Media Turn on Hillary

Hillary and Bill Clinton must be beside themselves over the way the mainstream media has treated them this presidential election cycle. (The MSM "Swiftboating" Hillary... WOW! ) If they were glass-half-full types, the power couple would be counting their blessings that this treatment didn't kick in when Bill was committing and covering up his felonies. [ed: The Democrats have repeatedly demonstrated their powers of negative thinking.]

Had the MSM been scrutinizing and exposing the Clintons' behavior in the '90s, it's very possible Bill never would have survived his impeachment ordeal. [ed: He did not survive it. He was impeached in the House of Representatives. The Clintons had possession of the FBI dossiers on all the senators so they had the blackmail material to head off the trial in the Senate. The fact remains, Slick Willy has the stain on his record of being impeached by the House.]

Imagine how different it would have been had the MSM focused their investigative microscopes and analytical energies on Hillary's cattle futures bonanza; the indefensible disappearance of her law firm billing records; her heartless and capricious firings of White House travel office personnel to benefit her friends; Bill's unconscionable, unsolicited pardons of FALN terrorist inmates to shore up the Hispanic vote for Hillary's New York Senate campaign; the endless trail of corruption with Red China and North Korea; the credible rape and sexual assault allegations against Bill coupled with Hillary's collusion in defusing the "bimbo eruptions"; and much more. (Nobody can spin one like Hillary )

What a difference a few years and the advent of a promising young liberal candidate such as Barack Obama make. Now that the media have chosen sides in favor of Obama, they've lifted their protection for the Clintons, and we're getting a glimpse of the vulnerability of the Clintons when they're separated from their MSM bodyguards.

Update: Now that this phase of Operation Chaos has been successfully concluded with the Obama Gang seizing the nomination over the political corpse of Hillary Clinton, the MSM is trying to sidle up and act as if nothing happened between them and the Clintons. Stabenow's husband could be called as witness against prostitute

A sex scandal has thrust another prominent Michigan politician into the unwanted limelight -- only this time, the politician is a woman and it's the spouse that's got some explaining to do.

Tom Athans, 46, the husband of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, was snagged by Troy police during a prostitution sting Feb. 26, it was revealed Wednesday.

The co-founder and former CEO of Democracy Radio and former executive vice president of the liberal Air America radio network was stopped by undercover officers after leaving a room at the Residence Inn, where he paid 20-year-old prostitute Alycia Martin $150 for oral sex, according to the police report.

Stabenow, a prominent Democrat who is two years into her current six-year term in the Senate, said in a statement that the report that her husband had paid a prostitute for sex "is very disturbing and serious. Obviously it's a deeply difficult and personal matter."

Athans, who married Stabenow in 2003, on Wednesday issued his own statement that said: "No words can fully express how sorry I am. At the time this incident occurred, I took responsibility for my actions and fully cooperated with law enforcement. My family and I are dealing with this matter in a personal and private way."

Police did not arrest Athans, who quickly agreed to cooperate after police pulled him over on northbound I-75 just north of Square Lake Road. Troy Police Lt. Gerard Scherlinck said the department typically does not arrest johns who agree to cooperate, in the hopes of busting prostitution rings and nabbing those who run them.

"This individual was completely cooperative, completely honest," he said in reference to Athans. "This person was treated no differently than any other individual that would have been stopped during one of these investigations."

After nabbing Athans, the department published information about the incident in its daily crime sheet, but without names, Scherlinck said.

"Then all of a sudden yesterday afternoon we got numerous calls based on tips," he said. "We were not the source of this story. Our position needs to be really clear - we didn't divulge any names or relationships."

The police report was released in response to Freedom of Information Act requests by the media. Under FOIA, the public has the right to information about the case because it's considered closed, Scherlinck said.

Athans will be called as a witness if the matter goes to trial. Martin has been arraigned. After being released, Troy police issued Athans a ticket for driving with a suspended license.

[VERY interesting... he was picked up in a prostitution sting and driving on a suspended license, and he only gets a harsh word as a penalty by agreeing to give a critique of the whores oral prowess. Who knows, the prosecutor may want to make an appointment later? Just goes to show that political connections rule in the state of Michigan, especially if your frau is a US Senartor.]

Hillary landing under fire...

Sen. Hillary Clinton has used a story of arriving in Bosnia under sniper fire to bolster her foreign policy bona fides, but the Washington Post retrieved a photo showing that upon landing, she actually was greeted in a customary tarmac ceremony, complete with a kiss for a native child.

"I remember landing under sniper fire," Clinton recounted. "There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base."

Comedian Sinbad, who was on the Bosnia trip along with singer Sheryl Crow, says Clinton is putting way too much on the situation. He says the trip was a USO tour to boost troop morale and that there was no sniper fire.

Time for her supporters to rally around the bag. Gotta keep up her support to the Obama level. All of you conservatives, be sure and register as Democrats to be able to vote in the Pennsylvania Democrat primary for Hillary as part of Operation Chaos.

They chose our candidate, lets show them that what comes around, goes around.

We are going to need some sound meters to measure the collective wails from the Obama camp when the Clintons rally the super delegates and then declare the state delegates as uncommitted.

The questions were as penetrating as one would expect when Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton recently appeared on fashion model Tyra Banks? weekday television chat show.

All were of the ?Mrs. Clinton, are you a goddess or just a saint?? variety, turning Banks? show into an unpaid Clinton commercial, a valuable campaign contribution.

During one of her rare recent appearances with a journalist, Clinton dodged a Tim Russert question on "Meet the Press" by imperiously cackling: ?Tim, I can?t let you get away with that.?

Russert, apparently cowed by fear of the feminist backlash that forced a recent groveling apology to her from MSNBC?s Chris Matthews, backed off.

This brings up the prospect of what questions might be asked of Clinton if a genuine journalist seriously interrogated her.

Here's my list:

• 1. Mrs. Clinton, will you pledge that as president you will never appoint to any federal court, including the U.S. Supreme Court, anyone who has had a law license suspended for unethical behavior? Of course, your husband Bill Clinton?s license to practice law was suspended for five years for lying under oath in a court case.

• 2. Mrs. Clinton, your concern for healthcare, especially for women and children, has inspired many. Among the biggest health problems of our time are sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs), including AIDS. In Africa, Barack Obama and his wife volunteered to be publicly tested for HIV, not because they feared having it but to set a good example that encouraged others to take such tests on this AIDS-plagued continent. In that spirit of encouraging others, will you and your husband prior to the Democratic National Convention volunteer to be tested for HIV, and to make the results of these tests public? Unlike past presidential candidates, you and your husband have refused to make your medical records available to reporters ? although your 1993 health plan would have opened every citizen?s health records to any curious government bureaucrat.

• 3. Mrs. Clinton, given the disgrace your husband brought upon the presidency through his promiscuous behavior, would he be given an office in your White House?

• 4. Mrs. Clinton, you have fought to end the exploitation of women in white slavery and international prostitution. But in 1996, you and your husband reportedly welcomed a campaign contribution of $400,000 from the boss of an alleged prostitution racket in Macau ? money he allegedly made on the backs of enslaved, exploited women. How do you square taking this money with your feminist ideals?

• 5. Mrs. Clinton, what money or promises have you or your operatives offered to former Sen. John Edwards to stay in the presidential race to split the anti-Clinton vote and thereby make possible your victory over Sen. Obama? Are the stories true that you and your husband had such a secret arrangement in 1992 with Ross Perot, who by attacking incumbent Republican George H.W. Bush siphoned off enough votes that you and Bill could win the presidency with only 43 percent of the popular vote?

• 6. Mrs. Clinton, you continue to stonewall journalist requests to see your records as first lady. Days ago the watchdog group Judicial Watch released a few documents it had acquired concerning your 1993 National Taskforce on Health Care Reform, which met in secret and never publicly revealed who was on it. One of these documents was a June 18, 1993, internal memorandum authored by someone with the initials ?P.S.? who wrote of your healthcare plan: ?I can think of parallels in wartime, but I have trouble coming up with a precedent in our peacetime history for such broad and centralized control over a sector of the economy . . . Is the public really ready for this? . . . none of us knows whether we can make it work well or at all . . .? Your health plan was by any measure an example of what author Jonah Goldberg titled his new best seller, "Liberal Fascism." Your scheme would have forced everyone into a single authoritarian plan, and would have fined any doctor $10,000 for treating a patient outside your socialist plan. In retrospect, was your attempt to nationalize and impose socialism upon one-seventh of the nation?s economy, the health sector, too secretive and too authoritarian? Can you promise never again to attempt any such high-handed expropriation if you become president?

• 7. Mrs. Clinton, the Clinton administration attempted to make ?religious harassment? a crime in the workplace comparable, ironically, to sexual harassment. A manager could commit ?religious harassment? merely by wearing a cross or a yarmulke or by having a Bible on his or her desk, and this could result in huge fines. As president would you again try to make religion a crime in the workplace?

The real Hillary finally is standing up...

Hillary Clinton made one thing very clear at Saturday night?s Democratic debate: Her likability tour is definitely over.

Baring her claws at opponents Barack Obama and John Edwards, the REAL Hillary was finally in evidence. The mask was off and her rage, arrogance, and sense of entitlement were on full display.

It was not a pretty picture.

From the first moment that she entered the stage, Hillary?s body language shrieked one thing ? smoldering, simmering anger. The constant smile and the cackling laugh that have been her campaign trademark were suddenly gone. In their place was a furious, primal glare.

And it wasn?t just aimed at her opponents. She seemed to be angry at the voters, too.

Now, with young people voting overwhelmingly for Obama, it is his freshness and likeability that contrast so sharply with her harsh and brittle persona. His veracity shows up very well against her phoniness. It was certainly evident in the debate.
