Okay, if you want to see Saddam Hussein hung without the media censorship, here is a new video of his execution. The quality of the video isn’t that great but it gives you a better sense of being there. If it bothers you, obviously don’t watch.

It actually isn’t THAT graphic, which leaves the main stream media censors with some explaining to do. It appears to be a cellphone video and is very shakey and unsteady.

However, one thing is certain. This brutal dictator who started three wars and is responsible for the graves of two million people will soon be in the ground himself. And if the act brings even just a little more legitimacy to the Iraqi government in the eyes of their people, perhaps good has come of it.

I AM posting the video because it is a newsworthy event, capping the life of one of the brutal tyrants of the past century. And I don’t like other people censoring and editing what others may want to watch.

Freddy Fender, Deceased at age 69

Tex-Mex singer Freddy Fender dies at 69

10/14/2006 8:52 PM, AP

Freddy Fender, the "Bebop Kid" of the Texas-Mexico border who later turned his twangy tenor into the smash country ballad "Before the Next Teardrop Falls," died Saturday. He was 69.

Fender, who was diagnosed with lung cancer in early 2006, died at noon at his Corpus Christi home with his family at his bedside, said Ron Rogers, a family spokesman.

His career really began in the late '50s, when he returned from serving in the Marines.

In February 1999, Fender was awarded a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame after then-Texas Gov. George W. Bush wrote to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce endorsing him.

Fender will be brought back to San Benito for a funeral and memorial services. Details on the arrangements were pending.

[ed: El Presidente Jorge Boosh and I will both miss you, Freddy!]

Crikey! The Croc Hunter is dead...BUMMER!

http://www.crocodilehunter.com

Croc Hunter, Steve Irwin, the hugely popular Australian television personality and conservationist, was killed Monday by a stingray while filming off the Great Barrier Reef. He was 44.

"He came on top of the stingray and the stingray's barb went up and into his chest and put a hole into his heart," said Stainton, who was on board Irwin's boat at the time.

Stingrays have a serrated, toxin-loaded barb, or spine, on the top of their tail. The barb, which can be up to 10 inches long, flexes if a ray is frightened. Stings usually occur to people when they step on or swim too close to a ray and can be excruciatingly painful but are rarely fatal, said University of Queensland marine neuroscientist Shaun Collin.
