GOP Senators Killing Energy Issue for Republicans and America

GOP Senators Killing Energy Issue for Republicans and America

Excerpts... go to the link above to read the whole article.

Last week, I wrote on efforts by House GOP members to draw attention to the fact that Nancy Pelosi sent House members home for the summer without a vote on domestic oil drilling. The American people want it, and the GOP House members are fighting for it. I also wrote on how big the energy issue is. It could be THE issue of the upcoming elections... an issue upon which Republicans could run AND win.

However, this is a new week, and whenever too much time passes, there is bound to be a new effort by the GOP to stall momentum and stab conservatives right in the heart. Who needs Democrats when so many GOP "leaders" act just like them? Now, we have the "Gang of 10." This group of senators (5 Republicans and 5 Democrats) claims to have forged a "bi-partisan energy compromise." In reality, we have a group of five GOP senators who are set on taking the winning issues of drilling and energy off the table and selling out to the liberals.

A report in Investor's Business Daily (IBD) sums up the situation perfectly: "If you thought Republicans were no longer 'The Stupid Party,' then you haven't met the senators who may have just destroyed the GOP's biggest hope this election year: the drilling issue."

IBD summarizes the issue as follows:

Sens. Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson of Georgia, Bob Corker of Tennessee, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and John Thune of South Dakota — remember their names if things go badly for the GOP this November.

With the issue of domestic drilling to provide relief for suffering consumers landing right in the laps of embattled congressional Republicans, those five — none of whom faces any immediate danger of losing his seat — decided to join with some crafty Democrats and smash to pieces that gift from the heavens.

The "compromise" they are promoting is actually a wholesale giveaway to Democrats. Touted as a drilling plan, it actually imposes about $84 billion in new taxes on oil companies and keeps the offshore and Arctic National Wildlife Refuge drilling bans.

We could expect no less from the RINOs in the senate, always eager to sink the GOP or complete the conversion to the Republican Neo-Democrats. After all, they will want to be able to caucus with the Democrats.

Health Care For Illegals - Part and Parcel of Obama and McCain Amnesty Dreams

Remember back to the big panderfests of the 2006-2007 legislative years when our elected representatives were clawing and scratching to see who could grovel the lowest before the illegals. Senate Bill 2611 was one of the results. We have the list of all those who voted for it. Obama and McCain are on the list. Both voted to give social security to illegals. The votes are part of public record. Obama and McCain are on record voting to give fake background checks to illegals, then allowing them to stay with benefits without having to wait for citizenship.

On this topic when you point a finger at one candidate, you must include the other.

http://www.newsmax.com/morris/obama_healthcare/2008/07/21/114994.html

Obama: Healthcare for Illegals

Nobody wants to die waiting in line - especially not behind someone who snuck in ahead of us.

Excerpts from the article by Dick Morris and Eileen McGann

posted: Monday, July 21, 2008 9:06 PM

Democrats' single most important domestic proposal — universal health insurance — may blow up in Barack Obama's face when voters are exposed to the deadly details.

Obama has said, proudly and often, "I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage." But are they "Americans?"

That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants, who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally.

Care for illegals is the biggest unmet medical need in our nation, and Obama's program targets it squarely. But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes? (...and as McCain also hopes? He is letting Obama be the lightning rod, but he too holds this as a fervent desire.)

McCain and Obama shared dreams = amnesty and other liberal issues

McCain has decided to forego support of conservatives as we would polute the purity of his Republican Neo-Democrats, the support coalition that has fueled his campaign to be the figurehead of the ex-GOP, now RND.

On the other hand, The DNC has issued a call to their party weedroots faithfull to help write the party platform. There are some 600 or so platform committees across the country. Does anyone seriously believe that the Socialist Democrats will actually listen to Joe Sixpack about what he wants? Rush Limbaugh has just issued new orders for Operation Chaos operatives to join the fun.

This truly is a strange campaign year. McCain has done all in his power to push away conservatives including the religious right. Obama, supporter of homosexuality and abortion, is trying to convince Christians that he is also a Christian and wants them to vote for him. Unfortunately there are a sizable number of Christians that are politically ignorant sheeples who do not look past the surface appearance. They will vote for Obama because Rev. Pfleger, the pro-abortion Catholic priest of the Chicago diocese's Saint Sabina RCC, and other liberal pseudo-Christian reverends says to vote this way. The Cardinal of Chicago turns a blind eye to most of this activity in his backyard.

Amnesty for criminal border jumpers, drug dealers and mules, and terrorist OTMs is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip with Senator Kennedy. McCain and Obama passed the terrorist bill of rights with affirmative votes from Senators Clinton and Lieberman (and a majority of Socialist Democrat senators), which would fit in with a general amnesty for all illegals, if enacted. McCain and Obama voted to give away social security (which is already going broke) to illegals. McCain is travelling the same road with Kennedy, Feingold, and other Socialist Democrats. McCain is the secret weapon of the socialist Democrats in this election. McCain holds hands with Algore in his quest for global dominion, forcing everyone to start riding bicycles so the elites can have all the fuel for their jets. Obama is a YES MAN for this issue. If elected, McCain will take over the global warming issue as his own. Fortunately, McCain is so old that he cant ride that horse for many years without a pact with the devil.

Senator Obama is right in there trying to show how socialist he is, voting for everything pushed his way by the Socialist Democrat party. He wants to remind everyone of his street agitator/organizer roots in Chicago. In the Illinois legislature, he was preparing for higher office, voting "present" over 70% of the time rather than leave a back trail to look at. Senator Obama is 100% pro-abortion and is lauded for this by the National Abortion Rights Action League.

That is, for what change is left in your pockets...

Will we reward either Obama or McCain? Apparently the answer is YES.

Below is a pictorial essay about the criminals they both want to convert into citizens, voters, and social security recipients..

AZTLAN as El Presidente Jorge Bush, Juan McCain, and Eduardo Kennedy have envisioned it. See the moebius strip flag showing that the US and Mexico are one and the same.

Si, for only $2000 yankee dollars you get super-citizen benefits that even citizens can not get.
A Mexican flag is hoisted over a US government facility in AZTLAN (Southern California)
Viva la revolution and Che Guevera, just what we need more of!
Mexicrat Poster in Texas, do you need any other proof of Democrat complicity.

Mexican demonstrator burning the stars and stripes. This is the kind of display to make any US military veterans blood boil... except for McCain, Kerry, Murtha, and members of the pander squad.

You convinced me... I can't go without my daily burrito fix!

This is the McCain and Obama vision of America, cheered on by El Presidente Jorge Bush. Both need a new underclass to dominate.

Citisenship for a CHEAP price, more than made up in benefits (food stamps, free health care, lower in-state college tuition rates, free public schools in language of choice, much more...) once criminal illegals are given legal status.

This is the McCain dream for America!

This is the Barack Hussein Obama dream for America!

===

This pictorial essay is just a reminder of what the real John McCain will attempt to foist on us once he is firmly seated in the White House. Obama will do this and more...

Thus far, McCain has refused any form of a "no amnesty pledge", and he has very carefully avoided it when asked, by saying that he is now for secure borders because he heard us and thinks that will satisfy our demands. No one thought to ask Obama to sign because he is hardcore socialist and his signature would be a lie anyway.

McCain promises amnesty for illegals to Hispanic lobbyists

http://www.examiner.com/a-1450453~McCain_meets_with_Hispanic_leaders.html

McCain meets with Hispanic leaders in a secret unpublicized meeting

Republican presidential candidate John McCain assured Hispanic leaders he would push through Congress legislation to overhaul federal immigration laws if elected, several people who attended a private meeting with the candidate said Thursday.

Democrats questioned why the Arizona senator held the meeting late Wednesday night in Chicago. But supporters who were in the room denied that McCain held the closed-door session out of fear of offending conservatives, many of whom want him to take a harder line on immigration.

===

McCain (Republican Neo-Democrat) has no fear of offending conservatives. It is ongoing, and he is un-apologetic. He figures he has this sowed up without conservatives. State GOP party leaders are holding their noses and figure to ride the lame nag they got stuck with in this race.

We will see...

RINO Hagel - Would jump at being Obama VP

http://www.examiner.com/a-1451721~Hagel _says_he_d _consider_VP _offer_from _Obama.html

Hagel says he'd consider VP offer from Obama.

===

Why quote any more? Follow the link if you are interested...

Chuck Hagel is a prime example of the type of "Republican" leader that we have had in the US Imperial Senate during the 2006-2007 legislative years.

Remember that Chuck Hagel was part of the RINO squad that passed S.2611 in a valiant attempt to jam us with an amnesty for 12-20 million criminals. The GOP veneer is wearing thin and his true self is showing through to the public. Is this the "conservative" that folks back home in Nebraska thought they were getting when they elected him to the senate and other previously held offices?

There are still more of these pseudo-Republicans, the republican Neo-Democrats, hiding on the GOP side of the aisle waiting to stab us in the back.

Random thoughts on a McCain presidency

McCain is a good imitation of a centrist Democrat, next to the center aisle... hey that is like his Republican position, left, up against the center where he can reach out to hug a fellow traveller! Expect temporary rightward shifts until after the election.

What can we expect if McCain is elected?

McCain is no conservative and will prove it once elected, a meld of "Brave New World" and "1984" [Surely you jest? No and dont call me Shirley!]

Four more years of Bush? Hah! People will look back on the Bush presidency as the "good old days" after McCain is done with the US

Tax cuts ala Bush... don't you believe it. It is a McCain campaign ploy to mollify weak conservatives [aka linguini spined moderates] - Remember politicians promise everything, deliver little on campaign promises

Gun control... tyrants fear an armed populace and what McCain plans will have people up in arms [Keep your powder dry and stock up now]

Further erosion of freedom of speech going beyond (McCain-Feingold) political speech. Expect attacks and restrictions on internet and talk radio to start.

An improved and expanded Terrorist Bill of Rights [The supreme court is already working on this in anticipation of McCain's election, giving terrorists more legal rights before federal courts than citizens have.]

Reparations for all Iraq and Afghanistan POWs from Club Gitmo and other compounds that claim to have been tortured [More Whacko McCain nuttiness, I wont speculate to what levels he will take this.]

A new as yet un-named CONSERVATIVE party as McCain drags down the Republican Party morphing it into the RINO Neo-Democrat Party

Joe Lieberman thumbing his nose at the Socialist Democrat Party from his VP office

Rick Davis as White House Chief of Staff [and still drawing a $110,000 a year consulting fee from Reform Institute/George Soros]

Billionaire George Soros will have a hotline installed to McCain [He funds McCain's Reform Institute]

Algore as Secretary of Global Climate Change [We know that McCain is a global warming whacko nutball.]

Dr Juan Hernandez as Secretary of Hispanic Affairs [dual citizen (US and Mexico) McCain campaign advisor and former advisor to Mexican El Presidente Vincente Fox. He will be laison and inside man for La Raza.]

Amnesty for all current illegals that can prove that they have been here for at least 30 minutes, with super-citizen status after a 10 second background check [ Habla ingles? Si? You are a citizen.]

McCain: "Borders? What borders?"

Elevation of the usage of words "illegal alien" to hate crime status

Other select cabinet positions (existing and new) for Democrat colleagues as a "reach across the aisle" gesture of friendship [Can't we all get along?]

Depending on how far McCain's insanity goes... Civil War [Really! McCain is Insane! So are those who want to give this escapee from the cuckoos nest the football.]

This election year, both parties are royally screwed, thus the country as a whole.

Liberal Gospel According to McCain: Global Warming is REAL

McCain has abandoned any chance of support from REAL conservatives.

Neo-cons/faux-cons falling all over themselves to support McCain while saying "What choice do we have?" Michigan's Chuck Yob (google him) and his son are perfect examples of this mind set. They are the Michigan cheer leaders for McCain.

He has moved farther left and this is just the start as he tries to out-liberal career socialists.

That old liberal candidate chosen for the GOP by crossover Democrats says that global warming is real. He blames our exhalation of carbon dioxide as the primary green house gas. He is joining the liberals in their efforts to blame the USA for global warming. McCain is trying to highlight how different he is from Republicans to the right of his position, like George Bush. McCain wants to appear to his Democrat supporters as a good little liberal like Clinton and Obama.

I wonder if he has asked Algore to be his VP? Would Algore take something like this? NAH! That is just silly speculation. McCain doesn't need Algore to establish his liberal credentials. He has been flashing them for years. They have moved covert agents into the GOP in key positions to support this kind of candidate.

NOTE to grassroots conservative activists and candidates; You now have the opportunity to identify the close supporters and confidants of liberal John McCain. A purge of the party at the grassroots local party level will be necessary if the GOP is to recover. Party politics starts at the roots and radiates upward. Otherwise the party is on the way out and conservatives may have to form a new party to offset the New Liberal Republicans and the Socialist Liberal Democrats.

The choices this year are between a liberal Democrat and a liberal Republican.... damned poor choices either way. The differences between candidates are increasingly being seen as purely cosmetic surface appearances. They are politically compatible.

We can expect another 4 years of attempts to give amnesty to illegal aliens. McCain is promising this, and the Democrats have been 100% steadfast supporters of amnesty for illegal aliens.

Will the patriots have the patience and strength to hold out another 4 years of globalist traitors in the hopes of getting someone that is a patriotic American as president?

I admit to a feeling of fatigue and a sorrow at the direction the country is heading.

Note to McCain - Your chickens are coming home to roost

In my email, a note from that old liberal, John McCain, by way of HumanEvents.com as a paid political ad, a plea for money.

Little Johnny is trying the Supreme Court appointee card, hoping that will be the key to whip conservatives into line behind him.

McCain is STILL an unrepentent liberal with some moderate to conservative tendencies. Unfortunately for the USA he is an OLD set-in-his-ways politician that has his plans and he will never change to satisfy conservatives. Instead, he is looking for a common ground that will draw us to him without his having to make any compromises of his liberal positions. He tries to use this to call himself a conservative. HAH!

Little Johnny McCain says: "If you want judges who will clearly and completely adhere to the Constitution of the United States and who do not legislate from the bench to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court, then I ask that you join my campaign... If either Senator Clinton or Senator Obama is elected... They will appoint judges who legislate from the bench."

Little Johnny McCain says: "America needs a leader who recognizes that the people and the states should decide what's best, not the courts. In order to be that leader"

John, while in the senate, you repeatedly wrote and co-authored legislation against the will of your constituents, acting in concert with Democrat Senators Clinton, Obama, Kennedy, Kerry, Lieberman, Feingold, etc. How can we consider what you say as anything but campaign double-speak? More of the old politician talking out both sides of his face? You go out and play you liberal games that go way beyond minor dalliance with liberals and then stand and demand that conservatives form a circle around you and defend you? You were not there when we needed you on immigration and other issues! You were a member of the RINO cabal, the gang of 14 co-conspirators, morphing into the gang of 23 RINOs. You were warned!

Using words of Jeremiah Wright out of context....

John McCain, "...your chickens are coming home to roost!"

Frist: Democrat Iceberg Approaching

In today's email comes a note from former senator and RINO panderer, Bill Frist (VOLPAC), warning that the Democrat iceberg is coming to sink the GOP Titanic, the unsinkable.

Here is my reply to him sent in email:

Bill,

Isn't it wonderfull how successfull you were in your vote suppression tactics back before the midterm election??? You have so angered the conservative base that the party is going down the tubes.

Thanks a hell of a lot Bill. You guys thought you were sailing the unsinkable Titanic or something and could just do as you pleased.

A runaway train better illustrates what had become of the Republicans in the senate under Frist leadership. Nothing changed after you turned over the controls. The RINOs were just as adamant for amnesty and tried again.

When you were the "majority" leader, you lead the party into the sewer with your abject pandering to illegal alien criminals along with your buddies, McCain, Hagel, Brownback, Martinez, and more. Now McCain thinks that the coming train wreck will force conservatives to kiss his ass. Wrong!

You panderers will never get anything right and that is why we must get all of you out of office.

This is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip with Senator Kennedy.

McCain The Trojan Horse Candidate - Funded by Soros since 2001

John McCain, the anti-conservative trojan horse candidate.

Anyone claiming that McCain is a conservative better take a closer look at him. This is the candidate that George Bush just endorsed as a REAL CONSERVATIVE.

ELECTION 2008

John McCain funded by Soros since 2001

Candidate's Reform Institute also accepted funds from Teresa Kerry

By Jerome R. Corsi

As Sen. John McCain assumes the GOP front-runner mantle, his long-standing, but little-noticed association with left-wing donors such as George Soros and Teresa Heinz Kerry is receiving new attention among his Republican critics.

In 2001, McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros' Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation and several other prominent non-profit organizations.

John McCain and George Soros

George Soros is a name that many on both sides of the aisle recognize. For Conservatives he is the name of that devil with the deep pockets behind the socialization of America and the world. If Liberalism breeds there, more than likely, Soros' checkbook is somewhere attached.

John McCain is the name of a Republican that has taken over the lead for the 2008 Presidential nomination and has many Conservatives befuddled because they do not care to vote for him, but feel that they must because he is still much better than his liberal Democrat counterparts. Not voting for John McCain, the Conservative has reasoned, is like voting for Barack Obama or Hillary Rodham Clinton.

When considering John McCain's left-leaning tendencies, however, it comes to no surprise that he associates with a left-wing donor such as George Soros. In fact,

In fact, prominent senior officials on the McCain 2008 presidential campaign staff have found well paid positions at Soros' Reform Institute.

And John McCain is the guy we are supposed to vote for to fight against Liberalism?

===

The Soros-Kerry funding connection with McCain was first exposed by Ed Morrissey at the Captains Quarters blog in 2005.

http://www.captainsquartersblog.com/mt/archives/004026.php

Inside McCain's Reform Institute

by Ed Morrissey - March 9, 2005

When CQ first covered the Bradley Smith interview that started the blogswarm on the FEC and the BCRA this week, I noted several unusual relationships between the donors and the institute, all hinging on Richard Davis, RI's president and John McCain's campaign manager. Since Davis also acts as McCain's chief political advisor, I found it odd that the RI -- which pays Davis a $110,000 "consulting fee" annually instead of a salary as its president -- received money from donors such as the sources that follow below.

Bear in mind, please, that foundations don't just line up to hand out cash. Rick Davis has to apply and then campaign for these funds, as budgets are limited even for the richest foundations. They carefully select their grantees to ensure that they support the overall mission of the foundation. Why would a close political advisor to John McCain go to these sources almost exclusively for the major funding of the non-profit that seeks to support McCain, a supposedly conservative Republican?

The Tides Foundation, which heavily promotes "reproductive justice", giving over $500,000 to pro-abortion efforts. They also actively oppose the death penalty (so do I, FYI). John McCain opposes abortion and supports the death penalty, so why is his chief political advisor getting so much support from those who ostensibly oppose him?

Educational Foundation Of America, which also supports abortion. EFA also opposes drilling in ANWR, an issue on which McCain has an ambivalent record. It also supports euthanasia and assisted suicide through the Death With Dignity National Center, a group which it gave $45,000. It gave $100,000 to the Alliance for Nuclear Accountability, which opposed the Yucca Mountain nuclear depository (McCain supported it), and opposes development of low-yield nuclear "bunker buster" bombs, which McCain supports.

In fact, EFA appears to contribute to just about every left-wing cause imaginable, as well as a number of noncontriversial charities and outreach efforts.

The Proteus Fund, which also opposed the Yucca Mountain repository, spending $75K to stop it. That pales in comparison to the $935K they spent on supporting gay marriage initiatives, which McCain strongly opposes. They have also spent over $800,000 funding nuclear-disarmament and antiwar causes in each of the last two years. Their Security Policy Working Group contains nothing but left-of-center groups like Project on Defense Alternatives, which calls the Iraqi elections "faulty" and predicted disaster for the Bush administration's "program of coercive transformation throughout the region."

OSI (Open Society Institute), founded and funded by George Soros. Among a litany of left-wing causes supported by OSI are People For The American Way, to support their Supreme Court Project. (Hint: It isn't intended on assisting Bush get his nominees confirmed.) They also gave $150,000 to the Campaign Legal Center, which will be important shortly.

David Geffen Foundation also shows up on the list, although not in the top tier. David Geffen is an entertainment-industry mogul who supports Democrats and left-wing causes. They do not have a website I could find, but Activistcash.com notes that in 2002, most of the grants Geffen gave went to environmental activists and the Tides Foundation and Tides Center.

But the oddities don't end at the donors page for Reform Institute. We've already detailed how McCain's chief political advisor earns a six-figure income from the nonprofit which heavily promotes McCain and the BCRA. As the New York Times noted yesterday, RI provides a back-channel method of keeping his campaign staff employed without McCain having to do any fundraising for his political campaigns -- and avoiding the donation caps that come into play for his donors. And Davis isn't the only beneficiary of this loophole.

Trevor Potter works as General Counsel to the Reform Institute. Coincidentally or not, Potter also worked as general counsel to McCain during his 2000 run for the presidency. Potter also is employed as President and General Counsel to the Campaign Legal Center, making him a direct beneficiary of the George Soros donation to this non-profit group as well as at RI. Potter also released a "don't worry, be happy" statement about the FEC's decision not to appeal the Shays-Meehan lawsuit judgment overturning the Internet exemption to the BCRA which failed to disclose Potter's connections to RI, Soros, or McCain.

John McCain, who has long campaigned on a promise to rid politics of big money, not only has built himself a lucrative third-party solution for fundraising but also a shelter to keep two of his top campaign operatives employed between elections. These top strategists also have an odd taste for funding sources, considering McCain's public positions on key issues for his base. That money pays their salaries and indicates a certain amount of influence among McCain's political staff. It demonstrates better than anything else could the corrosive nature of hidden money and back-channel dealings, which the BCRA not only doesn't resolve but almost requires for campaign fundraising.

This shows the futility of the BCRA just as much as it does the hypocrisy of John McCain in creating it and expanding it. The only solution for corruption is direct contributions that get immediate and full disclosure, not limitations on political speech. I can't think of a better example than the Byzantine mess I've described above to make that point.

===

Juan Hernandez, the former Mexican Secretary For Immigration Affairs under the Vicente Fox administration in Mexico, has been discovered to be working for the John McCain campaign as their Hispanic Outreach Director. For those who don't know Juan Hernandez is a dual citizen of the United States and Mexico. Having worked in Mexico's government and now apparently in ours, I consider him a double agent and obviously not working in just the best interests of the United States, but in the best interests of Mexico as well. These best interests include allowing millions of illegal aliens in the United States to remain here and in the future for millions more to come.

===

McCain says he has heard us but don't you believe it. He says he will secure the borders and then we will talk about legalizing the criminals in hiding.

So you still want to vote for McCain as the lesser of two evils? I'd say that maybe we ought to think SERIOUSLY about a write-in candidate.

Now we find out that RINO John is a front man for the billionaire socialist, George Soros, and an even better buddy of John Kerry than we ever suspected, taking cash from Kerry's very liberal cash cow, Tides Foundation.

The Clintonista news media has been instrumental in the buildup and maintainance of the McCain image all throughout the past few years to bring him to this point. That is when they will turn on him and he will make a piteous plea to the conservatives to pull his nuts out of the fire because of the loss of his previous support coven. Nolan Finley whines: No room in GOP tent for free thinkers? He means mavericks!

No room in GOP tent for free thinkers

by Nolan Finley

[WAAAAhhhh! Snif Snif Whine... from Nolan, the liberal MSM McCain apologist.]

Joe Schwarz knows how it feels to be fragged by his own political party.

Schwarz, the former congressman from Battle Creek, had his legs shot out from under him by the Republican Party's right wing, which decided his independence and occasional flirtation with moderate politics violated party doctrine and demanded excommunication.

Now Schwarz is watching as the GOP's self-righteous screechers try to hang a scarlet "L" around the neck of his good friend John McCain.

So Joe was a free thinker and McCain is a maverick. Either way, if you piss off the electorate, your career as a representative of the people is over unless you can wangle a way into national politics where the MSM can spin you into a celebrity GOP backstabber.

"The same gang that got me is going after him," [whimper, sob] says Schwarz, who lost his seat after just one term in 2006. "They are so intolerant and their minds so narrow that they can't see the damage their doing to their own party. They're not interested in getting candidates elected; they only want doctrinal purity." [breaking into 'gator tears, sobbing uncontrollably]

Conservatives to Joe Schwarz: "When citizens demand that you vote one way and you decide unilaterally to vote against the wishes of the people who put you there, it is BYE-BYE time for you. The citizens didn't put you there to vote with the Democrat caucus. Listen to the 'whine' in the tone of Joe's message. He can't pick up his marbles and run home because he had them taken away from him."

The assault on McCain from conservative talk show hosts and the party's high priests continues even though it's inevitable now that the Arizona senator will be the GOP's nominee for president. If it keeps up, McCain will have to survive deadly assaults from both Republicans and Democrats to win the White House.

Conservatives to McCain: "Your liberal MSM friends, liberal cross-over voters, and other moderates got you to this point without any help from conservatives. Lets see them propel you the rest of the way. Why should we now be forced to support the choice of liberals for our party candidate? You now claim conservative positions after sleeping with the enemy for years, John."

To win in 1992, Bill Clinton had to convince the Democratic Party's pinkos that victory would only be found in the center. John McCain, to win in 2008, must force the GOP's right-wing nuts to the same reality.

Conservatives to Nolan Finley: "Ahh Nolan. What are we going to do with you? You confuse a hard right shift to a middle of the road position by Bill Clinton, at least during his "How can we fool them today?" campaign when he had to dupe voters, with conservatives that do not need to shift right. Conservatives lose whenever that are perceived as moving to the left as you say we should be doing. GOP modrates lost seats in the 2006 midterm to Democrats, who had campaigned on positions more conservative than the Republicans they replaced. This was a case of Democrats moving RIGHT to unseat middle of the road Republicans who more than likely had staked out left of center positions to try to appeal to liberals (just like McCain). In the case of the John McCain campaign, it has been fueled thus far by moderate Republicans and cross-over Democrats. Ahhh why bother, Nolan is editor for the liberal motor city rag, The Detroit News."

McCain tries to assuage conservatives

By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Republican John McCainis trying to ease long-standing distrust among the party's powerful conservatives. It will be a slow process.

"I believe that the majority of Republican Party conservatives are convinced that I'm best equipped to lead this country, unify our party and take on the challenge of radical Islamic extremism," McCain told reporters Saturday.

As Super Tuesday looms — and the possibility that McCain could all but wrap up the nomination — the chattering conservative class is in an uproar. Talk show host Rush Limbaugh has warned that McCain as standard-bearer would destroy the Republican Party. Author and pundit Ann Coulter, in jaw-dropping heresy, said she would campaign for Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton if McCain wins the party nod. Commentators Laura Ingraham, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin have come out in support of McCain's rival, Mitt Romney.

Surrogates for the former Massachuttsetts governor have claimed that McCain is outside the GOP mainstream.

"If you are a Republican in the broadest sense, there is only one place to go right now, and that's Mitt Romney," said former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.

In four terms in the Senate, McCain has built a solid conservative record on scores of issues. He consistently opposed abortion and favored gun rights. He has challenged runaway federal spending and lawmakers' pet projects. He is a defense hawk and has been one of the strongest backers of the Iraq war.

[Hey John! We remember your support for the so called "assault weapons" ban, an attack on the rights of citizens. According to you, if it looks military it is an assault weapon, never mind that it can NOT go full auto and is NOT a machine gun. By a broad interpretation of your assault weapons ban, many hunting guns would be affected after the Brady Bunch got through. Liz, we have better memories than you give us credit for.]

But McCain has bucked the party over the years on high-profile issues and, in doing so, made his share of enemies on the right.

He co-authored campaign-finance reforms that critics say limit free speech, made combatting global warming a priority and supported an eventual path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants. He twice voted against President Bush's tax cuts, favored relaxing restrictions on federal financing of embryonic stem cell research and objected to a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage although he opposes same-sex unions.

To assuage conservatives, McCain has rolled out endorsements from leading conservatives and aired a new television ad that mentions Ronald Reagan. He plans to attend a major gathering of conservatives later this month.

[How dare a RINO like McCain sully the good name of Ronaldus Magnus Maximus. Little Johnny has over a 20 year history of giving us the finger and now he wants to try to smooth things over to grease the way into the White House? There are two words for you John and the first begins with F. (note 1) ]

McCain also is appealing to the pragmatic side of conservatives, stressing the need for a unified party in what is certain to be a fierce fight for the White House.

[What pragmatic side, John? You pragmatically ignored us in favor of illegal alien criminals. Why should we accept another Bush Amnesty Clone for another 4 years. After the last two years of you giving us the finger on your illegal alien amnesty bullarkey, we are not in the mood to roll over and take it in the cheeks from you again. See solution below.]

[Solution ... ] [no hotlinking to images used here]

"it is critical for him to build a strong and stable bridge to the constituency that every cycle rings the phones, knocks on the doors and gets the vote out," said Greg Mueller, a conservative Republican strategist. "Endorsements alone will not be enough. Many conservatives will look to see what issues he emphasizes on the campaign trail from now until Election Day." [Not when he is endorsed by more squishy moderates! This grassroots activist will not support a McCain candidacy.]

McCain aides are mindful of that, and he's started to make a "big tent" argument.

[This is where he says that he wants to make room enough in the BIG TENT for all of us conservatives to support a squishy maverick RINO along with his liberal and moderate supporters that have kept him alive all through the open primaries by crossing over to vote for him.]

"We need all parts of our party together if we're going to win in November. I believe our party is beginning to realize that," McCain said Thursday at a Los Angeles news conference where he stood next to California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani — two Republicans who also rankle conservatives.

[No John, only the wobbly moderates are suddenly discovering that they are not enough to tip you over into the White House.Governator Schwarzenhooger is a wobbly moderate in the kindest description of him. If he had run as a Democrat he would be described as a centrist. There are Democrats that are more conservative than Schwarzy. His Kennedy ties dont help. In fact Schwarzenegger is married to one, and McCain is so close to Teddy that they could be mistaken for an old married couple where amnesty and a host of other shared legislative goals are concerned.]

McCain aides say they are confident that the major conservative coalitions such as the National Rifle Association and the National Right to Life Committeewill eventually fall in line behind McCain, and the campaign has reached out to such groups in recent weeks.

He champions border security first; he says he's listening to a public [BULLSHIT!] that spoke loudly during last year's passionate debate over immigration.

"We'd like to have a total united party, but I also realize that there's some people that just may not be able to support me at the end of the day, and I understand that," McCain says. "But I've got to work to get as much of the party as I can because we've got an uphill battle for November."

[I was going to say the line about "Fool us once...etc." but you didn't fool us before and you are not fooling us now. McCain is a commited amnesty panderer and is NOT a conservative. I was going to quote whole article but cant stand it any longer. You get the idea. Lizzy and her socialist liberal employers at AP are trying to convince us that McCain is conservative. They want to have their wet dream of a McCain/Clinton race cum true!]

===

CONSERVATIVES to John McCain:

Back in 2006 and again in 2007 while you were having your pander orgies with President Bush and the rest of the senate RINOs (Frist, Hagel, Brownback, Martinez, and the rest of the gang of 23 RINOs), the senate Democrats (39 of 'em including Obama and Clinton), La Raza and the rest of the collaborators in the amnesty attempts, we very vocally told you that we would make you pay. If you panderers had wanted border security, we would already have it and would not be in the middle of this current situation, so on the face of it, you are telling us another whopper. BZZZZZT! Wrong answer John!

Payday is coming ASSHOLE!

Why is McCain doing this now? This is his last shot at elective office. Back home in Arizona he could not run for dog catcher right now, at least not as a Republican.

The 2007 Amnesty Year Review

2007 was the year when a powerfull axis of organizations joined to try to force amnesty for illegal aliens against the will of the citizens of the USA.

Groups Join Forces on Immigration

By Eunice Moscoso | Thursday, January 18, 2007, 02:17 PM

Groups lobbying for changes in the nation’s immigration laws, including a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, have dubbed themselves the “Alliance for Immigration Reform 2007.” [aka "The Amnesty AXIS", "The AXIS of Evil", or just "The AXIS"]

The organizations, which announced their new name Thursday in a conference call with reporters, include the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights group; the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops; the Service Employees International Union; the National Immigration Forum; and the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank based in New York.

“This is the year to get this done,” said Tamar Jacoby, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. “Everybody, no matter who they are, is sick of the illegality and the porous borders. Businesses are tired of lying to the government and having to break the law just to get the work done. Latinos want to see their friends and family able to work with dignity. And soccer moms and dads want to see Congress solve something.”

Bruce Josten, executive vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said he expected President Bush to address immigration in his State of the Union speech Tuesday.

“I have absolutley no doubt that he will raise this issue and he will press and stay on the message he has been on since a candidate for this office for a comprehensive solution to immigration,” Josten said.

White House spokesman Tony Snow confirmed the topic.

The speech “will address major issues, including the war on terror, energy, health care, immigration, and education,” he told reporters Thursday.

The AXIS: Despite the backing of the US Chamber of Commerce, the Bishops, Arch Bishops, and Cardinals of the American Catholic Church, Big Union (AFL-CIO represented by SEI), a putatively conservative think tank (Manhattan Institute), El Presidente Bush, the DNC including all but a bare handfull of Democrat senators, approximately half of the GOP senators (including Frist, the GOP senate majority leader), MoveOnKoSoroStryker (arguably this IS the true leadership of the DNC politburo), and the MSM which is always sympathetic to socialist/leftist causes, but especially for amnesty...

The Patriots: Patriotic Citizens of all political persuasions joined together to turn back the AXIS attempt to dissolve our national sovereignty that would have effectively thrown open our borders to tens of millions of newly arriving illegal aliens.

The amnesty attempts were formulated in secret with no involvement in legislative committees. La Raza and other amnesty pimps were allowed to give input as to the content of the first bill (S.1348) to be taken directly to the senate floor, where The AXIS thought they had enough votes to force it through.

A very smug George Bush said, "I'll see you at the signing!" [...instead he got bitch-slapped again, just like with Dubai Ports and Harriet Miers. This may explain why he had his pet prosecutor, Jonny Sutton, dump border guards in prison while using a Bush Cartel drug smuggler as witness in the star chamber trials.]

Can you imagine the expression on the face of El Presidente Bush when he found out that The PATRIOTS had been flooding their senators and congressmens phones, faxes, and emails with demands that this bad legislation be defeated... and it was.

The AXIS made another stealth attempt with a renumbered amnesty package (S.1639). They tried a tactic of making the legislators unavailable except through special hotlines to allow illegal aliens to call in, excluding The PATRIOTS. These numbers were made public and citizens started using them too. Once again, The Patriots prevailed over The AXIS.

The midterm elections in 2006 was a turning point. It turned the senate and house, starting in 2007, over to Democrats. The new majority was made possible by new Democrat candidates who ran on platforms that were, in most cases, more conservative than their opponents. Time will tell if this is true.

The AXIS was not through with their attempts though. Instead of the comprehensive, big package approach, they shifted gears and now are using the incremental approach of attaching small items to other unrelated legislation to slip it to us a little at a time. The DREAM act was such a piece of legislation.

The AXIS had one victory in December of 2007. The managed to defund and kill the border fence that was authorized in 2006. This is a reason that patriotic citizens must stand together.

[The "death by a thousand cuts" analogy has been made as relates to the slow infiltration, occupation, and take over of our southwestern states without a shot being fired except by criminal gangs of illegals. El Presidente Bush has no intention of enforcing immigration law strenuously during his tenure, so this will fall to whoever is elected as the next president. By that time it may be necessary to use military units to clean out and retake our territory from the occupying hoard while guarding the border against military incursions from the south.]

See: I am an American Citizen

Here is the page about the private hotlines for illegals to use to call in: Bush Listening

The Bush scandal that the MSM refused to cover, because it was a willing participant, is known as Bordergate. The MSM tried to fabricate out of whole air various things to use as a scandal for Bush, such as manufactured military records by CBS/Damn Rather, when they had everything they need, if they had not been so heavily involved themselves, via their political allegiance to the socialist Democrats who are also primo amnesty panderers.

In December 2007, Michigan AG Mike Cox issued his opinion (weight of law unless successfully challenged in court) that illegal aliens may not be issued Michigan drivers licenses, a reversal of the opinion of the Democrat former AG Frank Kelley. How this will affect the illegals already holding Michigan Drivers Licenses (and possibly voter registration cards) was not dealt with as far as I can ascertain. We may well face a certain number of illegal voters at the polls.

Independent Liberal Democrat and amnesty co-conspirator Senator Joe Lieberman endorsed John McCain for president.

Bush pardoned and commuted sentences of 105 criminals (fraud, robbery, drug smuggling, forgery, counterfeiting, car theft, income tax evasion, military AWOL, moonshining and bootlegging (illegal liquor), theft of US mail, illegal weapons) and no pardons or commutations for Ramos, Compean, or any of the other law men who were railroaded into prison by his pet prosecutor, Johnny Sutton. George did spring Scooter Libby (commuted not pardoned).

Keith Butler, NOT a Co-chair for John McCain *UPDATE*

UPDATE

I just got the word that Keith Butler is supporting Huckabee and the McCain camp (read Yob and Hughes) refuses to take Keith's name off their literature and web page. This is a measure of the desperation in the McCain campaign here in Michigan with all the recent defections.

===

The McCain web page in Michigan shows this...

John McCain State Committee members:

Co-Chairs

Republican National Committeeman Chuck Yob

Republican National Committeewoman Holly Hughes

Former U.S. Senate Candidate Keith Butler [actually is supporting Huckabee]

===

On September 21st of 2007 I was forwarded this message [below] because Keith was running for the RNC National Committeeman position and I was opposing his nomination because of what Scott Greenlee had said about Keith's position on illegal aliens. Greenlee said that Keith's position was for a "path to citizenship", the Bush-Kennedy-McCain mantra. A check of Keith's senate campaign web site seemed to support this. (I wish I had cached a copy of the page.)

From: Keith Butler [mailto:butlerkeith@xxxxxxx.com]

Sent: Thursday, September 20, 2007 10:12 PM

First he is misrepresenting my position. I do not support amnesty. I withdrew from the McCain campaign in part because of it. I handed out thousands of copies of my book "Reviving the American Spirit" to our delegates,I have an entire chapter on this. Chapter five to be exact. On page 74 I say that Illegal immigration is a grave threat to our country. On page 79 I say that the amnesty approach has been tried in the past and it did not work. At no time have I supported. I did not support McCain bill.

===

...and from the McCain State Committee I see that Keith Butler is currently listed as a co-chair so there is a problem here. [NO MORE! The McCain camp refuses to take Keith's name off their list.]

McCain is still as big an amnesty panderer as he ever was. He insistes that the immigration system is broken when it is the will to enforce laws by pandering politicians that is broken. New laws that go unenforc
