I just received an email from an Obamessiah support group calling themselves, "Vets for Obama".

John McCain is supposed to be the POW super-vet, loved by the veterans organizations and active duty military.

It turns out that he voted against funding increases for the veterans four years running and doesn't want to talk about it in any townhall setting.

It's just his maverick side coming out to piss off another of his constituencies that should be a gimme.

John, it is getting down to just you and your illegal alien buddies, at least those who have wangled a state drivers license and false voter registration.

Is John McCain going to turn out to be the Republican Neo-Democrat version of socialist Democrat John Kerry?

More foreign fighters join Taliban in Afghanistan

KABUL (Reuters) - More foreign fighters are joining the ranks of Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan as militants increasingly cross the border from Pakistan to attack Afghan and Western troops, the Afghan Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

Afghanistan has kept up a barrage of criticism against neighbor Pakistan in the last three months, accusing Pakistani agents of being behind a string of high-profile attacks and allowing militants sanctuary along the long and porous border.

"The presence of foreign fighters is increasing, and increasingly the operations of the terrorists are led by foreigners," Defense Ministry spokesman General Mohammad Zaher Azimi told a news conference.

Afghan, NATO and U.S.-led coalition forces are struggling to contain a sharp surge in violence as the traditional summer fighting season gets into full swing.

McCain backs off his no-new-tax pledge

WASHINGTON - Republican presidential candidate John McCain drew a sharp rebuke Monday from conservatives after he signaled an openness to a higher payroll tax for Social Security, contrary to previous vows not to raise taxes of any kind.

Speaking with reporters on his campaign bus on July 9, he cited a need to shore up Social Security, saying: "I cannot tell you what I would do, except to put everything on the table."

He went a step farther Sunday with his reponse on a nationally televised talk show to a question about payroll tax increases.

"There is nothing that's off the table. I have my positions, and I'll articulate them. But nothing's off the table," McCain said. "I don't want tax increases. But that doesn't mean that anything is off the table."

Indeed, McCain frequently has promised not to raise taxes.

At a July 7 town-hall meeting in Denver, he said voters faced a stark choice between him and Democrat Barack Obama.

"Sen. Obama will raise your taxes," McCain said. "I won't." [LIAR!]

Federal Election Commission reports show Obama has raised at least $1 million... The European totals include contributions of $200 or more from each individual as election laws do not require campaigns to itemize lesser amounts. (ed: How is the FEC able to closely track this on contributions made in foreign countries? Are the Obamessiah acolytes counting the collection plate and giving a daily tally to the FEC?)

Obama's many backers in Europe say they are motivated by a yearning for America to once again be viewed with respect by the rest of the world. (ed: This means that they want us to join the growing number of countries under socialist rule to become a World Union of Socialist Republics.)

The disparity between the two candidates underscores the Democratic candidate's appeal on a continent where Obamamania seems to have taken hold of expatriates and Europeans alike.

Obama has been much more sophisticated about Internet usage, and when you live overseas that's the easiest way to contribute. (ed: The internet makes election year fraud much easier to do and harder to trace. Thank Algore.)

Each donor is permitted to give a maximum of $2,300 for each election, but since the primaries are regarded as a separate election, a person can make two separate donations of $2,300 before the general election in November. While some gave the maximum, others made contributions in the $10 and $25 range.

(ed: This kinda makes you sit back and say "hmmmmm" as you ponder the fact that now we have the Fieger Precedent. Geoffy was able to get underlings and associates to donate large sums of cash (over $100,000) to Democrat causes and then reimburse them to disguise the source. What is driving the soul deep yearning for the Obamessiah here and overseas? Three words describe it best: Bush Derangement Syndrome

Europeans are being given a chance to express the BDS and possibly get a vote if the Dems can figure a way to manufacture enough fake expatriate voter registrations to allow for absentee ballots for all of them. Be alert for them to try to block ballots from overseas serving airmen, soldiers, sailors, and marines.

We have illegal aliens here who managed to get registered before the drivers license/motor voter easy portal to voter registration was clamped down. We have heard an estimate that up to 3% of the vote is illegals and it is enough to sway the results one way or the other. In this years election it almost doesn't matter because both sides are belly crawling panderers to illegals, and will give legal status to these criminals. I just want to block the illegal vote.

How will the illegals, that have managed to register to vote, accomplish the deed this year? Absentee Ballots, now that they are registered they can vote where no one can challenge their vote. The absentee ballot is the means that Democrats use to manufacture graveyard votes, pet registration votes, New England-Florida Snowbird votes. They are endlessly creative at ways to defraud the voting public. The absentee ballot offers the easiest means to manufacture large numbers of fraudulent votes. Electronic, non-paper, voting machines are right in the mix now that butterfly ballots are no longer used.

Health Care For Illegals - Part and Parcel of Obama and McCain Amnesty Dreams

Remember back to the big panderfests of the 2006-2007 legislative years when our elected representatives were clawing and scratching to see who could grovel the lowest before the illegals. Senate Bill 2611 was one of the results. We have the list of all those who voted for it. Obama and McCain are on the list. Both voted to give social security to illegals. The votes are part of public record. Obama and McCain are on record voting to give fake background checks to illegals, then allowing them to stay with benefits without having to wait for citizenship.

On this topic when you point a finger at one candidate, you must include the other.

Meanwhile, if you examine positions taken by McCain, he is more closely in the mold of Teddy's cousin Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He envisions himself holding a big stick, riding roughshod over the corpses of conservatives while retooling the Republican brand in his own image, a wobbly moderate large government politician. McCain dreams of shifting the conservative paradigm to straddle the line allowing Democrats to also claim membership. This will be his marriage proposal gift to Joe Lieberman to entice him to accept the vice presidency.

"Little Johnny" McCain surrounds himself with New Deal liberals and moderates and is reforming the Grand Old party into the New Deal Republican Neo-Democrats.

McCain and Obama shared dreams = amnesty and other liberal issues

McCain has decided to forego support of conservatives as we would polute the purity of his Republican Neo-Democrats, the support coalition that has fueled his campaign to be the figurehead of the ex-GOP, now RND.

On the other hand, The DNC has issued a call to their party weedroots faithfull to help write the party platform. There are some 600 or so platform committees across the country. Does anyone seriously believe that the Socialist Democrats will actually listen to Joe Sixpack about what he wants? Rush Limbaugh has just issued new orders for Operation Chaos operatives to join the fun.

This truly is a strange campaign year. McCain has done all in his power to push away conservatives including the religious right. Obama, supporter of homosexuality and abortion, is trying to convince Christians that he is also a Christian and wants them to vote for him. Unfortunately there are a sizable number of Christians that are politically ignorant sheeples who do not look past the surface appearance. They will vote for Obama because Rev. Pfleger, the pro-abortion Catholic priest of the Chicago diocese's Saint Sabina RCC, and other liberal pseudo-Christian reverends says to vote this way. The Cardinal of Chicago turns a blind eye to most of this activity in his backyard.

Amnesty for criminal border jumpers, drug dealers and mules, and terrorist OTMs is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip with Senator Kennedy. McCain and Obama passed the terrorist bill of rights with affirmative votes from Senators Clinton and Lieberman (and a majority of Socialist Democrat senators), which would fit in with a general amnesty for all illegals, if enacted. McCain and Obama voted to give away social security (which is already going broke) to illegals. McCain is travelling the same road with Kennedy, Feingold, and other Socialist Democrats. McCain is the secret weapon of the socialist Democrats in this election. McCain holds hands with Algore in his quest for global dominion, forcing everyone to start riding bicycles so the elites can have all the fuel for their jets. Obama is a YES MAN for this issue. If elected, McCain will take over the global warming issue as his own. Fortunately, McCain is so old that he cant ride that horse for many years without a pact with the devil.

Senator Obama is right in there trying to show how socialist he is, voting for everything pushed his way by the Socialist Democrat party. He wants to remind everyone of his street agitator/organizer roots in Chicago. In the Illinois legislature, he was preparing for higher office, voting "present" over 70% of the time rather than leave a back trail to look at. Senator Obama is 100% pro-abortion and is lauded for this by the National Abortion Rights Action League.

That is, for what change is left in your pockets...

Will we reward either Obama or McCain? Apparently the answer is YES.

This election year, we have seen it solidify into a choice of Ultra-Left Winger Obama against Soft Left Winger McCain, both with funding coming from George Soros through various 527 channels. The DNC is now wholely owned and operated by the socialists and the takeover of the GOP is nearly complete. A Shared GOP and DNC Boiler Plate Issue

Over the past two years (2006-2007) we have seen a variety of supposedly rock solid Republicans come out of the closet on the issue of softening the immigration laws, giving some form of amnesty to illegal alien border jumpers and those who have overstayed visas that expired. They want unrestricted immigration in the form of multi-millions of easily gained green cards which will morph over time into permanent residency papers, followed by easy fast track citizenship to get them into the voting booth.

It turns out that approximately half the Republicans in the US Senate and virtually ALL the Democrat senators are belly crawling amnesty panderers.

We have been recruiting the best and brightest legal immigrants but what the politicians want is the lowest, uneducated, disease carrying peons that Mexico is more than willing to ship to us, their welfare class.

This year, our choice (Republican or Democrat) is a LOSE-LOSE proposition, The Lesser of Two Equal Evils.

The choice is between a pair of "Boll Weevils". [This is a little play on words. There is a band called The Presidents of the United States that did a song "Boll Weevil"]

When the choice is so equally bad that we have to compare down the laundry lists, what can we do?

[b]Toss the McCain- Obama lose-lose coin and hope it lands on its edge,
[c]write-in a candidate or
[d]check out the available third parties.

Items a and b are unacceptable, so check out your options c and d.

This year, Bob Barr, ex-congressman from Georgia, changed from the Republican Party and is running as the Libertarian candidate for president.

I will not tell you what he stands for. You go take a look for yourself and decide whether you want to choose a real American patriot or between the lesser of two weevils.

NAFTA - A point of contention between McCain and Obama

Looking back...

I seem to recall that a certain Bush (41) was proposing NAFTA, Ross Perot was vocally in opposition using all manner of charts and the phrase "A Giant Sucking Sound". Bush (41) was up for re-election to a second term, but broke a promise "Read My Lips, NO NEW TAXES!" which sunk him. Bush (41) was a "go along to get along" wobbly moderate who rode into the White House for his first term on the coat tails and good will of Ronald Reagan and supporters.

Bush (41) went down in massive flames to Clinton (42) who was also a NAFTA supporter, to the chagrin of the yellow dog unionists that supported Clinton. It really illustrated how a yellow dog Democrat could detest a policy of their Democrat president and still suck down and support everything regardless.

After NAFTA went into effect, plants started closing here, relocating to Mexico... a good thing for the US economy we were told. Clinton (42) got very buddy-buddy with the Chinese, selling them MIRV warhead technology for campaign money as his reelection was coming up. China became a favored trading partner and the sucking sound amplified as more plants closed (a good thing, right?) in the US heading for China. The companies that had relocated to Mexico, discovered that the Chinese workers would work for less than a Mexican, so Mexico heard that sucking sound too. Clinton was followed by Bush (43), an unabashed NAFTA supporter as an employment tool in the US for his beloved illegal aliens.

We have been told that NAFTA created MILLIONS and MILLIONS of jobs here in the US. Where? Plants closed in Michigan and to find work, people left Michigan for other states.

We have been in a steady decline for a decade and are presently in a one state depression with the highest unemployment rate in the USA.

McCain has the gall to go to Canada and praise NAFTA but when he comes to Michigan, it is for closed fund raisers and closed "town hall" meetings where workers can not question him. It is part of his "country club" persona that will keep the conservative Reagan Democrat workers from voting for him.

The Republican presidential nominee-in-waiting added that if he wins the White House, "have no doubt that America will honor its international commitments - and we will expect the same of others."

McCain did not mention Obama by name as he spoke before the Economic Club of Canada, a business organization whose membership cheered his remarks.

Obama, on the campaign trail in Florida, shot back: "What's interesting to me is that he chose to talk about trade in Canada instead of in Ohio or Michigan. ... I think Senator McCain should have shared some of his views there to American voters."

"Since NAFTA was concluded, it has contributed to strong job growth and flourishing trade. Since the agreement was signed, the United States has added 25 million jobs and Canada more than 4 million," McCain said. (Yeah at least 12 million of your illegal alien constituents agree with you John. NAFTA was not a good deal back home in the slave labor maquilladoras so they came here to take jobs that US citizens wont do for slave wages.)

In an unmistakable reference to Obama, he added, "Demanding unilateral changes and threatening to abrogate an agreement that has increased trade and prosperity is nothing more than retreating behind protectionist walls." (No prosperity in Michigan you pompous ass!)

Aides said in advance McCain would come to Canada to highlight trade, and there has been widespread speculation that he will soon travel to Mexico...

(What will he do there? Promise more jobs after an amnesty is passed?)

John McCain is showing us where he is politically in the Republican Neo-Democrats (the new creation out of the ashes of the Grand Old Party by McCain and his McCain Democrats and independents). The RND was formed when McCain carefully excluded conservatives from the party, except for those who crawled to him on his terms. The show at CPAC2008 was where he told conservatives to come to him with no preconditions. On to the story: First, McCain and his bank scandal connection (Keating Five)...

McCain received campaign contributions, transportation on private jets, and vacation trips from Charles Keating Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, to look the other way and even lobby the Federal Home Loan Bank Board to look away. The bailout cost taxpayers over a billion dollars. McCain received a mild slap on the wrist for his participation along with four Democrats in this debacle. He also has historical recognition as a member of the "Keating Five" (other participants - Cranston, DeConcini, Glenn, and Riegle). All served out their terms with Glenn and McCain being re-elected. The "fix" was in.

Second: Democrat Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee (seeking to bail out Country Wide Financial for lucrative preferential loans he received from Countrywide)...

Senator Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, knew he was in a "V.I.P. program" at Countrywide Financial, but he denies that this meant he was getting special treatment from Countrywide Financial. That's like being a member of the United States Senate and thinking you get treated just like everybody else.

Senator Dodd is now trying to bailout Countrywide Financial with billions of taxpayer dollars. How many billions is Dodd seeking for his buddies at Countrywide?

Summation: It is amazing how the US Senate attracts the creme de la creme of the crooks and fixers for crooks (or is it the scum de la scum?)...

Lieberman joins McCain against Obama

McCain has been a long known maverick that runs free rather than toe the party line[1], not due to party policy but John's wild, carousing, maverick tendencies. This caused his divorce from Carol and marriage to his current moneybag. John has always embraced some Democrat ideals. This is why he sits so close to the center of the aisle, to be able to embrace his compadres of the left.

Joe Lieberman on the other hand is, was, and will always be a Democrat even though he is currently operating under the Independent flag. Since the DNC tossed him under the bus in the last election to try to replace him with a more amenable, compliant yellow dog faithful follower. Joe couldn't run as a Democrat because the party had assigned that label elsewhere so he was re-elected as an independent. Joe is OLD SCHOOL Democrat which the current DNC has lost. Senator Lieberman is happy to join with McCain in hopes of converting the Republican Neo-Democrat Party into Old School Democrats, the party of Thomas Jefferson. The Socialist Democrats try to lay claim to him by heritage, but Jefferson was no socialist and would not recognize his party today.

The four-term Connecticut senator, who came tantalizingly close to being Al Gore's vice president in 2000, not only has been campaigning for his pal, presumed Republican nominee John McCain, now he's publicly criticizing the Democrats' standard-bearer, Barack Obama. Lieberman has strayed before, most notably switching from Democrat to independent in 2006 to hold onto his Senate seat after a Democratic primary loss. [...because the Dems gave him the heave-ho under the moving wheels of the party bus. Lienberman-1, DNC-0 Joe won the election as an Independent.]

But the latest betrayal has upset Democrats, who often answer in clipped but polite tones when asked about Lieberman. The reason: The independent still caucuses with the Democrats on most issues except the Iraq war, and he holds their slim political majority in his hands. [In the DNC, betrayal can only be allowed to run one diirection, toward candidates and party members, never directed back toward the DNC as a whoile. Please do not try to parallel the Lieberman/DNC and McCain/Conservatives. The GOP has always had its coalition of squiishy moderate pro-abortion, anti-religion moderates. They have taken over party leadership positions and are using it to solidify their holds by recruiting unaligned moderate independents and disaffected Democrats shifting the GOP to the left to be more closely in line with many Democrat positions, making them into the Republican Neo-Democrat Party, the RND replacing the GOP.

[1] "toe the line" - A phrase used in old time bare knuckle prize fighting. The two bare knuckled fighters would stand facing and punching each other across a line drawn in the dirt, each with the toes of one foot on the line.

"toe the party line" - To literally adhere to party rules and politics, something that McCain has never done except when it suited him. The party center shifted to the right under Reagan. McCain is pulling mightily to move it back to the left, where his comfort zone is. If McCain succeeds, conservatives will be left homeless.

[2] What the DNC did to Lieberman has no parallel in the Republican Party with John McCain. John has always gone his own way and when he returns to the party, he is welcomed with open arms and rewarded.

The GOP is becoming the Neo-Democrat Party

...and is moving away from the party of Abraham Lincoln with the McCain-Lieberman marriage and takeover of the Republican party. The GOP is dead.

The Democrat party has become the Socialist Democrat Party. Old style Democrats have been looking for a new home. With John McCain, they have found a new home and leader in an as yet unannounced Neo-Democrat party along with the faux-conservatives.

Lets put it on the table. John McCain wants Joe Lieberman as his VP choice. He also is looking for a way to keep the borderline conservatives (those with a resemblance religious convictions but willing to compromise on those and other conservative principles) that have come crawling to him. Having a pro-abortion moderate old-style Democrat on the ticket might be the tipping point to send them running away for a few of his borderline conservative converts, but the faux-conservatives will not be swayed and will keep their adoring eyes on McCain.

[Faux-conservatives - Those weak principled believers in a few conservatives ideals that are willing to compromise all to support McCain after pulling John's finger out of their eyes. McCain pokes 'em in the eye and they say "That's OK, we will support you regardless! You claim to be a conservative, close enough for us. We are desperate!" ]

The two senators have grown close in this election year. They are joined at the hip on foreign policy, staking their political futures on support for the war in Iraq. They also share a reputation as mavericks.

For his part, McCain, 71, has built his campaign around his appeal to [McCain Democrats] independent voters. "You can't win with Republican votes alone,'' said Mark Salter, a senior campaign adviser.

While picking Lieberman as his running mate would allow McCain to reaffirm his identity as a trans-partisan politician, it also would burn the social conservatives who have propelled every Republican victory since 1980 and who may bolt the party.

"If he picks a pro-choice candidate, it will suppress the base,'' said Richard Land, a leader of the 16-million-member (pro-amnesty) Southern Baptist Convention, based in Nashville.

The McCain campaign has tried to use Lieberman as an emissary to Democrats.

The phones at McCain's campaign headquarters "have been ringing with disaffected Democrats,'' Lieberman wrote in an e- mail earlier this month on behalf of a new group, Citizens for McCain. [aka Democrats for McCain]

Another Slap From McCain

In today's snail mail, I received a campaign mass mailer with the word URGENT in the lower left corner.

Inside, the letter says: We have some catch-up to do - and we have to do it now.

"Oh boy", I thought, "is McCain actually going to try to move to the right to meet conservatives?" WRONG All he wants is our money. We can go stand outside. He comes with his hand out, not seeking our friendship, but instead demanding money.

He enclosed two EMERGENCY PLEDGE envelopes, for a 2-MONTH EMERGENCY CAMPAIGN PLEDGE. I am returning them with a "Bush Peso" in each.

Returning to the letter: It's been clear from the beginning that we face enormous odds.

These problems are of your own doing, John. Your error has been to embrace the liberals and give conservatives the finger.

Nothing has changed. You are getting some people who claim to be conservative. These are willing to compromise principle or worse to be seen with you. These are not principled conservatives but are political opportunists. There are always enough oif them to go around.

Are we supposed to love you for your maverick ways of running to the Democrats every time you want a liberal cause to support?

John, maybe your rich "McCain Democrats" or the equally rich and liberal "Rockefeller Republicans" will fund your 10.6 million emergency request.

Until you show something resembling conservatism, I am looking elsewhere!

How many months before McCain discovers that the McCain Democrats he thought he had are really Obama Democrats?

His surrogates at the RNC are starting to realize that conservatives are not flocking to McCain. When does panic set in?

When are our legislators going to allow drilling in ANWR and other locations put off limits by the tree huggers and caribou humpers?

Obama will listen to the tree huggers/caribou humpers, and it appears that McCain is an Algore global warming deacon so he is in the same camp.

Does oil have to hit $200 before the lynching parties start looking for legislators to hang for inaction on domestic drilling, nuclear power plants, etc.?

This years election amounts to a choice of two evils (Moe vs Curley) forcing people to start comparing down the ticket to decide which to vote for.

God help us if they have to get down to state races to decide.

Daschle: McCain almost jumped ship
