===

Of the GOP candidates, only Duncan Hunter is acceptable on all counts. Ron Paul and Fred Thompson are next in line by these ratings. The Huckster-Huckabee is a real snake in the grass. He's using religion to rope in gullible Christian Conservatives. Election year promises will mean as little to him as they do to a Clinton or George H.W. Bush ("Read My Lips..."). Mitt Romney rates better than the Huckster. If it came down to a vote for the Huckster or the Harpy (Hillary), I think I would look at a third party vote. Either way, Huckster or Harpy, illegals will get legalized. The Huckster would do it as his "christian" duty. The Harpy would do it for the votes.

The ratings of the socialist Dems should be no surprize at all. Elect a socialist Democrat and get illegal aliens as the new citizens, voters, and a new entitlement class.

My Choice...

Only Duncan Hunter has talked the talk and walked the walk of a true conservative candidate for president.

The Vote against border security - The fence defunded

...that Duncan Hunter fought so hard to get passed last year. Remember this in the coming election!

Last night December 17, 2007, at 10:28 PM the Democrat majority controlled US House of Representatives gutted the Secure Fence Act, that mandated double-layered fencing and related infrastructure at strategic entry points along the Southwest border. This act of treachery was contained in H.R. 2764.

H.R. 2764, a bill that provides funding for several federal departments and agencies, was brought to the House floor and passed late last evening by the Democratic leadership. Not only does the bill contain provisions removing all specific locations as outlined by the Secure Fence Act, it also removes all requirements to construct any fencing or physical barriers along the border. This action basically repeals the Secure Fence Act and undermines past efforts to secure our nation's border.

http://thomas. loc.gov/ cgi-bin/ bdquery/z?d110: H.R.2764: roll call 1172

http://www. govtrack.us/ congress/ vote.xpd? vote=h2007- 1172&sort=vote

H.R.2764 roll call vote 1172

Title: Making appropriations for the Department of State, foreign operations, and related programs for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2008, and for other purposes.

Sponsor: Rep Lowey, Nita M. [NY-18] (introduced 6/18/2007) Cosponsors (None)

It passed 206 to 201 with 25 not voting/not present.

These Republicans (In Name Only) joined 201 democrats to kill the border fence in a late night piece of treachery: Tim Johnson [IL-15], Ray Lahood [IL-18], Rick Renzi [AZ-1], Chris Shays [CT-4], Chris Smith [NJ-4]

It should be noted that 18 democrats voted against it, including Dennis Kucinich, Charley Rangel, and Maxine Waters!!!! Of the 25 not voting, 13 Dems and 12 Reps.

Ron Paul and Duncan Hunter were among the NOT VOTING group because they were away for the presidential campaign.

Follow the Govtrack.us (or the roll call 1172 link) link to see the full vote results. I prefer the Govtrack link because it can be sorted many ways.

An interesting video: Mitt Romney the chameleon

Actually he is somewhat like the cheshire cat.

I found this video on Youtube.com.

url: http://youtube.com/watch?v=b3etUOq7hVE

Here in Michigan we have some coalitions that are hell bent on getting a chameleon nominated. There are many amnesty shadow warriors here that have the stilettos ready to knife us in the back once they get their candidate installed and amnesty ready to pass. There are candidates making the rounds who have made such dramatic shifts in position that we can never be sure of the real position they are holding. Here is a video about Mitt Romney that mentions some other candidates too.

We need Duncan Hunter as our next president!
