Algore Alert, Algore Alert - Environmental Disaster in Chile

There is a volcano erupting in Chile and it is spewing millions of tons of green house gasses and other polutants into the atmosphere.

Somehow, Algore will blame this on global warming and the USA. I wonder how much of a carbon footprint that volcano has?

I wonder if Algore will link this with the disister in Myanmar/Burma?

He has not weighed in yet on a linkage between earthquakes (like in China) and global warming either.

I wonder if Algore will have anything to say about how we are in a COOLING cycle right now?

How about a linkage between disasters and the flight paths of Algore's polution spewing jet? All those tornados in the south lately could be caused by Algore!

Arizona Republicans Detest McCain

cross posted from The Michigan Conservative Dossier

http://bconservatives.blogspot.com/ 2008/02/arizona- republicans-hate- mccain.html

Arizona Republicans Hate McCain

From the Washington Post :

The [Republican Party] is controlled at the district level by activists who detest McCain for his sponsorship, with Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), of a comprehensive immigration bill that among other things would have provided illegal immigrants with a pathway to citizenship. They think McCain is a traitor to conservative causes and an advocate for amnesty for illegal immigrants.

"We do not consider him a conservative at all," says Rob Haney, a Republican Party chairman in McCain's home district. The candidate's bus, the Straight Talk Express, should be renamed, Haney says: "We call it the Forked Tongue Express around here. He'll lie about anything."

Haney, probably the most vociferous of McCain's critics, patrolled the hallway [of a GOP event] wearing a little button on his lapel that read "McCain 2008" and had a slash through it... And he says he sees little difference between McCain and Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton on the immigration issue. "He's for open borders. He's for amnesty. Hillary's for amnesty."

Said John Acer, a lawyer who, like Haney, showed up last weekend at a meeting of the Republican state committee in Glendale: "He's despicable. Dishonest. Duplicitous." And so it goes, on and on, all these Republicans who wince at the mention of McCain's name, and who can think of few things worse than having the state's senior Republican senator ascend to the White House.

Rusty Childress, founder of United for a Sovereign America, said he hopes a television personality will come to the rescue: "Our hope would be that you'd get Lou Dobbs jumping in at the last minute."

Barb Heller said she fears what amounts to an annexation of parts of Arizona by the Mexican government: "The president of Mexico is saying that wherever there is a Mexican, that's Mexico."

The panderers are beginning to rally

Today in email, I received this message from Senator "RINO Pander3" Sam Brownback. He inherited the number 3 spot when Frist decided not to run again. RINO Pander1 is owned by El Presidente Bush. Number 2 is Senator McCain. This email is sent from the McCain campaign. Paragraphs of the letter have been numbered for easier reference.

===

  1. This morning, I flew to Iowa to join and endorse my friend, John McCain, for President of the United States. John McCain is a true American hero and I'm proud to stand with him today. He is the only candidate who can rally the Reagan coalition of conservatives, Independents, and conservative Democrats needed to defeat Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat in the general election next yea
  2. .While I respect all of the Republicans running for president this year, John McCain is the only choice to lead our country in the global fight against Islamic fundamentalism. He has the experience, the knowledge, and the courage for this fight. He alone among the candidates for President recognized years ago that our strategy in Iraq was failing and had the guts to call for change. We need that leadership in the White House.
  3. John McCain also represents the values that are the core of our Republican party. He has spent a lifetime standing up for human rights around the world, including a consistent 24 year pro-life record of protecting the rights of the unborn. We do not have to abandon our principles of life, faith and family to defeat the Democrats next fall; we can stand with John McCain.
  4. With momentum growing, we need to rally around John McCain today. Please take the time to contribute to his campaign. With less than 60 days before voting begins, it is important that John have the resources to get his message out in the early primary states. I am standing strong with John and ask that you join me.

Sincerely,

Senator Sam Brownback

===

(1) McCain may be able to rally Dems because he has been so close to them over the years. He may be able to rally independents because they are wishy-washy and indecisive. John McCain is wishy-washy. The match is so close that they feel a kindred attraction. Conservatives recognize McCain for what he is and can not support his attacks on the first and second amendments.

(2) McCain has been the loose cannon of Washington. Why should conservatives promote him to the highest office in the USA as a reward for being a traitor as a US Senator? This has nothing to do with his honorable service many years ago in Vietnam. Since that time, he has repeatedly sought to be a good little aisle straddler as a congressman and senator. He has repeatedly attempted to throw open our borders and give amnesty to criminal law breaking border jumpers. Brownback is of like mind and thus his endorsement. He shares a fervor for promoting illegal aliens beyond citizens.

3) McCain is a maverick and has been going his own way against the wishes of the citizens who elected him. This is NOT the core of the party.

4) The only momentum growing is the number of people who recognize that John McCain is not the candidate we need. He has repeatedly displayed disdain for the wishes of citizens and is only concerned with promoting illegals over us. Brownback, as a senior member of the marxist christian heresy, has actively sought to dissolve our sovereignty and borders. Brownback is the first candidate to recognize that we will not give our support to him. McCain refuses to acknowledge that conservatives recognize what he has attempted to do to us. At least the millions he is spending on his campaign are going to US citizens. Brownback and McCain are two of the 23 Senate RINOs that joined the Democrats in a display of unity to give total amnesty to illegals in 2006 (Senate Bill 2611). Fortunately, even though they prevailed in the Senate, cheered on by El Presidente Bush, the US House of Representatives repelled the traitors.

Algore's exhalations cause global warming

Cure global warming with bovine Beano

by Nolan Finley - Detroit News

E verybody toots. And every time we do, it's another nail in the Earth's coffin.

Al Gore is urging all of us to do the little things to fight global warming. (I'm certain Gore is screwing in low-energy light bulbs at his Nashville mansion to trim his $1,000 a month electric bill, though I can't say how many former vice presidents it takes to do that job).

His example has moved me. My contribution -- no more cabbage, refried beans or other tooty foods.

Because methane, often a byproduct of flatulence, is one of the most damaging greenhouse gases.

Most of that methane comes out of cattle, although one-third of humans generate the toxic gas when they rip one. (That's according to the shocking number of Web sites devoted to the subject.)

Farty cows poot more damaging emissions than the entire transportation segment, including automobiles. Each time a cow cuts the cheese, the resulting gas warms the Earth 23 times faster than the carbon dioxide emitted by cars and trucks.

Cattle are responsible for 18 percent of greenhouse gases, according to a United Nations' report issued last fall.

And yet the automakers, and not the agricultural industry, are on the congressional carpet, where they face radically higher fuel economy standards.

The mandates could cost more than $100 billion to implement, put one or more of the Big Three over the edge and take the national economy into the toilet.

My contribution to global warming: Fartmatic
For those who are having a momentary trouble generating enough greenhouse gas...

Email from Sen. Karl Levin

An email from Karl levin, via the DSCC giving spin as to why they want to micromanage Iraq and command the troops instead of the Commander-in-Chief.

Dear JAMES,

George Bush's strategy in Iraq has failed. It is long past time to change it, and with the Democrats' takeover of the Senate last November the momentum is building to do just that.

That's why a number of us are drafting binding legislation which would modify the broad authority Congress gave the president four years ago to execute the war in Iraq. Our proposal is based on the recommendations of the Iraq Study Group and would change our mission from one of combat to a limited one that supports the efforts of the Iraqis to govern and secure themselves. Our proposal would keep us out of an Iraqi civil war, and limit our mission to training and logistics support of the Iraqi military, to counterterrorism, and to helping the Iraqis secure their international borders. We would set a goal of March of 2008 for the removal of all our combat troops.

Our resolution wouldn't cut funding for the troops in Iraq. We will continue to give our men and women serving in Iraq everything they need to protect themselves and carry out their missions. Our differences lie with the policies of George Bush in his role as commander-in-chief.

Here is the naked power grab. Senate democrats want to hold the controls to the military or at least be the puppet masters. The resolution is the "Slow Bleed" and would not equip troops being sent in new or as replacements.

Our proposal would keep us out of an Iraqi civil war [which the Democrat Party and its MSM propaganda organs have promoted and cheered on].

We would set a goal of March of 2008 for the removal of all our combat troops [giving our terrorist allies the chance to properly re-arm and resupply in readiness for our pullout. Then just like the fall of Saigon, as US troops pull out the Islamofascist allies of the Democrats can take over.]

Four years of George Bush's failed strategy have led us to the brink of chaos. [40 years of failed Democrat social and fiscal policy have left the USA teetering on the brink of chaos.]

The Senate Democrats can achieve real results in Iraq. [Remember that power grab I told you about up above?]

Sincerely,

Sen. Carl Levin

Global Warming? An Inconvenient Truth?

It is more of Algore's hot air and bull$#!+ than actual global warming. If there is such a thing, give me a good dose of global warming right now. We have had temps at or near zero degrees for more than a week now. Algore's "An Inconvenient Truth" is more of a very convenient socialist BIG LIE.

Here are some scientists that agree that Algore is full of bull...

Thanks to the Canada Free Press, the independent thinkers in the scientific community have a place to offer their version of the “truth” about global warming and other related topics. Be sure to check it out.

Here are some comments from Canada Free Press about the “science” of An Inconvenient Truth made by scientists and experts that seem to debunk some of Gore’s statements.

Dr. Chris de Freitas, climate scientist, associate professor, University of Auckland, New Zealand: ”I can assure Mr. Gore that no one from the South Pacific islands have fled to New Zealand because of rising seas. In fact, if Gore consults the data, he will see it shows sea level falling in some parts of the Pacific.”

Dr. Nils-Axel Mörner, emeritus professor of paleogeophysics & geodynamics, Stockholm University, Sweden: “We find no alarming sea level rise going on, in the Maldives, Tovalu, Venice, the Persian Gulf and even satellite altimetry if applied properly.”

Dr. Paul Reiter, Professor - Institut Pasteur, Unit of Insects and Infectious Diseases, Paris, France, comments on Gore’s belief that Nairobi and Harare were founded just above the mosquito line to avoid malaria and how the mosquitoes are now moving to higher altitudes: “Gore is completely wrong here - malaria has been documented at an altitude 2500 m - Nairobi and Harare are at altitudes of about 1500 m. The new altitudes of malaria are lower than those recorded 100 years ago. None of the “30 so called new diseases” Gore references are attributable to global warming, none.”

Dr. Mitchell Taylor, Manager, Wildlife Research Section, Department of Environment, Igloolik, Nunavut, Canada: “Our information is that 7 of 13 populations of polar bears in the Canadian Arctic Archipelago (more than half the world’s estimated total) are either stable, or increasing …. Of the three that appear to be declining, only one has been shown to be affected by climate change. No one can say with certainty that climate change has not affected these other populations, but it is also true that we have no information to suggest that it has.”

Dr. Petr Chylek, adjunct professor, Dept. of Physics and Atmospheric Science, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada: “Mr. Gore suggests that Greenland melt area increased considerably between 1992 and 2005. But 1992 was exceptionally cold in Greenland and the melt area of ice sheet was exceptionally low due to the cooling caused by volcanic dust emitted from Mt. Pinatubo. If, instead of 1992, Gore had chosen for comparison the year 1991, one in which the melt area was 1% higher than in 2005, he would have to conclude that the ice sheet melt area is shrinking and that perhaps a new ice age is just around the corner.”

Dr. Gary D. Sharp, Center for Climate/Ocean Resources Study, Salinas, California: “The oceans are now heading into one of their periodic phases of cooling. … Modest changes in temperature are not about to wipe them [coral] out. Neither will increased carbon dioxide, which is a fundamental chemical building block that allows coral reefs to exist at all.”

Dr. R. M. Carter, professor, Marine Geophysical Laboratory, James Cook University, Townsville, Australia: “Both the Antarctic and Greenland ice caps are thickening. The temperature at the South Pole has declined by more than 1 degree C since 1950. And the area of sea-ice around the continent has increased over the last 20 years.”

Dr./Cdr. M. R. Morgan, FRMS, formerly advisor to the World Meteorological Organization, climatology research scientist at University of Exeter, U.K.: “From data published by the Canadian Ice Service there has been no precipitous drop off in the amount or thickness of the ice cap since 1970 when reliable over-all coverage became available for the Canadian Arctic.”

Rob Scagel, M.Sc., forest microclimate specialist, Pacific Phytometric Consultants, Surrey, British Colombia, Canada comments on Gore’s belief that the Mountain Pine Beetle (MPB) is an “invasive exotic species” that has become a plague due to fewer days of frost: “The MPB is a species native to this part of North America and is always present. The MPB epidemic started as comparatively small outbreaks and through forest management inaction got completely out of hand.”

Bush said....

"Five years ago, we rose above partisan differences to pass the No Child Left Behind Act...And because we acted, students are performing better in reading and math, and minority students are closing the achievement gap. Now the task is to build on this success.... The No Child Left Behind Act has worked for America's children -- and I ask Congress to reauthorize this good law."

What Bush really wanted to say...

"Five years ago, we rose above partisan difference to pass the No Illegal Alien Left Behind Act...And because we acted, we have millions more lining up at the border to cross..."

Bush has the power RIGHT now to stop illegal immigration but fails to act. If President Dwight David Eisenhower could do it with 1/10th the manpower then this SOB in the White House could also do it, but he lacks the will because his backbone is owned by powerfull special interests that want to keep a low wage labor force.

Impeach Bush!

He has failed since 9/11 to even attempt to secure our borders. Sending National Guard paper shufflers with retreat orders to be observers at the border is a worthless attempt to appease the citizens. Bush has turned a deaf ear to pleas from citizens to act and has failed his oath of office. The only avenue left is to remove him and see if Dick Cheney will act where El Presidente Jorge has refused.

Impeach Bush!

Democrat or democratic?

Today on the El rushbo show he mentioned how some talking heads were saying that referring to the Democrat Party instead of the democratic party was a slur... HAW HAW HAW! I have been promoting this for the past two years here in the blogosphere and in various forums and am only now starting to see it gaining traction. It is true you know. They are the least democratic of any institution I can think of outside a true communist country such as the old Soviet Union. When the Soviet Union dissolved there was a massive collective sob from the Socialist Democrats. Another example of communism in action had gone down and they could no longer point to it as what they want the US to become.

Lets state this clearly:

They are DEMOCRATS

not DEMOCRATICS!

El Presidente Jorge Boosh and his State of the Union

...and here is the analysis by Roy Beck from NumbersUSA.com

AMBIGUITY IN DETAILS SUGGESTS BUSH FEARFUL OF THE PUBLIC & HIS PARTY ON IMMIGRATION

Citizen Friends,
  • In red below are the words of what the President actually said in his very short section on immigration.

  • In blue are quotes from the official White House details of what it calls "President Bush's Plan For Comprehensive Immigration Reform."

  • And in black, are my comments to try to make some sense of it all.

2007 STATE OF UNION
COMMENTS ON IMMIGRATION

"Extending hope and opportunity in our country requires an immigration system worthy of America — with laws that are fair and borders that are secure.

Compared to flights of sentimentalist immigration rhetoric in the past six State of the Union addresses, this was pretty pedestrian stuff, although it appears the hope and opportunity in this country are meant for immigrants rather than for citizens.

Fair laws? Based on the rest of his comments, I'm guessing he is thinking about laws that are "fair" to people wanting to get into the country rather than laws that are fair to Americans. But I could be wrong; his language is ambiguous. But my best bet is that he is talking about fairness to businesses that want to hire foreign labor.

"When laws and borders are routinely violated, this harms the interests of our country. To secure our border, we are doubling the size of the Border Patrol — and funding new infrastructure and technology.

The White House website offers six ways that this Administration has boosted enforcement along the border.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that suggests what the goal for a secure border should look like. All measures are on means and not results.

"The Administration is working closely with state and local law enforcement to stop illegal immigration. ICE has the resources to train 1,500 state and local enforcement officers under the 287(g) program in 2006 and 2007. DHS will work with its state and local partners to expand these programs, and received $50 million in 2006 supplemental funding for this effort. In addition, DHS is expanding to state and local law enforcement agenies the Criminal Alien Program (CAP) previously in place with the Federal Bureau of Prisons to identify illegal aliens who are incarcerated in federal, state and local jails."

That's right, the White House used the term "illegal aliens."

I'm very pleased to see the emphasis on the 287(g) program. NumbersUSA is a big promoter of it. We believe it is a great way for local and state governments to help create a rapid Attrition Through Enforcement & Self-Deportation in their areas. This is something you can push your local government to do without so much problem from the ACLU and illegal-alien supporters taking you to court.

Read about this 287(g) program at our special page on ways to act locally: http://www.numbersusa.com/hottopic/ordinances.html

The link is also in the right column of the Home page.

"Yet even with all these steps, we cannot fully secure the border unless we take pressure off the border — and that requires a temporary worker program.

This has been his non-sequiter argument for seven years: Illegal aliens come to America to take jobs to which they aren't legally entitled. To Bush, the only way to keep them from coming illegally is to let them have the jobs legally!

Of course, underlying such illogic is the lack of any understanding -- or empathy -- for the 25 million less-educated Americans of working age who don't have a job. This callousness toward Americans without jobs comes through on the White House website:

"There are many people on the other side of the border who will do anything to come to America to work and build a better life. The rule of law cannot permit unlawful employment of millions of undocumented workers in the United States. Many American businesses, however, depend on hiring willing foreign workers for jobs Americans are not doing."

"We should establish a legal and orderly path for foreign workers to enter our country to work on a temporary basis. As a result, they won’t have to try to sneak in — and that will leave border agents free to chase down drug smugglers, and criminals, and terrorists.

To the President, illegal aliens have no choice -- they "have" to try to sneak in. Again, this Administration's attitude is that the tens of millions of working-age Americans without a job have no interest in working. Thus, we should not allow the market to raise wages and working conditions until they attract American workers. Rather, any job that happens to be open and isn't snatched up immediately by an American should go to a foreign worker, in the President's logic.

The most frustrating part of the President's statement, though, is the assumption that we don't already have a legal and orderly path for foreign workers to come temporarily. In fact, we have many of those programs already. Some are unlimited in size.

Mr. Bush and his fellow open-borders supporters always make it sound like our country is shut tight as a drum. In fact, we have major guest workers programs. The reason that some are not used more is because employers don't want to pay the wages required.

One good point is that the White House does continue to insist that new guest workers (not people here already illegally) would have to be truly temporary:

"The program must be truly temporary. Participation should be for a limited period of time, and the guest workers must return home after their authorized period of stay. Those who fail to return home in accordance with the law should become permanently ineligible for a green card and for citizenship."

"We will enforce our immigration laws at the worksite, and give employers the tools to verify the legal status of their workers — so there is no excuse left for violating the law.

This was a great part of the speech. And it is backed up with some exciting details on the White House website:

"In a sharp break from the past, the Administration is addressing the illegal employment of undocumented workers with a tough combination for criminal prosecution and forfeitures. Previously, worksite enforcement relied on a combination of administrative hearings and fines. The fines were so modest that some employers treated them as merely a cost of doing business, and employment of undocumented workers continued unabated."

!!!!!!!!

You may want to re-read that one, it is so fascinating. What I read between the lines is this, "The Bush Administration had almost no enforcement against outlaw businesses for six years, but now we're getting tough."

When you are making your seventh State of the Union address and you talk about a "break with the past," you are talking about a break with what YOU have been doing.

But this is a great new policy, with some public signs it really is being done, although I want to see a lot more of it before I believe it is more than just a show in anticipation of the State of the Union.

But there is even more tough talk under the heading "We Must Hold Employers Accountable For The Workers They Hire:"

"Comprehensive Immigrationi Reform Must Include The Creation Of A New Tamper-Proof Identification Card For Every Legal Foreign Worker So Businesses Can Verify The Legal Status Of Their Employees. A tamper-proof card would help us enforce the law and leave employers with no excuse for violating it.

"We will also work with Congress to expand Basic Pilot -- an electronic employment eligibility verification system -- and mandate that all employers use this system."

Halelujah! NumbersUSA has always contended that the No. 1 action to reduce illegal immigration would be mandatory workplace verification of all new hires and of the existing workforce.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has fought this for more than a decade but now is going along with it. The problem is that the Chamber and the Bush Administration insist that it would be wrong to have mandatory verification if not accompanied by a giant guestworker program and citizenship for illegal aliens.

I hate to keep carping on this point, but illogic is the logic of the Bush Administration and all its amnesty allies.

Nonetheless, with so many major corporation spokesmen like the Chamber and the President facilely acknowledging that mandatory verification is necessary, we have more openings for trying to start the verification separate from any giant "comprehensive" legislation. This passed the House of Representatives in December of 2005. But the Senate last spring insisted on linking to an amnesty and doubling of legal immigration.

"DHS Has Issued A Proposed 'No-Match' Regulation To Assist Employers In ensuring A Legal Workplace And To Help The Government Identify And Crack Down On Employers Who Knowingly Hire Illegal Workers. In cases in which an employer has ten or more employees with inaccurate information, the Social Security Administration (SSA) sends the employer a 'No-Match' letter. DHS's proposed 'No-Match' regulation clarifies that employers may be held civilly and criminally liable when a letter is sent and employers ignore the discrepancies between SSA databases and the information provided about their employees."

I cannot at this hour tell you whether the proposed regulation handles all the problem details, but it is definitely on the right track of dealing with a major problem. Aggressive tactics on No-Match letters would dry up large numbers of jobs and accelerate Attrition Through Enforcement & Self-Deportation.

"We need to uphold the great tradition of the melting pot that welcomes and assimilates new arrivals. We need to resolve the status of the illegal immigrants who are already in our country — without animosity and without amnesty.

Oh, my!

To our President, the tradition of the melting pot apparently means we have to take away the stigma of illegality from those foreigners who have violated our laws to be here!

But here is the place in the speech where the President and his speechwriters obviously got cold feet. What is the term "resolve." Notice that he didn't dare use the terms "earned legalization" or "regularize" or "legalize."

But "resolve?" He is not talking about "resolving" the illegal alien problem. No, he wants to "resolve" their "status."

Now, you and I might want to resolve whether the person is an illegal alien, and once doing that, begin deportation proceedings. But I don't think that is what the President wants to resolve.

Again, the fundamental problem with Pres. Bush and his advisors is that they believe the problem with illegal aliens is their "status." If they just weren't illegal, they would be wonderful to have, according to them.

To NumbersUSA, the primary problem with illegal aliens is not that they are illegal but that they are here -- all 12 million of them crowding our infrastructures, congesting our quality of life, helping drive the destruction of natural habitat, farmland and open spaces, and driving down wages and benefits in the occupations where they settle. They aren't primarily bad people. But they are 12 million people who aren't supposed to be here. We don't need them. Their presence harms Americans.

But the President wants to "resolve" their status -- which I am sure means that he wants them to remain in our communities forever.

How about a little more illogic from the White House?

"Illegal immigration causes serious problems, putting pressure on public schools and hospitals and straining state and local budgets. People who have worked hard, supported their families, avoided crime, led responsible lives and become a part of American life should be called in out of the shadows and under the rule of American law."

You see, illegal aliens create terrible pressures -- until their status is "resolved." Miraculously once they are legalized, they supposedly no longer crowd schools and hospitals and no longer drain tax-payer supported services.

Hmmm, how does that happen? Well, in fact, it doesn't happen. Research by the Center for Immigration Studies has found that not only do legalized illegal aliens continue to impose all the same costs as before they were "resolved," but they impose even more costs on the taxpayers because as legal residents they are eligible for quite a number of additional public services.

To the White House and its open-borders allies, illegal aliens in the sunlight impose no costs. What makes them expensive is when they are in the "shadows."

But wait!

Pres. Bush says we are to resolve their status without amnesty. Maybe I misjudged him.

Oh, maybe not. Here's a White House website clarification about what is meant by "amnesty:"

"The President Supports A Rational Middle Ground Between A Program Of Mass Deportations And A Program Of Automatic Amnesty.

"No amnesty. Workers who have entered the country illegally and workers who have overstayed their visas must pay a substantial penalty for their illegal conduct."

Mr. Bush would also take the get-tough approach of making illegal aliens learn English and hold a job.

Oh, sorry, I'm getting sarcastic.

As others have commented, using a car thief analogy: Under Mr. Bush's concept it would be "amnesty" if a cop stopped a car thief and then just let him go.

But it would NOT be amnesty, according to the Bush logic, if you stopped a car thief, made him pay a ticket of a couple hundred dollars and then let him keep the car.

In fact, under the Bush logic, one of the requirements for getting to keep the car would be that you have to keep driving it. After all, an illegal alien who breaks the law to get an American job would only get to stay here if he keeps the job (and pays a fine and learns English).

"Convictions run deep in this Capitol when it comes to immigration. Let us have a serious, civil, and conclusive debate — so that you can pass, and I can sign, comprehensive immigration reform into law."

Serious and civil, but by all means let us not have a LOGICAL debate!

It may have been George Bush's 2007 State of the Union address but the logic and rhetoric were straight out of George Orwell's 1984 world of doublespeak.

Think about it. One section of the President's "comprehensive" plan is all about removing the job magnet from illegal aliens. Another is about helping local law enforcement identify and move into deportation proceeding illegal aliens in their communities.

Without using the words, a large part of Mr. Bush's plan is about Attrition Through Enforcement -- actions that will cause many more illegal aliens to buy their own bus and plane tickets and go home, and actions that will lead to a lot fewer new illegal aliens to arrive.

But the White House in the end totally ignores that as a solution. Instead, it says the only choice is between mass deportation of 12 million illegal aliens at once or "resolving" their status to permanent residency and path to citizenship.

Apparently, all the enforcement measures have nothing to do with an actual solution. Apparently, the enforcement measures are meant to keep jobs out of the hands of new illegal aliens but will have no effect on the 12 million already here.

CITIZEN FRIENDS,

You are the only force that can possibly break the hold that this illogic has on the Washington political establishment.

The combined power of your collective efforts has stopped George Bush from getting his non-amnesty amnesty for six years now.

But for the first time, he has a Congress controlled by Democratic leaders whose desire for high immigration is even more radical and illogical than his.

It will take every effort we have to protect the country for yet another year.

The Union is in a state of illogical chaos on immigration.

-- ROY

2007, The First 100 Hours of the Democrat reign of terror...

After all the bullshit, bluster, and election year grandstanding, promises, and pronouncements from the Dems about how they would hit the ground running because they were so desperate to right the wrongs and ills visited upon them by Georgie The Compassionate Conservative, all we see so far from them is hot air and bullshit. Any astute observer will note that all the Dems had to run on was 12 years of anger over loss of political control of important committees. The partying must still be going on. Do they have to get past the hangovers before they start attacking constitutional rights once again? The first and second amendments are prime targets and John McCain (The Arizona RINO and lone Keating 5 survivor) will be right there to assist the Dems in their quest to dilute or remove these constitutional protections of citizen rights.

When the attacks begin, they will come on many fronts assisted by the Dem legal arm, the American Communist Liberty Union (aka ACLU) and the pet liberal judges of the 9th federal circus. Any legislation that fails in congress can be quickly enacted by judicial fiat, finalized by a swing of the gavel.
