Vets for Obama? Say it aint so...
I just received an email from an Obamessiah support group calling
themselves, "Vets for Obama".

How can this be?
John McCain is supposed to be the POW super-vet, loved by the veterans
organizations and active duty military.
It turns out that he voted against funding increases for the veterans
four years running and doesn't want to talk about it in any townhall
setting.
It's just his maverick side coming out to piss off another of his
constituencies that should be a gimme. 
John, it is getting down to just you and your illegal alien buddies, at
least those who have wangled a state drivers license and false voter
registration.
Is John McCain going to turn out to be the Republican Neo-Democrat
version of socialist Democrat John Kerry?
I can not support either of the two stooges (Moebamessiah and
CurleyCain) still standing.

note: I did a quick google search and found out that there is a Vets for
McCain too. We all know what socialist Democrats do to military funding,
rules and regs, personnell, etc. They bury morale. Today's socialist
Democrat Party is not your grandfather's Democratic Party, the party of
Thomas Jefferson.

McCain and Obama shared dreams = amnesty and other liberal issues
McCain has decided to forego support of conservatives as we would polute
the purity of his Republican Neo-Democrats, the support
coalition that has fueled his campaign to be the figurehead of the ex-GOP,
now RND.
On the other hand, The DNC has issued a call to their party weedroots
faithfull to help write the party platform. There are some 600 or so
platform committees across the country. Does anyone seriously believe
that the Socialist Democrats will actually listen to Joe Sixpack about
what he wants? Rush Limbaugh has just issued new orders for Operation
Chaos operatives to join the fun.
This truly is a strange campaign year. McCain has done all in his power
to push away conservatives including the religious right. Obama,
supporter of homosexuality and abortion, is trying to convince
Christians that he is also a Christian and wants them to vote for him.
Unfortunately there are a sizable number of Christians that are
politically ignorant sheeples who do not look past the surface
appearance. They will vote for Obama because Rev. Pfleger, the
pro-abortion Catholic priest of the Chicago diocese's Saint Sabina RCC,
and other liberal pseudo-Christian reverends says to vote this way. The
Cardinal of Chicago turns a blind eye to most of this activity in his
backyard.
Amnesty for criminal border jumpers, drug dealers and mules, and
terrorist OTMs is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to
achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip
with Senator Kennedy. McCain and Obama passed the terrorist bill of
rights with affirmative votes from Senators Clinton and Lieberman (and a
majority of Socialist Democrat senators), which would fit in with a
general amnesty for all illegals, if enacted. McCain and Obama voted to
give away social security (which is already going broke) to illegals.
McCain is travelling the same road with Kennedy, Feingold, and other
Socialist Democrats. McCain is the secret weapon of the socialist
Democrats in this election. McCain holds hands with Algore in his quest
for global dominion, forcing everyone to start riding bicycles so the
elites can have all the fuel for their jets. Obama is a YES MAN for this
issue. If elected, McCain will take over the global warming issue as his
own. Fortunately, McCain is so old that he cant ride that horse for many
years without a pact with the devil.
Senator Obama is right in there trying to show how socialist he is,
voting for everything pushed his way by the Socialist Democrat party. He
wants to remind everyone of his street agitator/organizer roots in
Chicago. In the Illinois legislature, he was preparing for higher
office, voting "present" over 70% of the time rather than leave a back
trail to look at. Senator Obama is 100% pro-abortion and is lauded for
this by the National Abortion Rights Action League.
That is, for what change is left in your pockets...
Will we reward either Obama or McCain? Apparently the answer is YES.

This is the McCain and Obama vision of America, cheered on by El
Presidente Jorge Bush. Both need a new underclass to dominate.
Citisenship for a CHEAP price, more than made up in benefits (food
stamps, free health care, lower in-state college tuition rates, free
public schools in language of choice, much more...) once criminal
illegals are given legal status.

The nation owes a debt of gratitude to all those who served in our
nations military service and died for the ungrateful wretches that are
in elected office in D.C.
Some proud of America, some not so proud...
...and that we have politicians in D.C. who are willing to flush this
away!
All three current stooge candidates for president are
willing to pander to criminals. All 3 have a 100% pro-amnesty voting
record.
Let us also remember and be vigilant... our people are not fighting and
dieing to have it all given away.
He wants your citizen rights... yours will go away in favor of his if
any of the stooges has a say!
Bush tried and failed but we have a congress full of panderers who will
continue to try. And there are three candidates still standing, all of
whom dearly want to give away your citizen rights to criminals.

Up front, as a Vietnam veteran, I will readily concede that I respect
John McCain for his service to his country, first as a naval aviator and
POW in Vietnam, then for his long years in our national Congress. I even
will admit to the fact that I somewhat admire McCain’s desire to effect
political reconciliation with the Democrat party. That being said, I
must also make it very clear that I do not support certain decisions
McCain has chosen on his pathways to political advancement.
Tonight, as it appears that the Senator may well be the Republican
“Comeback Kid,” I am reminded of an old Army joke about a platoon
sergeant faced with the prospect of breaking the terrible news to one of
his young privates, Jones, that the soldier’s mother has just passed
away. The sergeant calls his platoon into formation and barks out the
order, “All of you with living mothers take one step forward.” Then
after a momentary pause, he mutters, “Not so fast there, Jones.”
That’s my take as a veteran and a conservative Republican on this new
development: “Not so fast there, McCain.”

McCain supported John Kerry over those who knew Kerry best. John McCain
always seems to come down on the wrong side of any issue and for this
reason alone he should not be the Republican candidate. He display no
loyalty to those who he should support and instead runs toward the
socialsit MSM and his buddies on the left side of the aisle. Sorry
Johns, neither of you have the temperament for the office.

Musings on a McCain Candidacy - Campaign 2008
Some fellow POWs and fighter pilots have a thing or two to say about
John McCain. McCain is NOT the person we want to have in the White
House. I was about to say "representing us", but then John doesn't
really represent anyone but the illegal aliens. We are merely an
inconvenience on his way to the presidency.

McCain Musings On Memorial Day Weekend

When the “John
McCain for President, 2008” campaign shifts into high
gear, we’ll be hearing ad nauseum about the
candidate’s heroism, character and patriotism.
Too bad none of it is true. [NO HOTLINKING]
America could use a heroic
figure with a high moral code and a true love of country. But McCain
is far from that man.
When you do a simple analysis of McCain’s
personal and professional life and lay it out over thirty
years, his picture is ugly.
Think of my column as a review of McCain
low points that you will be hearing less about---at least from
the GOP—as the countdown to the 2008 presidential primaries begins.
Heroism
McCain is a sore point among other U.S.
POWs. Most resent the preferential medical treatment McCain
received after he was shot down in 1967 and revealed to the North
Vietnamese Army that his father, Admiral John McCain, Jr.,
commanded all U.S. forces in Europe and was soon-to-be commander
of all forces in the Pacific, including Vietnam.
From the moment the NVA knew who the injured
McCain’s father was, he became a “special patient.”
The NVA hoped to eventually squeeze valuable information out of
McCain.
And his fellow POWs remained angry with
McCain when, in 1992 as a member of the Senate Select Committee on
POW/MIA Affairs, he demanded a U.S. Justice Department
investigation into Vietnam
veteran activists and their organizations.
McCain called the organized POW’s:
“The most craven, most cynical and
most despicable human beings to ever run a scam.”
McCain got his wish. The DOJ investigated and
found no reason to charge the POW/MIA organizations with any
wrongdoing. [Sen.
McCain Wants To Be President By Ted Sampley, U.S.

Character
In 1980, McCain divorced his wife Carol, who
had been disfigured in an automobile accident while he imprisoned.
One month later, McCain remarried Cindy Lou Hensley, heiress to
Phoenix-based Hensley & Co., the nation's second-largest
Anheuser-Busch distributor.
His new trophy wife’s family money launched McCain
into politics.
Then, ten years after his ugly divorce, McCain
was fingered as one of the Keating Five—a group of five Senators
investigated on ethics charges. The five met with Federal Home
Loan Bank chairman Ed Grey allegedly to influence the FHLB to
delay seizing the assets of soon-to-be convicted racketeer Charles
Keating’s struggling (and eventually bankrupt) Lincoln Savings and
Loan.
Although McCain was never indicted, an
investigation revealed that his Congressional and Senate campaigns
had been financed in part by donations from Keating. Additionally,
McCain took a total of nine family trips paid for by Keating
including three to the banker’s villa in the Bahamas.
The federal bail out of Lincoln cost
taxpayers $2.6 billion.
Patriotism
Now McCain has become one of the authors of
the least
patriotic bill in American history, S.
2611, which the U.S. Senate voted on May 25th. [2006]
Unable to refrain from insulting
Americans worried about the devastating impact of S. 2611, McCain
immediately after the vote said:
“Why not say to those undocumented
workers who are working the jobs
that the rest of us refuse, 'come
out from the shadows.'”
Amazing—three lies in one sentence: “undocumented
workers,” “jobs that the rest of us refuse,”
and “come out of the shadows.”
And another McCain lie:
“In poll after poll after poll,
Americans support earned citizenship and a comprehensive solution”

Foreshadows 2008 GOP Contest, by Liz Sidoti,
Associated Press, May 25, 2006]
The truth, to which McCain is averse, is that
no polls indicate anything of the kind. Given a neutral choice
that avoids the words “amnesty” and “illegal
alien,” voters chose
the House approach, HR 4437, to S. 2611 by 2-1.

In all, McCain’s
record is dismal.
Given McCain’s
resume, it’s fair to ask whom he represents and where we can see
evidence of his principles at work.
McCain does not represent:

Americans who adhere to family values
-
Scrupulous businessmen, investors and
politicians who would never consider taking nine junkets funded
by a special interest donor.
I asked Henry Lenoir for insight into
McCain’s real self. Lenoir is the ex-fighter pilot who wrote
to VDARE.COM that McCain would be a “disaster” as
president.
Said Lenoir:
“McCain’s Hanoi experiences provide
effective cover for his political ambitions. People don’t see that
there isn’t much behind the image. People also assume, based on
his Vietnam
service and his party affiliation, that he is a red-blooded
American patriot. As for me, I wonder if he and President Bush
share a Mexican paymaster.”
McCain has consistently and knowingly done
the wrong thing to those closest to him…his family, his
constituents and his war buddies.
And he has knowingly and without fail acted
in the best interests of only one person…Senator John McCain.

Hundreds of thousands of holiday cards and letters thanking wounded
American troops for their sacrifice and wishing them well never reach
their destination. They are returned to sender or thrown away unopened.
Since the Sept. 11 attacks and the anthrax scare, the Pentagon and the
Postal Service have refused to deliver mail addressed simply to "Any
Wounded Soldier" for fear terrorists or opponents of the war might send
toxic substances or demoralizing messages.
Mail must be addressed to a specific member of the armed forces — a rule
that pains some well-meaning Americans this Christmas season.

Harry Reid's corrupt defense of phony soldiers
Where you find a socialist Democrat you also find corruption. You may
not recognize it at the time but they are corrupt. It is a part of their
makeup and is integral to what passes for a soul to them.The old party
of Thomas Jefferson heritage is dead.
We all know that the socialist democrats are the party of surrender

Rush Limbaugh Sparks Liberal Jihad

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has urged senators to sign a letter
calling on Rush Limbaugh’s syndicator to repudiate Rush for calling
troops who speak out against the Iraq war “phony soldiers.”
But Rush counterattacked by pointing out that Reid took that
comment drastically out of context.
In a statement prepared for delivery on the Senate floor Monday, Nevada
Democrat Reid also asked Mark P. Mays, CEO of Clear Channel
Communications, to ask Limbaugh to apologize for the remark.
Reid asserted that Limbaugh “crossed the line by calling our men and
women in uniform who oppose the war in Iraq ‘phony soldiers.’ This
comment was so beyond the pale of decency that it cannot be left alone…
“On Friday, many Democrats joined me in drafting a letter to the Chief
Executive Officer of Clear Channel.”
That letter read in part: “Our troops are righting and dying to bring to
others the freedoms that many take for granted. It is unconscionable
that Mr. Limbaugh would criticize them for exercising the fundamentally
American right to free speech…
“We call on you to publicly repudiate these comments … and ask Mr.
Limbaugh to apologize for his comments.”
The fact is, Limbaugh pointed out on the air that the “phony soldiers”
he referred to were just that – Americans who falsely claim
they have been in the Armed Forces and in some cases say they have been
to Iraq.
He was specifically referring to Jesse
Macbeth, who appeared in a widely seen YouTube video in which he
claimed he had been a corporal serving in Iraq and Afghanistan and was
awarded a Purple Heart. He also described how he and other U.S. soldiers
had killed innocent civilians there. [Follow the link to view the

His comments were translated into Arabic and spread widely across the
Internet.
But it was all a lie, Rush said. He had never served in Iraq or
Afghanistan. In fact, he had been discharged from the Army after several
weeks of basic training.
“I was talking about one soldier with that phony soldier comment, Jesse
Macbeth,” Rush told his listeners.
“He was sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation for
falsifying a Department of Veterans Affairs claim and his Army discharge
record.
“Jesse Macbeth was in the Army, folks, briefly. Forty-four days before
he washed out of boot camp. Jesse Macbeth isn’t an Army Ranger. Never
was. He isn’t a corporal, never was. He never won a Purple Heart, and he
was never in combat to witness the horrors he claimed to have seen.”
Rush’s Web site titled the transcript of one of the broadcasts in which
he responded to the liberal outcry over his comment “The Anatomy of a
Smear: ‘Phony Soldiers’ is a Phony Story.”

This Memorial Day, Let us remember...
The men and women in uniform who are fighting tyranny overseas. They
fight there to keep us safe here. Though we need some of them here to
directly defend our border from Mexican military supported armed drug
smuggler incursions from the south.
...and with the domestic dangers to our sovereignty and the futures of
our families from the internal traitorous activities of the AMNESTY AXIS
(Bush, Kennedy, McCain, Clinton, Hagel, Obama, all the rest of the
Democrat senate and a majority of the Republican senate, DNC, AFL-CIO,
MoveOn.org, George Soros, US Chamber of Commerce, AARP, La Raza.) It

legal resident, all benefits plus social security, whether or not
citizenship is sought. Best of all, ALL of your relatives (and friends
if they claim to be relatives) can come get on the gravy train. Next
time it will be 100 million illegals wanting to be legalized.

uncomfortable. I posted a call for people to wake up a while back,
actually several times, and it appears that the thought is self
resonating with other patriots around the country. I see the real
possibility of revolution if the "Mandarin" class isn't stopped in

A Guest Editorial: Rock 'Em
[FOREWORD: These speculations may make some uncomfortable.
Some may deem them irresponsible. That's understandable--we're good and
peaceable people, and the thought of actually resisting encroaching
tyranny is beyond the experience of most of us. We want to be able to
resolve things with words, with reason.
There will also no doubt
be those who say this crosses the boundaries of free speech and enters
into the realm of inciting crime--they may even deem such words
"domestic terrorism." My intent of posting this essay is to illustrate
what has been done historically by people we now revere as champions of
Liberty--and to illustrate what could happen again if those who just
keep pushing with the intent of destroying Freedom don't back off.
Against
that background, these speculations could be considered a modest
response. Having children, it is my desperate wish--and the reason I
have devoted much of my life to fighting the tyranny of gun
control--that reason will prevail. It's why I try to rally people to get
involved--so that we become so strong, that the potential for
confrontation and conflict diminishes into improbability.
Because
of this, I don't endorse Mike's conclusion--and that is possibly because
he is a more direct and courageous man than me. Nonetheless, I've never
insisted on people agreeing with me, and think it's critically important
that people understand such sentiments as expressed herein exist. The
cynic in me says my way--getting enough people involved and radicalized
to render our enemies impotent--is probably a fool's errand. The
idealist in me says I can't stop trying.
So perhaps my timidity
is helping to keep the frog in the pot. Or perhaps, enough time is being
bought so that when the frog finally jumps, he won't be alone.

to ring the death knell for the Founder's Republic. As soon as the 20

are brought north in "compassionate" reuniting grace, you can hang up
any thought of a return to the limited government and constitutional
rule of law of the Founders.
Are you concerned about gun
confiscation? Its a fact of life in Mexico. Big government intrusion on
private free enterprise? Can you say PEMEX? Worried about campaign
finance and political corruption? The Mexicans have a word for the
endemic bribery that characterizes their government: "mordida"-- the
bite, and they expect to be bitten by every official at every level. No
matter what issue concerns you, the undeniable tidal wave of a
deliberately imported third world culture is about to swamp it.
Let's
face it, the only reason we've been electorally competitive this long is
that the liberals have been murdering the children within their wombs
for the past 35 years. Well, they're going to be importing those wombs
now to finish the job.
These folks, God bless 'em, are used to
nationalized industries, gun control, soldiers walking the streets
dispensing their own rough "justice" with machineguns,
identity-grievance politics and, above all, the undefeatable evil
synergy of crooked politicians and drug lords controlling events. They
are used to being ruled by a godless oligarchy of the privileged rich
who know what's "best" for them. You know, they're Democrats.
You
may ask anyone familiar with Mexican history since 1912 what the rule of
law means south of the border. Or, for a modern example closer to home,
take a look at some of the seamier La Raza-dominated suburbs of LA.
These millions of newly minted citizens will toil upon the Democrat
latifundistas' political plantations as indentured servants for the next
fifty years and gradually, in the end, the American Republic will be as
dead as its Greek and Roman predecessors. If, that is, it doesn't
catastrophically collapse in the next decade or so in a welter of racial
warfare and Balkan "ethnic cleansing" that will make the former
Yugoslavia look like a kindergarten at play. The devil will walk abroad
in the land and our children's children's children will curse our folly.
What
then shall we do? Both political parties are equally complicit, ignoring
the law and their own sworn oaths to the Constitution, not to mention
the polls and the plain will of the majority of the American people who
wish them to secure the border, enforce immigration laws and jail the
employers of illegals. Like Bill Murray in
Ghostbusters , we can
only plaintively wonder: "Hey, I'm a voter. Aren't you supposed to kiss
my butt?"
You can laugh, but make it a bitter laughter. The
Amnesty Conspirators are willing to flout the received political wisdom
of the way things are supposed to work because they believe they can
change the entire equation of political power in this country without
consequence to themselves. They believe that we, the voters, will get
mad but that we won't get even. They believe that by the time we figure
out what happened, it will be too late.
The last whispered hope
of the anti-amnesty politicos is that the House will stop the Senate
bill. Now, given all that's happened in the past fifteen years, that is
a slender reed indeed to pin your children's future on. I have a better
idea. It's an old idea, but I believe that its time has come round again.
"If
breaking windows be the sport..."The breaking windows
that the English poet Cowper was celebrating were the windows of
American Tories, broken by the Sons of Liberty in the run-up to the
American Revolution. In Eighteenth Century America, windows were
expensive and difficult to replace. It was said you could tell an
American colonist's wealth by the size and number of the windows in his
house. As most of the high-ranking Tories loyal to the King were rich,
their windows became natural targets when the Sons of Liberty wanted to
send a message. If the head of the local militia was a Tory, he would be
persuaded to resign his commission by breaking his windows. If a Boston
merchant refused to join the boycott of British goods, he would have to
hire a glazier in the morning. Tax collectors and other crown
functionaries shuttered their houses, only have the shutters torn from
their hinges by a mob and then have their windows broken. Sounds harsh?
The rise of American independence was accompanied by the tune of
breaking glass, and we wouldn't be free today without it.
Of
course how free we are, and are going to be, is the question, isn't it?
Eight years ago I wrote a speculative piece of fiction called "The
Window War" about what might happen if gunowners, outraged by one too
many laws restricting their natural, God-given and traditional rights,
took the Sons of Liberty's methods to heart and hand.

story circulated to modest approval in the email circles of my fellow
gunnies and then dropped into the electronic wastebasket of history.
Dropped, that is, until the election crisis of 2000. On the 11th of
November of that disputatious year, a fellow named Jeff Head reposted
The Window War on the Free Republic website with the notation: "Not
advocating anything here. . .just wondering if Mike had thought about a
work of fiction called "'Window War II' as it applies to fraudulent
elections?" Free Republic was at that time (before its editorial
sanitizing in later years by the myrmidons of the Republican National
Committee) the premier forum by which conservative activists
communicated. Other "Freeper" posters agreed, saying things like "have
rocks will travel". The discussion percolated for a few days and then
died, until....
"We would not tolerate an illegal government."

Counties Plow on With Recount

Dozens
of supporters of Republican George W. Bush protested on Friday against
what they called Democrat efforts to "steal" the U.S. Presidential
election for Al Gore as Friday's Palm Beach and Broward counties
plowed on with reviewing disputed ballots. . .
Unknown
persons threw a brick through a window at the Democratic Party's
Broward County headquarters late on Thursday or early on Friday when
the office was closed, police said. Scrawled on the brick was the
message: : "We would not tolerate an illegal government." Plantation,
Florida, police were investigating the incident, in which no one was
injured.
Within 34 minutes this story was posted on Free Republic with the
screaming banner: "The Window War has Begun!" Whether because of the
intimidation of the brick or not, the Broward County Dems folded their
recount efforts shortly thereafter, and one by one, the rest of the
Florida Democratic Party county election officials involved in recounts
followed suit over the next several days. Eventually, the Supreme Court
settled the issue.
"We have been too law-abiding."You
know, I'd like to think that the fellow who threw that brick had read my
piece, but I have no idea. Even if he did, did the brick intimidate the
Broward County Dems? Who knows? But I do know this: liberals as a class
are cowards. The political/business/racial-identity cabal that makes up
the Amnesty Conspiracy are cowards as well. Heck, I know of no American
liberals who have been willing to personally suffer, let alone die, for
any of their misbegotten beliefs since the early 1960s. They get
government to do the heavy lifting for them. They genuflect at its altar
and cannot comprehend anyone else who doesn't. And one other thing:
they
never, ever think that their public actions and pronouncements will have
private consequences . And why should they? As I observed in the
afterward to "The Window War":
"For sixty years, the liberals have used our respect for the law
against us. Each time they moved the line of law to further their
agenda, breaking off a bit of the Constitution, we, as law-abiding
citizens have backed up grumbling but complying. And why should they
stop pushing us back from our God-given liberties? We've never pushed
back to stop them. We have been too law-abiding."
"I aim to misbehave."We are at a crossroads in
our history. No one can deny it. If this amnesty passes into law,
everything after it will be changed in ways that are surely as
preventable as they are foreseeable. The Mandarin class of our "betters"
has decided they no longer need to listen to us. How then shall we get
their attention? What will it take to change the disastrous future they
seek to write for us?
Maybe a Sons of Liberty brick through the
window of every Democrat and Republican county headquarters with "Jail
illegal employers!" written on one side and "No amnesty!" on the other
will work. As a tactic, it does have the advantage of having been
successfully employed in the past. Just ask Sam Adams. It is past time
to demonstrate to the arrogant political class who believe themselves to
be our rulers and not our servants that the Sons of Liberty still live.
It is time to get their attention. It is time, in the words the
fictional Captain Malcolm Reynolds of the Firefly class space freighter
Serenity, to "misbehave." Remember, "behaving" has gotten us to this
point. What have we got to lose? More importantly, what will we lose if
we don't?
For those of you who would hesitate at vandalism in
liberty's cause, perhaps you could deliver the brick to your particular
politician's office with the message and the implication. They listened
last year when thousands shipped bricks to them to build the wall. Maybe
they'll listen if you tell them that this time it's through the door by
mail, next time it's through the window by hand. Heck, just print out
this essay and wrap the brick in it. They'll get the message.
There
are those who say that I should be arrested for simply making the
suggestion that deliberate political vandalism in the defense of liberty
is no vice. I quote to them, "If this be treason, then make the most of
it!" To my American brothers and sisters of all races, religions and
creeds, who believe as I do -- to those who believe not in the false
collectivist promises of those who would rule us, but in the individual
liberty and prosperity of the shining city on a hill that was and is the
promise of the Founder's Republic -- I say to you: "ROCK 'EM." Let the
Window War begin. It won't take long to get the attention of the
cowardly and treasonable Amnesty Conspirators. And when we do, somewhere
Sam Adams and the Sons of Liberty of old will be smiling.

That's news, at least as profoundly biased mainstream media types
define it. It should shame every one of us that those who are putting

ask the folks at home and their representatives to grow a pair of balls.

McCain Musings On Memorial Day Weekend

When the “John
McCain for President, 2008” campaign shifts into high gear,
we’ll be hearing ad nauseum about the candidate’s heroism,
character and patriotism.
Too bad none of it is true.
America could use a heroic
figure with a high moral code and a true love of country. But McCain
is far from that man.
When you do a simple analysis of McCain’s
personal and professional life and lay it out over thirty years, his
picture is ugly.
Think of my column as a review of McCain
low points that you will be hearing less about---at least from the
GOP—as the countdown to the 2008 presidential primaries begins.
Heroism
McCain is a sore point among other U.S.
POWs. Most resent the preferential medical treatment McCain received
after he was shot down in 1967 and revealed to the North Vietnamese Army
that his father, Admiral John McCain, Jr., commanded all U.S. forces in
Europe and was soon-to-be commander of all forces in the Pacific,
including Vietnam.
From the moment the NVA knew who the injured
McCain’s father was, he became a “special patient.”
The NVA hoped to eventually squeeze valuable information out of McCain.
And his fellow POWs remained angry with McCain
when, in 1992 as a member of the Senate Select Committee on POW/MIA
Affairs, he demanded a U.S. Justice Department investigation into Vietnam
veteran activists and their organizations.
McCain called the organized POW’s:
“The most craven, most cynical and most
despicable human beings to ever run a scam.”
McCain got his wish. The DOJ investigated and found
no reason to charge the POW/MIA organizations with any wrongdoing. [Sen.
McCain Wants To Be President By Ted Sampley, U.S. Veteran
Dispatch, January-February 1997 Issue]
Character
In 1980, McCain divorced his wife Carol, who had
been disfigured in an automobile accident while he imprisoned. One month
later, McCain remarried Cindy Lou Hensley, heiress to Phoenix-based
Hensley & Co., the nation's second-largest Anheuser-Busch distributor.
His new trophy wife’s family money launched McCain
into politics.
Then, ten years after his ugly divorce, McCain
was fingered as one of the Keating Five—a group of five Senators
investigated on ethics charges. The five met with Federal Home Loan Bank
chairman Ed Grey allegedly to influence the FHLB to delay seizing the
assets of soon-to-be convicted racketeer Charles Keating’s struggling
(and eventually bankrupt) Lincoln Savings and Loan.
Although McCain was never indicted, an
investigation revealed that his Congressional and Senate campaigns had
been financed in part by donations from Keating. Additionally, McCain
took a total of nine family trips paid for by Keating including three to
the banker’s villa in the Bahamas.
The federal bail out of Lincoln cost
taxpayers $2.6 billion.
Patriotism
Now McCain has become one of the authors of the least
patriotic bill in American history, S.
2611, which the U.S. Senate voted on May 25th. [2006]
Unable to refrain from insulting
Americans worried about the devastating impact of S. 2611, McCain
immediately after the vote said:
“Why not say to those undocumented
workers who are working the jobs
that the rest of us refuse, 'come
out from the shadows.'”
Amazing—three lies in one sentence: “undocumented
workers,” “jobs that the rest of us refuse,” and “come
out of the shadows.”
And another McCain lie:
“In poll after poll after poll, Americans
support earned citizenship and a comprehensive solution” [Immigration
Foreshadows 2008 GOP Contest, by Liz Sidoti, Associated Press,
May 25, 2006]
The truth, to which McCain is averse, is that no
polls indicate anything of the kind. Given a neutral choice that avoids
the words “amnesty” and “illegal alien,”
voters chose
the House approach, HR 4437, to S. 2611 by 2-1.

In all, McCain’s
record is dismal.
Given McCain’s
resume, it’s fair to ask whom he represents and where we can see
evidence of his principles at work.
McCain does not represent:
-
Americans who adhere to family values
-
Scrupulous businessmen, investors and politicians
who would never consider taking nine junkets funded by a special
interest donor.
I asked Henry Lenoir for insight into McCain’s real
self. Lenoir is the ex-fighter pilot who wrote
to VDARE.COM that McCain would be a “disaster” as
president.
Said Lenoir:
“McCain’s Hanoi experiences provide
effective cover for his political ambitions. People don’t see that there
isn’t much behind the image. People also assume, based on his Vietnam
service and his party affiliation, that he is a red-blooded American
patriot. As for me, I wonder if he and President Bush share a Mexican
paymaster.”
McCain has consistently and knowingly done the
wrong thing to those closest to him…his family, his constituents and his
war buddies.
And he has knowingly and without fail acted in the
best interests of only one person…Senator John McCain.

White House invites several in Congress daily to push new secret amnesty

THE WHITE HOUSE STORY IN BRIEF
The story from the White House is not yet entirely clear to us -- or to
our allies in Congress. But this is what is emerging:
While the media (and all of us activists) have been mostly focused on
blocking Sen. Kennedy's latest (yet-unveiled) amnesty, Karl Rove and his
White House crew have been shuttling Senators and Representatives in and
out almost non-stop trying to build momentum for THEIR newly hatched
attempt at an amnesty.
The groups trekking to the White House are mostly Republican but are
including Democrats, too.
We are told that at least a few supposedly anti-amnesty Members of
Congress have already given their approval to this new White House plan.
Their willingness to do so is reportedly because the White House argues
that new features make it possible to give illegal aliens citizenship
without distracted voters recognizing that it is an amnesty.
Among the features appear to be echoes of the "step-out-step-in" portion
of the Pence Amnesty plan from last year where at some point illegal
aliens have crossed the border for a few hours or days before coming
back in and applying for a path to citizenship.
Although the White House is not saying so directly, it appears that it
plans to have a massive increase in annual green cards in order to
accommodate the step-out-step-in citizenship applicants.
The White House is preying on the fear of many Members of Congress that
if they don't soon pass something that looks like a solution to the 12
million illegal aliens, they will suffer political fallout.
Only you can make them more fearful of endorsing anything that allows
illegal aliens to remain permanently in this country.
We must stop any momentum that may already have developed for
introducing this.
Your own Members may already have given at least a tentative pledge of
support.

created, anything that allows an illegal alien to remain in this country
indefinitely or permanently is an amnesty and will be opposed by the
majority of voters in your district.

One reason we know that your phone calls and faxes are so powerful is by
the efforts the White House and others make to try to argue that their
proposals aren't "amnesties."
Obviously, that is what propels the laughable idea of having illegal
aliens leave our country by a few feet and then come back in to get
their path to citizenship.
ADMINISTRATION INSULTS THE AMERICAN LEGION, AMERICAN FAMILIES AND
AMERICAN WORKERS
The American Legion is a giant and powerful organization of around 3
million veterans who served during a time of war.
I am not aware of any other such large national organization that has
come even close to the Legion in standing with the American public
against illegal immigration. Not Big Business, not Big Labor, not Big
Religion, Not Big Media, Not Big Environmentalism, Not Big Rights
Groups, Not Big Politics.
But the American Legion in recent years has adopted at least eight
resolutions that make up the key components of ATTRITION THROUGH
ENFORCEMENT & SELF-DEPORTATION. (No amnesty, no instate tuititon, no
matricula consular, yes to the fence, yes to mandatory workplace
verification, yes to immigration enforcement by local police, yes to
military on the border.)
Nonetheless, the Legion has never thrown the full muscle of its
considerable lobbying power behind immigration efforts. So, it was a
very good sign that for the first time ever, the Legion devoted a whole
afternoon at its national convention this week to the subject of
immigration. (I am asking all of you veterans to join me in encouraging
the Legion to make stopping both the Kennedy and the Bush amnesties a
top priority this spring. I'll be giving you special opportunities.)
Representing the Bush Administration during the immigration event was
Alfonso Aguilar from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
In essence, he let the American Legion know that the Bush Administration
regards the Legion's solutions as naive and unworkable.
Aguilar said the Administration agrees on the need for a secure border
and tougher enforcement against employers. But refusal to give
citizenship to the 12 million illegal aliens already here is a threat to
national security, he said.
Besides, he said, America desperately needs foreign workers.
Why?
Because "we have American families not having kids." Aguilar's arguments
paralleled the insulting comments one often finds on radical leftist and
ethnic blogs in which America's citizens are described as increasingly
aging, impotent and helpless people who don't have enough strength or
smarts to continue to run their country -- and not enough passion for
having their own country to keep it.
Aguilar said all over America he hears businesses say that Americans
aren't having enough kids to provide a workfoce.
"To think we could keep our economy going on native-born Americans is
totally unrealistic," the Administration spokesman said.
That is why the Administration is pushing to turn illegal aliens into
"guest workers," he said.
Looking into the sea of American Legion hats, he told the veterans that
if they backed strong border security without offering legal status to
illegal aliens they would be suporting an insecure American in which 12
million illegal aliens would be living in the shadows without our
knowing who they are.
Aguilar left before I spoke, along with Kris Kobach, Mark Krikorian and
John Fonte.
Kobach (with deep experience in anti-terrorism in the Justice
Department, and now law professor) said the Bush Administration he
served is totaly wrong that bringing illegal aliens out of the shadows
would guarantee that we know who they really are. Rather, it would
simply mean that we know what names they have given us. He noted that
one of the illegal aliens brought out of the shadows by the 1986 amnesty
went on to plot the first World Trade Center bombing. Amnesty just makes
it possible for illegal alien terrorists to easily travel back and forth
to other countries to plan their acts of terror, he said.
When my turn came, I urged the Legion to stick with its solution of
ATTRITION THROUGH ENFORCEMENT. And I decried the Administration
spokesman's insult of American families as being too impotent to
continue our economy. In fact, I said, native-born Americans are having
almost exactly the number of babies it takes to replace retiring and
dying workers.
I also lamented Aguilar's insult of native-born American workers,
declaring them entirely up to the task of doing the jobs that Americans
and the American economy needs.
Nonetheless, I was shocked that the Bush Administration had chosen to
speak so insensitively to the national, state and regional leaders of
our nation's veterans. But learning tonight of the aggressive efforts of
the White House with Members of Congress right now, I better understand:
Massive new flows of foreign workers is once again a top priority of the
Bush Administration.
Not only must American workers and families and veterans suffer the
congestion, wage depression and quality of life deterioration due to
this foreign flood, but they will have to subsidize them with higher and
higher taxes.
While the Bush Administration shortchanges veterans programs and health
care, it continues to force higher and higher tax transfers to the care
of foreign workers. I noted to the Legion that Robert Rector of Heritage
Foundation has found that the lifetime net taxpayer subsidy for the high
school drop-outs among the foreign workers already here will be around
ONE TRILLION DOLLARS. Not BILLION but TRILLION.
We can save half that by denying amnesty to the illegal aliens and
slowly causing them to go back home.
American workers, please stand up for yourselves.
American families, please stand up for yourselves.
American veterans, please stand up for yourselves.
When the Bush White House began leaking plans for an amnesty for all
Mexican illegal aliens in summer of 2001, our protests stopped it.
When Pres. Bush announced in January of 2004 that one of his top
priorities would be turning 12 million illegal aliens into "guest
workers" who might or might not ever have to leave, our protests stopped
him.
When the White House feverishly sought "comprehensive immigration
reform" in 2006, our protests stopped it.
The key has been to mount quick and massive protest to each sign of the
White House making a priority of its amnesty compulsion.
When you call, tell the White House and your Members of Congress that
you stand with the American Legion and its proposals for ATTRITION
THROUGH ENFORCEMENT & SELF-DEPORTATION.
Tell them you resent the Bush Administration's implications at the
American Legion convention that American workers and American families
aren't up to the task of keeping this country going.
The White House and its allies on the Hill believe that you will
eventually grow weary and stop paying attention. Give them all a wake up
call at the switchboard today.
