Obamessiah wants to be Abortionist In Chief of the USA but says...
Obama says pointed abortion query “above his pay grade”
Posted by: Ed Stoddard
DALLAS - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama side-stepped a pointed query about abortion on Saturday by “mega-pastor” Rick Warren during a televised forum.
Asked at what point a baby gets “human rights,” Obama, who strongly supports abortion rights, said: “… whether you’re looking at it from a theological perspective or a scientific perspective, answering that question with specificity … is above my pay grade.”
He went on to reiterate his view that it was important to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies.
===
...Above his pay grade until he is elected and ascends to his godhead position as the Obamessiah.
Translation of the above statement by Obama, "I dont need to decide. I'd kill them ALL!" (as his solution to pregnancies unwanted or otherwise...)
Obamessiah is the most liberal Senator in the US Senate. Omamessiah has a 100% pro-abortion voting record. He is recognized for this by NARAL (the National Abortion Rights Action League).
He specifically voted to allow "partial birth abortion" where the live baby is delivered feet first utill the skull still remains in the birth canal. Then the brains are sucked out, collapsing the skull.
This is the ULTIMATE sacrament to abortion lovers like Obamessiah.

Taliban Allies in Congress Embolden New Fighters To Join
McCain's terrorist bill of rights, and actions of all in government and judiciary (including the supreme court) to extend citizen rights to terrorists and enemy fighters held at Club Gitmo and elsewhere, are heartening and encouraging others to step in and volunteer to fight the devil Americans in Afghanistan. They get a call from Allah (or is it Osama Obama?) to come join the fun, they get uniformed soldier rights from the US for terrorists acts, thanks to traitorous spineless weenies in the USA that care more for terrorists than the soldiers in battle.

More foreign fighters join Taliban in Afghanistan
By Jon Hemming, Al Reuters Correspondent [and Honorary Talibani at the front]
KABUL (Reuters) - More foreign fighters are joining the ranks of Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan as militants increasingly cross the border from Pakistan to attack Afghan and Western troops, the Afghan Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
Afghanistan has kept up a barrage of criticism against neighbor Pakistan in the last three months, accusing Pakistani agents of being behind a string of high-profile attacks and allowing militants sanctuary along the long and porous border.
"The presence of foreign fighters is increasing, and increasingly the operations of the terrorists are led by foreigners," Defense Ministry spokesman General Mohammad Zaher Azimi told a news conference.
Afghan, NATO and U.S.-led coalition forces are struggling to contain a sharp surge in violence as the traditional summer fighting season gets into full swing.

Obamessiah's European Priorities Don't Included Wounded Solders
While on his triumphal world tour, currently swinging through central Europe, the Obamessiah was scheduled to visit wounded soldiers for his patented faith healing CHANGE sessions involving his MSM press secretaries. Plans change because military hospitals do not allow their facilities to be used for campaign photo-ops. Hospitals are for healing, not political cred building for neophyte politicians. The Obamessiah decided to better use his time to pander to rockers at a staged concert to draw a crowd. I wonder if Obamessiah's staffers supplied pot and blow to the rocker crowd to keep'em happy? I was surprized that a riot didn't break out when he started bumping his choppers on stage instead of a band playing. A little chemical entertainment is the most likely scneario. They would cheer for more of the same. A little of the "Yeah, yeah... so shut up and let the band back on stage!"
The world is basking in the glory of the Obamessiah.

People, he wanted to go, really he did. But, no one could find a movable tele-prompter. He couldn't be expected to be able to talk to a wounded Soldier, Sailor, Marine or Airman off the cuff, and he'd have to move around as the wounded probably wouldn't be able to walk to him, one by one, to bask in the glory that is the Obamessiah.
"We have longstanding Department of Defense policy in regards to political campaigns and elections," Pentagon spokesperson Elizabeth Hibner told me (Greg Sargent). "We informed the Obama staff that he was more than welcome to visit as Senator Obama, with Senate staff. However, he could not conduct the visit with campaign staff."
So Senator Obama's campaign staff is more important to him than visiting wounded soldiers?
The DoD says that to me and I say, "Okay guys, hang here at the Obamaplane, this is important to me." Instead of "My staff can't go? Well, off to shopping then!"

I guess the foreign politicians needed to bask in his divine presence.
I wonder if there is a Vatican visit shoehorned into the Obamessiah's busy schedule. The pope would surely love to meet the Obamessiah in person and maybe kiss his wingtips.

The Obamessiah and Bush Derangement Syndrome
The Obamessiah is still touring and blessing his faithfull acolytes and converts. This is bringing showers of money from those who hope to vote for him in November. He is raking in cash from people who can not be held accountable because they are not living inside the borders of the USA. FEC says Obamessiah's collection plates have brought in over a million that they know of. When the Clintons sought cash from the Chinese and other foreign sources, those were below the radar and I would bet that Obama cash handlers have plenty of that brand of action too. Here is an excerpted (and commented by me - comments in italics) report from one of Obamessiah's press release distributions, AP via:

Obama beats McCain in Europe donations
July 25th, 2008
By GREGORY KATZ AP Writer (and Obama Spear Carrier)
LONDON (AP) - Barack Obama's campaign has received roughly 10 times more money from declared U.S. donors living in Germany, France and Britain than his Republican rival... as he makes his first tour of the continent as the presumed...(ed: [] Democrat nominee [] Messiah of the world.)
Federal Election Commission reports show Obama has raised at least $1 million... The European totals include contributions of $200 or more from each individual as election laws do not require campaigns to itemize lesser amounts. So it's possible Obama has received money from smaller donors... (ed: who are not US citizens and not US registered voters). (ed: How is the FEC able to closely track this on contributions made in foreign countries? Are the Obamessiah acolytes counting the collection plate and giving a daily tally to the FEC?)
Obama's many backers in Europe say they are motivated by a yearning for America to once again be viewed with respect by the rest of the world. (ed: This means that they want us to join the growing number of countries under socialist rule to become a World Union of Socialist Republics.)
The disparity between the two candidates underscores the Democratic candidate's appeal on a continent where Obamamania seems to have taken hold of expatriates and Europeans alike.
Obama has been much more sophisticated about Internet usage, and when you live overseas that's the easiest way to contribute. (ed: The internet makes election year fraud much easier to do and harder to trace. Thank Algore.)
Each donor is permitted to give a maximum of $2,300 for each election, but since the primaries are regarded as a separate election, a person can make two separate donations of $2,300 before the general election in November. While some gave the maximum, others made contributions in the $10 and $25 range.
(ed: This kinda makes you sit back and say "hmmmmm" as you ponder the fact that now we have the Fieger Precedent. Geoffy was able to get underlings and associates to donate large sums of cash (over $100,000) to Democrat causes and then reimburse them to disguise the source. This was held to be legal by a jury of HIS peers. Thus we have the Fieger Precedent for a way for Democrats to mask large cash contributions.)
Only U.S. citizens are permitted to contribute to presidential campaigns. (ed: But in light of the Fieger Precedent, that is no barrier to the Democrats.)
===
What is driving the soul deep yearning for the Obamessiah here and overseas? Three words describe it best: Bush Derangement Syndrome
BDS - The expressed naked hatred of Bush and that fear of a McCain presidency as Bush 3. Flip the coin and an Obamessiah presidency is Jimmy Carter 2. I say he would be MUCH WORSE. He doesn't have a brother Billy Bob, which would at least give some comic relief (Remember Billy Beer?)
Europeans are being given a chance to express the BDS and possibly get a vote if the Dems can figure a way to manufacture enough fake expatriate voter registrations to allow for absentee ballots for all of them. Be alert for them to try to block ballots from overseas serving airmen, soldiers, sailors, and marines.
We have illegal aliens here who managed to get registered before the drivers license/motor voter easy portal to voter registration was clamped down. We have heard an estimate that up to 3% of the vote is illegals and it is enough to sway the results one way or the other. In this years election it almost doesn't matter because both sides are belly crawling panderers to illegals, and will give legal status to these criminals. I just want to block the illegal vote.
How will the illegals, that have managed to register to vote, accomplish the deed this year? Absentee Ballots, now that they are registered they can vote where no one can challenge their vote. The absentee ballot is the means that Democrats use to manufacture graveyard votes, pet registration votes, New England-Florida Snowbird votes. They are endlessly creative at ways to defraud the voting public. The absentee ballot offers the easiest means to manufacture large numbers of fraudulent votes. Electronic, non-paper, voting machines are right in the mix now that butterfly ballots are no longer used.

Columbia's military pulls off an operation for the books

Betancourt: Rescue in Colombia was 'impeccable'
By FRANK BAJAK, AP Writer
BOGOTA, Colombia - Colombian spies tricked leftist rebels into handing over kidnapped presidential candidate Ingrid Betancourt and three U.S. military contractors Wednesday in a daring helicopter rescue so successful that not a single shot was fired.
Betancourt, who was seized on the campaign trail six long years ago, appeared thin but healthy as she strode down the stairs of a military plane and held her mother in a long embrace.
"Thank you for your impeccable operation," she told top military commanders. "The operation was perfect."
Eleven Colombian police and soldiers were also freed in the rescue, the most serious blow ever dealt to the 44-year-old Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, which considered the four hostages their most valuable bargaining chips. The FARC is already reeling from the deaths of key commanders and the loss of much of the territory it once held.
Defense Minister Juan Manuel Santos said military intelligence agents infiltrated the guerrilla ranks and led the local commander in charge of the hostages, alias Cesar, to believe they were going to take them to Alfonso Cano, the guerrillas' supreme leader.
The hostages, who had been divided in three groups, were taken to a rallying point where two disguised helicopters piloted by Colombian military agents were waiting. Betancourt said her hands and feet were bound.
"We were frustrated because we were handcuffed," she said. "We were very indignant, very humiliated."
Only when the helicopters were airborne did military crewmembers reveal their identity, she said.
"The chief of the operation said, `We're the national army. You're free,'" she said, adding that the hostages were so shocked, it was as if "the helicopter almost fell from the sky."
Santos said Cesar and another rebel on board "were neutralized." He didn't elaborate, but said they were unhurt and would soon face justice. Santos said the other rebel captors retreated into the jungle and the army let them escape "in hopes that they will free the rest of the hostages," believed to number about 700.
The operation, Santos said, "will go into history for its audacity and effectiveness."
"We wanted to have it happen as it did today," added armed forces chief Gen. Freddy Padilla. "Without a single shot. Without anyone wounded. Absolutely safe and sound, without a scratch."
At a Bogota ceremony with top military commanders, the freed hostages walked up to a microphone one by one, identified themselves by name and rank, and thanked their rescuers. Some had been held for a dozen years, captured when rebels overran military outposts.
Last to speak was the French-Colombian Betancourt, who wore military fatigues and a floppy camouflage hat as she hugged her mother, Yolanda Pulecio, and her husband, Juan Carlos LeCompte. She removed her hat to reveal intricately braided dark hair, with plaits framing her face and a white flower.
In Paris, her son Lorenzo Delloye-Betancourt called her release "the most beautiful news of my life." He and other relatives were flying to Colombia to join her.
The Americans — Marc Gonsalves, Thomas Howes and Keith Stansell — were flying directly to the United States to reunite with their families, Santos said.
They had been the longest-held American hostages in the world.
Gonsalves' father George was mowing the yard of his Hebron, Connecticut, home when an excited neighbor relayed the news he had seen on television: "I didn't know how to stop my lawnmower. I was shocked. I couldn't believe it."
"We're still teary-eyed and not quite have our wits about us," said Stansell's stepmother Lynne.
U.S. President George W. Bush and French President Nicolas Sarkozy congratulated Colombian President Alvaro Uribe.
Santos renewed the government's offer to negotiate with the reeling rebel movement, who many believe is nearing the end of its four-decade fight. Battlefield losses and widespread desertions have cut rebel numbers in half to about 9,000 as the United States has poured billions of dollars in military aid into Colombia.
This year, historic leader Manuel Marulanda died of a reported heart attack, and two other top commanders were killed. The rest are hunkered down in remote jungle and mountain hideouts, unable to communicate effectively.
Santos said Colombia had infiltrated the rebels' seven-man ruling secretariat, but did not elaborate.
"The government reiterates to them that if they want to enter into serious negotiations in good faith, we are offering a dignified peace," Santos said.
U.S. presidential candidate John McCain said Uribe had told him in advance of the rescue plans while he was campaigning in Colombia. "It's a very high-risk operation," he said. "I congratulate President Uribe, the military and the nation of Colombia."
Betancourt, 46, was abducted in February 2002. The Americans were captured a year after Betancourt when their drug surveillance plane went down in rebel-held jungle.
In the five years since their abduction, their families had received only two "proof of life" videos, the latest in November.
That tape also showed the first images since 2003 of Betancourt. Along with letters and reports from other hostages, they showed a once-vibrant, confident woman slowly succumbing to Hepatitis B, tropical skin diseases and depression. One former hostage said Betancourt was kept chained to a tree after trying to escape. There was no immediate word on Betancourt's condition.
Former Betancourt aide Clara Rojas, who was kidnapped with her boss and freed in January, called the rescue "an enormous relief" and said she hoped the FARC would "take a rational decision to free the rest of the hostages."

Oil and the Dollar, an interesting read
The "oil crisis" is nothing of the sort. The world is swimming in oil. Our crisis (political) is that we are controlled by corrupt politicians that will not allow recovery of oil on our own land, forcing us to rely on foreign sources. The "Hate Bush" crowd tries to say he is the cause, but the road blocks to domestic energy are nearly all on the Democrat side of the fence. As we have seen lately, McCain is of the squishy moderate side that wants to keep the US enslaved to foreign oil. McCain is also a pimp for Algore's "Global Warming Gestapo" which will further enslave the US to foreign interests.
Here is an enlightening read on the "falling" dollar and the runup of gas prices...

The Dollar and Oil — The Truth
Friday, May 30, 2008 8:21 AM
By: Max Whitmore
About a month or so ago, I wrote a column that was a tongue-in-cheek, fictional story that addressed the oil speculation that was going on at the time. Of course, that speculation is still going on. Well, this column is one where I am going to tell it like I see it, warts and all.
I have been in this business for over 40 years, as you all know by now, and I have seen a lot. Some of it has been very good and some of it has been very bad. I don’t count myself as having seen it all, but what I have seen helps me get to the bottom of problems in this business.
I want to address two much talked about topics, the dollar and oil. Both of these are the most misunderstood of all the current investing subjects out there that occupy financial print and talk space. Now, don’t get me wrong here. I don’t claim to be able to see every nook and cranny of these subjects. But, what I do see are the elements that repeat the oldest scams around.
The Dollar
The most overused phrase today is the one that says “the dollar is declining fast and is in deep trouble.” The first implication is that the dollar needs to go much higher and fast. The second implication is that the dollar is out of control and about to fall off a cliff to oblivion. The third implication is that the Fed...
===
And [here] is another fascinating read on what is happening to the dollar from a trader [a bit technical but interesting nonetheless]. The comment section is a hoot.

Bush wants to stop the state of Texas from executing an illegal alien gang member [a member of the Bush Cartel?] who was convicted of the rape and murder of two teenage girls (ages 14 and 16). The Bush contention is that it violates a Geneva Convention and he wants to use this to trump and over rule US Courts. The US Supreme Court sided with the Texas Courts. Only three of the Supreme Court members sided with Bush against the USA: Breyer, Ginsberg, and Stevens (the usual leftist suspects).

Court backs Texas in dispute with Bush
By Mark Sherman, AP Writer - March 27, 2008
WASHINGTON — Texas can ignore President Bush and an international court in refusing to reopen the case of a Mexican on death row for rape and murder, the Supreme Court said Tuesday.
The court said Bush exceeded his authority when he tried to intervene on behalf of Jose Ernesto Medellin, facing the death penalty for killing two teenagers nearly 15 years ago.
By a 6-3 vote, the court said Texas does not have to give a new hearing to death row prisoner Jose Ernesto Medellin, a former Houston gang member who is now 33.
White House press secretary Dana Perino said Bush was disappointed with the decision and is now reviewing it to see how it might impact international relations.
A Texas prosecutor whose office won a conviction against Medellin said she would ask for an execution date to be set as soon as the high court resolves a separate case over a challenge to lethal injection procedures. The court also could dispose of the cases of seven other Mexicans on death row in Texas as early as Monday.
Chief Justice Roberts, in the unfamiliar role of limiting presidential power, said the international court decision cannot be forced upon the states.
The president may not "establish binding rules of decision that pre-empt contrary state law," Roberts said. "Neither does the treaty, by itself, require individual states to take action", he said.
Breyer, joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter, said the international court judgment should be enforced. [ed: Ever the good little globalist socialists, they seek ways to undermine US Law and put us under international rule on the road to the socializing of America.]
Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, who argued the state's case at the high court, said the decision "categorically prohibits foreign courts from undermining American sovereignty and independence."
The case is Medellin v. Texas, 06-984.

Jimmy "Mr Peanut" Carter - The Worst President of the 20th Century
I will not try to chronicle all of the faults of the Carter presidency... it was enough that he was defeated by a "Had Enough" type campaign of "Are you better off now that you were 4 years ago?". The answer was a very loud "HELL NO!" Inflation was rampant. Carter was a "Go along to get along" president. He gave away the Panama Canal Zone. Fieger got 64 to give, U.S. says
Thanks to a friend for an email tip on this news about a very ballsy Geof Fieger. He really pulls some doozies. Is he that well politically connected that he cen do this without fear of prosecution? Fieger got 64 to give, U.S. says
Judge rules trial to stay in state
BY DAVID ASHENFELTER • FREE PRESS STAFF WRITER • April 10, 2008
Geoffrey Fieger was so eager to raise money for John Edwards' 2004 presidential campaign, he put the squeeze on the owner of the gym where he works out, prosecutors said in court papers this week only days before his criminal trial in U.S. District Court in Detroit is to start.
All told, prosecutors said, Fieger and his law partner, Vernon (Ven) Johnson, recruited 64 people -- including law partners, paralegals, vendors and others -- to contribute $127,000 to Edwards' ill-fated campaign.
In every case, prosecutors said, Fieger and Johnson reimbursed the so-called straw donors from law firm coffers.
Prosecutors also said Fieger urged straw donors not to talk to federal agents, advised one donor how to testify before a federal grand jury and tried to conceal a memo that a member of his firm wrote to warn Fieger that using straw donors was illegal.

Granholm and Cherry - Tax Dodgers according to the Feds
Thanks to Nick at RightMichigan.com
BREAKING: Granholm and Cherry busted by Feds for failure to pay taxes!!!By Nick |
|
So
after all that talk about the importance of new revenues the
woman didn't even pay her own taxes? Shocking details are
emerging today that indicate Michigan's most prominent tax-hike
advocates, Governor Jennifer Granholm and John Cherry, are in
trouble with the federal government for, get this... refusing to
pay their taxes! The kind of trouble you don't get in for a
minor offense. The kind of trouble that only comes after
repeated notifications from the federal government.
A lien, boys and girls, is a big deal. It means that the federal government can seize assets and come to collect the cash themselves, by force. No wonder Granholm and Cherry thought the government needed additional revenue. They knew there was a gaping hole in the budget created by their own chronic and ongoing delinquency. Though delinquency might be the wrong word. That implies that they're going to eventually pay their back taxes. The Granholm Cherry Inaugural Committee hasn't really had any parties to plan for the last few years. If they couldn't be bothered to pay their taxes to this point why on earth would they start now? (Though something tells me this story might provide just the kick in the pants the feds need to collect what the duo owes.) This is the same Gov and LG who rammed a record shattering tax hike through the legislature last year, whose taxpayer funded budgets have increased by billions of dollars since 2002 and who are currently entrusted with the responsibility to budget and spend forty-three billion dollars this year alone. Tax dollars. Tax dollars normal folks paid to the government. On time. Apparently Granholm and Cherry have taken taxpayer funded paychecks so long they think that only the little people pay taxes. Can't blame this one of John Engler, or the Chinese, or the Republicans, or President Bush, or NAFTA, CAFTA, the SHAFTA, the Cookie Monster, Big Foot... I'm sorry Madame Governor... Sasquatch... But then again, this is the level of incompetence we've come to expect from the Granholm administration. Well, ok, so maybe it's a few feet deeper into the incompetence pool than most of their typical mismanagement. The biggest tax hikers in the history of the State... tax cheats. Sorta sets a whole new standard for liberal hypocrisy doesn't it?

is now as insubstantial as a soap bubble and ready to burst.
The socialists in the MSM have chosen a new player for their
affections named B. Hussein Obama.
Little Johnny would do well to pay close attention to the MSM's
treatment of the wicked witch of the east, Hillary Rodham-Clinton.
The favorable face time before network cameras of the socialist MSM
is about to end for Little Johnny.
"Your suitors are wearing running shoes and are ready to
sprint off to support B. Hussein Obama." That bump you felt was not a
pot hole in the road. It was Hillary being tossed under the bus. It will
only get rougher from here on out, John. Your liberal supporters are
leaving in favor of B. Hussein Obama. John, you are about to be jilted
and there will be no "Dear John" letter.
Maybe a bouquet of a dozen wilted roses sent to you via

McCain, Take Note on Media Treatment of Hillary
Friday, February 29, 2008 9:03 AM
By: David Limbaugh
Memo to former mainstream-media darling John McCain: I hope you are paying close attention to the MSM's palpable favoritism toward Barack Obama because we haven't seen anything yet. You think The New York Times was an exception? Just wait.
I urge you to review the tape of the Ohio Democratic debate from Tuesday night.
In one sequence after another, Brian Williams and Tim Russert took proactive roles in the debate, playing "gotcha" mostly against Hillary Clinton instead of facilitating a debate between the candidates.
So what? [more]

The Iseman cometh...
...to cast a cold shroud over the McCain campaign. Today, Little Johnny had Cindy Lou stand at his side to deny any inappropriate actions or conduct with the Iseman (Vicki).
The report surfaced in The New York Times (aka: Pravda-US), a real bastion of liberalism and an official media outlet of the DNC politburo (MoveOnKoSoroStryker). The Iseman is Vicki Iseman, a telecommunications lobbyist. The report alleges inappropriate conduct back in 2000 during a previous McCain campaign.
There has been mention of Little Johnny being "swift boated" in various forums and blogs.
The Swift Boat Veterans told the TRUTH about John Kerry, so the term means to broadcast the truth.
What has been broadcast about McCain is unsubstantiated bull excrement at this time.
This has the smell of another Clinton smear attack.
(Or could this be a sympathy ploy by the McCain camp to try to whip up support from conservatives for Little Johnny for being wrongfully accused?)

The gun grabbers are getting bold once again
The gun grabbers are getting bold again. They know that this next election, they win either way, Obama/Clinton or their undercover candidate, McCain. Little Johnny will go along with them for all the favorable face time on the television that the lefty MSM will give him. The MSM and MoveOnKoSoroStryker knows they can count on McCain.
They are currently trying to make it look like an internet gun dealer is at fault (as a supplier to the shooter at Northern Illinois University) when all he sold were accessories to the shooter, not the guns used. The shooting would have happened without the holster or extra magazines. If they could identify where the ammo was purchased, the seller would join the owner of the TheGunStore.com on the cross. The guns were legally purchased at a gun store in Champaign, Illinois (not off the internet). The Ass. Press and SCOTT BAUER AP Writer, are intent on a smear of TheGunStore.com because that is the current incrimental target to get shut down by the gun grabbers.
Chucky Schumer and the anti-gun lobby are beginning to foam at the mouth. Here are a few of the mad dogs that need to be curbed...

Jorge's Earmark - The Merida Initiative - 1.4 BILLION for Mexico
cross posted to "No Amnesty - GOT IT?"
El Presidente Bush will not secure our border but wants to quietly slip over a billion dollars to Mexico.

The Merida Initiative - a $1.4 Billion Dollar Border Security Package for Mexico
by John Wallace
President Bush is pushing for a massive $1.4 billion, multi-year foreign-aid package for Mexico that is designed to help that country secure their southern border...
Yes, Bush has done everything in his power to leave our borders unprotected but wants to send $1.4 billion (1400 stacks of a million dollars) to Mexico!
Congress recently reduced funding for our own border security efforts, particularly for the border fence, giving money to a foreign country to secure their border would seem almost too unbelievable to be true.
Bush will spend this for Mexico but not for the USA.
Unfortunately, it is true and the plan is called "The Merida Initiative." The funding for this initiative is tucked into the 2008 supplemental budget...
We could expect no less from the corrupt politicians in our government.
Many of the meetings to create "The Merida Initiative" were held in secret by government representatives of both Mexico and the USA, without congressional input.
The proposed Merida Initiative is set to go before congress soon for approval. The entire funding package should be rejected outright and the $1.4 Billion should be immediately re-allocated and put to better use in securing our own border by hiring more Border Patrol agents, completing the border fence, speeding up the deportation of illegal aliens and upgrading the training and firepower of state and local law enforcement agencies in border states and ports of entry.
Let's secure America's border first, before we try to secure another country's border.

WSJ on migration patterns of citizens in USA
According to Wall Street Journal and Allied Van Lines moving company, Michigan loses two residents for every one that moves in from another state.
Taxes are the reason. Democrats say that people want to pay high taxes for services... Read on:

States of Opportunity

An old adage says high taxes don't redistribute income, they
redistribute people.
For new evidence look no further than migration patterns within the
United States, as documented in a new survey by the moving company
United Van Lines.
A record eight million Americans -- some 20,000 people every day -- relocated to another state last year. So where are these families headed and why? The general picture is this: Americans are continuing to flee the Northeast and Midwest, while the leading destinations continue to be Southern and Western states.
The United Van Lines study finds that the biggest population loser last year was Michigan, where two families moved out of the state for every new family that moved in. Americans are also fleeing New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Without interviewing the departed, it's impossible to know the reasons for this outward migration. No doubt overall economic prospects, climate, quality of life and housing prices play a role.
But one reason to conclude that taxes are also a motivator... [more]

Nolan Finley whines: No room in GOP tent for free thinkers? He means mavericks!
Cross posted from that bastion of liberal thinking, The Detroit News
http://www.detnews.com/ apps/pbcs.dll/ article?AID=/20080210/ OPINION03/ 802100308/ 1007/OPINION
[ed: I wonder if Nolan has been sippin' the Tullamore Dew again? Nolan is a supporter of Pro-amnesty politicians who should be aware that their time in office is limited when citizens become aware of this anti-citizen position. Liberal positions out-of-step with constituents merit removal from office.]
No room in GOP tent for free thinkers
by Nolan Finley
[WAAAAhhhh! Snif Snif Whine... from Nolan, the liberal MSM McCain apologist.]
Joe Schwarz knows how it feels to be fragged by his own political party.
Schwarz, the former congressman from Battle Creek, had his legs shot out from under him by the Republican Party's right wing, which decided his independence and occasional flirtation with moderate politics violated party doctrine and demanded excommunication.
Now Schwarz is watching as the GOP's self-righteous screechers try to hang a scarlet "L" around the neck of his good friend John McCain.
So Joe was a free thinker and McCain is a maverick. Either way, if you piss off the electorate, your career as a representative of the people is over unless you can wangle a way into national politics where the MSM can spin you into a celebrity GOP backstabber.
"The same gang that got me is going after him," [whimper, sob] says Schwarz, who lost his seat after just one term in 2006. "They are so intolerant and their minds so narrow that they can't see the damage their doing to their own party. They're not interested in getting candidates elected; they only want doctrinal purity." [breaking into 'gator tears, sobbing uncontrollably]
Conservatives to Joe Schwarz: "When citizens demand that you vote one way and you decide unilaterally to vote against the wishes of the people who put you there, it is BYE-BYE time for you. The citizens didn't put you there to vote with the Democrat caucus. Listen to the 'whine' in the tone of Joe's message. He can't pick up his marbles and run home because he had them taken away from him."
The assault on McCain from conservative talk show hosts and the party's high priests continues even though it's inevitable now that the Arizona senator will be the GOP's nominee for president. If it keeps up, McCain will have to survive deadly assaults from both Republicans and Democrats to win the White House.
Conservatives to McCain: "Your liberal MSM friends, liberal cross-over voters, and other moderates got you to this point without any help from conservatives. Lets see them propel you the rest of the way. Why should we now be forced to support the choice of liberals for our party candidate? You now claim conservative positions after sleeping with the enemy for years, John."
To win in 1992, Bill Clinton had to convince the Democratic Party's pinkos that victory would only be found in the center. John McCain, to win in 2008, must force the GOP's right-wing nuts to the same reality.
Conservatives to Nolan Finley: "Ahh Nolan. What are we going to do with you? You confuse a hard right shift to a middle of the road position by Bill Clinton, at least during his "How can we fool them today?" campaign when he had to dupe voters, with conservatives that do not need to shift right. Conservatives lose whenever that are perceived as moving to the left as you say we should be doing. GOP modrates lost seats in the 2006 midterm to Democrats, who had campaigned on positions more conservative than the Republicans they replaced. This was a case of Democrats moving RIGHT to unseat middle of the road Republicans who more than likely had staked out left of center positions to try to appeal to liberals (just like McCain). In the case of the John McCain campaign, it has been fueled thus far by moderate Republicans and cross-over Democrats. Ahhh why bother, Nolan is editor for the liberal motor city rag, The Detroit News."

New York Times Endorses McCain: He is no threat to the liberal agenda
http://www. renewamerica.us/ columns/ gaynor/ 080201
Excerpted and cross posted from the RenewAmerica.us column
by Michael Gaynor
McCain stopped putting duty, honor, and country first
The New York Times knows who they prefer to have as the GOP candidate.
While the liberal establishment may be conflicted over whether it wants Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama as the Democratic presidential nominee, there's no doubt which Republican it favors.
John McCain is the liberal elite's go-to guy in the GOP. They believe he'll be there for them when they need him.
That was the essential message of last week's New York Times editorial endorsing McCain for the Republican nomination.
NYT: "We have shuddered at McCain's occasional, tactical pander to the right because he has demonstrated that he has the character to stand on principle."
What the Times is saying here is that it does not take McCain's conservative campaign-season rhetoric seriously. No, they're convinced the man on the Straight Talk Express is railroading Republican primary voters.
Long experience has taught the Times to read McCain's sign language. No matter what contortions McCain undergoes to shape this language, its message is reassuringly constant from the left's point of view. It says: I am no threat to the liberal agenda.

McCain tries to assuage conservatives
By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Republican John McCainis trying to ease long-standing distrust among the party's powerful conservatives. It will be a slow process.
"I believe that the majority of Republican Party conservatives are convinced that I'm best equipped to lead this country, unify our party and take on the challenge of radical Islamic extremism," McCain told reporters Saturday.
As Super
Tuesday looms — and the possibility that McCain could all but
wrap up the nomination — the chattering conservative class is in an
uproar. Talk show host Rush
Limbaugh has warned that McCain as standard-bearer would destroy
the Republican Party. Author and pundit
Ann Coulter, in jaw-dropping heresy, said she would campaign for
Democrat Hillary
Rodham Clinton if McCain wins the party nod. Commentators Laura
Ingraham, Sean
Hannity and Mark Levin have come out in support of McCain's
rival, Mitt
Romney.
Surrogates for the former Massachuttsetts governor have claimed that McCain is outside the GOP mainstream.
"If you are a Republican in the broadest sense, there is only one place to go right now, and that's Mitt Romney," said former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum.
In four terms in the Senate, McCain has built a solid conservative record on scores of issues. He consistently opposed abortion and favored gun rights. He has challenged runaway federal spending and lawmakers' pet projects. He is a defense hawk and has been one of the strongest backers of the Iraq war.
[Hey John! We remember your support for the so called "assault weapons" ban, an attack on the rights of citizens. According to you, if it looks military it is an assault weapon, never mind that it can NOT go full auto and is NOT a machine gun. By a broad interpretation of your assault weapons ban, many hunting guns would be affected after the Brady Bunch got through. Liz, we have better memories than you give us credit for.]
But McCain has bucked the party over the years on high-profile issues and, in doing so, made his share of enemies on the right.
He co-authored campaign-finance reforms that critics say limit free speech, made combatting global warming a priority and supported an eventual path to citizenship for millions of illegal immigrants. He twice voted against President Bush's tax cuts, favored relaxing restrictions on federal financing of embryonic stem cell research and objected to a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage although he opposes same-sex unions.
To assuage conservatives, McCain has rolled out endorsements from leading conservatives and aired a new television ad that mentions Ronald Reagan. He plans to attend a major gathering of conservatives later this month.
[How dare a RINO like McCain sully the good name of Ronaldus Magnus Maximus. Little Johnny has over a 20 year history of giving us the finger and now he wants to try to smooth things over to grease the way into the White House? There are two words for you John and the first begins with F. (note 1) ]
McCain also is appealing to the pragmatic side of conservatives, stressing the need for a unified party in what is certain to be a fierce fight for the White House.
[What pragmatic side, John? You pragmatically ignored us in favor of illegal alien criminals. Why should we accept another Bush Amnesty Clone for another 4 years. After the last two years of you giving us the finger on your illegal alien amnesty bullarkey, we are not in the mood to roll over and take it in the cheeks from you again. See solution below.]
[Solution
...
] [no

"it is critical for him to build a strong and stable bridge to the constituency that every cycle rings the phones, knocks on the doors and gets the vote out," said Greg Mueller, a conservative Republican strategist. "Endorsements alone will not be enough. Many conservatives will look to see what issues he emphasizes on the campaign trail from now until Election Day." [Not when he is endorsed by more squishy moderates! This grassroots activist will not support a McCain candidacy.]
McCain aides are mindful of that, and he's started to make a "big tent" argument.
[This is where he says that he wants to make room enough in the BIG TENT for all of us conservatives to support a squishy maverick RINO along with his liberal and moderate supporters that have kept him alive all through the open primaries by crossing over to vote for him.]
"We need all parts of our party together if we're going to win in November. I believe our party is beginning to realize that," McCain said Thursday at a Los Angeles news conference where he stood next to California Gov. Arnold
"Come fight , then join your Al-Qaeda and Taliban brothers for an all expense paid vacation at sunny Club
Gitmo, US Marine servants, top quality FREE food, Korans and prayer rugs supplied,
free health care, free room and board, free legal representation
courtesy of the communist brothers of the jihad in the USA. If you
should die before reaching the Gitmo Resort, you still receive
your 72 virgin goats. We ran out of sheep, women, and little boys
a long time ago. It is goats or nothing... sorry. The Management"
A couple of sources indicate that Lansing's Channel 10 News
will lead tonight's broadcast with the news that the United
States Department of Treasury has slapped a $19,500 lien on
the executive team's inaugural committee for failure to pay
taxes. That means that the same Governor and Lieutenant
Governor of the State of Michigan who last year told working
moms and dads that they had to fork over an extra $1.5 billion
currently refuse to pay nearly twenty-thousand dollars in
federal taxes.
