Gasoline and Diesel Prices... Do you feel like you've been raped?

Do you have a choice? Can you just park your car and walk to work, or take public transportation? Most of us can NOT!

Pundits like Rush Limbaugh and others pooh-pooh the idea that speculators are driving the price of gas at the pump.

I just did a quick drive around my local area to see what the posted prices for regular gas are. Within a couple miles of where I am typing this from, the low price was $4.22 and the high price is $4.25. A couple weeks ago we had at some of these stations selling it for $4.12 so there has not been a huge amount of movement, but it has been upward regardless.

But have you noticed how prices shoot up overnight at the slightest hint of anything affecting oil, not just the supply? Speculation? Who is speculating?

When oil prices go down, gas prices stay up with hints that the overnight increased (gouge) price may slowly fall over the coming weeks.

Gas prices follow (and even anticipate) oil prices upward movement but not when they fall, so you figure out, is there gouging going on, and who is gouging who. Follow the money... who is making "record prifits" while the country suffers? It is not like we have a choice.

One thing is certain, our high gasoline prices are pleasing to the Democrat controlled congress. 10 years ago Der Schlickmeister vetoed oil exploration in ANWR and off the continental shelf when we could have been drilling and producing now. Now they say that we can't drill our way out of the current crisis. Yes we can but with the Democrats, everything is a crisis and it is pleasing to them They are happiest when the country is suffering.

A Time To Drill
By Paul M. Weyrich
July 9, 2008

Liberals have come up with two mantras which we hear on every talk show, in every press conference and in every speech addressing the high cost of gasoline.

[1] The first mantra is that it will take at least 10, maybe 30 years before we see a drop of oil coming from the ground at the aforementioned sites.

On the first point, correspondent Ken Wood pointed out that Larry Kudlow recently featured on his television show James T. Hackett, President and CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Company. Whereas some liberals are saying it could take 30 years for the oil to be available, Hackett said it would take two or three years, depending upon where the oil was drilled. Indeed, I saw one oil exploration expert on Fox News Channel who said that if the right equipment were available it would take only one year to get the first oil since the oil companies know exactly where the oil is located in the outer Continental Shelf. One oil shale expert told proponents of drilling in the House of Representatives that the first 800 million barrels of oil from shale could be available in two or three years. The remaining estimated two trillion barrels of oil from shale would take longer to have ready because they would be more difficult to extricate. But the initial 800 million barrels would help the U.S. economy.

[2] The second mantra is that greedy oil companies already have 86 million acres of leases provided by the Federal Government. They only want more leases to satisfy their greed.

On the second point, I received two different answers. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK), who used to be in the oil business, said the reason oil companies are not drilling on the 86 million acres is that there is no substantial oil available on those lands to make drilling economically viable. He said the government only permits exploration on those leased lands, so oil companies have explored them and found that they would produce little. The second answer came from Hackett. He said the federal government is, in effect, guilty of fraud. They accept the lease money and the annual rents but have refused to grant permission to drill there. He implied that some oil had been found that would be worthwhile to extract but since they cannot drill the consumer sees no benefits. Either way, to accuse oil companies of greed is an unfounded assertion.

The Pfleger to return to St. Sabina RCC

The flaming race baiter, supporter of abortionists, and abortion loving politicians, Michael Pfleger, is being allowed to return to Saint Sabina RCC by Cardinal George. [Kinda tells ya where the red hat's head is doesn't it? Makes you say "hmmmmm? Who bought a cardinal?" Just another politician...]

Below, italics are mine.

Rev. Pfleger to return to St. Sabina with 'no restrictions'

BY MARY WISNIEWSKI Staff reporter mwisniewski@suntimes.com

The South Side parish of St. Sabina exploded with shouts of joy and a standing ovation Sunday morning at the news firebrand Catholic pastor Rev. Michael Pfleger would be returning June 16.

Cardinal Francis George temporarily removed the outspoken priest from his parish last week following comments Pfleger made about then-presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Pfleger had said Clinton believed she was entitled to the Democratic nomination because she is white. Pfleger is white, while most of his parishioners are African-American.

Parish leaders were told by Cardinal George that Pfleger will continue as pastor of the church he has led for 30 years with "no restrictions" -- other than not being able to mention publicly the names of presidential candidates or campaign for them. [...besides it would take too long to break in a new racist for the job.]

[However, he can continue his race baiting unabated! I wonder if he ever told them that Planned Parenthood was formed by a racist Margaret Sanger to eliminate the black race? No, Pfleger is a front man, a stand up guy for abortion supporters like Obama.]

How effective is the Pfleger?

Two other parishioners, Rhonda Williams and Leslie Ross, who are not Catholic, said they would have left St. Sabina's and followed Pfleger to a new church if he had been removed. [No sweat, Chicago politician Cardinal George wouldn't do that. Besides the Churdh is short of priests, so even bad ones are needed.]

"I'm here because of the pastor, what he's done for me spiritually," Williams said.

Not effective enough to convert them though. Hey Mikey, do Rhonda and Leslie take communion at mass?

Random thoughts on a McCain presidency

McCain is a good imitation of a centrist Democrat, next to the center aisle... hey that is like his Republican position, left, up against the center where he can reach out to hug a fellow traveller! Expect temporary rightward shifts until after the election.

What can we expect if McCain is elected?

McCain is no conservative and will prove it once elected, a meld of "Brave New World" and "1984" [Surely you jest? No and dont call me Shirley!]

Four more years of Bush? Hah! People will look back on the Bush presidency as the "good old days" after McCain is done with the US

Tax cuts ala Bush... don't you believe it. It is a McCain campaign ploy to mollify weak conservatives [aka linguini spined moderates] - Remember politicians promise everything, deliver little on campaign promises

Gun control... tyrants fear an armed populace and what McCain plans will have people up in arms [Keep your powder dry and stock up now]

Further erosion of freedom of speech going beyond (McCain-Feingold) political speech. Expect attacks and restrictions on internet and talk radio to start.

An improved and expanded Terrorist Bill of Rights [The supreme court is already working on this in anticipation of McCain's election, giving terrorists more legal rights before federal courts than citizens have.]

Reparations for all Iraq and Afghanistan POWs from Club Gitmo and other compounds that claim to have been tortured [More Whacko McCain nuttiness, I wont speculate to what levels he will take this.]

A new as yet un-named CONSERVATIVE party as McCain drags down the Republican Party morphing it into the RINO Neo-Democrat Party

Joe Lieberman thumbing his nose at the Socialist Democrat Party from his VP office

Rick Davis as White House Chief of Staff [and still drawing a $110,000 a year consulting fee from Reform Institute/George Soros]

Billionaire George Soros will have a hotline installed to McCain [He funds McCain's Reform Institute]

Algore as Secretary of Global Climate Change [We know that McCain is a global warming whacko nutball.]

Dr Juan Hernandez as Secretary of Hispanic Affairs [dual citizen (US and Mexico) McCain campaign advisor and former advisor to Mexican El Presidente Vincente Fox. He will be laison and inside man for La Raza.]

Amnesty for all current illegals that can prove that they have been here for at least 30 minutes, with super-citizen status after a 10 second background check [ Habla ingles? Si? You are a citizen.]

McCain: "Borders? What borders?"

Elevation of the usage of words "illegal alien" to hate crime status

Other select cabinet positions (existing and new) for Democrat colleagues as a "reach across the aisle" gesture of friendship [Can't we all get along?]

Depending on how far McCain's insanity goes... Civil War [Really! McCain is Insane! So are those who want to give this escapee from the cuckoos nest the football.]

This election year, both parties are royally screwed, thus the country as a whole.

Obama Campaign Slogans...

Barack Says:

"That's not the Tony Rezko I Knew"

"That's not the Bill Ayers I knew"

"That's not the Reverend Wright I knew"

"That's not the Michael Pfleger I knew"

"That's not the Trinity UCC Church I knew"

Some random thoughts...

Where does the next revelation about Barack Hussein Obama come from. Hillary wants to know...

Remember when the Clintons slogan was "I can't recall..."?

Hmmmm... Neither Scrouis Louis Farakhan nor Al Sharpton have been heard from about Barack Hussein Obama lately. In fact the whole race pimp squad has been conspicuously absent in the past few weeks. They pushed a white Roman Catholic priest out front as the latest race baiting member of the squad.

Sounds like Barack Hussein needs a giant body condom to insulate him from everyone he knows before they infect his campaign any more.

That area under the campaign bus is getting pretty crowded.

I wonder if Cardinal George will try to slip The Pfleger quietly back into Saint Sabina RCC. Our Chicago correspondents will have to track this.

Is HilLarry angling for a Veep nod from Moebama? Moe had better keep a squad of food tasters, as the Clintons are really "HUNGRY" to retake the White House. Being Veep puts her one Obama heart beat away from the Oval Office [big IF... IF Obama wins]

Can HilLarry successfully muzzle Bill if she gets the Veep nod? Most of the betting money says NO.

How many months before McCain discovers that the McCain Democrats he thought he had are really Obama Democrats?

His surrogates at the RNC are starting to realize that conservatives are not flocking to McCain. When does panic set in?

When are our legislators going to allow drilling in ANWR and other locations put off limits by the tree huggers and caribou humpers?

Obama will listen to the tree huggers/caribou humpers, and it appears that McCain is an Algore global warming deacon so he is in the same camp.

Does oil have to hit $200 before the lynching parties start looking for legislators to hang for inaction on domestic drilling, nuclear power plants, etc.?

This years election amounts to a choice of two evils (Moe vs Curley) forcing people to start comparing down the ticket to decide which to vote for.

God help us if they have to get down to state races to decide.

The Fieger Precedent

Fieger had his day in court before a jury of his political peers and they say that even though he broke election law by reimbursing employees for campaign contributions, that he is "NOT GUILTY".

This sure looks like a decision that can be cited in the future.

So you have a candidate that you want to give $100,000 as a campaign contribution? Get some close friends to fork over and you just slip the cash back to them.

EASY, no sweat, NOT GUILTY, it is the...

Fieger Precedent

===

QUESTION: Were any of the jurors names on the petitions to put Fieger in any of the elective offices he has sought in recent past?

Oil and the Dollar, an interesting read

The "oil crisis" is nothing of the sort. The world is swimming in oil. Our crisis (political) is that we are controlled by corrupt politicians that will not allow recovery of oil on our own land, forcing us to rely on foreign sources. The "Hate Bush" crowd tries to say he is the cause, but the road blocks to domestic energy are nearly all on the Democrat side of the fence. As we have seen lately, McCain is of the squishy moderate side that wants to keep the US enslaved to foreign oil. McCain is also a pimp for Algore's "Global Warming Gestapo" which will further enslave the US to foreign interests.

Here is an enlightening read on the "falling" dollar and the runup of gas prices...

The Dollar and Oil — The Truth

Friday, May 30, 2008 8:21 AM

By: Max Whitmore

About a month or so ago, I wrote a column that was a tongue-in-cheek, fictional story that addressed the oil speculation that was going on at the time. Of course, that speculation is still going on. Well, this column is one where I am going to tell it like I see it, warts and all.

I have been in this business for over 40 years, as you all know by now, and I have seen a lot. Some of it has been very good and some of it has been very bad. I don’t count myself as having seen it all, but what I have seen helps me get to the bottom of problems in this business.

I want to address two much talked about topics, the dollar and oil. Both of these are the most misunderstood of all the current investing subjects out there that occupy financial print and talk space. Now, don’t get me wrong here. I don’t claim to be able to see every nook and cranny of these subjects. But, what I do see are the elements that repeat the oldest scams around.

The Dollar

The most overused phrase today is the one that says “the dollar is declining fast and is in deep trouble.” The first implication is that the dollar needs to go much higher and fast. The second implication is that the dollar is out of control and about to fall off a cliff to oblivion. The third implication is that the Fed...

And [here] is another fascinating read on what is happening to the dollar from a trader [a bit technical but interesting nonetheless]. The comment section is a hoot.

Supreme Court Rules Against Bush and Foreign Court

Track Back- http://haloscan.com/tb/jrfoleyjr/1100

Bush wants to stop the state of Texas from executing an illegal alien gang member [a member of the Bush Cartel?] who was convicted of the rape and murder of two teenage girls (ages 14 and 16). The Bush contention is that it violates a Geneva Convention and he wants to use this to trump and over rule US Courts. The US Supreme Court sided with the Texas Courts. Only three of the Supreme Court members sided with Bush against the USA: Breyer, Ginsberg, and Stevens (the usual leftist suspects).

Court backs Texas in dispute with Bush

By Mark Sherman, AP Writer - March 27, 2008

WASHINGTON — Texas can ignore President Bush and an international court in refusing to reopen the case of a Mexican on death row for rape and murder, the Supreme Court said Tuesday.

The court said Bush exceeded his authority when he tried to intervene on behalf of Jose Ernesto Medellin, facing the death penalty for killing two teenagers nearly 15 years ago.

By a 6-3 vote, the court said Texas does not have to give a new hearing to death row prisoner Jose Ernesto Medellin, a former Houston gang member who is now 33.

White House press secretary Dana Perino said Bush was disappointed with the decision and is now reviewing it to see how it might impact international relations.

A Texas prosecutor whose office won a conviction against Medellin said she would ask for an execution date to be set as soon as the high court resolves a separate case over a challenge to lethal injection procedures. The court also could dispose of the cases of seven other Mexicans on death row in Texas as early as Monday.

Chief Justice Roberts, in the unfamiliar role of limiting presidential power, said the international court decision cannot be forced upon the states.

The president may not "establish binding rules of decision that pre-empt contrary state law," Roberts said. "Neither does the treaty, by itself, require individual states to take action", he said.

Breyer, joined by Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and David Souter, said the international court judgment should be enforced. [ed: Ever the good little globalist socialists, they seek ways to undermine US Law and put us under international rule on the road to the socializing of America.]

Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, who argued the state's case at the high court, said the decision "categorically prohibits foreign courts from undermining American sovereignty and independence."

The case is Medellin v. Texas, 06-984.

Attention Hillary: I nominate Debbie Stabenow for your Veep

Now that Debbie has joined the Philandering Husband Club, she can sympathize with Hillary and her cheatin' horn dog, der Schlickmeister.

Maybe they can play it for the synpathy vote...

Naw, never work out on the streets of reality. Sympathy is right between shit and syphillis in the street lexicon dictionary.

Stabenow's husband could be called as witness against prostitute

by: Alexa Stanard

Thursday (04/03) at 08:20 AM

A sex scandal has thrust another prominent Michigan politician into the unwanted limelight -- only this time, the politician is a woman and it's the spouse that's got some explaining to do.

Tom Athans, 46, the husband of U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, was snagged by Troy police during a prostitution sting Feb. 26, it was revealed Wednesday.

The co-founder and former CEO of Democracy Radio and former executive vice president of the liberal Air America radio network was stopped by undercover officers after leaving a room at the Residence Inn, where he paid 20-year-old prostitute Alycia Martin $150 for oral sex, according to the police report.

Stabenow, a prominent Democrat who is two years into her current six-year term in the Senate, said in a statement that the report that her husband had paid a prostitute for sex "is very disturbing and serious. Obviously it's a deeply difficult and personal matter."

Athans, who married Stabenow in 2003, on Wednesday issued his own statement that said: "No words can fully express how sorry I am. At the time this incident occurred, I took responsibility for my actions and fully cooperated with law enforcement. My family and I are dealing with this matter in a personal and private way."

["No words can fully express how sorry I am..." said Tom Athans. - Yeah, that he got caught! Now he gets to face the wrath of Debbie!]

Police did not arrest Athans, who quickly agreed to cooperate after police pulled him over on northbound I-75 just north of Square Lake Road. Troy Police Lt. Gerard Scherlinck said the department typically does not arrest johns who agree to cooperate, in the hopes of busting prostitution rings and nabbing those who run them.

"This individual was completely cooperative, completely honest," he said in reference to Athans. "This person was treated no differently than any other individual that would have been stopped during one of these investigations."

After nabbing Athans, the department published information about the incident in its daily crime sheet, but without names, Scherlinck said.

"Then all of a sudden yesterday afternoon we got numerous calls based on tips," he said. "We were not the source of this story. Our position needs to be really clear - we didn't divulge any names or relationships."

The police report was released in response to Freedom of Information Act requests by the media. Under FOIA, the public has the right to information about the case because it's considered closed, Scherlinck said.

Athans will be called as a witness if the matter goes to trial. Martin has been arraigned. After being released, Troy police issued Athans a ticket for driving with a suspended license.

[VERY interesting... he was picked up in a prostitution sting and driving on a suspended license, and he only gets a harsh word as a penalty by agreeing to give a critique of the whores oral prowess. Who knows, the prosecutor may want to make an appointment later? Just goes to show that political connections rule in the state of Michigan, especially if your frau is a US Senartor.]

The $350 million liberal warchest for the presidential election

Either Hillary or Barack will be a beneficiary of this fund.

The remaining question: Will McCain attempt to pander to the liberals that brought him to the prom for a piece of the action? McCain is a proven political whore. His only moves toward conservatives is to try to claim membership as a conservative while blowing us off as extremists. This is simply an attempt to hijack the conservative movement brand for himself.

Looking at some of the fund participants: Several of Little Johnny's buddies from the 2006-2007 attempts at amnesty (La Raza, AFL-CIO).

From the Weekend NewsMax Enewsletter:

Liberal Groups Plan $350 Million Election Effort

A coalition of liberal organizations announced plans Tuesday for "the most expensive mobilization in history this election season."

MoveOn.org, Rock the Vote, Acorn, National Council of La Raza, Women's Voices Women Vote Action Fund, and the AFL-CIO announced plans for a $350 million initiative for the 2008 elections at the Take Back America conference in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the liberal Campaign for America's Future.

Robert Borosage, co-director of the Campaign for America's Future, called it a "sea change election," one that “we really haven't seen since 1980 when Reagan was elected and conservatives really changed the course of our country for the next three decades."

Borosage said the initiative would focus on voter registration, education and get out the vote drives, Cybercast News Service reported.

"Needless to say, the stakes can't be higher," said Karen Ackerman, political director at the AFL-CIO. "Working families desperately need a new direction after years of failed policies designed to benefit the privileged few at the expense of the rest of us."

The AFL-CIO is contributing two-thirds of the money for the initiative. Ackerman called it the "most aggressive and ambitious grass-roots organization effort in history."

"The union vote will be key on Nov. 4," Ackerman said. She also noted that one in four votes is from a union household. Ackerman's group is working to mobilize more than 13 million union voters.

Page Gardiner, president of Women's Voices Women Vote Action Fund, said her group would be targeting 1.3 million newly registered voters and 7 million other voters for turnout, particularly unmarried women.

Gardiner said this cycle is the first time unmarried women are an equal share of the electorate to married women.

"Unmarried women will be to progressives what evangelicals have been" to the Republican Party, she said.

Ilyse Hogue, communications director for MoveOn.org, noted that they will focus not only on the White House but also on electing 60 Democrats to the Senate.

Larry Hart, director of government relations at the American Conservative Union, however, told Cybercast News Service that the coalition would have a "marginal effect."

===

MoveOn.org is listed as one of the participants. I can't believe that the rest of the MoveOnKoSoroStryker axis would not want a piece of this action.

This has been and will be Mexico - Alberto Lozano

Cross posted from VDare.com

http://blog.vdare.com/ archives/ 2008/03/ 15/this-has-been-and-will-be-mexico/

15 March 2008

"This Has Been And Will Be Mexico"

[Allan Wall] @ 10:11 am [Email author[Email This Article]  [Print This Article]

Alberto Lozano, a very smug spokesman for the Mexican Consulate in San Diego, told Minutemen demonstrators (on March 13th) that "This has been and will be Mexico."
You can see it here on YouTube.

So was Lozano referring to the Mexican consulate itself as being Mexican territory, in accordance with the common (though incorrect) idea that a consulate or embassy is foreign territory?

That interpretation wouldn’t make sense even if the consulates-as-foreign-territory idea were true. If it were, Spokesman Lozano would have said "This consulate is Mexican territory". But he didn’t, he said "This has been and will be Mexico" which sounds exactly like reconquista talk. And it’s certainly not diplomatic.
If this happened in a country whose leaders respected the sovereignty of their nation, this guy would have been expelled. The Consul in San Diego and the Mexican Ambassador in Washington would have been called to account.

Of course, that would be in a country whose leaders respected their nation’s sovereignty, as opposed to ours.

[ed: ...if we had anyone other than a balless El Presidente Jorge Bush. As his legacy, he is trying to convert the US into a territory of Mexico. This is apparently OK with the State Department because Condi IS balless. We know that this is perfectly okay with a majority of the US Senate as nearly all members from the past two years attempts at amnesty are still present. Carl Levin certainly is! Obama and Reverend Wright - The Rev is like an Uncle

Obama told MSNBC that he would not repudiate Wright as a man, describing him as "like an uncle" who says something that he disagrees with and must speak out against. He also said he expects his political opponents will use video of the sermons to attack him as the campaign goes on.

So Barack Hussein Obama will just give him a slap on the wrist and tell him to go to the back of the bus. In the 20 years since Wright brought Obama to this version of Christianity, Barack claims to have never heard any of the racism spewed by Reverend Wright.

Words from the pulpit of the racist Reverend Wright:

"We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon, and we never batted an eye," Wright said. "We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought right back to our own front yards. America's chickens are coming home to roost."

and

"The government gives them the drugs, builds bigger prisons, passes a three-strike law and then wants us to sing 'God Bless America.' No, no, no, God damn America, that's in the Bible for killing innocent people. God damn America for treating our citizens as less than human. God damn America for as long as she acts like she is God and she is supreme."

and

"Barack knows what it means to be a black man to be living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. Hillary can never know that. Hillary ain't never been called a nigger."

Suggestions that these old words are no longer operative are met with the argument that if former members of other racist regimes are tarred with that brush for life, how can he escape it? Through the forgiveness of political convenience? Go and do no political sins in public?

Easy... the Democrats will always excuse one of their own.

It all comes back to roost on the fact that to be a good socialist Democrat you must be totally amoral. A good socialist Democrat that claims to be a christian (notice the lower case, it is indicative) worships a savior known as jesus the homosexual abortionist. It can be the only explanation for their slavish devotion to abortion as their high sacrament and homosexuality as a vehicle to worship. A HUGE number of liberals and moderates in the Republican party also attend and worship this same savior. This explains how the Republican party has been lead astray from the conservative fold.

Question: What is the Reverend Wright's religious position on abortion? What does he preach on the subject?

Has he ever used any of his vitriol to mention how Planned Parenthood was formed as a vehicle using abortion to rid the USA of blacks by a very racist Margaret Sanger?

Friday, the United Church of Christ issued a 1,400-word statement defending Wright (this has to include his racist rantings)!

"It's time for all of us to say no to these attacks and to declare that we will not allow anyone to undermine or destroy the ministries of any of our congregations in order to serve their own narrow political or ideological ends," John H. Thomas, United Church of Christ's president.

[ed: There, now you know where UCC stands! Hmmm... Barack surrounds himself with all sorts. I wonder if his wife is proud of Reverend Wright? She certainly was not proud of the USA.]

Conservatives to McCain: Long past wake up time...

...and almost time to "check out".

We are not waiting for you. If you want us, you will have to come calling with more than a pretty mouth. You are going to have to do a lot more than talking the talk since we have witnessed you mincing along with the socialist side of the aisle. Up to now, your dance card has always been filled with your socialist suitors.

To those party weenies that are totally party-first, being a conservative means holding principles that are not compromised for the sake of party unity. It means that a conservative may NOT necessarily be a Republican since the Republican party has abandoned conservatism for pragmatic centrism.

Conservatism is what took back control of Congress after decades of near-hereditary Imperial Democrat rule.

Conservatism is what put "Ronaldus Magnus Maximus" Reagan in the White House with landslide victories.

FOR RELEASE March 13, 2008

Richard Viguerie: Loss of Hastert Seat is Proof Conservatives

Are Prepared to Sit Out This Year's Elections

...It's a wakeup call for John McCain...

(Manassas, Virginia) - Republicans' loss of the House seat held for two decades by former Speaker Dennis Hastert is "proof that conservatives are prepared to sit out the 2008 elections," Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com, said.

"Instead of contributing and volunteering, conservatives are closing their checkbooks and staying home.  Liberals and Democrats are enthusiastic to a degree not seen in decades, and grassroots conservatives are sitting on their hands," Viguerie said.

"This is a wakeup call for John McCain.  Since securing the nomination, he has done nothing significant to reach out to the conservatives who provide the vast majority of the volunteers for the Republican Party in every election.  Senator McCain, and all the candidates on the ballot with him, will pay the price in November."

[ed: What has McCain done? He has reserved a small patch of skin on the left cheek of his ass that he expects conservatives to come crawling to kiss. It wont work that way this time Little Johnny. You want us, not the other way around. ]

In fact, Viguerie said, "The farther we go down this road, the longer it will take to repair the relationship between conservatives and the Republican Party.  The damage that's being done now will affect the party for years to come."

In the race for the Hastert seat, the Republican nominee, Jim Oberweis - the handpicked choice of the GOP Establishment - reportedly had difficulty getting enough volunteers.  The Chicago Tribune reported that, when the primary runner-up, conservative State Senator Chris Lauzen, declined to endorse Oberweis, "his decision not to endorse Oberweis sidelined a potent grassroots organization that could have helped the Republican candidate."

So strapped for volunteers was the Oberweis campaign that, according to the newspaper The Hill, Republicans turned to congressional interns in Washington to make calls for Oberweis.

The defeat shows that the Republican Party's current political strategy is fundamentally flawed.  Said Viguerie: "Rather than running on the issues, Republican leaders continue to try to buy elections by earmarking and pork-barreling and special-interest spending, by using taxpayers' own money to try to buy elections."

Viguerie noted a Hastert aide's comment regarding the billions of taxpayers' dollars he was willing to spend to save the seat of Representative Clay Shaw in 2000. "We knew" the control of the House "could come down to two seats," a Hastert aide recalled, "and if that meant we had to spend $8 billion for Mr. Shaw, that's what we were going to do."

"The more earmarks, the angrier conservatives get.  They see Republican leaders corruptly, immorally spending our children's and grandchildren's inheritance, trying to buy elections.  And they're fed up.

"Pork barrel spending," Viguerie said, "has turned to ashes in the mouths of the Republican leadership."

Gasoline over $3 a gallon and a veritable SEA of oil...

Canadian Oil No Good for U.S.?

Tuesday, March 11, 2008 9:25 AM

By: Newsmax.com

t might come as a surprise that the country with the largest oil reserves is not Saudi Arabia, Iran or Venezuela, but Canada.

Yet America’s No. 1 trading partner is concerned that the U.S. doesn’t want its oil.

Canada has an estimated 1.6 trillion barrels of oil on its territory. Saudi Arabia has an estimated 270 billion barrels. But much of Canada’s oil is locked in tough-to-extract tar sands in the province of Alberta.

Canada’s government recently sent U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates a letter warning that it might not be able to sell the U.S. any of the oil America needs for national defense, according to the Financial Times of London.

The reason: The Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, which was passed with “great gusto and self-righteousness by the Democratic Congress,” an editorial in Investor’s Business Daily (IBD) observes.

Under the Act, tar sands are considered an alternative fuel, and the law requires oil sold to the U.S. government from alternative sources to emit fewer greenhouse gases than oil produced from conventional sources.

The Democrats try to make much political hay out of the rising gas prices when the root causes of the high prices can be directly traced to their actions. The big question: Will McCain side with his friends across the aisle or will he go with citizens. He has already betrayed us on so many fronts that we really expect him to shaft us on energy too.

Democrat Angst: How to get Michigan Primary Votes to count?

I have been giving this some thought and have a solution!

They could hold the election through Ticketmaster and celebrate the results with a concert (entertainers and location to be announced).

A few liberal billionaires will love this. They can then directly buy votes for their favorite candidates. The Democrats have been looking for ways to buy votes. Here it is! This is called voting your wallet. Unless Jon Stryker buys them all up, do you think this could cause the lowest vote total in Michigan history?

McCain is about to lose his MSM suitors

The courtship of Little Johnny McCain to be half of the MSM wet dream is now as insubstantial as a soap bubble and ready to burst.

The socialists in the MSM have chosen a new player for their affections named B. Hussein Obama.

Little Johnny would do well to pay close attention to the MSM's treatment of the wicked witch of the east, Hillary Rodham-Clinton.

The favorable face time before network cameras of the socialist MSM is about to end for Little Johnny. "Your suitors are wearing running shoes and are ready to sprint off to support B. Hussein Obama." That bump you felt was not a pot hole in the road. It was Hillary being tossed under the bus. It will only get rougher from here on out, John. Your liberal supporters are leaving in favor of B. Hussein Obama. John, you are about to be jilted and there will be no "Dear John" letter.

Maybe a bouquet of a dozen wilted roses sent to you via DeadFlowers.com?

From David Limbaugh/NewsMax.com comes this article:

McCain, Take Note on Media Treatment of Hillary

Friday, February 29, 2008 9:03 AM

By: David Limbaugh

Memo to former mainstream-media darling John McCain: I hope you are paying close attention to the MSM's palpable favoritism toward Barack Obama because we haven't seen anything yet. You think The New York Times was an exception? Just wait.

I urge you to review the tape of the Ohio Democratic debate from Tuesday night.

In one sequence after another, Brian Williams and Tim Russert took proactive roles in the debate, playing "gotcha" mostly against Hillary Clinton instead of facilitating a debate between the candidates.

So what? [more]

Democrats in the US House vote to raise gas prices

Are you unhappy with what it costs you to put a tank full of gas in your car? It will go much higher thanks to Pelosi and Company in the US House of Representatives. This report comes from GopUsa.com. Read on...

House OKs New Taxes on Big Oil Companies

By H. JOSEF HEBERT
Associated Press
February 28, 2008
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The House approved $18 billion in new taxes on the largest oil companies Wednesday as Democrats cited record oil prices and rising gasoline costs in a time of economic troubles.

This is a back door way for the government to pass a tax on YOU, because you know that the oil companies will just pass along any tax increase to you. Do not let them use weasel words to try to act all surprized that you are being hurt by those nasty oil companies raising prices.

Barack Hussein Obama - Friend of Israel?

A simple question that I have not heard asked of the Democrats in this campaign year (so far)... What is your position on support of Israel? Was it asked and I missed it due to inattention? I am fairly sure that Hillary would support Israel but I cant say the same for Barack Hussein Obama.

Some factions have made noise about Obama's first training being in a Muslim madrassa, but that he belongs to a Christian church now. In Muslim circles that is a heresy and a cause for a death sentence. Was he given a dispensation from Islam by the mullahs? Is there a Muslim hit squad looking for him now? Or is his membership in a Christian church simply camoflage?

To Barack Obama... What are your feelings and political leanings on support of Israel and all it stands for?

This is a VERY fair question to ask of a man who would be the leader of the free world from the office of the President of the United States.

It is time to find out where Barack Obama stands in his own words and convictions concerning an ally of the USA in the middle east, Israel.

===

It is also time to note that the Hollywood Lefties are composed largely of actors of Jewish descent. A very large proportion of the New York Jewish community are also liberal Democrats. Who do you suppose they will be voting for in the upcoming presidential election? There has been no mention of them flocking to support Hillary.

ps: The liberals are trying to intimidate us into believing that use of a given middle name is a slur and is politically incorrect. So what if Baracks whole name screams the connotation of marching to a different drummer. It has been his choice to use it as a political tool thus far.

Barack Hussein Obama (socialist Democrat)

John Forbes Kerry (socialist Democrat)

John Fitzgerald Kennedy (Democrat, before socialist takeover)

yada yada yada... all the middle name connotes is an extra identifier, not political persuasion.

Little Johnny Two-Face speaks out both sides of his head

He co-authors anti-first amendment legislation taking away citizens free political speech but has lobbyists as staffers and campaign advisors.

He has an pro-amnesty and open borders advisor (Juan Hernandez) that was on the staff of Mexican President Vincente Fox. His campaign manager(Rick Davis) is president of his Soros and Heinz-Kerry funded Reform Institute and several other staffers also have drawn paychecks from there.

Does anyone REALLY believe that Juan McCain is a conservative?

McCain defends lobbyist ties

No link because Yahoo News links are crapola.

By LIBBY QUAID, AP Writer

INDIANAPOLIS - Sen. John McCain said Friday that while lobbyists serve as close advisers to his presidential campaign, they are honorable and he is not influenced by corruption in the system.

No, McCain reserves all the corruption for himself.

McCain, who has styled himself as an enemy of special interests, defended having lobbyists working for his campaign.

How do you think he was able come back from nowhere to be the leader. He has all the corrupt connections via his Soros funded Corruption Reform Institute.

"These people have honorable records, and they're honorable people, and I'm proud to have them as part of my team," McCain told reporters.

Of course the reporters will not ask McCain about his Soros/Heinz-Kerry connection at this time.

Frist: Democrat Iceberg Approaching

In today's email comes a note from former senator and RINO panderer, Bill Frist (VOLPAC), warning that the Democrat iceberg is coming to sink the GOP Titanic, the unsinkable.

Here is my reply to him sent in email:

Bill,

Isn't it wonderfull how successfull you were in your vote suppression tactics back before the midterm election??? You have so angered the conservative base that the party is going down the tubes.

Thanks a hell of a lot Bill. You guys thought you were sailing the unsinkable Titanic or something and could just do as you pleased.

A runaway train better illustrates what had become of the Republicans in the senate under Frist leadership. Nothing changed after you turned over the controls. The RINOs were just as adamant for amnesty and tried again.

When you were the "majority" leader, you lead the party into the sewer with your abject pandering to illegal alien criminals along with your buddies, McCain, Hagel, Brownback, Martinez, and more. Now McCain thinks that the coming train wreck will force conservatives to kiss his ass. Wrong!

You panderers will never get anything right and that is why we must get all of you out of office.

The Iseman cometh...

...to cast a cold shroud over the McCain campaign. Today, Little Johnny had Cindy Lou stand at his side to deny any inappropriate actions or conduct with the Iseman (Vicki).

The report surfaced in The New York Times (aka: Pravda-US), a real bastion of liberalism and an official media outlet of the DNC politburo (MoveOnKoSoroStryker). The Iseman is Vicki Iseman, a telecommunications lobbyist. The report alleges inappropriate conduct back in 2000 during a previous McCain campaign.

There has been mention of Little Johnny being "swift boated" in various forums and blogs.

The Swift Boat Veterans told the TRUTH about John Kerry, so the term means to broadcast the truth.

What has been broadcast about McCain is unsubstantiated bull excrement at this time.

This has the smell of another Clinton smear attack.

(Or could this be a sympathy ploy by the McCain camp to try to whip up support from conservatives for Little Johnny for being wrongfully accused?)
