NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico — Texas officials cleared
the way Monday for the execution of Jose Medellin, one of 51 Mexican
nationals on U.S. death row, for his role with five other members of a
Houston gang in the 1993 murder and rape of two teenage girls.
The
Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles on Monday rejected Medellin's request
for a reprieve. Medellin, 33, is scheduled to die by lethal injection at
6 p.m. CDT today.

— As he awaits execution Tuesday for the brutal rape and murder of two
Houston teenagers 15 years ago...
Allison Castle, a spokeswoman
for the governor, "This is an individual who along with five others
brutally and viciously gang-raped, stomped, kicked, slashed, strangled
and murdered two young teenage girls. We don’t care where you’re from.
If you commit a despicable crime like this in Texas, you’ll face the
ultimate penalty under our laws."
"Jose Medellin is nothing
more than a poster boy for the death penalty," said Jennifer’s father,
Randy Ertman, who now lives in a country residence near Somerville with
Sandra, his wife of more than 30 years. "He’s been on Death Row longer
than Jennifer was alive."
The execution is scheduled for
after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Medellin, 33, has declined the customary last meal
and nearly all media requests for interviews, said Michelle Lyons,
spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

One of Houston's most notorious killers is set to die on Tuesday. And

On
June 24, 1993, then-18-year-old Medellín and six other young men
gathered in a Houston park for a fight that served as an initiation rite
into the Black and White gang. After the fight was over, the teenagers
were walking along a set of nearby railroad tracks when they passed two
young girls, 14-year-old Jennifer Ertman and 16-year-old Elizabeth Peña.
The boys grabbed them; the two girls were raped multiple times,
strangled, and left for dead.
Hanging should still be available
for executing criminals!

An illegal alien murderer was executed today at approximately 6:00 PM C.D.T.

The Obamessiah and Bush Derangement Syndrome
The Obamessiah is still touring and blessing his faithfull acolytes and converts. This is bringing showers of money from those who hope to vote for him in November. He is raking in cash from people who can not be held accountable because they are not living inside the borders of the USA. FEC says Obamessiah's collection plates have brought in over a million that they know of. When the Clintons sought cash from the Chinese and other foreign sources, those were below the radar and I would bet that Obama cash handlers have plenty of that brand of action too. Here is an excerpted (and commented by me - comments in italics) report from one of Obamessiah's press release distributions, AP via:
http://www.620ktar.com/index.php?nid=46&sid=909813&r=1
Obama beats McCain in Europe donations
July 25th, 2008
By GREGORY KATZ AP Writer (and Obama Spear Carrier)
LONDON (AP) - Barack Obama's campaign has received roughly 10 times more money from declared U.S. donors living in Germany, France and Britain than his Republican rival... as he makes his first tour of the continent as the presumed...(ed: [] Democrat nominee [] Messiah of the world.)
Federal Election Commission reports show Obama has raised at least $1 million... The European totals include contributions of $200 or more from each individual as election laws do not require campaigns to itemize lesser amounts. So it's possible Obama has received money from smaller donors... (ed: who are not US citizens and not US registered voters). (ed: How is the FEC able to closely track this on contributions made in foreign countries? Are the Obamessiah acolytes counting the collection plate and giving a daily tally to the FEC?)
Obama's many backers in Europe say they are motivated by a yearning for America to once again be viewed with respect by the rest of the world. (ed: This means that they want us to join the growing number of countries under socialist rule to become a World Union of Socialist Republics.)
The disparity between the two candidates underscores the Democratic candidate's appeal on a continent where Obamamania seems to have taken hold of expatriates and Europeans alike.
Obama has been much more sophisticated about Internet usage, and when you live overseas that's the easiest way to contribute. (ed: The internet makes election year fraud much easier to do and harder to trace. Thank Algore.)
Each donor is permitted to give a maximum of $2,300 for each election, but since the primaries are regarded as a separate election, a person can make two separate donations of $2,300 before the general election in November. While some gave the maximum, others made contributions in the $10 and $25 range.
(ed: This kinda makes you sit back and say "hmmmmm" as you ponder the fact that now we have the Fieger Precedent. Geoffy was able to get underlings and associates to donate large sums of cash (over $100,000) to Democrat causes and then reimburse them to disguise the source. This was held to be legal by a jury of HIS peers. Thus we have the Fieger Precedent for a way for Democrats to mask large cash contributions.)
Only U.S. citizens are permitted to contribute to presidential campaigns. (ed: But in light of the Fieger Precedent, that is no barrier to the Democrats.)
===
What is driving the soul deep yearning for the Obamessiah here and overseas? Three words describe it best: Bush Derangement Syndrome
BDS - The expressed naked hatred of Bush and that fear of a McCain presidency as Bush 3. Flip the coin and an Obamessiah presidency is Jimmy Carter 2. I say he would be MUCH WORSE. He doesn't have a brother Billy Bob, which would at least give some comic relief (Remember Billy Beer?)
Europeans are being given a chance to express the BDS and possibly get a vote if the Dems can figure a way to manufacture enough fake expatriate voter registrations to allow for absentee ballots for all of them. Be alert for them to try to block ballots from overseas serving airmen, soldiers, sailors, and marines.
We have illegal aliens here who managed to get registered before the drivers license/motor voter easy portal to voter registration was clamped down. We have heard an estimate that up to 3% of the vote is illegals and it is enough to sway the results one way or the other. In this years election it almost doesn't matter because both sides are belly crawling panderers to illegals, and will give legal status to these criminals. I just want to block the illegal vote.
How will the illegals, that have managed to register to vote, accomplish the deed this year? Absentee Ballots, now that they are registered they can vote where no one can challenge their vote. The absentee ballot is the means that Democrats use to manufacture graveyard votes, pet registration votes, New England-Florida Snowbird votes. They are endlessly creative at ways to defraud the voting public. The absentee ballot offers the easiest means to manufacture large numbers of fraudulent votes. Electronic, non-paper, voting machines are right in the mix now that butterfly ballots are no longer used.

Health Care For Illegals - Part and Parcel of Obama and McCain Amnesty Dreams
Remember back to the big panderfests of the 2006-2007 legislative years when our elected representatives were clawing and scratching to see who could grovel the lowest before the illegals. Senate Bill 2611 was one of the results. We have the list of all those who voted for it. Obama and McCain are on the list. Both voted to give social security to illegals. The votes are part of public record. Obama and McCain are on record voting to give fake background checks to illegals, then allowing them to stay with benefits without having to wait for citizenship.
On this topic when you point a finger at one candidate, you must include the other.

Obama: Healthcare for Illegals
Nobody wants to die waiting in line - especially not behind someone who snuck in ahead of us.
Excerpts from the article by Dick Morris and Eileen McGann
posted: Monday, July 21, 2008 9:06 PM
Democrats' single most important domestic proposal — universal health insurance — may blow up in Barack Obama's face when voters are exposed to the deadly details.
Obama has said, proudly and often, "I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage." But are they "Americans?"
That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants, who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally.
Care for illegals is the biggest unmet medical need in our nation, and Obama's program targets it squarely. But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes? (...and as McCain also hopes? He is letting Obama be the lightning rod, but he too holds this as a fervent desire.)

McCain and Obama shared dreams = amnesty and other liberal issues
McCain has decided to forego support of conservatives as we would polute the purity of his Republican Neo-Democrats, the support coalition that has fueled his campaign to be the figurehead of the ex-GOP, now RND.
On the other hand, The DNC has issued a call to their party weedroots faithfull to help write the party platform. There are some 600 or so platform committees across the country. Does anyone seriously believe that the Socialist Democrats will actually listen to Joe Sixpack about what he wants? Rush Limbaugh has just issued new orders for Operation Chaos operatives to join the fun.
This truly is a strange campaign year. McCain has done all in his power to push away conservatives including the religious right. Obama, supporter of homosexuality and abortion, is trying to convince Christians that he is also a Christian and wants them to vote for him. Unfortunately there are a sizable number of Christians that are politically ignorant sheeples who do not look past the surface appearance. They will vote for Obama because Rev. Pfleger, the pro-abortion Catholic priest of the Chicago diocese's Saint Sabina RCC, and other liberal pseudo-Christian reverends says to vote this way. The Cardinal of Chicago turns a blind eye to most of this activity in his backyard.
Amnesty for criminal border jumpers, drug dealers and mules, and terrorist OTMs is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip with Senator Kennedy. McCain and Obama passed the terrorist bill of rights with affirmative votes from Senators Clinton and Lieberman (and a majority of Socialist Democrat senators), which would fit in with a general amnesty for all illegals, if enacted. McCain and Obama voted to give away social security (which is already going broke) to illegals. McCain is travelling the same road with Kennedy, Feingold, and other Socialist Democrats. McCain is the secret weapon of the socialist Democrats in this election. McCain holds hands with Algore in his quest for global dominion, forcing everyone to start riding bicycles so the elites can have all the fuel for their jets. Obama is a YES MAN for this issue. If elected, McCain will take over the global warming issue as his own. Fortunately, McCain is so old that he cant ride that horse for many years without a pact with the devil.
Senator Obama is right in there trying to show how socialist he is, voting for everything pushed his way by the Socialist Democrat party. He wants to remind everyone of his street agitator/organizer roots in Chicago. In the Illinois legislature, he was preparing for higher office, voting "present" over 70% of the time rather than leave a back trail to look at. Senator Obama is 100% pro-abortion and is lauded for this by the National Abortion Rights Action League.
That is, for what change is left in your pockets...
Will we reward either Obama or McCain? Apparently the answer is YES.
Below is a pictorial essay about the criminals they both want to convert into citizens, voters, and social security recipients..
AZTLAN as El Presidente Jorge Bush, Juan McCain, and Eduardo Kennedy have envisioned it. See the moebius strip flag showing that the US and Mexico are one and the same.

Mexican demonstrator burning the stars and stripes. This is the kind of display to make any US military veterans blood boil... except for McCain, Kerry, Murtha, and members of the pander squad.
You convinced me... I can't go without my daily burrito fix!
This is the McCain and Obama vision of America, cheered on by El Presidente Jorge Bush. Both need a new underclass to dominate.
Citisenship for a CHEAP price, more than made up in benefits (food stamps, free health care, lower in-state college tuition rates, free public schools in language of choice, much more...) once criminal illegals are given legal status.
This is the McCain dream for America!
This is the Barack Hussein Obama dream for America!
===
This pictorial essay is just a reminder of what the real John McCain will attempt to foist on us once he is firmly seated in the White House. Obama will do this and more...
Thus far, McCain has refused any form of a "no amnesty pledge", and he has very carefully avoided it when asked, by saying that he is now for secure borders because he heard us and thinks that will satisfy our demands. No one thought to ask Obama to sign because he is hardcore socialist and his signature would be a lie anyway.

2008: The Year of the Liberal
This election year, we have seen it solidify into a choice of Ultra-Left Winger Obama against Soft Left Winger McCain, both with funding coming from George Soros through various 527 channels. The DNC is now wholely owned and operated by the socialists and the takeover of the GOP is nearly complete. The GOP is being transformed into the RND (The New Deal Republicans also known as the Republican Neo-Democrats).
In celebration I suggest we have a rousing chorus of the McCain Litany that I published back in January 2008.
The McCain Litany (of reasons why he is not a conservative)
By James Foley "Bloggin on down the Rogue"
[note: The choir sings the refrain and the cantor sings the verses. The rest of the population can hum along.]
Refrain: [repeated after each verse]
"I am a war hero so you can't cri-ti-cize me"
Verses:
"John McCain...
- ...has built a reputation as a maverick by stabbing his party in the back...
... and his acolyte toadies say he is conservative. [refrain]
- ...delights in sticking it to his colleagues while winning accolades from the mainstream liberal media...
- ...defenders forbid us from criticizing him because he is a war hero...
- ...joined liberals in slandering the truth-telling Swift Boat veterans as "dishonest and dishonorable"...
- ...changed his position on immigration to shore up support in South Carolina, then after that primary arrogantly denied to Sean Hannity that he'd flip-flopped...
- ...crusades against Guantanamo...
- ...favors constitutional rights for terrorists but opposes tough interrogation techniques...
- ...was the ringleader of the Gang of 14...
- ...legitimized the filibustering of judicial nominees...
- ...is the godfather of political speech-suppression and Democrat-favoring campaign-finance reform legislation [McCain-Feingold]...
- ...has displayed contempt for conservative evangelicals...
- ...co-sponsored the abominable McCain-Kennedy illegal immigrant-forgiveness/open-borders/Social Security zapping bill...
- ...voted for the Specter amendment, to confer consulting rights on Mexico concerning the erection of a southern border fence...
- ...sold out on global warming...
- ...opposed reversal of Roe vs. Wade...
- ...took campaign contributions and vacation trips to lobby bank regulators for Charles Keating...
- ...has a campaign staff paid for by George Soros through the Soros funded Reform Institute...
- ...surrounds himself with New Deal Republican Neo-Democrats...
- ...says "Concervatives? I dont need not steenkin' conservatives!"...
- ...only has to look over his left shoulder to Joe Lieberman for a VP running mate...
- ...promised La Raza Hispanic leaders in Chicago that if elected, he would give amnesty for all illegal aliens...
- ...is a more centrist version of socialist messiah Barack Hussein Obama...
- ...opposed the Bush tax cuts before he supported them...
- ...supported tougher anti-gun laws before he opposed them...
- ...voted for and supports Social Security for illegal aliens...
... and his acolyte toadies say he is conservative." [Refrain]
===
note: I used my editorial powers to revise and extend the McCain Litany. It is becoming a living document.
note: I added in the last verse about McCain's participation in the Keating 5 bank scandal because it also shows how he was closely tied to Democrats while taking large cash contributions plus vacations and jet trips from Charles Keating, all for a little lobbying of the bank regulators to back off while Keating's bank was going under. This cost taxpayers over TWO BILLION dollars.

McCain promises amnesty for illegals to Hispanic lobbyists
http://www.examiner.com/a-1450453~McCain_meets_with_Hispanic_leaders.html
McCain meets with Hispanic leaders in a secret unpublicized meeting
Republican presidential candidate John McCain assured Hispanic leaders he would push through Congress legislation to overhaul federal immigration laws if elected, several people who attended a private meeting with the candidate said Thursday.
Democrats questioned why the Arizona senator held the meeting late Wednesday night in Chicago. But supporters who were in the room denied that McCain held the closed-door session out of fear of offending conservatives, many of whom want him to take a harder line on immigration.
===
McCain (Republican Neo-Democrat) has no fear of offending conservatives. It is ongoing, and he is un-apologetic. He figures he has this sowed up without conservatives. State GOP party leaders are holding their noses and figure to ride the lame nag they got stuck with in this race.
We will see...

McCain's Illegal Alien Constituents Kill Again
The Bush-McCain-Kennedy Illegal Alien Constituency is responsible for many thousands of deaths in the USA and THE POLITICIANS DO NOT GIVE A DAMN! To them this is just the price of giving freedom to their beloved illegals.
- Bush has the power right NOW to do something (as Eisenhower did with a microscopic budget and 1/10th the manpower, "Operation Wetback") and flat out refuses.
- McCain is promising to reward them with citizenship if he becomes president.
- Kennedy is a very long term panderer, probably since eating his first tequila worm.
From VDare.com, I cross post an article of 2 deaths that were 100% preventable, had our government been doing its job. Our politicians are only interested in the feeling of the rush of POWER they get from pandering to the illegal aliens. There are tens of thousands of these needless, senseless deaths every year, entirely attributable to politicians turning away from their oath of office and instead pandering to criminals.
Virginia Beach Teens Killed at Intersection
[Brenda Walker] @ 3:59 pm [Email author] [Email This Article]
Tessa Tranchant, 16, and Allison Kunhardt, 17, were killed late Friday.
According to grieving father Ray Tranchant, his daughter Tessa and her best friend Allison Kunhardt, “were just sitting at the light, strapped in their seat belts. They were just doing what they were supposed to be doing.”
But obeying the law is not enough protection any more, since drunk-driving illegal aliens are making the roads a far more hazardous place. The accused, illegal alien Alfredo Ramos, was apparently so blotto that he doesn’t even remember the accident.
Afterward, [Ramos] told him he had no memory of the crash. He learned from authorities that he had killed two people, his brother said.
Ramos, who was born in Mexico of Guatemalan parents, has been in the United States for about seven years.
[Suspect in crash that killed 2 had alcohol-related convictions , Hampton Roads Pilot 4/3/07]
Ramos had a prior DUI conviction in Chesapeake this year, so if Rep. Sue Myrick's Scott Gardner Act had been law, he would have been immediately deported for being a drunk-driving illegal alien. The legislation, originally written in 2005, has been resubmitted in this Congress as HR1355 .
The girls were very close friends, known to finish each other's sentences. Tessa's mom Colette called the two “inseparable.” They were outgoing, fun-loving and had many friends. It’s a terrible tragedy that their lives ended so young, and that the accident could have been prevented if Washington were doing its job of maintaining secure borders.

McCain - Amnesty assured if he is elected
Like another 4 years of a bad Bush-McCain-Kennedy amnesty nightmare.

McCain Says Immigration Reform Should Be Top Priority
NY Times
SAN JOSE—In yet another sign of his pivoting toward the general election, Senator John McCain said at a roundtable with business leaders here today that comprehensive immigration reform should be a top priority for the next president.
Mr. McCain’s willingness to address the issue was striking given how the topic became something of a third-rail for Republican presidential candidates during the primary.
When Mr. McCain’s presidential bid stalled last summer, many blamed his advocacy for the immigration reform bill in the Senate, which included a pathway to citizenship for the illegal immigrants already here in the country.
[snip]
He added: “I believe we have to secure our borders, and I think most Americans agree with that, because it’s a matter of national security. But we must enact comprehensive immigration reform. We must make it a top agenda item if we don’t do it before, and we probably won’t, a little straight talk, as of January 2009.”
===
This is why I will not support or vote for John McCain. Actually, we are royally screwed this election unless a writein can succeed or we can pull out a miracle at the Republican convention and oust Liberal John. All three of the stooges (Moebama, HilLarry, CurleyCain) are liberal and pro-amnesty.
I will be using the writein option and encourage all other conservatives to do likewise.

Senators From a Different Planet
Cross posted to "No Amnesty - Got It?"
There seems to be a complete disconnect between Senators in DC and the working citizens of the USA. This is nothing new though because the three remaining presidential candidates, the Three Stooges (Moebama, HilLarry, and CurleyCain), are all supreme panderers to the illegal alien component of all the immigrants that they want to flood the country with. The dearest wish of all these politicians is to kick all current workers out of their jobs and replace them with no-wage/low wage workers/slaves. Sounds a bit facetious but it is true nonetheless. They will deny it with words but will vote for it in committee and on the senate floor.
Message from Roy Beck, NumbersUSA.com...
THE INCREDIBLE INGREDIENTS OF THE SENATE'S NOXIOUS AMNESTY STEW
Rosemary Jenks (our Vice President, Government Relations) just called me after finishing reading the Iraq supplemental spending bill as it came out of committee. It would:
Grant a three-year work visa followed by a permanent greencard to all illegal aliens who have been working as shepherds, goat herders and dairy herders.
Grant a five-year work visa to the estimated 1.3 million illegal aliens working in other agricultural jobs -- plus all of their families. There is no instruction on what happens after the five years.
Grant a tripling of the maximum number of H-2B visas for lower skill, non-agricultural seasonal workers.
Grant industries an extra 218,000 additional permanent green cards for skilled foreign workers.
Friends, perhaps you are thinking what I'm thinking: Don't these Senators know that we are in an economic recession, or close to it? Don't they know that unemployment rates have been going up and that industries across the country are shedding both skilled and unskilled jobs?
If ever you doubted that U.S. Senators live lives disconnected from ordinary Americans, you could see it Thursday as 17 of them fell all over themselves to drastically increase the number of foreign workers allowed to hold U.S. jobs!
RIDICULOUS CLAIMS ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF FOOD WITHOUT AN AMNESTY
Senators Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), Larry Craig (R-Idaho) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) led the way to protect our economy from having to figure out ways to hire some of the 14 million-plus American workers who are trying to find a job but can't.
Especially interesting is their claim that we will fail to harvest crops and feed the world this year without an amnesty for illegal aliens. They made the same claim in each of the last four years. Each time that we beat back the amnesty, the harvests still happened! How many times does Feinstein have to cry wolf (or rotting crops) before people stop paying attention?
Of course, the outlaw businesses that scream for illegal aliens do have more to fear this year because various enforcement policies (federal, state and local) are beginning to drive more and more illegal aliens home.
What we have to constantly remind everybody, though, is that each of these outlaw growers at any time can come clean, go straight and become a legal, patriotic member of the business community by importing any needed foreign ag workers through the H-2A temporary worker program. There is no limit on how many they can import as long as they pay them decently and ensure that they go home.
The North Carolina Growers Association has used the H-2A visa program for years and opposes all efforts at amnesty for illegal alien ag workers. If the program works fine for North Carolina farmers, why do farmers in other part of the country insist that only illegal aliens will fit the bill?
THE VERY LOW CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING FOR AN AG AMNESTY
Rosemary says you don't have to have spent much time in the fields to qualify for Feinstein and Craig's amnesty.
You only have to meet ONE of the following three criteria to get the amnesty:
Earned $7,000 working in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period.
Or worked 863 hours in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period.
Or worked at least a little bit in agriculture on 150 different days during the 2004-2007 period.
That amounts to an average of $1,750 per year ...
... or 216 hours per year (the equivalent of 4 hours per week) ...
... or parts of 37 days per year.
DO THEY THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY ACCEPT THAT ILLEGAL ALIENS WORKING THAT LITTLE IN AGRICULTURE ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE SURVIVAL OF AGRI-BUSINESS IN AMERICA!!!!!!
The answer is that they really hope we are that stupid or just incredibly unfocused. All the right-wing business lobbyists, leftist organizations, religious groups and news media who tried to force the amnesty last year are cheering this thing on.
We beat them last year because the American people FOCUSED for a few weeks and told the U.S. Senators who is their boss.
Will you please do everything you can to enlist a small army in your community to fight this?
Please keep coming back to our home page several times a day to read the latest news on the Senate amnesty battle.
Thanks, Roy Beck NumbersUSA.com

note:
(May 16) At yesterday's markup of the Iraq supplemental appropriations bill, the Senate Appropriations Committee committed an outrageous act of disrespect for our men and women in uniform and to the citizens of this country by adopting an amendment by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that gives amnesty to illegal-alien agricultural workers. The copy of the amendment obtained by NumbersUSA indicates a maximum of 1.35 million illegal aliens, plus their families, could obtain "emergency agricultural worker status" for a five-year period. However, the amendment also provides for an adjustment of status, which paves the way for permanent legalization.

The 'Isms' That Bedevil Bush, particularly PATRIOTISM
Bush belittles patriots calling them 'nativists' while he pursues a policy of 'jingoism' overseas.
It is the PATRIOTISM of citizens that is keeping him from the keystone of his legacy, amnesty/citizenship for illegal aliens here in the USA.

The 'Isms' That Bedevil Bush
by Patrick J. Buchanan
Posted: 03/25/2008
On reading George Bush's discourse to the New York Economic Club last week, Cicero's insight came to mind: "To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child."
With Iraq entering its sixth year, the dollar sinking to peso levels, the economy careening into recession, and 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens roosting here, Bush alerted us to what really worries him:
"I'm troubled by isolationism and protectionism ... (and) another 'ism,' and that's nativism. And that's what happened throughout our history. And probably the most grim reminder of what can happen to America during periods of isolationism and protectionism is what happened in the late -- in the '30s, when we had this America First policy and Smoot-Hawley. And look where it got us."
[ed: It really keeps him awake nights trying to dream up a scheme to legalize all those illegal aliens he has employed and promised citizenship back at the Bush ranch in Crawford, Texas. So he has to belittle patriotic citizens for wanting to remove the hoard of invaders that are occupying US territory and taking jobs that citizens would do in factories making skids and other industrial work that are currently occupied by illegal workers. McCain has taken over the Bush dream and wants to make amnesty HIS legacy. McCain also wants to continue to beat down the push for a full acounting of the MIAs of Vietnam. John Kerry destroyed the documents of live sightings that were in government hands and McCain approved.]
Let us try to sort out this dog's breakfast.
First, America was never isolationist. From its birth, the republic was a great trading nation with ties to the world. True, in 1935, 1936 and 1937, a Democratic Congress passed and FDR signed neutrality acts to keep us out of the Italo-Abyssinian and Spanish civil wars. And FDR did say, "We are not isolationist except insofar as we seek to isolate ourselves completely from war." But how did staying out of Abyssinia and Spain hurt America?
As for Smoot-Hawley, it was a tariff enacted in June 1930, nine months after the Crash of 1929, which occurred, as Milton Friedman won a Nobel Prize for proving, when the stock market bubble, caused by the Fed's easy money policy, burst. Smoot-Hawley had nothing to do with a Depression that began in 1929 and lasted through FDR's first two terms. This is a liberal myth, probably taught to Mr. Bush by New Deal Democrats at the Milton Academy.
America First was an organization of 800,000 anti-interventionists formed at Yale in 1940 by patriots like Gerald Ford, Potter Stewart and Sargent Shriver, backed by John F. Kennedy, to check FDR's drive to war. Herbert Hoover supported it, and its greatest spokesman was the Lone Eagle, Charles Lindbergh.
But America First did not make policy. FDR did. And it was FDR who, by cutting off Japan's oil in July 1941, rebuffing Prince Konoye's offer to meet him in the Pacific or Alaska and issuing a virtual ultimatum on Nov. 26, 1941 -- to get out of China -- that propelled Japan to its fatal decision to attack Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7.
Isolationist is an epithet used to smear those patriots... [more]

AFL-CIO Gearing Up to Go After McCain
One leg of the McCain Amnesty Axis (Big Union, Big Business, Big Religion) 3 legged stool of pandering to illegal aliens is gearing up to abandon him since the last two major amnesty attempts went down in flames. He no longer matters to them as they plan to have one of their own spearheading the next attempt at amnesty. The remaining two will not be able to pull his juevos out of the fire, and conservatives would just as soon see 'em hard boiled. It is soon to be the "Rock and Hard place" scenario John. Just how bad do you REALLY want it?

AFL-CIO Gearing Up to Go After McCain
WASHINGTON -- The AFL-CIO's leaders on Wednesday found a presidential candidate they can agree to focus on: Sen. John McCain.
The nation's largest labor federation announced at its executive council meeting in San Diego that it would continue to remain neutral in the Democratic race between Sens. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama, but would begin training its political resources on McCain, the presumptive GOP nominee.
Political director Karen Ackerman said the opening salvo will be to link McCain to President Bush, who endorsed the Arizona senator on Wednesday.
McCain "voted for every free trade deal that exports jobs..."

Big Union remains viable by going after the members economic interests. Since NAFTA was implemented jobs have been fleeing the country, and the ones that satayed have been changing out US workers for h1-b visa low wage workers after the citizen trained his replacement. This will be their argument. It disregards that Slick Willy and Company was a fanatic NAFTA fan.

McCain = Amnesty for illegal aliens
This is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip with Senator Kennedy.
Will we reward him with 4 years in the presidency for his traitorous behavior? He is hoping that we have all forgotten his leadership role for amnesty.
AZTLAN as El Presidente Jorge Bush, Juan McCain, and Eduardo Kennedy have envisioned it. See the moebius strip flag showing that the US and Mexico are one and the same.
This is the kind of display to make any US military veterans blood boil... except for McCain, Kerry, and members of the pander squad.
You convinced me... I can't go without my daily burrito fix!
This the McCain- Kennedy vision of America cheered on by El Presidente Jorge Bush. Jorge says that Juan McCain is a conservative in the Bush tradition.
Citisenship for a CHEAP price, more than made up in benefits (food stamps, free health care, lower in-state college tuition rates, free public schools in language of choice, much more...) once criminal illegals are given legal status.
This is the McCain dream for America!
===
This pictorial essay is just a reminder of what the real John McCain will attempt to foist on us once he is firmly seated in the White House.
Thus far, McCain has refused any form of a "no amnesty pledge", and he has very carefully avoided it when asked, by saying that he is now for secure borders because he heard us and thinks that will satisfy our demands.

Keep The Faith—McCain (and Amnesty) Will Fail
By Joe Guzzardi
Let’s start with the good news. John McCain, the likely (but not absolutely certain) Republican nominee, will never be president.
(What are my credentials for such a bold statement? Wait until the last paragraph of this article!)
Coming after eight years of the disastrous George W. Bush administration and its legacy of war, lunatic immigration enthusiasm, indifference to the middle class and the crushing mortgage crisis, McCain would have a tough climb even if he were the ideal GOP candidate.
But in most ways, McCain is the worst possible candidate. He’s Bush all over again—maybe worse. Open those borders! Let’s stay a hundred more years in Iraq! (See McCain’s speech on YouTube here).
Good luck to McCain campaigning on a platform that echoes Bush and his 30 percent favorable poll rating.
Now for the bad news. If McCain doesn’t become president, then a Democrat will—most likely Hillary Clinton but there’s still plenty of time for Barack Obama to maneuver his way to the nomination.
Both are proud of their amnesty stances. And each insists, wrongly and hurtfully, that more non-immigrant worker visas are essential for the American economy to thrive.
To be sure, it’s a bummer that Republicans don’t have a solid patriotic immigration reform candidate that we can count on at the forefront of the race.
But have faith! Don’t panic! Amnesty will not come automatically regardless of who is elected. History and momentum are on our side.
Have readers totally forgotten how far we’ve come and the magnitude of our 2007 victories?
Here’s an example of what I mean.
Throughout Clinton and Obama’s campaigning and especially since McCain’s resurgence, my in-box has filled up with the direst messages—“ It’s all over now,” “This is the end!” and “Amnesty is inevitable!”
Rightly outraged correspondents are aghast that Obama endorses driver’s licenses for illegal aliens. To them, it is beyond the pale.
And I agree that, after watching N.Y. governor Eliot Spitzer get put through the sausage grinder on alien licensing, it is astonishing that any candidate would touch the subject, especially when it is so easily dodged by merely saying that states—not the federal government—regulate driving.
But that’s my point: who really cares what Obama thinks about licenses? He has no control over it. Any at his own risk.
And the same can be said about presidential opinions on amnesty: that issue is determined in Congress, not the White House.
To better understand the strength of our position, let’s review what’s happened in the amnesty wars since Bush took office.
Bush, at the outset, blindsided many (not all) of us. We didn’t foresee his fanatical devotion to open borders.
As hard as this still may be for some Republicans to swallow, it is impossible—as a practical matter—to be a bigger open borders advocate than Bush.
Remember that Bush’s first out-of-the country trip was to Mexico and the first foreign leader he invited to the White House was Vicente Fox. And Bush had barely survived the dangling chad vote count before he floated an amnesty trial balloon in the spring of 2001.
Then, after his 2004 re-election, Bush vowed to use what he perceived as his accumulated “political capital” to push for amnesty. Result: nothing!
And yet again after the 2006 mid-term election and as Bush worked non-stop with the pro-open border Democrats who controlled Congress, he still couldn’t push through an amnesty despite a series of passionate pleas he made in Arizona and during a rare (for a president) personal visit to Capitol Hill.
In short, for eight years Bush was repeatedly embarrassed on the immigration issue by both Republican- and Democratic-controlled Congresses.
Since Senators Clinton, Obama and McCain were all present and close-up witnesses to the series of beatings Bush took, is it realistic to expect that the first matter of business for whoever is elected will be amnesty?
Not very likely…and that’s not just my opinion either.
During a trip to Washington D.C. in December I attended separate meetings with immigration reform leaders that included NumbersUSA Executive Director Roy Beck, Mark Krikorian and Steve Camarota of Center for Immigration Studies, Hudson Institute Senior Fellow John Fonte and the Federation for American Immigration Reform. The overwhelming consensus is that amnesty is “too toxic” a subject and that it will not rear its ugly head until 2010 at the earliest.
This is a huge change. Remember that in January 2007, when the 110th U.S. Congress was sworn in, nearly every immigration reform advocate on Capitol Hill assumed that the Senate would pass an amnesty again after a tough fight (as it did in 2006), and that we would ultimately have to stop it in the House of Representatives.
Beating it back in the Senate was seen as requiring something of a political miracle, given the odds against us.
For a solid six months, newspaper editorial boards, the majority of columnists and reporters as well as the leadership of businesses, unions, civil rights groups, universities, religions (most visibly the Roman Catholic Church) and ethnocentric lobbyists predicted that “comprehensive immigration” legislation was inevitable.
They were all wrong. Instead, the bill was stopped in the Senate without ever getting to the House.
Here’s what happened instead:
|
|
The Senate defeated amnesty and a green card increase in May…and again in June! |
|
|
A smaller amnesty, the Dream Act, also considered inevitable because of its impact on “the children ” went down in October. |
|
|
As a result of three consecutive defeats and despite a massive assault by the print media and the Chambers of Commerce nationwide predicting bushels of unpicked rotting fruit, an AgJobs amnesty never surfaced. |
|
|
The new Democratic leadership in the House headed by illegal immigration fanatic Nancy Pelosi did not even attempt to move an amnesty bill through a subcommittee—let alone the floor. |
In the meantime,
|
|
Rep. John Gingrey (R-GA) introduced H.R. 938, the Nuclear Family Priority Act that will reduce the numbers of family sponsored immigrants (chain migration) and limit them to spouses and minor children. The bill currently has 31 co-sponsors. |
|
|
Rep. Robert Goodlatte (R-VA) has added 58 co-signers to his H.R. 1430, the Security and Enhancement Fairness for America Act that would eliminate the 50,000-diversity visa lottery. This is a significant move forward in reducing legal immigration. |
And, most significantly, Congressional Democrats proposed tough enforcement legislation
|
|
Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC) introduced the SAVE Act (Secure America Through Verification and Enforcement) that bulks up the E-verify system to identify legal U.S. workers. The bill has been co-signed by 142 representatives—50 Democrats and 92 Republicans. |
|
|
Mark Pryor (D-ARK) and David Vitter (R-LA) forwarded legislation similar to Shuler’s in the U.S. Senate. |
Use 2007—widely but incorrectly predicted to be a disastrous year for patriotic immigration reform—as a guideline.
And, big difference, in 2008, we are forewarned and forearmed.
Not the slightest clue exists that Americans are more receptive to amnesty than they were in 2007. In fact, the reverse is true.
Judge for yourself where we standing by asking this simple question: would you rather be on our side, winning the battles as we fight them, or on La Raza’s team, consistently losing while its captain, Janet Murguia, becomes more frighteningly unhinged with each defeat?
Sure, it would be nice not to have to go to the mat again and again. I’m at a point in my life where I’d like to write fewer columns so I could spend more time upgrading my butterfly collection.
But I’m confident that no matter who wins the November election—the bad, the worse or the worst—we’ll beat back our opponents as consistently and as thoroughly as we have for the last several years.
We have brought immigration into the limelight of presidential politics—a huge triumph in itself—and we’ve won on the playing field.
So don’t fall victim to negativity. Based on our recent record, there’s no real reason for it.
And my credentials for saying this? I don’t like to blow my horn. But I predicted that the McCain-Bush-Kennedy Immigration Surge/ Amnesty bill would fail and when it was exhumed, I predicted it would be reburied. I predicted that front-runner Giuliani would flame out. I said that Mitt Romney should stop Hispandering and run against illegal immigration—without which, as Steve Sailer has pointed out, Romney “would have been tarred and feathered and run out of California on a rail”. And I warned New York’s Spitzer that his driver licence plan would end in Gray Davis-type humilation.
So I repeat: McCain won’t be President. Amnesty will not pass.

Get out the Clinton "IS" Parser and apply it to McCain's CPAC2008 speech. He tried to build up on what could conceivably be positives and just blows off the numerous negatives. This is where he says he will consult us. He wont change anything as he pushes amnesty but he will consult us. I do not believe him.
I think that Joe Guzzardi has it right. The Democrats and liberals that assisted McCain in getting as far as he has now will be abandoning him in the general election to vote for Clinton or Obama. McCain is already feeling the cold draft out there on that lonely limb and finally decided that he needs the conservatives after all. Sorry John, we dont need you. Here is a big "TOLD YA SO!"

BOHICA - McCain and amnesty for illegals
Since my prime focus is the immigration mess that El Presidente Bush has help fester, the immigration issue will be left to the next administration. It is the intense desire of Bush (and McCain) to be the Abraham Lincoln (figuratively speaking) of millions of illegal aliens as his legacy. At this time, the El Presidente has been frustrated in the amnesty quest and will pass the mantle and responsibility of freeing the poor illegal aliens from the corrupt businessmen that hold them hostage with low wages because they can. Of course if these criminal illegals were not here, the point would be moot because the businessmen would have to pay at least a living wage to US citizens or move the business to Mexico or China. Some businesses can't be moved, example: lawn care and tree/plant nurseries. Construction is another line of business that loves to employ illegals.
McCain wants to legalize them in place, just hand them a green card with the promise of citizenship for a token fee, somewhere near $1000 to $3000 depending on which constituency he is pandering to.
We have fought HARD these past two years to stop McCain-Kennedy (with Bush as another major player) from succeeding in their amnesty quest.
McCain on immigration in his own words:
Immigration
"I have always believed that our border must be secure and that the federal government has utterly failed in its responsibility to ensure that it is secure. If we have learned anything from the recent immigration debate, it is that Americans have little trust that their government will honor a pledge to do the things necessary to make the border secure. As president, I will secure the border. I will restore the trust Americans should have in the basic competency of their government. A secure border is an essential element of our national security. Tight border security includes not just the entry and exit of people, but also the effective screening of cargo at our ports and other points of entry."
This is a step in the right direction. Notice that he has carefully avoided mentioning his plan to legalize the in-place illegals and all who can swim, walk, crawl across the border and claim to have been here. No way to document, and this lack of documentation is forgiven by panderers like McCain. McCain will give them legal standing, social security, and an easy road to citizenship, in other words:
BOHICA
Hmmm another thought. We are going to have to dust off the Clinton "IS" parser for use with Hillary. Might as well use it for the MSM's other favorite since he tends to speak in parables and half truths.
