Last week, I wrote on efforts by House GOP members to draw attention to the fact that Nancy Pelosi sent House members home for the summer without a vote on domestic oil drilling. The American people want it, and the GOP House members are fighting for it. I also wrote on how big the energy issue is. It could be THE issue of the upcoming elections... an issue upon which Republicans could run AND win.

However, this is a new week, and whenever too much time passes, there is bound to be a new effort by the GOP to stall momentum and stab conservatives right in the heart. Who needs Democrats when so many GOP "leaders" act just like them? Now, we have the "Gang of 10." This group of senators (5 Republicans and 5 Democrats) claims to have forged a "bi-partisan energy compromise." In reality, we have a group of five GOP senators who are set on taking the winning issues of drilling and energy off the table and selling out to the liberals.

A report in Investor's Business Daily (IBD) sums up the situation perfectly: "If you thought Republicans were no longer 'The Stupid Party,' then you haven't met the senators who may have just destroyed the GOP's biggest hope this election year: the drilling issue."

IBD summarizes the issue as follows:

Sens. Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson of Georgia, Bob Corker of Tennessee, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and John Thune of South Dakota — remember their names if things go badly for the GOP this November.

With the issue of domestic drilling to provide relief for suffering consumers landing right in the laps of embattled congressional Republicans, those five — none of whom faces any immediate danger of losing his seat — decided to join with some crafty Democrats and smash to pieces that gift from the heavens.

The "compromise" they are promoting is actually a wholesale giveaway to Democrats. Touted as a drilling plan, it actually imposes about $84 billion in new taxes on oil companies and keeps the offshore and Arctic National Wildlife Refuge drilling bans.

Obama beats McCain in Europe donations

Federal Election Commission reports show Obama has raised at least $1 million... The European totals include contributions of $200 or more from each individual as election laws do not require campaigns to itemize lesser amounts. (ed: How is the FEC able to closely track this on contributions made in foreign countries? Are the Obamessiah acolytes counting the collection plate and giving a daily tally to the FEC?)

Obama's many backers in Europe say they are motivated by a yearning for America to once again be viewed with respect by the rest of the world. (ed: This means that they want us to join the growing number of countries under socialist rule to become a World Union of Socialist Republics.)

The disparity between the two candidates underscores the Democratic candidate's appeal on a continent where Obamamania seems to have taken hold of expatriates and Europeans alike.

Obama has been much more sophisticated about Internet usage, and when you live overseas that's the easiest way to contribute. (ed: The internet makes election year fraud much easier to do and harder to trace. Thank Algore.)

Each donor is permitted to give a maximum of $2,300 for each election, but since the primaries are regarded as a separate election, a person can make two separate donations of $2,300 before the general election in November. While some gave the maximum, others made contributions in the $10 and $25 range.

(ed: This kinda makes you sit back and say "hmmmmm" as you ponder the fact that now we have the Fieger Precedent. Geoffy was able to get underlings and associates to donate large sums of cash (over $100,000) to Democrat causes and then reimburse them to disguise the source. This was held to be legal by a jury of HIS peers. Thus we have the Fieger Precedent for a way for Democrats to mask large cash contributions.)

Only U.S. citizens are permitted to contribute to presidential campaigns. (ed: But in light of the Fieger Precedent, that is no barrier to the Democrats.)

What is driving the soul deep yearning for the Obamessiah here and overseas? Three words describe it best: Bush Derangement Syndrome

BDS - The expressed naked hatred of Bush and that fear of a McCain presidency as Bush 3. Flip the coin and an Obamessiah presidency is Jimmy Carter 2. I say he would be MUCH WORSE. He doesn't have a brother Billy Bob, which would at least give some comic relief (Remember Billy Beer?)

Europeans are being given a chance to express the BDS and possibly get a vote if the Dems can figure a way to manufacture enough fake expatriate voter registrations to allow for absentee ballots for all of them. Be alert for them to try to block ballots from overseas serving airmen, soldiers, sailors, and marines.

We have illegal aliens here who managed to get registered before the drivers license/motor voter easy portal to voter registration was clamped down. We have heard an estimate that up to 3% of the vote is illegals and it is enough to sway the results one way or the other. In this years election it almost doesn't matter because both sides are belly crawling panderers to illegals, and will give legal status to these criminals. I just want to block the illegal vote.

How will the illegals, that have managed to register to vote, accomplish the deed this year? Absentee Ballots, now that they are registered they can vote where no one can challenge their vote. The absentee ballot is the means that Democrats use to manufacture graveyard votes, pet registration votes, New England-Florida Snowbird votes. They are endlessly creative at ways to defraud the voting public. The absentee ballot offers the easiest means to manufacture large numbers of fraudulent votes. Electronic, non-paper, voting machines are right in the mix now that butterfly ballots are no longer used.

Health Care For Illegals - Part and Parcel of Obama and McCain Amnesty Dreams

Remember back to the big panderfests of the 2006-2007 legislative years when our elected representatives were clawing and scratching to see who could grovel the lowest before the illegals. Senate Bill 2611 was one of the results. We have the list of all those who voted for it. Obama and McCain are on the list. Both voted to give social security to illegals. The votes are part of public record. Obama and McCain are on record voting to give fake background checks to illegals, then allowing them to stay with benefits without having to wait for citizenship.

On this topic when you point a finger at one candidate, you must include the other.

Democrats' single most important domestic proposal — universal health insurance — may blow up in Barack Obama's face when voters are exposed to the deadly details.

Obama has said, proudly and often, "I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage." But are they "Americans?"

That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants, who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally.

Care for illegals is the biggest unmet medical need in our nation, and Obama's program targets it squarely. But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes? (...and as McCain also hopes? He is letting Obama be the lightning rod, but he too holds this as a fervent desire.)

Obama wants to CHANGE our language to Spanish

Change, change, change, change, change, change, change...... gets a little tired hearing the Obama buzzword when you look at what he wants to change.

The latest revelation of Obama's changing desires is our national common language, English. He wants it to be Spanish. (note: this is a common trait with McCain and many of the pandering a-holes in congress who are being revealed as New Deal Republican Neo-Democrats).

Obama Tells American Kids to Learn Spanish

I hope the American public is watching. For months, Barack Obama was a blank slate. The only thing people knew about him was that he gave a good speech and that he wanted "change." This apparently was enough to garner him the Democratic presidential nomination. (That should be a clue to most Americans NOT to vote for him.) But now, with no help from the media, the real Barack Obama is starting to appear.

The media won't write stories about what he says, but they don't need to. With today's technology, we can see for ourselves, and this latest incident is a doozy! Our education system is crazy enough with all these liberal, feel-good programs. Forget adding, subtracting, spelling, and grammar. Now, despite the fact that the rest of the world is learning English, he says that American kids should learn Spanish? What? Learn Spanish? Yes, and it shows just how out of touch and far left Obama is. We need a president who will put America first, not push for our culture to be forgotten.

We need to make sure our kids can speak Spanish? Why? That is the question. Oh, and I have the answer. It's because the liberals [ed: this includes soft liberals like McCain and his New Deal Republican Neo-Democrats] are quite happy seeing millions of illegal aliens pour across our border and do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about it. Rather than solve the problem of illegal immigration by enforcing laws and securing our border (after all, if we did that, liberals would call us racists), the far left would rather Americans simply learn Spanish. That is their solution to the problem.

And it is definitely becoming more and more of a problem. Example... during these very nice summer months, my kids love to go swimming with me at our neighborhood pool. We go in the late morning and spend an hour or two there. Afterward, we come home for lunch. On some days, we go out, and they love it when we get sandwiches at Subway. Getting the sandwiches, however, has become more and more of an ordeal. In fact, the last time we went, it took forever simply because I couldn't understand the attendant, and the attendant couldn't understand me.

"I'll have a six-inch ham sandwich on wheat with lettuce and tomato..." All I got was a blank stare. I repeated the order, with my daughter looking on. The lady finally grabbed the wheat bread and then selected turkey. "No... I said ham."

[ed: Bobby, was the Subway employee wearing a full body condom and mask? This person was handling food that you and your family were going to eat. They are not vaccinated and immunized like you have been since birth and carry diseases across the border such as tuberculosis, whooping cough, etc. All the little beasties that you thought were eradicated in this country are BAAAACK! Thanks to illegal aliens and our belly crawling pandering politicians - Bush, Kennedy, McCain, Clinton, Specter, Obama, Brownback, Levin, Warner, Kerry, Martinez, Lieberman, and more! Socialist Democrats and Republican Neo-Democrats who have been waiting for the confluence of fellow travellers...]

Now, this being a Subway restaurant in AMERICA, one would think that I could place my order in English. Wrong. This must be a Barack Obama Subway restaurant, and the only way to place an order is to do it in Spanish. Hmmm... I guess I should thank Obama for his speech. What he was trying to get across was the idea that we should teach our kids Spanish just so we can order a sandwich at an American restaurant. Thanks Obama for looking out for me!

Sarcasm aside, Barack Obama continues to show that he is not ready for the presidency, and more importantly, America is not ready for him. Our kids should not be told to learn Spanish. Our kids should be told to learn English and math and science, so they can become contributing American citizens. Obama's example in his speech is that Americans sound silly when they go to France because they can only say a simple phrase. What's his point? Is he saying that we should all learn French for that day that we spend thousands of dollars to travel to France?

English has become the language of international business, commerce, science, and technology. Other nations learn English, because English is the "universal" language in which things get done. Only in America (an English-speaking country) would left-wing Barack Obama tell Americans that their kids should learn Spanish.

McCain and Obama shared dreams = amnesty and other liberal issues

McCain has decided to forego support of conservatives as we would polute the purity of his Republican Neo-Democrats, the support coalition that has fueled his campaign to be the figurehead of the ex-GOP, now RND.

On the other hand, The DNC has issued a call to their party weedroots faithfull to help write the party platform. There are some 600 or so platform committees across the country. Does anyone seriously believe that the Socialist Democrats will actually listen to Joe Sixpack about what he wants? Rush Limbaugh has just issued new orders for Operation Chaos operatives to join the fun.

This truly is a strange campaign year. McCain has done all in his power to push away conservatives including the religious right. Obama, supporter of homosexuality and abortion, is trying to convince Christians that he is also a Christian and wants them to vote for him. Unfortunately there are a sizable number of Christians that are politically ignorant sheeples who do not look past the surface appearance. They will vote for Obama because Rev. Pfleger, the pro-abortion Catholic priest of the Chicago diocese's Saint Sabina RCC, and other liberal pseudo-Christian reverends says to vote this way. The Cardinal of Chicago turns a blind eye to most of this activity in his backyard.

Amnesty for criminal border jumpers, drug dealers and mules, and terrorist OTMs is what John McCain scrambled, scratched and fought to achieve during the 2006 and 2007 legislative years standing hip to hip with Senator Kennedy. McCain and Obama passed the terrorist bill of rights with affirmative votes from Senators Clinton and Lieberman (and a majority of Socialist Democrat senators), which would fit in with a general amnesty for all illegals, if enacted. McCain and Obama voted to give away social security (which is already going broke) to illegals. McCain is travelling the same road with Kennedy, Feingold, and other Socialist Democrats. McCain is the secret weapon of the socialist Democrats in this election. McCain holds hands with Algore in his quest for global dominion, forcing everyone to start riding bicycles so the elites can have all the fuel for their jets. Obama is a YES MAN for this issue. If elected, McCain will take over the global warming issue as his own. Fortunately, McCain is so old that he cant ride that horse for many years without a pact with the devil.

Senator Obama is right in there trying to show how socialist he is, voting for everything pushed his way by the Socialist Democrat party. He wants to remind everyone of his street agitator/organizer roots in Chicago. In the Illinois legislature, he was preparing for higher office, voting "present" over 70% of the time rather than leave a back trail to look at. Senator Obama is 100% pro-abortion and is lauded for this by the National Abortion Rights Action League.

That is, for what change is left in your pockets...

Will we reward either Obama or McCain? Apparently the answer is YES.

Superdelegate Socialist Democrat Congressman Willy Delahunt (MA-10), an early Obama supporter, has made a declaration as a spokesman of Al Qaeda:

David Addington is the Vice President's Chief of Staff. Last Thursday (26 June 2008), he testified before Congress.

During the course of the hearing, Congressman and Obama Superdelegate William Delahunt (MA-10) asked Mr. Addington about water boarding. Mr. Addington responded that he would not go into details because Al Qaeda is probably watching.
Congressman Delahunt's response was, "I'm glad they finally have a chance to see you."

Censure is the very least that should be heaped on Delahunt's plate.

Over the past two years (2006-2007) we have seen a variety of supposedly rock solid Republicans come out of the closet on the issue of softening the immigration laws, giving some form of amnesty to illegal alien border jumpers and those who have overstayed visas that expired. They want unrestricted immigration in the form of multi-millions of easily gained green cards which will morph over time into permanent residency papers, followed by easy fast track citizenship to get them into the voting booth.

It turns out that approximately half the Republicans in the US Senate and virtually ALL the Democrat senators are belly crawling amnesty panderers.

We have been recruiting the best and brightest legal immigrants but what the politicians want is the lowest, uneducated, disease carrying peons that Mexico is more than willing to ship to us, their welfare class.

This year, our choice (Republican or Democrat) is a LOSE-LOSE proposition, The Lesser of Two Equal Evils.

The choice is between a pair of "Boll Weevils". [This is a little play on words. There is a band called The Presidents of the United States that did a song "Boll Weevil"]

When the choice is so equally bad that we have to compare down the laundry lists, what can we do?

[b]Toss the McCain- Obama lose-lose coin and hope it lands on its edge,

This year, Bob Barr, ex-congressman from Georgia, changed from the Republican Party and is running as the Libertarian candidate for president.

I will not tell you what he stands for. You go take a look for yourself and decide whether you want to choose a real American patriot or between the lesser of two weevils.

Dubai Ports, a DONE DEAL?

I just heard on the Savage Nation (Michael Savage) that over this past weekend, Bush and the corrupt politicians in DC pushed through the deal to sell the ports to Dubai after the people most vocally stood up and said "NO!" over a year ago! Not just no but HELL NO!

Worse still, the media seems to be in full blown collusion as there are no reports ANYWHERE that I coould find using GOOGLE and YAHOO search engines.

If Bush can do this with impunity, his next move will be to rub our faces in the amnesty of 20 million illegal alien criminals being given more rights that normal citizens.

In breaking news, the Washington Examiner is reporting this afternoon that Bank of America, which is buying Countrywide Financial, gave Senator Chris Dodd $70,000.00 in campaign contributions over the past year.

According to the Examiner, after Bank of American paid Senator Dodd, the Senator let Bank of America's lobbyists write the mortgage bailout legislation.  Senator Dodd already received a sweetheart deal from Countrywide Financial.

Commentary - Bank of America PAC money behind Dodd's Countrywide loan

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - "We call it the 'Bank of America bill on steroids.'" A House staffer told me that, demanding anonymity, but speaking on behalf of aides to GOP members of the House Financial Services Committee.

He was talking about the bill whose Senate version has been brought to the floor this week by Sen. Chris Dodd, D-CN, and Sen. Richard Shelby, R-AL. Dodd-Shelby would let mortgage lenders off the hook for bad loans, shifting the burden ultimately to taxpayers. Dodd has received approximately $70,000 in campaign contributions from Bank of America in the last year-and-a-half.

Dodd-Shelby hit the Senate floor this week amid controversy over sweetheart loan deals Dodd and other powerful politicians received from Countrywide Financial, the lender with the most exposure to subprime mortgages at risk of default.

Some journalists and Republican lawmakers are asking if Countrywide bought a bailout bill with its VIP loans to Dodd, who is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. But when asking cui bono? about Dodd's bill, we need to look to Bank of America.

Bank of America agreed in January to buy Countrywide, and the deal is near completion. House and Senate staffers opposing the measure say Bank of America operatives wrote that chamber's version of the bailout.

One Senate staffer was told by a lobbyist, "the bailout section is exactly what Bank of America and Countrywide wanted." The Senate staffer added "its obvious they got what they asked for."

Bank of America was able to buy Countrywide for around $7 per share. Countrywide's exposure to default is why Bank of America would benefit so acutely from a subprime mortgage bailout like Dodd-Shelby.

Countrywide's VIP loan to Dodd, which saves the Banking Committee chairman $75,000 over 30 years, smells like a potential quid-pro-quo now that Dodd has pushed a bill that will save the company from itself, but what about Bank of America's behavior?

These aren't bank tellers funding Dodd, either, as contributors include Bank of America's director of government affairs John Collingwood and Barbara Desoer, who oversees the merger with Countrywide and will "run the combined companies' mortgage operations," according to The Los Angeles Times.

Only Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have received more Bank of America money than Dodd during the current election cycle. Republican nominee John McCain slightly trails Dodd, with $64,000 in reported Bank of America contributions.

NAFTA - A point of contention between McCain and Obama

Looking back...

I seem to recall that a certain Bush (41) was proposing NAFTA, Ross Perot was vocally in opposition using all manner of charts and the phrase "A Giant Sucking Sound". Bush (41) was up for re-election to a second term, but broke a promise "Read My Lips, NO NEW TAXES!" which sunk him. Bush (41) was a "go along to get along" wobbly moderate who rode into the White House for his first term on the coat tails and good will of Ronald Reagan and supporters.

Bush (41) went down in massive flames to Clinton (42) who was also a NAFTA supporter, to the chagrin of the yellow dog unionists that supported Clinton. It really illustrated how a yellow dog Democrat could detest a policy of their Democrat president and still suck down and support everything regardless.

After NAFTA went into effect, plants started closing here, relocating to Mexico... a good thing for the US economy we were told. Clinton (42) got very buddy-buddy with the Chinese, selling them MIRV warhead technology for campaign money as his reelection was coming up. China became a favored trading partner and the sucking sound amplified as more plants closed (a good thing, right?) in the US heading for China. The companies that had relocated to Mexico, discovered that the Chinese workers would work for less than a Mexican, so Mexico heard that sucking sound too. Clinton was followed by Bush (43), an unabashed NAFTA supporter as an employment tool in the US for his beloved illegal aliens.

We have been told that NAFTA created MILLIONS and MILLIONS of jobs here in the US. Where? Plants closed in Michigan and to find work, people left Michigan for other states.

We have been in a steady decline for a decade and are presently in a one state depression with the highest unemployment rate in the USA.

McCain has the gall to go to Canada and praise NAFTA but when he comes to Michigan, it is for closed fund raisers and closed "town hall" meetings where workers can not question him. It is part of his "country club" persona that will keep the conservative Reagan Democrat workers from voting for him.

NAFTA was not a good deal back home in the slave labor maquilladoras so they came here to take jobs that US citizens wont do for slave wages.)

In an unmistakable reference to Obama, he added, "Demanding unilateral changes and threatening to abrogate an agreement that has increased trade and prosperity is nothing more than retreating behind protectionist walls." (No prosperity in Michigan you pompous ass!)

Aides said in advance McCain would come to Canada to highlight trade, and there has been widespread speculation that he will soon travel to Mexico...

An interesting parallel: McCain and Dodd, two peas in a pod

John McCain is showing us where he is politically in the Republican Neo-Democrats (the new creation out of the ashes of the Grand Old Party by McCain and his McCain Democrats and independents). McCain received campaign contributions, transportation on private jets, and vacation trips from Charles Keating Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, to look the other way and even lobby the Federal Home Loan Bank Board to look away. The bailout cost taxpayers over a billion dollars. McCain received a mild slap on the wrist for his participation along with four Democrats in this debacle. He also has historical recognition as a member of the "Keating Five" (other participants - Cranston, DeConcini, Glenn, and Riegle). All served out their terms with Glenn and McCain being re-elected. The "fix" was in.

Second: Democrat Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee (seeking to bail out Country Wide Financial for lucrative preferential loans he received from Countrywide)...

Senator Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, knew he was in a "V.I.P. program" at Countrywide Financial, but he denies that this meant he was getting special treatment from Countrywide Financial. That's like being a member of the United States Senate and thinking you get treated just like everybody else.

Senator Dodd is now trying to bailout Countrywide Financial with billions of taxpayer dollars. How many billions is Dodd seeking for his buddies at Countrywide?

Summation: It is amazing how the US Senate attracts the creme de la creme of the crooks and fixers for crooks (or is it the scum de la scum?)...

Oil and the Dollar, an interesting read

The "oil crisis" is nothing of the sort. The world is swimming in oil. Our crisis (political) is that we are controlled by corrupt politicians that will not allow recovery of oil on our own land, forcing us to rely on foreign sources. The "Hate Bush" crowd tries to say he is the cause, but the road blocks to domestic energy are nearly all on the Democrat side of the fence. As we have seen lately, McCain is of the squishy moderate side that wants to keep the US enslaved to foreign oil. About a month or so ago, I wrote a column that was a tongue-in-cheek, fictional story that addressed the oil speculation that was going on at the time. Of course, that speculation is still going on. Well, this column is one where I am going to tell it like I see it, warts and all.

I have been in this business for over 40 years, as you all know by now, and I have seen a lot. Some of it has been very good and some of it has been very bad. I don’t count myself as having seen it all, but what I have seen helps me get to the bottom of problems in this business.

I want to address two much talked about topics, the dollar and oil. Both of these are the most misunderstood of all the current investing subjects out there that occupy financial print and talk space. Now, don’t get me wrong here. I don’t claim to be able to see every nook and cranny of these subjects. But, what I do see are the elements that repeat the oldest scams around.

The most overused phrase today is the one that says “the dollar is declining fast and is in deep trouble.” The first implication is that the dollar needs to go much higher and fast. The girls were very close friends, known to finish each other's sentences. Tessa's mom Colette called the two “inseparable.” They were outgoing, fun-loving and had many friends. It’s a terrible tragedy that their lives ended so young, and that the accident could have been prevented if Washington were doing its job of maintaining secure borders.

There seems to be a complete disconnect between Senators in DC and the working citizens of the USA. This is nothing new though because the three remaining presidential candidates, the Three Stooges (Moebama, HilLarry, and CurleyCain), are all supreme panderers to the illegal alien component of all the immigrants that they want to flood the country with. The dearest wish of all these politicians is to kick all current workers out of their jobs and replace them with no-wage/low wage workers/slaves. Sounds a bit facetious but it is true nonetheless. They will deny it with words but will vote for it in committee and on the senate floor.

Rosemary Jenks (our Vice President, Government Relations) just called me after finishing reading the Iraq supplemental spending bill as it came out of committee. It would:

Grant a three-year work visa followed by a permanent greencard to all illegal aliens who have been working as shepherds, goat herders and dairy herders.

Grant a five-year work visa to the estimated 1.3 million illegal aliens working in other agricultural jobs -- plus all of their families. There is no instruction on what happens after the five years.

Grant a tripling of the maximum number of H-2B visas for lower skill, non-agricultural seasonal workers.

Grant industries an extra 218,000 additional permanent green cards for skilled foreign workers.

Friends, perhaps you are thinking what I'm thinking: Don't these Senators know that we are in an economic recession, or close to it? Don't they know that unemployment rates have been going up and that industries across the country are shedding both skilled and unskilled jobs?

If ever you doubted that U.S. Senators live lives disconnected from ordinary Americans, you could see it Thursday as 17 of them fell all over themselves to drastically increase the number of foreign workers allowed to hold U.S. jobs!

RIDICULOUS CLAIMS ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF FOOD WITHOUT AN AMNESTY

Senators Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), Larry Craig (R-Idaho) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) led the way to protect our economy from having to figure out ways to hire some of the 14 million-plus American workers who are trying to find a job but can't.

Especially interesting is their claim that we will fail to harvest crops and feed the world this year without an amnesty for illegal aliens. They made the same claim in each of the last four years. Each time that we beat back the amnesty, the harvests still happened! How many times does Feinstein have to cry wolf (or rotting crops) before people stop paying attention?

Of course, the outlaw businesses that scream for illegal aliens do have more to fear this year because various enforcement policies (federal, state and local) are beginning to drive more and more illegal aliens home.

What we have to constantly remind everybody, though, is that each of these outlaw growers at any time can come clean, go straight and become a legal, patriotic member of the business community by importing any needed foreign ag workers through the H-2A temporary worker program. There is no limit on how many they can import as long as they pay them decently and ensure that they go home.

The North Carolina Growers Association has used the H-2A visa program for years and opposes all efforts at amnesty for illegal alien ag workers. If the program works fine for North Carolina farmers, why do farmers in other part of the country insist that only illegal aliens will fit the bill?

THE VERY LOW CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING FOR AN AG AMNESTY

Rosemary says you don't have to have spent much time in the fields to qualify for Feinstein and Craig's amnesty.

You only have to meet ONE of the following three criteria to get the amnesty:

Earned $7,000 working in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period.

Or worked 863 hours in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period.

Or worked at least a little bit in agriculture on 150 different days during the 2004-2007 period.

That amounts to an average of $1,750 per year ...

... or 216 hours per year (the equivalent of 4 hours per week) ...

... or parts of 37 days per year.

DO THEY THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY ACCEPT THAT ILLEGAL ALIENS WORKING THAT LITTLE IN AGRICULTURE ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE SURVIVAL OF AGRI-BUSINESS IN AMERICA!!!!!!

The answer is that they really hope we are that stupid or just incredibly unfocused. All the right-wing business lobbyists, leftist organizations, religious groups and news media who tried to force the amnesty last year are cheering this thing on.

We beat them last year because the American people FOCUSED for a few weeks and told the U.S. Senators who is their boss.

Will you please do everything you can to enlist a small army in your community to fight this?
