BoA buying Countrywide, pays off Dodd

In breaking news, the Washington Examiner is reporting this afternoon that Bank of America, which is buying Countrywide Financial, gave Senator Chris Dodd $70,000.00 in campaign contributions over the past year.

According to the Examiner, after Bank of American paid Senator Dodd, the Senator let Bank of America's lobbyists write the mortgage bailout legislation.  Senator Dodd already received a sweetheart deal from Countrywide Financial.

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - "We call it the 'Bank of America bill on steroids.'" A House staffer told me that, demanding anonymity, but speaking on behalf of aides to GOP members of the House Financial Services Committee.

He was talking about the bill whose Senate version has been brought to the floor this week by Sen. Chris Dodd, D-CN, and Sen. Richard Shelby, R-AL. Dodd-Shelby would let mortgage lenders off the hook for bad loans, shifting the burden ultimately to taxpayers. Dodd has received approximately $70,000 in campaign contributions from Bank of America in the last year-and-a-half.

Dodd-Shelby hit the Senate floor this week amid controversy over sweetheart loan deals Dodd and other powerful politicians received from Countrywide Financial, the lender with the most exposure to subprime mortgages at risk of default.

Some journalists and Republican lawmakers are asking if Countrywide bought a bailout bill with its VIP loans to Dodd, who is chairman of the Senate Banking Committee. But when asking cui bono? about Dodd's bill, we need to look to Bank of America.

Bank of America agreed in January to buy Countrywide, and the deal is near completion. House and Senate staffers opposing the measure say Bank of America operatives wrote that chamber's version of the bailout.

One Senate staffer was told by a lobbyist, "the bailout section is exactly what Bank of America and Countrywide wanted." The Senate staffer added "its obvious they got what they asked for."

Bank of America was able to buy Countrywide for around $7 per share. Countrywide's exposure to default is why Bank of America would benefit so acutely from a subprime mortgage bailout like Dodd-Shelby.

Countrywide's VIP loan to Dodd, which saves the Banking Committee chairman $75,000 over 30 years, smells like a potential quid-pro-quo now that Dodd has pushed a bill that will save the company from itself, but what about Bank of America's behavior?

These aren't bank tellers funding Dodd, either, as contributors include Bank of America's director of government affairs John Collingwood and Barbara Desoer, who oversees the merger with Countrywide and will "run the combined companies' mortgage operations," according to The Los Angeles Times.

Only Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have received more Bank of America money than Dodd during the current election cycle. Republican nominee John McCain slightly trails Dodd, with $64,000 in reported Bank of America contributions.

Okay, I am convinced that BoA is buying votes of every available politician wherever/whenever. In McCain's case, he has a proven track record with involvement in bank scandals and giving political cover to Democrats. The bases have been covered, millions spread around liberally, and politicians bought. The "fix" is in.

I have a question: What is Shelby's involvement beyond giving Dodd (very little) cover? How much money did Shelby take from Countrywide/BoA to be the GOP frontman for this bailout? It is another shakedown of the taxpayers. Crooks in government line their pockets at taxpayer expense. SSDD

An interesting parallel: McCain and Dodd, two peas in a pod

John McCain is showing us where he is politically in the Republican Neo-Democrats (the new creation out of the ashes of the Grand Old Party by McCain and his McCain Democrats and independents). The RND was formed when McCain carefully excluded conservatives from the party, except for those who crawled to him on his terms. The show at CPAC2008 was where he told conservatives to come to him with no preconditions. On to the story: First, McCain and his bank scandal connection (Keating Five)...

McCain received campaign contributions, transportation on private jets, and vacation trips from Charles Keating Jr., chairman of the failed Lincoln Savings and Loan Association, to look the other way and even lobby the Federal Home Loan Bank Board to look away. The bailout cost taxpayers over a billion dollars. McCain received a mild slap on the wrist for his participation along with four Democrats in this debacle. He also has historical recognition as a member of the "Keating Five" (other participants - Cranston, DeConcini, Glenn, and Riegle). All served out their terms with Glenn and McCain being re-elected. The "fix" was in.

Second: Democrat Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee (seeking to bail out Country Wide Financial for lucrative preferential loans he received from Countrywide)...

Senator Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, knew he was in a "V.I.P. program" at Countrywide Financial, but he denies that this meant he was getting special treatment from Countrywide Financial. That's like being a member of the United States Senate and thinking you get treated just like everybody else.

Senator Dodd is now trying to bailout Countrywide Financial with billions of taxpayer dollars. How many billions is Dodd seeking for his buddies at Countrywide?

Summation: It is amazing how the US Senate attracts the creme de la creme of the crooks and fixers for crooks (or is it the scum de la scum?)...

Oil and the Dollar, an interesting read

The "oil crisis" is nothing of the sort. The world is swimming in oil. Our crisis (political) is that we are controlled by corrupt politicians that will not allow recovery of oil on our own land, forcing us to rely on foreign sources. The "Hate Bush" crowd tries to say he is the cause, but the road blocks to domestic energy are nearly all on the Democrat side of the fence. As we have seen lately, McCain is of the squishy moderate side that wants to keep the US enslaved to foreign oil. McCain is also a pimp for Algore's "Global Warming Gestapo" which will further enslave the US to foreign interests.

About a month or so ago, I wrote a column that was a tongue-in-cheek, fictional story that addressed the oil speculation that was going on at the time. Of course, that speculation is still going on. Well, this column is one where I am going to tell it like I see it, warts and all.

I have been in this business for over 40 years, as you all know by now, and I have seen a lot. Some of it has been very good and some of it has been very bad. I don’t count myself as having seen it all, but what I have seen helps me get to the bottom of problems in this business.

I want to address two much talked about topics, the dollar and oil. Both of these are the most misunderstood of all the current investing subjects out there that occupy financial print and talk space. Now, don’t get me wrong here. I don’t claim to be able to see every nook and cranny of these subjects. But, what I do see are the elements that repeat the oldest scams around.

The Dollar

The most overused phrase today is the one that says “the dollar is declining fast and is in deep trouble.” The first implication is that the dollar needs to go much higher and fast. The second implication is that the dollar is out of control and about to fall off a cliff to oblivion. The third implication is that the Fed...

Groups Join Forces on Immigration

Groups lobbying for changes in the nation’s immigration laws, including a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants, have dubbed themselves the “Alliance for Immigration Reform 2007.” [aka "The Amnesty AXIS", "The AXIS of Evil", or just "The AXIS"]

The organizations, which announced their new name Thursday in a conference call with reporters, include the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights group; the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops; the Service Employees International Union; the National Immigration Forum; and the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank based in New York.

“This is the year to get this done,” said Tamar Jacoby, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. “Everybody, no matter who they are, is sick of the illegality and the porous borders. Businesses are tired of lying to the government and having to break the law just to get the work done. Latinos want to see their friends and family able to work with dignity. And soccer moms and dads want to see Congress solve something.”

Bruce Josten, executive vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said he expected President Bush to address immigration in his State of the Union speech Tuesday.

“I have absolutley no doubt that he will raise this issue and he will press and stay on the message he has been on since a candidate for this office for a comprehensive solution to immigration,” Josten said.

White House spokesman Tony Snow confirmed the topic.

The speech “will address major issues, including the war on terror, energy, health care, immigration, and education,” he told reporters Thursday.

The AXIS: Despite the backing of the US Chamber of Commerce, the Bishops, Arch Bishops, and Cardinals of the American Catholic Church, Big Union (AFL-CIO represented by SEI), a putatively conservative think tank (Manhattan Institute), El Presidente Bush, the DNC including all but a bare handfull of Democrat senators, approximately half of the GOP senators (including Frist, the GOP senate majority leader), MoveOnKoSoroStryker (arguably this IS the true leadership of the DNC politburo), and the MSM which is always sympathetic to socialist/leftist causes, but especially for amnesty...

The Patriots: Patriotic Citizens of all political persuasions joined together to turn back the AXIS attempt to dissolve our national sovereignty that would have effectively thrown open our borders to tens of millions of newly arriving illegal aliens.

The amnesty attempts were formulated in secret with no involvement in legislative committees. La Raza and other amnesty pimps were allowed to give input as to the content of the first bill (S.1348) to be taken directly to the senate floor, where The AXIS thought they had enough votes to force it through.

A very smug George Bush said, "I'll see you at the signing!" [...instead he got bitch-slapped again, just like with Dubai Ports and Harriet Miers. This may explain why he had his pet prosecutor, Jonny Sutton, dump border guards in prison while using a Bush Cartel drug smuggler as witness in the star chamber trials.]

Can you imagine the expression on the face of El Presidente Bush when he found out that The PATRIOTS had been flooding their senators and congressmens phones, faxes, and emails with demands that this bad legislation be defeated... and it was.

The AXIS made another stealth attempt with a renumbered amnesty package (S.1639). They tried a tactic of making the legislators unavailable except through special hotlines to allow illegal aliens to call in, excluding The PATRIOTS. These numbers were made public and citizens started using them too. Once again, The Patriots prevailed over The AXIS.

The midterm elections in 2006 was a turning point. It turned the senate and house, starting in 2007, over to Democrats. The new majority was made possible by new Democrat candidates who ran on platforms that were, in most cases, more conservative than their opponents. Time will tell if this is true.

The AXIS was not through with their attempts though. Instead of the comprehensive, big package approach, they shifted gears and now are using the incremental approach of attaching small items to other unrelated legislation to slip it to us a little at a time. The DREAM act was such a piece of legislation.

The AXIS had one victory in December of 2007. The managed to defund and kill the border fence that was authorized in 2006. This is a reason that patriotic citizens must stand together.

[The "death by a thousand cuts" analogy has been made as relates to the slow infiltration, occupation, and take over of our southwestern states without a shot being fired except by criminal gangs of illegals. El Presidente Bush has no intention of enforcing immigration law strenuously during his tenure, so this will fall to whoever is elected as the next president. By that time it may be necessary to use military units to clean out and retake our territory from the occupying hoard while guarding the border against military incursions from the south.]

The Bush scandal that the MSM refused to cover, because it was a willing participant, is known as Bordergate. The MSM tried to fabricate out of whole air various things to use as a scandal for Bush, such as manufactured military records by CBS/Damn Rather, when they had everything they need, if they had not been so heavily involved themselves, via their political allegiance to the socialist Democrats who are also primo amnesty panderers.

In December 2007, Michigan AG Mike Cox issued his opinion (weight of law unless successfully challenged in court) that illegal aliens may not be issued Michigan drivers licenses, a reversal of the opinion of the Democrat former AG Frank Kelley. How this will affect the illegals already holding Michigan Drivers Licenses (and possibly voter registration cards) was not dealt with as far as I can ascertain. We may well face a certain number of illegal voters at the polls.

Independent Liberal Democrat and amnesty co-conspirator Senator Joe Lieberman endorsed John McCain for president.

Bush pardoned and commuted sentences of 105 criminals (fraud, robbery, drug smuggling, forgery, counterfeiting, car theft, income tax evasion, military AWOL, moonshining and bootlegging (illegal liquor), theft of US mail, illegal weapons) and no pardons or commutations for Ramos, Compean, or any of the other law men who were railroaded into prison by his pet prosecutor, Johnny Sutton. George did spring Scooter Libby (commuted not pardoned).

They stood close and spoke intensely but quietly, obviously not eager to attract attention. But there were even more of them than usually gather round you at the podium after you've finished a contentious debate. And their message was the same: whatever the economics of mass immigration, they were really worried about its social consequences. And they wanted to tell me their cogent reasons.

It was the summer of 1995. The issue of immigration was enjoying one of its brief moments in the sun of public attention—now forgotten, but very similar to the moment it enjoyed more recently, when it was surfaced by the Bush Administration's fanatical and foolish determination to ram an illegal alien amnesty through Congress before the mid-term elections. Such moments are ultimately due to the relentless accumulation of foreigners in the U.S. that is occurring because of public policy, both of commission and omission, and the consequent inexorably-mounting problems. But the story is not one that the Mainstream Media wants to cover, and it takes something specific for it to break free of the news managers' control.

The earlier cause was the stunning victory in 1994 of California's Proposition 187, where a grassroots movement overcame the intense opposition of the state's entire political elite, liberal and "conservative," to vote restrictions on taxpayer-funded services to illegal aliens, followed by the reports (interim 1994, final 1997) of the U.S. Commission on Immigration headed by the black former Congresswoman Barbara Jordan (D.-Texas), which recommended significant reductions in legal immigration. With this perfect cover, the newly Republican-controlled Congress had actually embodied Jordan's recommendations in legislation, the Smith-Simpson bill, which it appeared posed to pass. (More recently, in sad contrast, American patriots were strictly playing defense—struggling to stop amnesty and other legislation that would have made America's epochal immigration disaster even worse.)

I was then a Senior Editor of Forbes Magazine. I had just finished speaking at one of the magazine's CEO [Chief Executive Officer] Conferences. On the podium with me was George Gilder, famous as the author of the 1980 book Wealth And Poverty, which had made the philosophical case for Ronald Reagan's supply-side tax cuts. Gilder was then in the process of becoming even more famous—and wealthier, alas briefly—as the messianic guru of the high-tech investing boom that was to go bust so dramatically in 2000.

I had never been allowed to write about immigration in Forbes (more about this later) and it had been clear to me that I was not to mention it at the conference. But I had just published a book, Alien Nation: Common Sense About America's Immigration Disaster, which had benefited from the issue's moment in the sun—"one of the most widely discussed books of the year," according to Newsweek's Jerry Adler. In fact, I had loyally come off the promotion circuit at the magazine's command to appear at the conference. And George Gilder, always something of an innocent in the context of Forbes' internal politics and bursting with simplistic messianic enthusiasm for Silicon Valley and all of its works, could not restrain himself at the thought of anything that would get in the way of people like his heroes (Intel's Andy Grove, Oracle's Larry Ellison) and their desire to import more computer programmers.

So Gilder attacked me on immigration anyway. The audience of CEOs immediately erupted, as invariably happens when Americans realize they are going to be allowed a brief holiday from political correctness in which to discuss this most incorrect of issues.

(Gilder's enthusiasm for Silicon Valley is widely shared in Congress—or possibly the enthusiasm is for campaign contributions. An entire immigrant category, the H(1)(b) "temporary worker" visa, has been created to allow the importation of software engineers because of an alleged "shortage" of programmers. Since 1995, some over one million have been imported with their families; most, of course, stay. Naturally, "shortages" are now being loudly descried by opportunistic employers of other unfortunate American professionals, notably nurses and teachers. Of course, economists, unlike businessmen, don’t believe in "shortages": they think it’s just a question of setting a price—raising wages—that will call forth supply or redirect demand. Typically, this subtlety was lost on Gilder. When I pointed out that many U.S. software engineers are actually unemployed or have been driven out of the field by immigrant competition, he yelled: "Because they’re no good!")

I don’t remember that the CEOs who came up to me afterward had raised their concerns from the floor. I do remember saying something rueful about our joint failure to stay away from immigration to Kip Forbes, one of the numerous sons of Malcolm swanning about with some grand but obscure function at the magazine. He responded with ominous bad grace.

But my CEOs’ arguments were telling. One told me he owned a ranch in Florida. The work used to be done by African Americans, he said. But now the workers were all Hispanics and the African Americans were on welfare. Another was on the board of a big city school. The influx of immigrants was overwhelming its resources and making it impossible to maintain standards for the native-born.

Explosions strike Mexico gas pipelines

VERACRUZ, Mexico - Mexican gas and oil pipelines were attacked in six places before dawn Monday, causing explosions, fires and gas leaks that forced the evacuation of thousands of people. Pemex said domestic gas and gasoline service would not be affected. [Corrupt oil and gas companies north of the border will try to gouge as much as they could using a gas panic as an excuse. Check the gas pumps for price spike in the next day or two.]

Mexico is a major oil producer and exporter, with oil and related taxes accounting for over a third of the federal government's revenue. [The other two thirds are from Mexico's major export of ignorant cheap illegal emigrants from Mexico to the USA. The money is funneled back to Mexico via Bank of America and other banks in the USA that encourage illegal aliens to do their fund transfers through them.]

AMNESTY is NOT dead yet folks!

ALL of the key players (Big Government, Big Business, Big Religion, Big Union, Big Illegal Alien Lobby) are still on the scene ready to jam it to the citizens of the US if we hesitate and give them an opening. This past couple days has just been a feint by the opposition to make us relax so they can insert the stilletto between the ribs.

Bush, Kennedy, McCain, and all of those who want to bury the USA as we now know it, are still on the scene, scrambling with elbows and arlen specters to make it happen. Our children and grandchildren will be relegated to less than second class citizen status if we let these bastards get away with it.

In the senate, the traitors are numerous... today I want to mention one that has toiled in the amnesty vineyard with little fanfare, as he is not seeking to use it as a presidential trampoline. He has most of the liberal tendencies of a good little Democrat. When you look at him, you are reminded that he may also have a Ferengi somewhere in his heritage, like Dennis "The Menace" Kucinich.

S.1348, The immigration Debate, La Raza (and corporate sponsors), and more

I was watching C-Span last night... amendment after amendment to S.1348.

Some good, some bad, all attempting to put wings on a pig and make it fly so that they can sail it past us.

The Amnesty Pimp in Chief (Bush) is getting impatient to get this through. Two of his Amnesty-Under-Pimps, Kennedy and McCain, are adamant that this will pass without dilution. They are getting a lot of help from the Amnesty Whores in the Senate.

The sovereignty of the USA is in peril, allowing our borders to remain open and unprotected, just so the Bush Cartel can continue business as usual bringing illegals (including drug smugglers, illegal drugs, terrorists, and worse) into the USA to satisfy the corrupt employers who want cheap slave labor? They can't turn back the clock far enough to reinstitute slavery, so the next best thing is to let in low/no education immigrants to work for slave labor wages, and simultaneously drive citizens out of the work force or lower us to the same wage scale. What is good for big business is good for America, RIGHT? I've read this over at Blogs4Brownback blog! If you go over to the web site of one of the illegal immigrant's front organization, La Raza, then look up the supporter list, you will be shocked to learn that nearly EVERY large corporation in the USA has signed on. Many of them are multinationals that have no allegiance to the USA anymore if they ever truly did. Most big corporations are now foreign owned. It is time to put some REAL teeth into employer sanctions and fines.

Have you wondered which lobby groups are pulling the strings? La Raza is a prime mover in giving direction to the Amnesty Pimps and Amnesty Whores in Congress and the White House. Here is a sample from the English Language side of the La Raza :

The awakening of America ... illegals are comin' out of the woodwork!

The awakening to the mass betrayal (rising to the level of treason, a death penalty offense in war time) from within the government of the elected representatives, senators, and sadly YES - even the President of the United States of America is finally happening. The lowest point of this loss of trust is that the media watchdog is part of the communist cabal and is cheering the treason on behind the scenes. This time last year most talk show hosts would devote a segment to it and move on to whatever the MSM was promoting as their favorite media camoflage.

The illegals brought it on themselves last year. Those huge rallies in 2006 with the waving of Mexican flags, burning and other forms of desecration of the stars and stripes, plus the posters and all the other things that go with a communist backed "in your face" demonstration were a wakeup call to many. El Rushbo took some minor notice but didn't seem as serious because other political topics were higher on the horizon. (Rush claims to have spent whole segments on it. A segment is that 5 minute period of commentary between shameless extended breaks for advertizing.)

Since then we have discovered that talk show hosts thought to be conservative are of the amnesty whore camp (like amnesty pandering Michael Medved and Tony Snow for instance). Tony Snow defected to a full time job as defender and press secretary of the Amnesty Pimp in Chief.

Bush is the Amnesty Pimp and his street corner Amnesty Whores are in the US Senate ready to service the illegal community (twenty dollar, no holler). The senators are of both major parties plus independents so this is not a party issue. It boils down to traitor Amnesty Whores on the illegal alien side and patriots on the side of the citizens.

Go over to the AARP politics forum and mention anything to do with illegal immigration and the troll indentified as LegalEagle (or his/her other sock puppets) will jump in and try to reverse the discussion by inferring that patriots are discriminating against poor hard working undocumented folks who just came here to make a better life for themselves and the rest of their extended multigenerational families. You know the spiel, the one that Bush, Kennedy, and McCain have trade marked as their "it is NOT amnesty" screed.

The MSM acts as if Iraq is the be all and end all for our decision as to who will be our next president. Social Security and Totalization Agreements

I wrote a letter objecting to the Social Security Totalization Agreement to Senator Carl Levin and he wrote back explaining why it is good to be able to send billions of our Social Security money to Mexico. Carl is up for re-election in 2008 and this will be a nail in his re-election coffin. I have filed his letter as a reference. He supported it in his vote in the senate for social security for illegals and then in S.2611.

The USA currently sends billions and billions (with pronunciation like Carl Sagan - beeel-yuns and beeel-yuns) of Social Security funds to the following countries under totalization agreements [and you wonder why social security is going broke. They get theirs BEFORE you get yours!]:

On June 29, 2004 a Bush team negotiated a Social Security giveaway totalization agreement with Mexico. It has not yet been transmitted to congress with a report.

On January 4, 2007, Republican Senator John Ensign introduced Senate Bill 43 (aka s.43) to change the way totalization agreements are approved.by requiring an affirmative vote by the Senate and House before an agreement can go into effect. S.43 is languishing in the Democrat controlled Senate Committee on Finance where it will probably die.

George W. Bush, for reasons known only to his therapist and pet snake, is intent on destroying America. His number one objective seems to be allowing enough peasants to come here illegally so that America itself will decay into a third-world cesspool akin to Mexico.

Excepting a few stalwart conservatives, the Bush plan to trash America has wide support from liberals who salivate at the prospect of 20-30 million new instant Democrats.

Profit-driven business tycoons with little or no concern for homeland security, U.S. sovereignty, rule of law, and preservation of American language and culture, are also eager to legalize millions of people who will work for below-minimum wage and without benefits.

Of course, elitists like Bush, liberal politicians, and business executives can dismiss valid concerns about the "Mexicanization" of America because their lives will be shielded from the devastation.

Elitists' children will attend private schools free from the hordes of non-English speaking invaders who impede the instruction of real American students

Elitists' homes will be in upscale residential areas where invaders cut lawns and scrub toilets, but cannot afford to live.

Elitists' churches and other places of worship will remain segregated by neighborhood and wealth.

In other words, to elitists like George W. Bush, greedy business people, and Democrats, the deterioration of America will be virtually invisible.

However, for what remains of America's middle and lower classes, the Mexicanization of America will mean an abrupt and bitter end to the American Dream.

Liberal spin-doctors will even try to sell the ruination of America as a good thing because, according to the socialist's pledge of allegiance, "Diversity is our greatest strength!"

What hope is there if elitists in power cannot or will not understand the stupidity of open borders and amnesty?

Perhaps a graphic, but simple, analogy might help.

Let's say you planned a grand birthday party to celebrate your daughter's 10th birthday. Your daughter's favorite treat is Dryer's deluxe ice cream so you plan to serve that delicacy on the big day.

On the day of the party, a liberal nut case crashes the party and heads for the ice cream vat. The interloper decides that the ice cream, although the very finest in the entire world, is too plain and thus decides to "spice up" the eagerly anticipated dessert.

She does so by adding a several scoops of potting soil to the vat of rich and creamy Dryer's ice cream.

In so doing, the liberal has achieved the highly-coveted socialist goal of "diversity."

Unfortunately, she has also ruined a vat of priceless ice cream, and destroyed a dream day for a precocious ten-year old.

Elitists must not be allowed to ruin our great heritage and culture for cheap labor, cheap votes, or very costly socialist schemes that would end the American dream for hundreds of millions of citizens who deserve much better!

[I have a suggestion for identifying the elitists. In every case we have seen so far, they are associated with one of the shadowy college groups like the 'skull and bones' society. Bushie is a 'bonesman' as is John Kerry. Both are pro-amnesty and I bet if we identify others we will find that they are a driving force in the Mexification of the USA.]

Banco de Mexico Says Most Mexican Emigrants Had Jobs in Mexico

In a previous article I pointed out that a high percentage of Mexican emigrants to the U.S. previously had jobs in Mexico. Well, according to a recent survey conducted by the Banco de Mexico, 6 of 10 Mexican emigrants had jobs in Mexico before emigrating to the U.S. [Seis de cada 10 migrantes dejan trabajo en México Jose Manuel Arteaga, Feb. 13th, 2007, Universal]

The Banco also revealed that 3/4 of Mexican emigrants surveyed had lower than a high school education, and only 5.6% had any college.

The most lucrative jobs for Mexicans in the U.S., according to the survey, are found working in construction, as chauffeurs or auto mechanics .

A Nightmare on USA Street

Has anyone else been feeling like they are living in a scary movie with the insane asylum running the USA?

We have unknown numbers of illegal alien criminals running free in the USA.

We have lunatic elected officials refusing to do anything about it because "there are too many of them and they have been here too long!" and "It is not practical to remove them!"

We have apologists, lobbyists, and other shills for these illegal alien criminals attempting to shift the balance of power so that the criminals will become legal residents.

We have supposedly conservative legislators supporting the flushing away of US sovereignty and trying to turn us into a multicultural sewage swamp like France. Next we will have sharia law forced down our throats by the anti-Christian Demicans.

I feel like I am in a waking nightmare!

I just heard John "Keating Five" McCain on the Hannity show once again claiming that he is against amnesty. Lieing bastard. He is one of the mechanics of S.2611 from last year and is neck deep in it with Teddy "Chappaquidic" Kennedy on this years version.

...and worst of all, I can not seem to wake up from this nightmare!

Preventing illegal immigration, particularly across the U.S.-Mexico border, may be impossible. With nothing but a long, porous boundary separating a land of opportunity from one with few prospects for its citizens, you don't have to be a prophet to predict the outcome. [This is why there was support for and a vote to construct a wall at the border. The socialist libs tried to compare it to their Berlin Wall, but that comaprison fails because we want to put it up to keep criminals border jumpers and assorted OTM terrorists out.]

An estimated 500,000 illegal immigrants flow into the United States annually. The country can't continue to absorb unchecked numbers of people. [Oh hell no, lets just make them ALL citizens then there is no problem. They come here, live off the the USA and then go home to Mexico after building a nice nest egg. Mean time all other citizens have been flushed down the crapper.] It needs comprehensive immigration reform that balances border security with a realistic and humane approach to dealing with the 11 to 12 million illegal aliens already here. [These liberal panderers whine about balance. Wait until the terrorists strike here in the USA again, maybe with a suitcase nuke or a dirty bomb, and then they will rage about why the border was left open, TOO LATE! Since when do we have to balance security with fairness to criminal border jumpers?]

A bill introduced in the U.S. House on Thursday takes a reasoned approach to the problem. It adds more border patrol agents, expands guest worker programs, penalizes employers who hire illegal workers, and creates a pathway to citizenship for many illegal immigrants. [Any pathway to citizenship as a reward for illegally entering the USA is amnesty and will encourage more illegals to come. History proves this point.]

It's similar to what the Senate and President Bush advocated last year, combining enforcement with practical ways to deal with current illegal immigrants. That makes more sense than the bill passed by the House last year that called for securing the border and little else, except branding illegal immigrants as felons and deporting them. [No it makes more sense for subscribers to boycott the GR Press as an amnesty pandering media outlet.]

Tossing out all the illegal immigrants is not a realistic solution. ["It's not practical." George Bush - The Republicrat Shamnesty Mantra] The country has neither the manpower, money nor will to roundup 12 million people and send them packing. [But we sure seem to have the money to pander to them, give them free medical care, offer them driving priveleges without the necessity of insurance or drivers licenses, free and subsidized education benefits not available to citizens, etc.] Such a purge would not only split up families [then take their families with them until they can arrrange for legal immigration papers, but do not cry a river to me about the poor illegal alien criminals who are just sweeties that want to become citizens if the panderers will have their way.], but various sectors of the economy that have come to depend on immigrant labor would take a hit as well. [These sectors (home, commercial, and road construction, manufacturing, slaughter houses, etc.) should have to pay HUGE fines, increasing exponentially with the number of illegals employed. Agriculture is where it started but they come to the farms and then go looking for greedy business that will hire an illegal over a US citizen.]

Recent raids nationwide on homes and workplaces to track down and deport illegal immigrants already have resulted in children being separated from parents or handed over to ill-prepared relatives. Children born here are citizens, even if their parents are here illegally. [They knew what they were doing, coming here illegally, breeding like cockroaches. The TOUGHSCHITSKI rule applies!]

They aren't subject to deportation. According to the Pew Center for Hispanic Research, three million American-born children have at least one parent who is an illegal immigrant.

Such numbers have caused some lawmakers to broach the idea of ending the birthright citizenship provision in the 14th Amendment. They say it's an inducement for pregnant women to cross the border to have their babies here, which increases their chances of staying as well. Many European countries have done away with birthright citizenship in the past few decades. But the immigration problem here must get precipitously worse before citizenship rights in the Constitution are narrowed. [They are already worse, you horses patootey. Look at the crisis with hospital and emergency rooms closing in border states because of the illegal alien crisis.]

The legislation introduced this week by Congressmen Luis V. Gutierrez, D-Ill., and Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., includes a citizenship provision for illegal immigrants that is anathema to some lawmakers, who see it as rewarding people for breaking the law. It may be distasteful, but there is no perfect solution to deal with the millions of illegal immigrants already here. [How could it be distastefull to you after licking the bottoms of their boots. You are the panderers to illegals. Hmmm I wonder how many illegals are employed in one way or another by the Booth News Group?]

Provisions should be made, if possible, [and you clearly think it isnt, so screw it, right?] to ensure that illegal immigrants don't jump ahead of people who have been waiting outside of the country for years to enter legally. But allowing those already here to earn citizenship if they meet requirements such as paying a fine, learning English, passing a criminal background check and paying back taxes seems reasonable. [There, they said it, AMNESTY is the only prcatical answer. Screw laws, and all it entails, according to the editor at the Grand Rapids Press.]
