It Could NEVER happen here in Panderland! (Yah! SURE!)

Banished Islamofascist Begs For Britain's Protection

Trackback to Captains Quarters:

Link to the original article:
From The Captain's Quarters...

O, the irony! Omar Bakri fled the UK after spending years preaching hate from his London mosque, and got out just ahead of a British deportation order. The Home Secretary banned him from ever returning to Britain after Bakri left -- for Lebanon. Now that the Hezbollah lunatics he supports started a war they cannot handle, Bakri now demands that Britain allow him to return -- on humanitarian grounds!

In the somewhat purple prose of the British tabloid, The Sun:

  • EXILED preacher of hate Omar Bakri has begged the Royal Navy to rescue him from war-torn Beirut.

  • The Muslim cleric who fled Britain last year, tried to board a ship full of women and children yesterday but was turned away.

  • He also wrote to the British embassy asking to be allowed back on “humanitarian grounds”.

  • In an email to officials, dole scrounger Bakri pleaded: “The current situation in Beirut left me without any choice but to appeal to you to grant me a visit visa to see my children for one month.”

Bakri left his family behind when he took off for Lebanon, and apparently they have not made much of an attempt to join him. They must have strong ties to Britain; Bakri himself spent twenty years in the UK after fleeing Syria in the wake of a coup attempt there. That is one of the reasons why Bakri begged Britain to allow him back; he's still a wanted man in Syria and cannot exit Lebanon through Damascus. Apparently the Assads like him even less than the British.

When he did leave Britain, he made it clear that he would never willingly return to the nest of infidels he had left behind. Just four months ago, he told reporters: “When I left England I bought a one-way ticket out. I never want to see the place again.” Now, apparently, he wants to make that a round trip.

Britain has thus far refused, and an evacuation crew kicked him off a ship in Beirut when he attempted to stow away. Why should they allow him to return? He preached hate and war, praised al-Qaeda, and railed endlessly about the evils of the West and Zionists. Now he finds himself in the middle of the war he actively demanded and pursued, and all of a sudden he wants the Western infidels to rescue him from it.

This could never happen here in the USA. The moonbats would find a way to get him back safely into a mosque where he could resume his preaching of hate and discontent for the USA. They would be saying how it is a "death sentence" to leave him there and that we are bigger than that! So far I have not seen any mention of humanitarian aid for him in the form of a US visa. It would not surprise me.

The "Nuge" is touring for Bouchard...

[I knew there had to be another good reason, besides Mike being a career lawman, that I liked him. Ted "The Motor City Madman" Nugent is headlining the Bouchard political tour!]

Nugent Headlines Bouchard Political Tour

Many Upper Peninsula residents are far too apathetic, said rock-and-roll “Motor City Madman” Ted Nugent during a visit to Escanaba Monday. But with the Aug. 8 primary right around the corner, residents must shake off their apathy and get out to vote, he said.

Nugent, a rock performer and well known outdoorsman who lives in Michigan, was working to raise voter support for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michael Bouchard. The two took part in a rally at the Delta County Airport Monday. Nugent told residents to scold those who don’t vote.

Nugent and Bouchard visited Escanaba as part of their “Quality of Michigan Life Upgrade Attack Tour,” which brought them statewide Sunday and Monday.

Bouchard said one of his top priorities is improving the economy. Wherever he travels in Michigan, he meets residents who’ve lost jobs, he said. “This is the time for a dramatic change,” said Bouchard, who aims to make Michigan more friendly to small businesses and entrepreneurs.

“We need to live within our means,” said Nugent. “It’s so simple it’s stupid.”

Bouchard said a second main concern is homeland security — securing the borders and protecting the country.

“We really need a change in Washington,” said state House Rep. Tom Casperson, R-Escanaba, who attended the rally to support Bouchard.

Carol Stock, Ensign Township, attended the rally to learn more about Bouchard, she said.

“With the primary election coming up, we need to find out more about the candidates,” added Escanaba Mayor Judi Schwalbach, who was also in attendance. “For Republicans, a decision needs to be made. When we cast our vote, it should be an informed vote. The more we can find out, the better our vote will be.”

For many residents in attendance, Nugent was an obvious highlight of the rally. Nugent’s passionate speech gained applause several times. “Do I or do I not speak for you when I speak,” he asked residents.

Philandery is nothing unusual to Democrats, it's even approved!

Breaking from NewsMax.com

Sen. Hillary Clinton Keeps Philanderer's Funds

Hillary Clinton accepted a $13,000 contribution to her campaign war chests from the husband of supermodel Christie Brinkley, whose marriage collapsed amid revelations that he’d cheated on Christie with a teenager.

[When I read the headline, I thought it referred to the philanderer in chief, rapist, sexual preditor, and liar, Der Schlickmeister himself. Maybe she should establish a "Philanderers For Hillary" PAC to accept doantions from this constituency. She knows and understands this group, being intimately involved with one herself.]

Architect Peter Cook, who wed Brinkley in 1996, had a nearly yearlong affair with wannabe singer and former employee Diana Bianchi, now 19, and gave her gifts of money, jewelry and a car. Both Cook and Bianchi have confirmed the affair.

Asked if she would return Cook’s donations, Clinton said: "I’ll have to look into it,” the New York Post reported. But aide Ann Lewis later said: "We do not intend to return his contributions.”

[The world would be shocked if she returned it. Philandery is well within the core of the paradigm of an amoral Democrat. It is seen by them as a badge to be worn proudly, if you are a Democrat. The EX-Senator Gary Hart days seem to be forgotten. What he did back then would get him re-elected nowadays. Ann Coulter has them pegged in her new book, "Godless".]

Keith Butler says...

MICHIGAN POLITICS

US Senate candidate Keith Butler:

In his television ad he says "When I am in the senate, I won't be controlled by anyone! I'll follow my conscience."

[That "anyone" includes you, the voter. We should be used to that with two pro-amnesty Democrat senators who routinely ignore us. Considering that Keith is pro-amnesty (he favors allowing the illegals who are here to get citizenship) that is a big admission and is a good reason to vote for Mike Bouchard, the career law man.]

Carl Levin is starting his 2008 reelection campaign early

From the newsletter of Saul Anuzis...

Senator Levin launches a web page for his re-election two ½ years before he is even up….I think he’s getting a little worried…a little early! Things are changing in Michigan and the Michigan Republicans are getting ready to lead the way!

http://www.carllevin.com

Check out this page:

http://www.carllevin.com/news/2006/04/16/americas-10-best-senators/

Carl Levin: The Bird-Dogger

No one would accuse Carl Levin of looking like Hollywood’s version of a U.S. Senator. He’s pudgy, balding and occasionally rumpled, and he constantly wears his glasses at the very tip of his nose.

Levin, 71 and first elected in 1978, says he considers congressional hearings a critical part of his job, spending as much as 20 hours prepping for each one so an evasive witness won’t outwit him. The former civil-rights lawyer is known for forcing embarrassing admissions from Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff and other Bush Administration officials through his precise questioning. “You’ve got to be very blunt and truly listen so you know when the b.s. is flying,” Levin says.

[Except when Democrats are pouring it into the whirling blades... No one slings bullshit like a Democrat! ]

Although admired by many Republicans for his diligence, Levin rarely sides with them. He opposed the Iraq war, and as the top Democrat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, he has become one of his party’s leading voices in criticizing President Bush’s conduct of the invasion, arguing that the Administration didn’t have enough troops in the early stages and, more recently, hasn’t focused enough on training Iraqi troops. But his carefully researched, thoughtful remarks carry great weight with his colleagues. “Nobody in the Democratic Caucus says anything on national-security issues without talking to Carl Levin,” says a top Democratic Senate staff member.

[Carl is VERY pro-illegal alien. Forget "Rule of Law", Carl is very "Rule of Pander". When an issue of citizen workers versus illegal aliens comes up, the citizens lose every time with Carl as they do with every other hard core leftist Democrat. Carl has morphed over the years from a civil rights lawyer to a hard core socialist ACLU type.]

Where is the IRS? Millions dissapear into...

Thanks and a salute to Saul Anuzis "That's Saul Folks!"

Where is the Grand Jury investigation into the dissapearance of millions of political dollars?

Jenny just made millions go away with no accountability? I can not believe that the IRS or the US Attorney General is uninterested.

How is any of this possible?

Where is the MSM outrage? If a Republican did this, there would be an organized lynching party.

Some interesting side questions...

Who are the Partners?

What favors and politicians did they purchase (aside from Granholm)?

Will Google! save Granholm?

Need a JOB in Michigan?

Ask Jennifer Granholm if

will grow enough to keep you here!

This is her flagship effort after years of inaction!

Pledge Protection Act HR 2389 - Note to Vern Ehlers (R-MI3)

Representative Ehlers,

I just received an email that lists the most recent votes by my Senators and Congressman.

You voted for the "Pledge Protection Act" HR 2389 to amend title 28, United States Code, with respect to the jurisdiction of Federal courts over certain cases and controversies involving the Pledge of Allegiance.

You voted to Protect the Pledge of Allegiance. Earlier you voted against the Flag Protection Amendment. In your view, people may urinate, defecate, and otherwise disrespect and physically destroy the symbol of the USA, but they must include the words "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance. One seems to be an "in your face" attempt to rile citizens to extreme anger and the other seems to be a freedom of speech and choice issue.

Please explain to this Vietnam vet why!

You speak out of both sides of your mouth, saying different things!

[NOTE: I support both issues but I am trying to get at why Vern is so two faced.]

Michigan Independents miffed at having to declare party affiliation

Thanks and a tip 'o the derby to Saul Anuzis "That's Saul Folks!"

From an editorial at the Flint joUrinal...

permalink:
The fLINT joUrinal

GO to the listed URL above to read the editorial...

My commentary:

Awwww poor pointy headed inane liberal pseudo-intellectuals...

[Flint joUrinal excerpt: Independent (Michigan) voters particularly should be upset over the plan that would make them declare publicly at the polls whether they want a Republican or Democratic ballot.(in the August 8th primary election) This is a step backward for Republicans who for years put the Democrats to shame by allowing all comers in their presidential primary, risking that nonparty members - even Democrats - might produce outcomes not in line with the GOP's base.]

I guess these "independents" do not understand that if they do not want to declare as a Republican or a Democrat in the Auguest 8 Primary Election, maybe they should see what other party best suits them and vote in that party's primary election.

What?

[] Green Party

[] Libertarian Party

[] American Communist Party

[] Etc.

...are not having a primary? Your party picks were made the day after the previous election?

Then why should we allow you to anonymously stack the deck for us? You helped fool everyone into thinking that John McCain was the Michigan GOP choice last time and he is only favored by the Yobs and a few other McCainiac toadies! He is a wacko RINO who shows signs of a seriously unstable personality disorder. He is not the type person we would want to have control of the "Football". When McCain makes that big jowly smile he does radiate a charisma though. Fortunately it has a very short half-life.

Tell ya what... go hold a "Gloom and Doom-fest" somewhere and get the MSM to cover it. Many of you normally vote Democrat anyway. Or better yet, go back in your closets until the day before the general election so you can be as clueless as you normally are. Most independents can not tell you who is running on what ticket unless they acquire a poll piece the day of the election. The general election on November 7th is open and independents can vote any way that blows their hair back as long as it is legal and either absentee or at their registered polling location.

[The italics inserted in the excerpt are comments of mine, not of the Flint Jourinal editorial author.]

The weekend chuckle...

Fabulous weather! The Muxkegon Air Fair yesterday was great. It is still going on today.and should be an equally great show.

I played 18 holes of golf today and the temperature is just right. I wanted to do another 9 but the other three players said they had other things to do today, so I agreed that I did too. Here I am. Maybe I will go work on the 20 meter phased array and get it working again.

Here are a couple of images I found on the net that struck me funny!

That's all for now!

Run, Newt, Run!

Thanks and a tip of the hat to Saul Anuzis "That's Saul Folks!" blog...

original article permalink: National Review

Run, Newt, Run!

Gingrich 2008?

By Rich Lowry

The casual TV viewer has probably noticed two things during the past few days — there’s a war in the Middle East, and Newt Gingrich is commenting on it.

Gingrich has been a ubiquitous analyst on the war — ubiquity being one of the tireless, outsized former House speaker’s favorite qualities. In between appearances in his role as a commentator for the Fox News Channel, Gingrich announced on Meet the Press that we are in the midst of World War III. A few days later, Hezbollah declared that it welcomed World War III, nicely capturing the moment: Simultaneous with its shooting war with Israel, Hezbollah is in a war of words with Newt Gingrich.

[The democrats would love to try to smear Newt, but their darling is far worse than anything that Newt did. I hope that Newt does decide to run in 2008.]

The Muskegon Air Show - THIS WEEKEND

Tomorrow I will be attending the Muskegon Air Fair. I need a day away from all of this, so this weekend may be a little sparse on the blog.

See this web site for info on the air show.

http://www.muskegonairfair.com/

See ya next week!

[I just got home... it was a great time. Famous Dave's Restaurant sponsored the chalet where we viewed the show from. Their BBQ pulled pork for sandwiches, ribs, and chicken were great. Also the refreshments were not lacking... beer, wine coolers, soda (Coca Cola products), sport drinks, bottled water, a great seating area from which to view the show. GREAT weather. There were many great flying demonstrations, including a MIG-17, and F-16, P-38, P-51, and other assorted old and new war birds. We even had a fly-by of a B2 bomber, and a few WWII bombers were available. Several flew and others were static displays. A C5 Galaxy was open for people to walk through... HUGE airplane. Like a bumblebee, it is amazing that it can fly! I am looking forward to next year's air show now.]

Keith Butler Watch - 19 days to the primary

Keith Butler is still maintaining his silence about deporting illegals. He makes all sorts of wild gyrations about how he is against amnesty (just like Bush, Frist, McCain, Brownback, Hagel, Martinez, et ilk) but steadfastly refuses to say that the long term illegals who have thumbed their noses at the law for many years must go. In truth, Keith is PRO-AMNESTY because he favors a PATH TO CITIZENSHIP for illegal aliens.

We do not want to replace one pro-amnesty senator ("Dangerously Incompetent" Debbie) with another who can not be honest about his position. Just like liberal Democrats, if he publicly announces his pro-citizenship for illegals, then he would not even have a prayer (other than his own as a Reverend). We need to be weeding out the pro-amnesty "bad apples" in the senate from our side of the aisle, and the Democrats need to reclaim their party from MoveOn/DailyKos/Dean and give the socialists a steel toed boot.

Sorry Keith! As a man of the cloth, your lack of candor is dissapointing and it disqualifies you as our candidate.

You might be good at Detroit politics, but we are not ready to inflict you on the USA.

Bouchard For US Senate!

Mike Hammer creator Mickey Spillane dies at age 88

Mike Hammer creator Mickey Spillane dies at age 88

By BRUCE SMITH, Associated Press Writer

CHARLESTON, S.C. - Mickey Spillane, the macho mystery writer who wowed millions of readers with the shoot-'em-up sex and violence of gumshoe Mike Hammer, died Monday. He was 88.

Spillane's death was confirmed by Brad Stephens of Goldfinch Funeral Home in his hometown of Murrells Inlet. Details about his death were not immediately available.

After starting out in comic books Spillane wrote his first Mike Hammer novel, "I, the Jury," in 1946. Twelve more followed, with sales topping 100 million. Notable titles included "The Killing Man," "The Girl Hunters" and "One Lonely Night."

Many of these books were made into movies, including the classic film noir "Kiss Me, Deadly" and "The Girl Hunters," in which Spillane himself starred. Hammer stories were also featured on television in the series "Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer" and in made-for-TV movies. In the 1980s, Spillane appeared in a string of Miller Lite beer commercials.

I am reading one of his Mike Hammer novels, BLACK ALLEY, and it is a shocker to me to hear this news. I have read all the Mike Hammer novels over the years.

Good bye, Mickey!

Senate rejects funding for Mexican Border Fence - Roll Call Vote

Once again senate RINOs drop the ball. The fence that was authorized by the senate for the Mexican border is really just a figament of their imagination. They proved it by rejecting the funding to build it.

Before you vote Democrat (or just walk away)...

Before you vote Democrat (or just walk away)...

...to punish those wascally RINOs in the senate and that pro-amnesty dude in the White House, think about this. Giving the Democrats a majority will accomplish the following:

  • Assured amnesty for multimillions of illegal aliens. This is EXACTLY what the Democrat Leadership wants, a new minority group to own.
  • Social Security will go down the toilet because it will be extended to the new minority group by the Democrats. AARP is a Democrat drone, so don't look for help there. They will toe the line and tell the silver hair crowd whatever MoveOn.org and DailyKOS tell them is the current party line.
  • Do you think the rebel RINOs didn't pay attention to you? Guess what? The new Democrat majority will give you the finger too.
  • All assurances aside, by this time next year, Bush will have been impeached and removed from office (some say this is the only desirable side effect).
  • We will have to wait at least 2 years to retake the House, and even longer to do the same with the Senate. It might take another generation to undo the damage that the Democrats can inflict in that short period of time.

The thoughts of revenge and giving Bush and the RINOs in the senate a good ass-whoopin' are tempting. [for their total disregard of citizens demands and the abject pandering to criminals that the senators and Bush did.]

Somehow we have to get the word out that the focus of this is the DEMOCRAT party line vote (39 of them) combined with 23 Republicans [in name only] to try to flush away the sovereignty and borders of the USA. The only fly in the ointment is the pseudo-conservative Republican president who is cheering all of this on. For all the high sounding words that spew from their mouths, none of them [Senate Democrats and Republicans] really give a damn about the safety and security of the USA, or they would have already done something about the illegal alien issue and securing the borders. Same for Bush. He has the example of how President Eisenhower handled illegal aliens 50 years ago. Instead, Bush says it is impractical to enforce the existing laws, forget about what the house passed. They all have stars in their eyes envisioning a glorious "North American Union" [Canada/USA/Mexico or CUM for short]. The citizens of the USA are the losers because this eliminates our borders and you can forget any good paying jobs staying here. Any manufacturing that does stay will have an all low wage work force, just like the maquilladoras in Mexico.

If the grassroots Democrats do not throw out their pro-amnesty representatives (House and Senate) then the country is lost. Democrats are the party of the ignoramuses who claim to be looking at who can give them the best deal right up to election day. When in doubt, vote for the yellow dog. Mostly they are too uninterested to learn anything about the candidates and just repeat the Democrat talking points. If the workers do not wise up, their union bosses and the willing management will have them all replaced by cheap alien labor. The union bosses are too deeply in thrall to the DNC and will do whatever they are told. They will get a cut of the wages of whichever group is under their thumbs, citizens or illegals.

The country's welfare safety net is another point of concern. It was instituted to help CITIZENS in their time of need and it has evolved into a primary support for illegals after they hit this side of the border. Their usage of a citizen safety net dilutes and overloads available services for citizens. The income tax situation is rigged as a support system for them too. They get to file for the Earned Income Credit and get a refund with nothing paid in. Guess who is footing the bill for this? It beats me how this can happen but it does.

If you are a Republican, please do NOT stay home. If you can not bring yourself to vote for the anointed one(s) of the party, you can still do a write-in.

PLEASE exercise your franchise and vote in the primary and general elections. If you do not, then the next time, it might be the illegal aliens voting and taking away your rights!

Here in Michigan, the Republican primary is AUGUST 8, 2006, and the general election (aka the midterm election) is November 7, 2006. Both are on Tuesday.

Democrat elections are held the next day.

House GOP senses shift in political winds

Just because some of us on the conservative side have decided not to abandon the party and sit out the election, do not think for a second that it frees you to on-the-sly pass an amnesty package (like the Pence "Backdoor Amnesty" Proposal) giving the criminal border jumpers a shot at citizenship. That is a move that could make this the last term in office for any who think the voting public will forgive and forget. We have spoken loudly as voting citizens in the recent past and we are watching. The RINOs in the senate are doing the truffle shuffle trying to make us forget their S.2611 treachery by dragging out all sorts of near and dear conservative issues. No RINO in the senate should think that we will suddenly forget S.2611 and nominate them for the presidency in 2008. I support the "Isakson Principle". Certified border security FIRST! Then we will discuss a "guest worker" with no citizenship attachment.

No Amnesty - GOT IT? (If not, Google it!)

Primaries are coming soon, and we WILL remember in November. Any betrayal after the election, and retribution at the ballot box will be the result in 2008.

[This was sent to The Hill editors via Congress.org]

The lapdog MSM has tried its damnedest to ignore the illegal alien issue or to minimize its importance. It has been our job to keep it front and center.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION IS A NATIONAL "GRASS ROOTS" ISSUE

Any guesses which one?

Time to lighten the mood a little.

I found this joke on "The Stupid Jedi"

Three prominent Arkansas surgeons were playing golf together and discussing challenging surgeries they had performed.

One of them said, "I could be the best surgeon in Arkansas. A concert pianist once lost 7 fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England."

The second surgeon, not to be outdone, said, "That's nothing. A young man lost an arm and both legs in an automobile accident, I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold medal in field events in the Olympics."

The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Some years back, a local gal got high on cocaine and marijuana, stole a neighbor’s horse and rode the horse head-on into a freight train traveling 80 miles an hour! All I had left to work with was the gal’s blond hair and the horses rear end. Today she's a prominent Senator from New York State."

Today on El Rushbo's show...

I tuned in because I had heard that the Milwaukee guest host was supposed to be OK.

After the first 45 or so minutes of non-stop World Cup soccer, I tuned out. I went over to the local FM classic rock station, WBFX "The Fox Rocks".

I do not give one good little damn about soccer and World Cup.

I wonder how Rush's show ratings fared around the country today?

To Maha Rushi... ditch the Milwaukee bastard. He really sucked! I thought I had the local sports talk station on for a while and rechecked my channel setting. At least when Rush talks about sports (Football, Golf, etc.) he is interesting.

How Ike handled illegal aliens in the 1950s, "Operation Wetback"

From Christian Science Monitor

[excerpted, go to the link above for the full article ]

How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico

By John Dillin

WASHINGTON – George W. Bush isn't the first Republican president to face a full-blown immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.

[But unlike Ike, George Bush is refusing to enforce the law, thus violating his oath of office. Instead he is holding out for amnesty for the millions of criminal border jumpers in residence, plus the hoard streaming across the border in anticipation of his largesse. George does not have the will or the spine to enforce the law. He is too busy leading the belly-crawling pander brigade as they crawl up to the illegal aliens to lick the bottoms of their boots.]

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents - less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

Senator Fulbright had just proposed that a special commission be created by Congress to examine unethical conduct by government officials who accepted gifts and favors in exchange for special treatment of private individuals.

General Eisenhower, who was gearing up for his run for the presidency, said "Amen" to Senator Fulbright's proposal. He then quoted a report in The New York Times, highlighting one paragraph that said: "The rise in illegal border-crossing by Mexican 'wetbacks' to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels of the Federal Government."

[note: This is absolutely rampant now, and it is why we see such political resistance to deporting illegals. This is why our El Presidente says it is impractical to deport all the illegals. Many businesses have become absolutely dependent on cheap illegal labor and would fold if they had to pay a living (or even a minimum) wage. The pandering pro-amnesty crowd has gotten much smarter too... they get their people into positions of leadership in the Senate and on the important committees. The next fight will be to oust them from these positions.]

According to the Handbook of Texas Online, published by the University of Texas at Austin and the Texas State Historical Association, this illegal workforce had a severe impact on the wages of ordinary working Americans. The Handbook Online reports that a study by the President's Commission on Migratory Labor in Texas in 1950 found that cotton growers in the Rio Grande Valley, where most illegal aliens in Texas worked, paid wages that were "approximately half" the farm wages paid elsewhere in the state.

Profits from illegal labor led to the kind of corruption that apparently worried Eisenhower. Joseph White, a retired 21-year veteran of the Border Patrol, says that in the early 1950s, some senior US officials overseeing immigration enforcement "had friends among the ranchers," and agents "did not dare" arrest their illegal workers.

[This is the case today. Many are convinced that it is totally moral to hire an illegal alien at slave labor wages to make a profit and drive down the wage base of American citizens. Very heavy political pressure is brought to bear when the border patrol rounds up illegals. Our El Presidente is a prime mover for porous (or even non-existant) borders and cheap Mexican slave labor. This is why I say to question your local politicians about moral beliefs concerning illegal aliens and their deportation.]

In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.

Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement, Brownell said. But General Swing's close connections to the president shielded him - and the Border Patrol - from meddling by powerful political and corporate interests.

One of Swing's first decisive acts was to transfer certain entrenched immigration officials out of the border area to other regions of the country where their political connections with people such as Senator Johnson would have no effect.

Then on June 17, 1954, what was called "Operation Wetback" began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.

Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, Swing arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free.

Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Vera Cruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles south.

The sea voyage was "a rough trip, and they did not like it," says Don Coppock, who worked his way up from Border Patrolman in 1941 to eventually head the Border Patrol from 1960 to 1973.

[We could do the modern day equivalent with some of our military transport aircraft (C5A Galaxy, C130, etc) and WWII surplus parachutes. After a few static line drops of illegal aliens deep in the interior of Mexico, remote from any cities, I wonder how many would stay here to be rounded up for the next drop.]

[Now Bush has stacked the management of the Border Patrol with his own hand picked staff from the Secret Service. There is currently no promotion from within to management ranks of the Border patrol. Bush has DIRECT control of how the immigration laws will be enforced. That is why these recent showcase roundups of a few illegals are a media sham. Bush has no intention of enforcing immigration law or he would have done so long before now.]

1. End the current practice of taking captured Mexican aliens to the border and releasing them. Instead, deport them deep into Mexico, where return to the US would be more costly.

2. Crack down hard on employers who hire illegals. Without jobs, the aliens won't come.

3. End "catch and release" for non-Mexican aliens. It is common for illegal migrants not from Mexico to be set free after their arrest if they promise to appear later before a judge. Few show up.

Know the positions of your local politicians

Get to know your local politicans.

Do not feel nervous about asking what their positions are on subjects such as illegal aliens and how they should be handled. If we had this information on hand before, we might not be in the situation of a rebel senate and president making a traitorous stand at giving away the security and sovereignty of the USA. They are trying to meld us into their world vision of a North American Union as our answer to the European Union. Apparently they are globalists at heart and this information escaped notice until now when they are actually hatching the plot. They have MSM support so this will never leak from there. In fact they will try to trivialize it until the conspiracy has gone so far as to be dificult to reverse.

Get to know your local politicians. All politics starts at the grass roots. Local polisiticans become city, county, state, and eventually national politicians given the proper climate. What seems harmless at the local level can be devastating to the country.

Michigan's Lame Duck Tax Shift (Redux)

In Michigan politics: Collecting taxes six months EARLY! Next summer (2007) they collect the whole county winter 2007 tax in the summer of 2007. It then becomes a permanent part of the summer tax. Now they have a gaping hole to fill in the winter tax.

The summer 2005 tax bill contained the first one third of the tax shift that was rammed through by a group of pro-tax legislators from both sides of the aisle. The upcoming 2006 Summer Tax bill will contain 2/3 advanced county tax of this coming 2006 winter's tax bill. All this thanks to those listed below. This is an election year, so you can see if you recognize any names who are seeking an elective position this year. If this disturbs you as it did me, let them know that you do not appreciate a tax boost. A tax collected EARLY is a tax increase.

Who were the legislators who rammed this through in the midnight session?

Here is a list voting YEA:

In the 2004 Senate: Allen(R), Basham(D), Birkholz(R), Brater(D), Clarke(D), Emerson(D), Garcia(R), George(R), Hammerstrom(R),Hardiman(R), Jacobs(D), Jelinek(R), Johnson(R), Kuipers(R), Leland(D), Olshove(D), Prusi(D), Schauer(D), SIKKEMA(R), Stamas(R), Switalski(D), Thomas(D), VanWoerkom(R)

...and the 2004 House: Accavitti(D), Adamini(D), Bieda(D), Brown(D), Byrum(D), Caul(R), Clack(D), Condino(D), Dennis(D), DeRoche(R), DeRossett(R), Elkins(D), Emmons(R), Farrah(D), Gaffney(R), Gieleghem(D), Gillard(D), Gleason(D), Hart(R), Hopgood(D), Howell(R), Jamnick(D), Rick Johnson(R), Koetje(R), Kolb(D), Kooiman(R), Lipsey(D), Meisner (D), Meyer(R), Minore(D), Murphy(D), Newell(R), O'Neil(D), Palsrok(R), Phillips(D), Plakas (D), Pumford(R), Rivet(D), Sak(D), Shackleton(R), Shaffer(R), Sheltrown(D), Shulman(R), Stallworth(D), Steil(R), Tabor(R), Van Regenmorter(R), VanderVeen(R), Walker(R), Waters(D), Wenke(R), Whitmer(D), Williams(D), Wojno(D), Zelenko(D)

I will be repeating this periodically so you don't forget who has done it to you! If your taxes are up again this winter, go after your local and county officials too. They now have your tax money to blow EARLY and a void to fill in the winter tax bill. Never forget that this didn't become law without the signature of the Granholm tax machine.

This was posted to editors at Detroit News, The Lansing Journal, Kalamazoo Gazette, Grand Rapids Press, and others. No verifiers called. They apparently didnt consider this as worthy and would rather have you forget all about it.

Granholm (and Democrats in general) never saw a tax they didn't like! Their grand plan is to tax us all into prosperity! Looks like a substantial number of Republicans decided to join them.

Check out this political ad!

We need more of this type of representative! Vern Robinson from North Carolina...

http://vernonrobinson.com/twilightzone3.shtml

No lack of traitors, where to start?

I have been hearing talk on talk radio about the New York Times Espionage case and how we should fairly try them and fairly hang them.

We need to bring back the good old fashioned public hangings. We could hold a raffle for who gets to pull the lever for the traps.

---

While we are at it, we should go back and take a look at John Kerry, his activities in 1971, his discharge from the navy, and how he could possibly qualify to become a member of the Legislature. At the very least, Kerry deserves a tar-n-feather party, and a ride on a hitchin' rail out of DC. Anyone got a hitchin' rail we can borrow?

U.S. Constitution 14th Amendment part 3

3. No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

By the constitution, he can only be given absolution from this by a vote of the congress and that has NEVER happened in his case.

U.S. Code 18 U.S.C. 953 Private correspondence with foreign governments

Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.

All the above seems pretty clear to me. What is crystal clear is that Kerry has powerful guardians somewhere in the government to keep him from being properly investigated and prosecuted.

UCMJ 904. ART. 104. AIDING THE ENEMY

Any person who--

(1) aids, or attempts to aid, the enemy with arms, ammunition, supplies, money, or other things; or

(2) without proper authority, knowingly harbors or protects or gives intelligence to or communicates or corresponds with or holds any intercourse with the enemy, either directly or indirectly; shall suffer death or such other punishment as a court-martial or military commission may direct.

Where is the Naval Investigative Service and the Judge Advocate Generals office? Why has this criminal, John Kerry, not been investigated and punished?

Obama: The Godless must seduce the Evangelical Christians

Obama: Democrats must court evangelicals

The Detroit News-AP
to read the whole article!

By DAVID ESPO

AP Special Correspondent

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Sen. Barack Obama chastised fellow Democrats on Wednesday for failing to "acknowledge the power of faith in the lives of the American people," and said the party must compete for the support of evangelicals and other churchgoing Americans.

"Not every mention of God in public is a breach to the wall of separation. Context matters," the Illinois Democrat said in remarks to a conference of Call to Renewal, a faith-based movement to overcome poverty. [more]

[According to Democrats it is perfectly OKAY to use the word [damn] after HIS name by way of context. It will be interesting to see how Liberal Democrats weave together a scanario to mainstream their vision of Jesus the Homosexual Abortionist.]

Senate Joint Resolution 12 - The Flag Protection Amendment

The list of co-sponsors plus the official roll call vote of the senators

IT DID NOT PASS! One additional supporter was needed in the Senate. Check the list below. If your senator(s) are not on it, then they contributed to the downfall of the flag protection amendment. Debbie Stabenow supported it. Debbie is up for re-election. Carl Levin voted against. Carl is not up for re-election. Just shows how plastic our legislators are.... Remember!

A letter from Baghdad about espionage, subversion, and sedition at NYT

Source Permalink: Powerline Blog
http://powerlineblog.com/archives/014515.php

Lt. Tom Cotton writes this morning from Baghdad with a word for the New York Times:

Dear Messrs. Keller, Lichtblau & Risen:

Congratulations on disclosing our government's highly classified anti-terrorist-financing program (June 23). I apologize for not writing sooner. But I am a lieutenant in the United States Army and I spent the last four days patrolling one of the more dangerous areas in Iraq. (Alas, operational security and common sense prevent me from even revealing this unclassified location in a private medium like email.)

Unfortunately, as I supervised my soldiers late one night, I heard a booming explosion several miles away. I learned a few hours later that a powerful roadside bomb killed one soldier and severely injured another from my 130-man company. I deeply hope that we can find and kill or capture the terrorists responsible for that bomb. But, of course, these terrorists do not spring from the soil like Plato's guardians. No, they require financing to obtain mortars and artillery shells, priming explosives, wiring and circuitry, not to mention for training and payments to locals willing to emplace bombs in exchange for a few months' salary. As your story states, the program was legal, briefed to Congress, supported in the government and financial industry, and very successful.

Not anymore. You may think you have done a public service, but you have gravely endangered the lives of my soldiers and all other soldiers and innocent Iraqis here. Next time I hear that familiar explosion -- or next time I feel it -- I will wonder whether we could have stopped that bomb had you not instructed terrorists how to evade our financial surveillance.

And, by the way, having graduated from Harvard Law and practiced with a federal appellate judge and two Washington law firms before becoming an infantry officer, I am well-versed in the espionage laws relevant to this story and others -- laws you have plainly violated. I hope that my colleagues at the Department of Justice match the courage of my soldiers here and prosecute you and your newspaper to the fullest extent of the law. By the time we return home, maybe you will be in your rightful place: not at the Pulitzer announcements, but behind bars.

Very truly yours,

Tom Cotton

Baghdad, Iraq

[ed: The New York Times is plainly hiding behind the first amendment to give aid and comfort to their allies by blatantly publishing information known to them to be secret intelligence data. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.]

Keith Butler is still PRO-AMNESTY

Amnesty 101 (continuing education)

A carefull check of his campaign web site shows that Keith Butler is still very carefully and studiously avoiding any mention that he is in favor of a path to citizenship for the 10-20 million illegal alien criminals that infest the USA. He tries to use strong language to say that he is very much against amnesty, just ths same way that McCain, Frist, Martinez, and even Bush have done. In a previous face to face contact with Scott Greenlee, Keith's roving talking-head, I found out that Keith supports a path to citizenship for these criminals. He favors letting them stay and earn citizenship. [hint: AMNESTY] Since that time, nothing has changed. I have been singularly unsuccessfull at getting any word about DEPORTATION directly from Keith.

Keith Butler is PRO-AMNESTY

A vote for Keith Butler is a vote for citizenship for illegal aliens!

[So far, Keith has appeared at some BIG BUX fund raisers but is shy about showing up in person at the Kent County GOP monthly meetings. I think he is waiting until after the primary election to avoid any questioning face to face about his pro-amnesty position of earned citizenship for alien criminals.]

The Great Phoni...

We've been hearing that Algore is making a resurgence and that he is ressurecting his tired old "Global Warming" song.

Friday, June 23, 2006

I've got a question, Mr. President...

President Bush,

Something is bothering me about how the whole upper management of the Border Patrol is made up. It used to be professionally Border Patrol, top to bottom.

Now when I look at an organizational chart, ALL upper management positions are from the Secret Service. What ever happened to promoting from within?

You will never convince me that there are no promotable ICE field agents.

The Miami Terrorist Wannabes

They pledged themselves to what they thought was the Al Qae
