Senate votes funds to build border fence

Wed Aug 2, 5:32 PM ET

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Senate on Wednesday overwhelmingly approved $1.83 billion to construct a triple-layered fence along the southwestern border to keep illegal immigrants out of the country.

In a vote of 94-3, the Senate embraced the amendment to a fiscal 2007 defense spending bill expected to pass this week.

"By passing my amendment today, we are sending a signal that we are serious about stopping the flow of illegal immigrants over the border," said Sen. Jeff Sessions (news, bio, voting record), the Alabama Republican who wrote the amendment.

Corporations supporting illegal aliens? The AXIS...

Do you wonder who the power brokers are that gives The President and the RINOs in the Senate such large cojones to ignore a vast majority of the voting public?

This has become an entrenched conspiracy over the last 40+ years supported by politicians from all parts of the political spectrum. It doesn't seem to matter which party controls the White House or the Senate. The control is through a three legged platform I call the AXIS after the WWII axis, and President Reagan's Axis of Evil.

Here is THE AXIS in the current political climate:

  • El Presidente Jorge Bush
  • The US Senate (23 RINOs and 39 Democrats)
  • Large Corporate Employers (listed below)

The senate players are known and may be listed from other articles on this blog. The Corporate players are listed below and the list originates from the official list on the web site of The National Council of La Raza (referred as NCLR after this).

Here is your corporate list of supporters (the third leg of the AXIS) for illegal aliens.

[Now we can see why McCain, Frist, Hagel, Brownback, Martinez, and the rest of the RINO coalition gave a big "phuque yew" to the voters. They have been bought and paid for by lobbyists from the above list. McCain is the real dissapointment after his campaign fianance reform debacle (McCain-Feingold) which attacks the First Amendment.]

Illegal immigration agenda is not a civil rights movement!

Illegal immigration agenda is not a civil rights movement!

http://snipurl.com/u5pa

Chairman of CA Democratic African American caucus pans illegal immigration

Activist Ted Hayes is right, illegal immigration has lowered wages and pushed African Americans out of the building trades and service jobs that were our opportunity to have the American dream. Illegal immigration has also strained education and healthcare services in distressed communities, disproportionally affecting African Americans.

The illegal immigration agenda is not a civil rights movement. The civil rights movement called for dignity and opportunity for all Americans. African American soldiers died for this country when they were not able to get the benefit at home of full citizenship. African Americans are first and foremost Americans ˜ we are not going back to any other country; our home is here. African Americans have given their hearts and souls to this country ˜ that is what makes you a citizen.

No Compromises, No Amnesty!

I was sitting here thinking before hitting the sack.

Here are my thoughts on the standoff between the US patriots in the House of Representatives and the pro-criminal alien AXIS (note 1).

[1] There must be no passage of any portion of S2611. It is flawed and corrupt, start to finish.

[2] The AXIS may block or refuse to consider the House enforcement only bill (HR4437).

[3] There is no political will in the AXIS to enforce the current laws on the books which are totally adequate to remove the illegal alien criminals and penalize the criminal employers who entice border jumpers with jobs. Any new legislation will have the same lack of enforcement.

Since the AXIS ignores the will of the citizens and refuses to enforce our laws, any new laws passed for show are worthless, undesirable, and a waste of time.

This midterm primary election and the following general election must be used to cleanse the legislature of traitors who are pro-amnesty. If they are for any path to citizenship for illegal aliens, they are for amnesty. The ONLY acceptable path to citizenship for them is to go back to their country of origin, apply for the proper imigrant visa, and wait for its issue.

A lack of movement on a compromise from the House is preferrable to any compromise of S2611. That bill is unworkable and should be considered to be dead.

At this time, keep good notes about ALL of the legislators who are pro-amnesty. We will be doing this all over again in TWO YEARS going into the 2008 presidential election year.

As Spock said...... REMEMBER!

No Compromises! No Amnesty!

[notes]

(1) The AXIS - The George W Bush White House, US Senate RINOs and Democrats, and the criminally liable Employers of criminal illegal aliens.

Time To Start A Patriotic Immigration Conspiracy

By Juan Mann

In taking a step back from the immigration and National Question orbit recently, I discovered the fascinating work of economic freedom heroine Catherine Austin Fitts. Here’s probably the most significant piece of advice she gives to freedom-loving Americans: stop worrying that there’s a conspiracy against you . . . you need to start one!

In the immigration law enforcement sphere, VDARE.com readers across America are already forming the building blocks of an immigration law enforcement conspiracy. The trouble is that the plan is still in its formative stages, the parties don’t know each other and aren’t collaborating…and all of the pieces of the puzzle haven’t even been dreamed up yet.

But nevertheless, there is great cause for hope. Through the miracle of the internet (as Peter Brimelow frequently points out), there’s a formidable assemblage of brain-power among the broad coalition of folks visiting VDARE.com just waiting to be tapped.

The Treason Lobby has made millions profiting from the illegal alien invasion over the years. Now it’s time for patriotic Americans to put their heads together and figure out some contrary incentives, monetary and otherwise, to get some immigration law enforcement rolling in America again.

I regularly see some great conspiracy ideas are scattered throughout my e-mail in-box.

Here’s some of the latest wisdom of three entirely unrelated VDARE.com readers, which I’ve fashioned into one downright smashing conspiracy . . . if I do say so myself.

Here’s the plan: put illegal alien-hiring companies under surveillance, report their illegal alien workers, figure out a way to take down their businesses using the muscle of the Internal Revenue Service—all while making money in civil class action lawsuits against them too!

Now start conspiring! . . . legally, of course.

It’s time for patriotic Americans to put our heads together.

To read the whole article...

[...and it is worth reading!]

How immigrants are viewed

Legal immigrants are viewed favorably, unlike their illegal brethren...

[pop quiz: Find a LEGAL immigrant in this picture. Count the number of illegal aliens in this picture. How many of these droll faces would rather be waving a Mexican flag? Why is the I.C.E. not there rounding them up for deportation?]

For many Hispanics, this debate is about their future, Bendixon (a Hispanic pollster in Florida) said, "about whether they are welcome in this country."

[There is no mystery here. If you are part of the Rio Grande Synchronized Swim Team, or the Tijuana Tap Dance Across The Border Team that has covertly arrived in the USA, then you are NOT WELCOME in this country. If you went through the steps of getting your papers to immigrate legally, then the welcome mat is out.]

The Pew poll found that most Hispanics believe discrimination against them has increased because of the immigration debate.

[I would say that it is probable that discrimination against ILLEGAL ALIENS has increased if that is what you mean. If you are here illegally, GET THE HELL OUT OF MY COUNTRY! If you do not leave voluntarily, we will deport you and see to it that you have a record so you may never come back legally. Is that discriminatory enough for you? After the massive demonstrations and Mexican flag waving earlier this year by illegal aliens to demand citizenship, it is no wonder that we feel that you should now get the hell out of our country.]

"The way that immigrants are treated is sort of the proxy for how the Latino community is viewed," said Clarissa Martinez de Castro, state policy director for the National Council of La Raza, the nation's largest Hispanic civil rights group. "When you hear the vitriolic debate on immigration in this country, what do you think of? When you belong to that ethnic group, you feel it."

[No... legal immigrants are treated just fine. They are WELCOME in the USA because they came here LEGALLY. Legal immigrants are also disturbed by front organizations for criminals like La Raza, because you espouse criminal rights which do not exist. Coming to the USA is a privelege extended by the USA, not a world right. Illegal aliens may be discriminated against legally and freely because they are criminals whose first act was to violate our laws and whose continuing actions are violations of our laws. We need laws to crack down on criminal support organizations such as La Raza, and La Cosa Nostra. Wait, we do have RICO and other laws that are aimed at organized crime. La Raza fits the bill perfectly as a front for a hispanic mafia. Hmmm gotta think on this some more!]

Senate reject funding for Mexican border fence

Once again senate RINOs drop the ball. The fence that was authorized by the senate for the Mexican border is really just a figament of their imagination. They proved it by rejecting the funding to build it. They could have proved that they were serious about at least part of their legislation.

Before you vote Democrat (or just walk away)...

Before you vote Democrat (or just walk away)...

...to punish those wascally RINOs in the senate and that pro-amnesty dude in the White House, think about this. Giving the Democrats a majority will accomplish the following:

  • Assured amnesty for multimillions of illegal aliens. This is EXACTLY what the Democrat Leadership wants, a new minority group to own.
  • Social Security will go down the toilet because it will be extended to the new minority group by the Democrats. AARP is a Democrat drone, so don't look for help there. They will toe the line and tell the silver hair crowd whatever MoveOn.org and DailyKOS tell them is the current party line.
  • Do you think the rebel RINOs didn't pay attention to you? Guess what? The new Democrat majority will give you the finger too.
  • All assurances aside, by this time next year, Bush will have been impeached and removed from office (some say this is the only desirable side effect).
  • We will have to wait at least 2 years to retake the House, and even longer to do the same with the Senate. It might take another generation to undo the damage that the Democrats can inflict in that short period of time.

The thoughts of revenge and giving Bush and the RINOs in the senate a good ass-whoopin' are tempting. [for their total disregard of citizens demands and the abject pandering to criminals that the senators and Bush did.]

Somehow we have to get the word out that the focus of this is the DEMOCRAT party line vote (39 of them) combined with 23 Republicans [in name only] to try to flush away the sovereignty and borders of the USA. The only fly in the ointment is the pseudo-conservative Republican president who is cheering all of this on. For all the high sounding words that spew from their mouths, none of them [Senate Democrats and Republicans] really give a damn about the safety and security of the USA, or they would have already done something about the illegal alien issue and securing the borders. Same for Bush. He has the example of how President Eisenhower handled illegal aliens 50 years ago. Instead, Bush says it is impractical to enforce the existing laws, forget about what the house passed. They all have stars in their eyes envisioning a glorious "North American Union" [Canada/USA/Mexico or CUM for short]. The citizens of the USA are the losers because this eliminates our borders and you can forget any good paying jobs staying here. Any manufacturing that does stay will have an all low wage work force, just like the maquilladoras in Mexico.

If the grassroots Democrats do not throw out their pro-amnesty representatives (House and Senate) then the country is lost. Democrats are the party of the ignoramuses who claim to be looking at who can give them the best deal right up to election day. When in doubt, vote for the yellow dog. Mostly they are too uninterested to learn anything about the candidates and just repeat the Democrat talking points. If the workers do not wise up, their union bosses and the willing management will have them all replaced by cheap alien labor. The union bosses are too deeply in thrall to the DNC and will do whatever they are told. They will get a cut of the wages of whichever group is under their thumbs, citizens or illegals.

The country's welfare safety net is another point of concern. It was instituted to help CITIZENS in their time of need and it has evolved into a primary support for illegals after they hit this side of the border. Their usage of a citizen safety net dilutes and overloads available services for citizens. The income tax situation is rigged as a support system for them too. They get to file for the Earned Income Credit and get a refund with nothing paid in. Guess who is footing the bill for this? It beats me how this can happen but it does.

If you are a Republican, please do NOT stay home. If you can not bring yourself to vote for the anointed one(s) of the party, you can still do a write-in.

PLEASE exercise your franchise and vote. If you do not, then the next time, it might be the illegal aliens voting and taking away your rights!

House senses shift in political winds

Just because some of us on the conservative side have decided not to abandon the party and sit out the election, do not think for a second that it frees you to on-the-sly pass an amnesty package giving the criminal border jumpers a shot at citizenship. That is a move that could make this the last term in office for any who think the voting public will forgive and forget. We have spoken loudly as voting citizens in the recent past and we are watching. The RINOs in the senate are doing the truffle shuffle trying to make us forget their S.2611 treachery by dragging out all sorts of near and dear conservative issues. No RINO in the senate should think that we will suddenly forget S.2611 and nominate them for the presidency in 2008. I support the "Isakson Principle". Certified border security FIRST! Then we will discuss a "guest worker" with no citizenship attachment.

No Amnesty - GOT IT? (If not, Google it!)

Primaries are coming soon, and we WILL remember in November. Any betrayal after the election, and retribution at the ballot box will be the result in 2008.

A laundry list for ridding ourselves of the illegal alien infestation

My solution to illegal aliens... this will only be workable after Bush is gone from DC and the senate is sanitized of most of traitor senators who refuse to uphold our nations laws.

[1] We need to start identifying at the grass roots level, all soft headed pro-amnesty turds to keep them from gaining any elective office. All politics flows toward the sewer of DC.

[2] We need to fire all the current "Secret Service" management at the Border Patrol and put professionals back in charge.

[3] We need to stop businesses from hiring illegal aliens. Stiff fines up to and including confiscation of the business property to be sold at auction should be a stiff enough penalty to start. Prison sentences starting at one year for first offense, two years for second, 10 for third, for hiring and employing illegals. This goes especially for those shadow slave markets, the "Temp Services".

[4] We never needed a hard border (fences, wall, etc.) in the past, but it has become necessary. If Bush had cojones bigger than poppy seeds, the fence/wall would not be needed now. He only has to look to the past to see how President Eisenhower handled illegal aliens (Operation Wetback) and do likewise. Bush will not!

[5] We never needed any type of military presence on our south border before but since the Mexican Army is aiding illegal aliens, this too is necessary. The Bush solution: Send paper shufflers and bean counters from the National Guard. A few sharpshooters will work wonders. If the Mexican army wants in on the shooting. I bet we can smoke a few of them too.

[6] We need a new "Operation Wetback - New Millenium" with Border Patrol agents sweeping states for illegals. Massive roundups on the scale that was achieved during the Eisenhower administration are easily achievable now and will have the same results today. Only Bush and the Pro-Amnesty Senate Democrats and RINOs stand in the way of enforcement of the laws already on the books.

[7] We need a few internment camps out in the desert areas to hold new captures until they can be dumped into the interior of Mexico away from the border.

[8] We need to use a method that is sufficiently scarey for repatriation of illegals that they will think twice about coming back under anything but LEGAL immigration means. This could include air-dropping them by static line parachute jumps from a C5A Galaxy or maybe a C-130. The drops should be made far enough into the interior to remote areas that it would be exceedingly dificult to trek back to the border.

[9] Number 3 up above will be the key to keeping any new illegals from wanting to cross the border illegally. Lacking that, the other items will be necessary in some form.

Why am I such a hardass on this? I have watched and read all the literature I can find from La Raza about Reconquista, and I am ANGRY! FUCK 'em all... This is MY country, not theirs. I served it with 4 years active duty in the Navy and am not ashamed to tell them to take a hike back to where they came from!

LEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!

Senate Sellout Brownback's "Widows And Orphans" Madness

More on the Senate Sellout Attrocity from Vdare.com

For years, Senator Sam Brownback (R.-Kansas) has tried to legislate a so-called humanitarian visa category for "widows and orphans." In the latest debate, not only did the Senator succeed in removing an amendment from S2611 that would have strengthened "expedited removal" for bogus asylum seekers, but he was able to include his "relief for widows and orphans" act in the bill. [Sec. 506. The "Widows and Orphans Act of 2006"]

Awww! Who can be against "Widows and orphans"?

Except that according to Brownback’s bill, a "widow" is anyone determined "to be a female who has a credible fear of harm related to her sex; and a lack of adequate protection from such harm."

And under "orphans" we find anyone determined to be under "18 years of age… for whom no parent or legal guardian is able to provide adequate care; who faces a credible fear of harm related to his or her age; who lacks adequate protection from such a harm; and for whom it has been determined to be in his or her best interest to be admitted to the United States." [italics added]

OK—so we are to understand that "widows and orphans" is shorthand for the world’s infinite oppressed and helpless.

Got that? It does not mean, well, "widows" and "orphans"…any more than “refugees” necessarily means “refugees.”

Ironically, Senator Brownback has already successfully thwarted an attempt to resettle "widows and orphans"Somali Bantus, in this case—in his own state of Kansas. He said that they "would not work well in Kansas," telling Kansans that he "contacted the Department of State asking them to not resettle any Somali Bantus in the state of Kansas." [Brownback clarifies position on refugee issue: No Bantu” By Rob Roberts, Johnson County Sun, October 17, 2001]

How Ike Handled Illegal Aliens, "Operation Wetback"

From Christian Science Monitor

[excerpted, go to the link above for the full article ]

How Eisenhower solved illegal border crossings from Mexico

By John Dillin

WASHINGTON – George W. Bush isn't the first Republican president to face a full-blown immigration crisis on the US-Mexican border.

[But unlike Ike, George Bush is refusing to enforce the law, thus violating his oath of office. Instead he is holding out for amnesty for the millions of criminal border jumpers in residence, plus the hoard streaming across the border in anticipation of his largesse. George does not have the will or the spine to enforce the law. He is too busy leading the belly-crawling pander brigade as they crawl up to the illegal aliens to lick the bottoms of their boots.]

Fifty-three years ago, when newly elected Dwight Eisenhower moved into the White House, America's southern frontier was as porous as a spaghetti sieve. As many as 3 million illegal migrants had walked and waded northward over a period of several years for jobs in California, Arizona, Texas, and points beyond.

President Eisenhower cut off this illegal traffic. He did it quickly and decisively with only 1,075 United States Border Patrol agents - less than one-tenth of today's force. The operation is still highly praised among veterans of the Border Patrol.

Senator Fulbright had just proposed that a special commission be created by Congress to examine unethical conduct by government officials who accepted gifts and favors in exchange for special treatment of private individuals.

General Eisenhower, who was gearing up for his run for the presidency, said "Amen" to Senator Fulbright's proposal. He then quoted a report in The New York Times, highlighting one paragraph that said: "The rise in illegal border-crossing by Mexican 'wetbacks' to a current rate of more than 1,000,000 cases a year has been accompanied by a curious relaxation in ethical standards extending all the way from the farmer-exploiters of this contraband labor to the highest levels of the Federal Government."

[note: This is absolutely rampant now, and it is why we see such political resistance to deporting illegals. This is why our El Presidente says it is impractical to deport all the illegals. Many businesses have become absolutely dependent on cheap illegal labor and would fold if they had to pay a living (or even a minimum) wage. The pandering pro-amnesty crowd has gotten much smarter too... they get their people into positions of leadership in the Senate and on the important committees. The next fight will be to oust them from these positions.]

According to the Handbook of Texas Online, published by the University of Texas at Austin and the Texas State Historical Association, this illegal workforce had a severe impact on the wages of ordinary working Americans. The Handbook Online reports that a study by the President's Commission on Migratory Labor in Texas in 1950 found that cotton growers in the Rio Grande Valley, where most illegal aliens in Texas worked, paid wages that were "approximately half" the farm wages paid elsewhere in the state.

Profits from illegal labor led to the kind of corruption that apparently worried Eisenhower. Joseph White, a retired 21-year veteran of the Border Patrol, says that in the early 1950s, some senior US officials overseeing immigration enforcement "had friends among the ranchers," and agents "did not dare" arrest their illegal workers.

[This is the case today. Many are convinced that it is totally moral to hire an illegal alien at slave labor wages to make a profit and drive down the wage base of American citizens. Very heavy political pressure is brought to bear when the border patrol rounds up illegals. Our El Presidente is a prime mover for porous (or even non-existant) borders and cheap Mexican slave labor. This is why I say to question your local politicians about moral beliefs concerning illegal aliens and their deportation.]

In 1954, Ike appointed retired Gen. Joseph "Jumpin' Joe" Swing, a former West Point classmate and veteran of the 101st Airborne, as the new INS commissioner.

Influential politicians, including Sen. Lyndon B. Johnson (D) of Texas and Sen. Pat McCarran (D) of Nevada, favored open borders, and were dead set against strong border enforcement, Brownell said. But General Swing's close connections to the president shielded him - and the Border Patrol - from meddling by powerful political and corporate interests.

One of Swing's first decisive acts was to transfer certain entrenched immigration officials out of the border area to other regions of the country where their political connections with people such as Senator Johnson would have no effect.

Then on June 17, 1954, what was called "Operation Wetback" began. Because political resistance was lower in California and Arizona, the roundup of aliens began there. Some 750 agents swept northward through agricultural areas with a goal of 1,000 apprehensions a day. By the end of July, over 50,000 aliens were caught in the two states. Another 488,000, fearing arrest, had fled the country.

Unlike today, Mexicans caught in the roundup were not simply released at the border, where they could easily reenter the US. To discourage their return, Swing arranged for buses and trains to take many aliens deep within Mexico before being set free.

Tens of thousands more were put aboard two hired ships, the Emancipation and the Mercurio. The ships ferried the aliens from Port Isabel, Texas, to Vera Cruz, Mexico, more than 500 miles south.

The sea voyage was "a rough trip, and they did not like it," says Don Coppock, who worked his way up from Border Patrolman in 1941 to eventually head the Border Patrol from 1960 to 1973.

[We could do the modern day equivalent with some of our military transport aircraft (C5A Galaxy, C130, etc) and WWII surplus parachutes. After a few static line drops of illegal aliens deep in the interior of Mexico, remote from any cities, I wonder how many would stay here to be rounded up for the next drop.]

[Now Bush has stacked the management of the Border Patrol with his own hand picked staff from the Secret Service. There is currently no promotion from within to management ranks of the Border patrol. Bush has DIRECT control of how the immigration laws will be enforced. That is why these recent showcase roundups of a few illegals are a media sham. Bush has no intention of enforcing immigration law or he would have done so long before now.]

1. End the current practice of taking captured Mexican aliens to the border and releasing them. Instead, deport them deep into Mexico, where return to the US would be more costly.

2. Crack down hard on employers who hire illegals. Without jobs, the aliens won't come.

3. End "catch and release" for non-Mexican aliens. It is common for illegal migrants not from Mexico to be set free after their arrest if they promise to appear later before a judge. Few show up.

Alternatives, without abandoning your party

This past week a few of us got together to have a cup of coffee, gab about the weather, golf handicaps, about how the media is trying desperately to force feed "World Cup Soccer" to us, The Detroit Tigers, etc... all the important things in life!

Then someone brought up how many Spanish speakers seem to be in the area lately, and not just fruit pickers either! This eventually got around to the disgracefull situation of watching US Senators belly crawling to lick the boots of illegal aliens. [It wasn't said in quite those terms but gives you the idea! The language used was a little coarse!] We were at a loss as to how to handle a rebel legislator that is the anointed one of the party, take it or leave it.

The Answer! Start small, talk to others. Find people of similar mind. Start a local poster campaign for a write-in candidate. Eventually, if the legislator has pissed off enough people, the write-in candidate should gain some traction. The anointed one is chosen by party insiders. By going the "write-in" route you have a voice in who will represent you. Ahhh but there are primaries, you say. And those primaries are conducted by the parties who select the anointed ones.

Politics really does start at the grassroots level!

Too much work? Then vote for an "anointed one". Or do what a lot of others do... take a pass and go do something else when you should be voting. WRONG CHOICE!

At least go vote and use the write-in option! Even the new polling places with electronic screens must provide paper ballots for the write-in votes. An absentee ballot is on paper and provides a place for write-in candidates.

THE ‘ISAKSON PRINCIPLE’

excerpts from: The HILL - Battling over Border

Source Permalink:
http://www.thehill.com/thehill/export/TheHill/News/Frontpage/070506/news1.html

THE ‘ISAKSON PRINCIPLE’

Sessions and DeMint have endorsed what is being called the “Isakson principle” — a model, named for Sen. Johnny Isakson (R-Ga.) that would predicate any further immigration-law reforms on federal certification that the U.S. border with Mexico is secure.

Supporters of the Isakson principle oppose the Senate’s citizenship provisions but say they could negotiate guest-worker provisions if the borders are secure.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said last week that his position against the path to citizenship is “not negotiable.”

[ed: I am in full agreement with this!]

Like Sessions, DeMint has yet to consent to a conference.

“I’m encouraged that Republicans are uniting around securing America’s borders first, and that has to be the focus of any conference,” DeMint said in a statement provided by his office. “I’m hopeful we can pass comprehensive reform built on the Isakson principle, but Democrats will have to given up their insistence on amnesty for anything to move.”

[ed: Once again, I AGREE. The amnesty thing is a devils pact between Bush, the RINOs and the DNC represented here by the Senate Democrats. Collectively they all appear to have sold their souls to the devil for a chance at a new minority groups to own. At least we know that the Democrats (and possibly the RINOs) are totally animal amoral and probably do not collectively possess a soul amongst themselves. After all they are the godless coalition that Annie Coulter has told us about.]

In announcing his arrangement with Reid, Frist hinted at the remaining roadblocks by timing the start of a conference to the end of the House field hearings, which are expected to run through August.

“After the House finishes its hearings, we will begin the vital work of crafting a final bill,” Frist said.

[ed: Only with the agreement of the REAL conservatives in the Senate. We know that you (Frist), Specter, Hagel, Martinez, Brownback, Dewine, and more are RINOs and pretenders to being conservative Republicans. In reality you are oath breakers and traitors to the country who are trying to dissolve the sovereignty of the USA.]

The House immigration hearings begin...

....in San Diego — and another by the same panel Friday in Laredo, Texas...

"My mission is to investigate our border security shortcomings post-9/11," said Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA40) (voting record) of Fullerton, chairman of the International Relations subcommittee on International Terrorism and Nonproliferation. "The problem is that border security has become national security."

The Democrats, more concerned about obtaining power than with border or national security, are going to try to turn the hearings into a media circus to embarrass the Republicans.

Democrats initially considered boycotting the hearings, but will treat them as a platform to assail an enforcement-only approach to immigration reform, said Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA27), a Sherman Oaks Democrat. The Democrats are very much for amnesty for alien criminals. They show little regard for rule of law preferring their own "Rule of Pander".

House GOP leaders called the hearings last month in a blow to President Bush's ambitious election-year ploy that includes a guest worker program and path to citizenship for millions in the country illegally — as does a Senate-approved bill backed by Specter. (pssst! AMNESTY for illegal alien criminals)

Republicans on the panel include Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado, a leading voice for a crackdown on illegal immigration, and Rep. Peter King (news, bio, voting record) of New York, chairman of the House

Homeland Security Committee, who broke with the White House on immigration.

Senator Specter (RINO-PA) is expected to start his own three ring circus to try to convince us as to why we are supposed to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. There is speculation that Specter will be joined by some of the Democrat pro-amnesty minority leadership. S.2611 passed because a minority of Republicans, popularly known as RINOs or Republicans In Name Only, joined with a majority of Senate Democrats. The Republican Party takes the hit because they are the majority party. S.2611 is really a Democrat bill supported by a minority of soft headed, spineless, wobbly Republicans including the Committee Chairman, RINO Specter.

On another note, other CITIZEN minorities, such as the blacks, are slow to recognize how amnesty for illegals will set them back as the Democrats discard them in favor of the new minority class (the legalized border jumpers). The Senate Amnesty gives the illegals SUPER-CITIZEN status.

No Amnesty - GOT IT?

Amnesty actually gives illlegals more rights than citizens

Saturday, July 01, 2006

Detroit News

> Thomas Sowell:

Amnesty actually gives illlegals more rights than citizens

Some people are worried that amnesty will give illegal aliens the same rights that American citizens have. In reality, it will give the illegals more rights than the average American citizen.

Since most of the illegals are Mexican, that makes them a minority. Under affirmative action, combined with amnesty, they would have preferences in jobs and other benefits.

Those who set up their own businesses would be entitled to preferences in getting government contracts. Their children would be able to get into college ahead of the children of American citizens with better academic qualifications.

Illegals who graduate from a high school in California can already attend the University of California, paying lower tuition that an American citizen from neighboring Oregon.

Under the supposedly "tough" immigration bill in the U.S. Senate, illegals don't have to pay all the back taxes they owe. An American citizen gets no such break from the government and can end up in federal prison, like Al Capone.

If an American citizen gets stopped by the police for a traffic violation and the cops discover that he is wanted for some other violation of the law, they can arrest him for whatever else he has done.

But if an illegal alien gets stopped for going through a red light and the police discovers that he is in the country illegally, in many communities the cop is forbidden to arrest him for that -- or even to report him to the feds.

If an American citizen forges a Social Security card to get a job, he can be arrested. Under a provision recently passed by the Senate, illegal aliens who forged Social Security cards not only get a pass, they get to collect Social Security benefits.

The great majority of Senators who voted for that provision were Democrats, and they prevailed because they were joined by a small minority of Republicans, led by -- surprise! -- Sen. John McCain of Arizona. After similar defections on judges and free speech, McCain may give opportunism a bad name.

What the immigration bill in the Senate has become is just another attempt to pander to another special interest, in disregard of how that affects the country as a whole.

Much is made of the fact that there are supposedly 12 million illegals in the country already. The last time illegal aliens were given amnesty, back in 1986, that led to even more illegal aliens coming in afterwards.

Do we want 20 million or 30 million more illegal aliens in the future? Do we want to change the very composition of the American population, and with it the values of the country?

There was a time when immigrants came here to become Americans. But there are powerful pressure groups in this country, extending far beyond the immigrant community, doing their best to keep foreigners foreign and force Americans to accommodate their foreign language and culture in the name of "multiculturalism."

We have seen what havoc such notions and practices have created after mass immigration under "guest worker" programs in Europe, especially after the Muslim riots in France. Do we want that in the United States?

Most of the first generation of immigrants may want nothing more than a chance to work and will be happy to be here instead of in Mexico. But second generations born in this country compare their situation not with the situation in Mexico but with what other Americans around them have.

There are plenty of people, both inside and outside the immigrant community, who will fan their sense of grievance and exploit their resentments. This is not peculiar to people from Mexico. Europe has already experienced this.

Both the facts of the past and the dangers of the future are being ignored in the rush to give immediate benefits to illegal aliens, washed down with much talk about border control but no requirement that the border actually be controlled before these benefits go into effect.

The political strategy of this package deal legislation is to give immediate and irrevocable special benefits to some and make pious promises about the future to get all this past the others.

Know your local politicians

Get to know your local politicans.

Do not feel nervous about asking what their positions are on subjects such as illegal aliens and how they should be handled. If we had this information on hand before, we might not be in the situation of a rebel senate and president making a traitorous stand at giving away the security and sovereignty of the USA. They are trying to meld us into their world vision of a North American Union as our answer to the European Union. Apparently they are globalists at heart and this information escaped notice until now when they are actually hatching the plot. They have MSM support so this will never leak from there. In fact they will try to trivialize it until the conspiracy has gone so far as to be dificult to reverse.

Get to know your local politicians. All politics starts at the grass roots. Local polisiticans become city, county, state, and eventually national politicians given the proper climate. What seems harmless at the local level can be devastating to the country.

Illegal Aliens displacing firefighters?

Cross posted from The Uncooperative Blogger

I just watched a gentleman on Fox News who was a supervisor for Bush Fire Fighters and he was demoted for not being able to speak spanish. He said 35-45% of the fire fighters he has trained were hispanics who only speak spanish. Hmm, I wonder if they could be here illegally?

He went on to explain they are hiring more and more hispanics because the contracts for fighting the fires are bided on and the lower the bid, the more points you get. See, they are paying the illegals less money so they can bid lower.

So, this U.S. Citizen lost his job because of illegal alien invaders, this makes me sick.
