Whooping cough is BAAAaaaaack!
[Sorry 'bout the long hiatus away from the blog. I have been doing some posting over in my main blog but have really felt burned out. Here is an article that covers a part of why we MUST get control of our borders.Last spring, one of my grandchildren was disgnosed with whooping cough and all the rest of us were put on antibiotics because we had been in contact. My wife and I were on a 5 day ZithroMax treatment. We have no idea how the grandkids may have come into contact with pertussis but this is one of those diseases that was thought to have been stamped out in this country. Wrong! Un-vaccinated illegal aliens are bringing in all sorts of diseases and bledding hearts are all for letting it continue because it enriches their wallets. Blame Bush, Pelosi, McCain, Brownback, Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, and a majority of the elected Democrats in the US House and Senate. Many senate Republicans are at fault too.]

Whooping cough outbreak linked to illegals
December 4th, 2007
Once again, doing the job Americans won?t do - and that is spreading
diseases that were mostly eradicated in this nation. This is a DIRECT
result of allowing millions of people to enter this country illegally
who are NOT SCREENED for DISEASES. Thanks to George Bush who
refuses to secure our borders. I hope his family catches Whooping Cough.
Oh that?s right. His family will never have a chance to come into
contact with this disease or any other because they live in their own
little high society where they rarely brush shoulders with illegal
aliens like WE are forced to. God Damn elitist!

So Huckabee
wants to be your President? Well, the past can come back to
haunt
Gov. Hucksabee...
From WND
<http://www.worldnet
daily.com/ news/article. asp?ARTICLE_ ID=58430> :A lingering
controversy over the role former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee played in
establishing a Mexican consulate office in Little Rock financed by
taxpayers and local businesses continues to follow the Republican
presidential candidate's campaign, even as he enjoys a surge in polls.
Critics
in Arkansas contend Huckabee worked with some of the state's most
prominent and politically powerful businesses to draw illegal immigrants
to the state to accept low-paying jobs.
Huckabee strongly denied
the charges in a telephone interview with WND yesterday. He may deny it,
but my previous reporting backs this charge up:
Just like McCain,
Bush, Frist, Brownback, and other belly crawling panderers, the denial
of an amnesty position is a common thread among them.

LITTLE
ROCK - In a impassioned speech before hundreds of influential Hispanic
civil rights leaders from across the nation, Gov. Mike Huckabee told a
captive audience Wednesday that America is great because it has always
opened it doors up to people seeking a better way of life.
"Do
unto others as you would have others do unto you," Huckabee said, citing
the Golden Rule. "I have tried to govern that way and it stands to
reason that I really do believe that what made this great country so
great and so unique is that it has always been a place for people to run
to - and not run from.
"I would hope that no matter who we are,
or where we are from, that America should always be a place that opens
its arms, opens it heart, opens its spirit to people who come because
they want the best for their families ...," Huckabee said as the largely
Hispanic audience gave him a standing ovation.
Huckabee was the
keynote speaker, along with Tyson Foods Inc. Chairman and CEO John
Tyson, at a noon luncheon of the League of United Latin American
Citizens, which is holding its 76th annual convention in Little Rock.
About
10,000 political, community and business leaders, along with exhibitors
and speakers are in Little Rock attending the convention at the
Statehouse Convention Center. The convention started Monday and runs
through Saturday.
Although he never actually talked about the
U.S. or Arkansas immigration policy, Huckabee made it very clear where
he stood on the issue. In his opening remarks, he said the nation will
need to address the concerns of the Hispanic community because of its
growing influence and population base.
"Pretty soon, Southern
white guys like me may be in the minority," Huckabee said jokingly as
the crowd roared in laughter.
He told the LULAC delegates that
their presence in the state's capital city was very important because
Arkansas has one of the fastest growing Hispanic populations in the
nation.
"Your gathering is so very significant for our state,"
Huckabee said. "We are delighted to have you."
Despite
several light moments, Huckabee did not stray away from several
controversial issues that made him a target of criticism during the
recently ended 85th General Assembly. He said Arkansas needs to make the
transition from a traditional Southern state to one that recognizes and
cherishes diversity "in culture, in language and in population."
"This
is an issue that is going to require extraordinary efforts on both sides
of the border, particularly those coming from Mexico," Huckabee said of
verifying the status of illegal aliens. "But I am confident that our
government will recognize that we should accommodate people who wish to
provide the best opportunities for their families (and) employers so
that we can make sure our economy has the necessary work force."
During
the legislation session, Huckabee criticized an immigration bill by
Republican senators Jim Holt of Springdale and Denny Altes of Fort Smith
as un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life.
Senate
Bill 206, which died in the Senate, would have required proof of
citizenship to register to vote and also force state agencies to report
suspected cases of people living in the country illegally. Holt,
R-Springdale, replied later to Huckabee's comments that Christian
charity does not include turning a blind eye to lawbreaking. That is all
I
need to know about this man. We don't need another El Presidente in this
country. No manner of explanation or spin will make me vote for this man.
So,
we have seen the raids on Tyson foods and are boycotting them for hiring
illegal aliens, let's see what theCEO of Tyson Foods has to say... Tyson
also credited LULAC leaders for pushing the company to add Hispanics to
the Tyson board and promote more Latinos to upper management and
executive positions.
He also said in that last 15 years, the
number of Hispanics that work for the Arkansas company has increased
significantly.
"I am proud to tell you that more than 40,000 of
our workers are Latinos," Tyson said of the company's 114,000 employees.
"We are learning, growing and benefiting from that diversity." Well, I
guess that explains all the illegal aliens hired by Tyson Foods, huh?
I think that it is amazing what politicians will say when they think
no one is really paying attention. The defense then becomes that the
words are being taken out of context. No contextual errors are apparent
in the above reporting. Another point to consider: Public Health None
of the illegal aliens come from places where immunizations are common,
so they can be considered to be disease carriers. Tuberculosis is one of
the reintroduced diseases that had been thought to be eradicated in the
USA.

The Bird Feeder Analogy
permalink: http://www.rogueriver. tzo.com/blogginon/ archives/2007/ 10/entry_1102.html
This was emailed to me. I am passing it along to you.
The Bird Feeder Analogy
I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with birdseed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it was, as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.
But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue. Then came the poop! It was everywhere, on the patio tile, the chairs, the table...everywhere!
Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. The other birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.
After a while, I couldn't even sit on my own back porch anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.
Soon, the back yard was like it used to be...quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.
Now let's see.....
Our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.
Then the illegals came by the tens and hundreds of thousands, millions. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because half the class doesn't speak English. Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press one' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than 'Old Glory' are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. When asked why they breed like cockroaches, the reply is that it is a cultural thing.
Just my opinion but, maybe its time for the government to take down the bird feeder. If you agree, pass it on; if not, continue cleaning up the poop!
note: Certain politicians want to achieve parity in living standards of others by lowering us to third world status. It is NOT a party thang! Panderers come in all political flavors, such as Teddy Kennedy, Carl Levin, B. Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Frist, Sam Brownback, John McCain, Rudy Giuliani, Ron Paul, etc.

Why is public health tied to immigration and politics?
Q: Why have diseases that have been considered to be eradicated in the USA re-appeared and are in some cases drug resistant?
A: Illegal aliens are bringing these diseases over the border with them. In nearly 100% of the cases, the illegals have never had any childhood innoculations for any of the cases that are now coming to light here.
Federation for American Immigration Reform
The impact of immigration on our public health is often overlooked. Although millions of visitors for tourism and business come every year, the foreign population of special concern is illegal residents, who come most often from countries with endemic health problems and less developed health care. They are of greatest consequence because they are responsible for a disproportionate share of serious public health problems, are living among us for extended periods of time, and often are dependent on U.S. health care services.
Public Health Risks
Because illegal immigrants, unlike those who are legally admitted for permanent residence, undergo no medical screening to assure that they are not bearing contagious diseases, the rapidly swelling population of illegal aliens in our country has also set off a resurgence of contagious diseases that had been totally or nearly eradicated by our public health system. Mainstream Iowan
Illegals Not Screened For Infectious Diseases Before Entering U.S.
When doctors told Francisco Santos he had tuberculosis Friday, health officials said the Gwinnett County 17-year-old refused to believe it.
Then the wiry, dark-haired youth refused to submit to any treatment. Worse, he said he was walking out of the Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville and heading back to his home country of Mexico, officials said.
Gwinnett health officials found themselves in a bind. They had a person with a case of active, contagious tuberculosis, refusing treatment and threatening to carry the disease to a foreign country.
Will, the county health attorney, said Santos was detained because he is a public health threat.
"He has active, contagious TB," Will said Saturday. "He is at risk of communicating that with anybody he comes in contact with."

Also HIV is a growing concern from some regions of the world. Illegal aliens from those parts of the world contribute to the the continuing spread of HIV in the USA.
