Pennsylvania Legislation Seeks to End Sanctuary Cities in PA
Pennsylvania Legislation Seeks to End Sanctuary Cities in PA
Good news for all Pennsylvania residents?. I wonder if Reading, Norristown and Philadelphia will get the memo that their days as ?sanctuary cities? are numbered? I urge you to call your PA rep and tell them you support the entire legislation package sponsored by Daryl Metcalfe? It?s ALL good as they say and is a BIG step in the right direction for Pennsylvania.
I live near Norristown and it makes me SICK to see an entire section of the ?West End? turned into a Little Mexico. The sign at the bottom of the strip says ?Historic Shopping District? but it should say ?Historic Puebla Mexico? instead.

A GOP and DNC common boiler plate issue
Here is a shared GOP and DNC campaign issue this year. The Democrats are known as the pander party, and at least for this election, the GOP joins in the pander chorus. If a known unrepentent belly crawling panderer is the standard bearer then the GOP is the party of pandering too.
Here is GOP and DNC boiler plate:
[If you want to use this image, copy it to a free image
hosting site.]
Over the past two years (2006-2007) we have seen a variety of supposedly rock solid Republicans come out of the closet on the issue of softening the immigration laws, giving some form of amnesty to illegal alien border jumpers and those who have overstayed visas that expired. They want unrestricted immigration in the form of multi-millions of easily gained green cards which will morph over time into permanent residency papers, followed by easy fast track citizenship to get them into the voting booth.
It turns out that approximately half the Republicans in the US Senate and virtually ALL the Democrat senators are belly crawling amnesty panderers.
We have been recruiting the best and brightest legal immigrants but what the politicians want is the lowest, uneducated, disease carrying peons that Mexico is more than willing to ship to us, their welfare class.
This year, our choice (Republican or Democrat) is a LOSE-LOSE proposition, There is no Lesser of Two Equal Evils.
The choice is between a pair of "Boll
Weevils". [This is a little play on words. There is a band
called "The Presidents of the United States" that did a song "Boll
Weevil"
]
When the choice is so equally bad that we have to compare down the laundry lists, what can we do?
[a]Hold you nose, close your eyes, and vote for a bad candidate,
[b]Toss the McCain- Obama lose-lose coin and hope it lands on its edge,
[c]write-in a candidate or
[d]check out the available third parties.
Items a and b are unacceptable, so check out your options c and d.
This year, Bob Barr, ex-congressman from Georgia, changed from the Republican Party and is running as the Libertarian candidate for president.
I will not tell you what he stands for. You go take a look for yourself and decide whether you want to choose a real American patriot or between the lesser of two weevils.

On this Memorial Day let us remember...
On this Memorial Day...
My political statement and pictorial essay:
Some proud of America, some not so proud...
...and that we have politicians in D.C. who are willing to flush this away!
All three current stooge candidates for president are willing to pander to criminals. All 3 have a 100% pro-amnesty voting record.
Let us also remember and be vigilant...
He wants your citizen rights... yours will go away in favor of his!

Senate Committee Passes Amnesty as part of Iraq Appropriations Bill
Cross posted from "Bloggin on down the Rogue"
There seems to be a complete disconnect between Senators in DC and the working citizens of the USA. This is nothing new though because the three remaining presidential candidates, the Three Stooges (Moebama, HilLarry, and CurleyCain), are all supreme panderers to the illegal alien component of all the immigrants that they want to flood the country with. The dearest wish of all these politicians is to kick all current workers out of their jobs and replace them with no-wage/low wage workers/slaves. Sounds a bit facetious but it is true nonetheless. They will deny it with words but will vote for it in committee and on the senate floor.
Message from Roy Beck, NumbersUSA.com...
THE INCREDIBLE INGREDIENTS OF THE SENATE'S NOXIOUS AMNESTY STEW
Rosemary Jenks (our Vice President, Government Relations) just called me after finishing reading the Iraq supplemental spending bill as it came out of committee. It would:
Grant a three-year work visa followed by a permanent greencard to all illegal aliens who have been working as shepherds, goat herders and dairy herders.
Grant a five-year work visa to the estimated 1.3 million illegal aliens working in other agricultural jobs -- plus all of their families. There is no instruction on what happens after the five years.
Grant a tripling of the maximum number of H-2B visas for lower skill, non-agricultural seasonal workers.
Grant industries an extra 218,000 additional permanent green cards for skilled foreign workers.
Friends, perhaps you are thinking what I'm thinking: Don't these Senators know that we are in an economic recession, or close to it? Don't they know that unemployment rates have been going up and that industries across the country are shedding both skilled and unskilled jobs?
If ever you doubted that U.S. Senators live lives disconnected from ordinary Americans, you could see it Thursday as 17 of them fell all over themselves to drastically increase the number of foreign workers allowed to hold U.S. jobs!
RIDICULOUS CLAIMS ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF FOOD WITHOUT AN AMNESTY
Senators Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.), Larry Craig (R-Idaho) and Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.) led the way to protect our economy from having to figure out ways to hire some of the 14 million-plus American workers who are trying to find a job but can't.
Especially interesting is their claim that we will fail to harvest crops and feed the world this year without an amnesty for illegal aliens. They made the same claim in each of the last four years. Each time that we beat back the amnesty, the harvests still happened! How many times does Feinstein have to cry wolf (or rotting crops) before people stop paying attention?
Of course, the outlaw businesses that scream for illegal aliens do have more to fear this year because various enforcement policies (federal, state and local) are beginning to drive more and more illegal aliens home.
What we have to constantly remind everybody, though, is that each of these outlaw growers at any time can come clean, go straight and become a legal, patriotic member of the business community by importing any needed foreign ag workers through the H-2A temporary worker program. There is no limit on how many they can import as long as they pay them decently and ensure that they go home.
The North Carolina Growers Association has used the H-2A visa program for years and opposes all efforts at amnesty for illegal alien ag workers. If the program works fine for North Carolina farmers, why do farmers in other part of the country insist that only illegal aliens will fit the bill?
THE VERY LOW CRITERIA FOR QUALIFYING FOR AN AG AMNESTY
Rosemary says you don't have to have spent much time in the fields to qualify for Feinstein and Craig's amnesty.
You only have to meet ONE of the following three criteria to get the amnesty:
Earned $7,000 working in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period.
Or worked 863 hours in agriculture during the 2004-2007 period.
Or worked at least a little bit in agriculture on 150 different days during the 2004-2007 period.
That amounts to an average of $1,750 per year ...
... or 216 hours per year (the equivalent of 4 hours per week) ...
... or parts of 37 days per year.
DO THEY THINK THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ARE STUPID AND THAT WE COULD POSSIBLY ACCEPT THAT ILLEGAL ALIENS WORKING THAT LITTLE IN AGRICULTURE ARE ESSENTIAL TO THE SURVIVAL OF AGRI-BUSINESS IN AMERICA!!!!!!
The answer is that they really hope we are that stupid or just incredibly unfocused. All the right-wing business lobbyists, leftist organizations, religious groups and news media who tried to force the amnesty last year are cheering this thing on.
We beat them last year because the American people FOCUSED for a few weeks and told the U.S. Senators who is their boss.
Will you please do everything you can to enlist a small army in your community to fight this?
Please keep coming back to our home page several times a day to read the latest news on the Senate amnesty battle.
Thanks, Roy Beck NumbersUSA.com
===
note:
(May 16) At yesterday's markup of the Iraq supplemental appropriations bill, the Senate Appropriations Committee committed an outrageous act of disrespect for our men and women in uniform and to the citizens of this country by adopting an amendment by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) that gives amnesty to illegal-alien agricultural workers. The copy of the amendment obtained by NumbersUSA indicates a maximum of 1.35 million illegal aliens, plus their families, could obtain "emergency agricultural worker status" for a five-year period. However, the amendment also provides for an adjustment of status, which paves the way for permanent legalization.

US, Canada to share troops
From the Edmonton Journal comes this report... It's not strange that our leftist US news media didn't cover this! I just did a GOOGLE search and of the first 100 results, the only US screams of outrage are ALL bloggers. Lots of Canadian media results about it. Why? Some links are located at the bottom of this article. I am looking to see if any US MSM carried this.
Remember the reports of summits between Bush and the prime ministers of Mexico and Canada, NAFTA, North American Union, and all the other info? Here is evidence that they are proceeding and hoping we wont notice until it is fait accompli.

U.S., Canada may share troops in civil emergencies
But groups in both countries oppose sending armies across borders
David Pugliese, Ottawa Citizen; Canwest News Service
Published: Saturday, February 23OTTAWA - Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the militaries from either nation to send troops across each other's borders during an emergency.
But some are questioning why the Harper government has kept silent on the deal.
Neither the Canadian government nor the Canadian Forces announced the new agreement, which was signed Feb. 14 in Texas. The U.S. military's Northern Command, however, publicized the agreement with a statement outlining how its top officer, Gen. Gene Renuart, and Canadian Lt.-Gen. Marc Dumais, head of Canada Command, signed the plan, which allows the military from one nation to support the armed forces of the other nation during a civil emergency.
The new agreement has been greeted with suspicion by the left wing in Canada and the right wing in the U.S.
The Council of Canadians is against what it calls the increasing integration of the U.S. and Canadian militaries.
"It's kind of a trend when it comes to issues of Canada-U.S. relations and contentious issues like military integration. We see that this government is reluctant to disclose information to Canadians that is readily available on American and Mexican websites," said Stuart Trew, a researcher with the Council of Canadians.
Canada Command spokesman Commander David Scanlon said it will be up to civilian authorities in both countries on whether military assistance is requested or even used. He said the agreement is "benign" and simply sets the stage for military-to-military co-operation if the governments approve.
On right-wing blogs in the U.S. it is being used as evidence of a plan for a "North American union" where foreign troops, not bound by U.S. laws, could be used by the American federal government to override local authorities.
"Co-operative militaries on Home Soil!" notes one website. "The next time your town has a 'national emergency,' don't be surprised if Canadian soldiers respond. And remember -- Canadian military aren't bound by posse comitatus."
Posse comitatus is a U.S. law that prohibits the use of federal troops from conducting law enforcement duties on domestic soil unless approved by Congress.
Scanlon said the actual agreement hasn't been released to the public as that requires approval from both nations. That decision has not yet been made.

The Illegals are getting bold again...
...saying "You cant deport all of us!" It is no accident that they are coming out to boldly say that the government is balless and doesn't dare touch them when they are gathered in the open. The choices for president this year: Moebama, Amnesty Panderer - HiLarry, Amnesty Panderer - Curley McCain, Amnesty Panderer. The Three Stooges are all on record as supporting amnesty of rillegal aliens to include super citizen status and full social security dating back to whenever that can get forged documents for.

Hundreds rally in Detroit in support of immigrant rights
by David Runk - AP Writer
Thursday May 01, 2008
DETROIT ? Carrying a sign with "They can't deport us all" handwritten on one side, 15-year-old Eduardo Casillas said he took Thursday off school to join hundreds rallying in his neighborhood in support of strengthened immigrant rights.
The sophomore at Western High School was born in the U.S., but has family from Mexico and said comprehensive immigration reform needs to be an important issue in this year's presidential race.
"Most people just came here for better jobs, better lives, to help their families," Casillas said.
The rally and march through the streets of southwest Detroit was part of a nationwide series of May Day protests organized by activists hoping to re-ignite the immigration debate and set an agenda for the next president. But turnout has fallen since the first nationwide rallies were held in 2006.
"The fight to defend our people is not just having a rally and going home and doing nothing," Baldemar Velasquez, the 61-year-old president of the Toledo, Ohio-based Farm Labor Organizing Committee, told the crowd at a Detroit park. "It's going home and fighting in the front to stop the raids, to stop the local police from working with the immigration authorities."
The neighborhood where the rally took place has a large Mexican American and Hispanic population. About half of residents claim a Hispanic heritage, according to the Southwest Detroit Business Association.
The throng of people was four city blocks in length as it made its way through streets that were closed to traffic. Detroit police said Thursday they didn't plan to release an official crowd estimate.
Janet Warren, 60, of Berkley, said she was at the rally for a second year and carried a red, white and blue sign that read "United We Stand" on one side and "Legalize hard work" on the other. She said a lack of progress on immigration reform over the past year made it necessary to attend.
"This is not a way for people to live, in fear," she said. "These people are here. We are a nation of immigrants. We are one people."
Those taking part in the march carried signs that featured messages in both English and Spanish. Among them: "Stop raids and deportations that separate families" and "Legalization for all immigrants now."
Spectators, including families with young children waving U.S. and Mexican flags, lined the route of the march, and some joined in as the marchers passed. Some wore Mexican flags draped over their shoulders.
"It is going to help my family and friends," said marcher Hugo Orozzo, a 17-year-old Western High senior.

Blog4Borders 030308 - Reconquista and 100% preventable crimes
Cross posted from "Bloggin on down the Rogue"
source permalink: Blog4Borders 030308
This week's vlog from Jake and MJ concerns Reconquista and is about our government allowing the invasion of our territory without a shot being fired from our side. It also lists some criminal activity by illegals that was 100% preventable if the government was doing its job protecting CITIZENS.
This is a topic that must be kept in mind as candidates from both the Democrats (Clinton and Obama) and Republicans (McCain) are for open borders and unrestricted immigration. These candidates of both parties have voted for amnesty legislation. These same candidates have voted to give away social security benefits to illegal aliens. This is something to keep in mind this coming November when you vote for one or the other (or do a write-in for a real conservative patriot like Alan Keyes or Duncan Hunter). Did you know that Alan Keyes was running this year? No? The MSM kingmakers have kept that fact VERY quiet while lionizing Barack Hussein Obama. In case you are not familiar, Alan is the lone black conservative Republican on the ticket this year. Statistically, Alan got 0.0% coverage from the socialist MSM.
The MSM is part of the amnesty cabal (along with Big Business, Big Religion and Big Union) so none of ths should be a big surprize to anyone.

Jorge's Earmark - $1.4 BILLION for Mexico while our borders are left open

The Merida Initiative - a $1.4 Billion Dollar Border Security Package for Mexico
by John Wallace
President Bush is pushing for a massive $1.4 billion, multi-year foreign-aid package for Mexico that is designed to help that country secure their southern border...
Yes, Bush has done everything in his power to leave our borders unprotected but wants to send $1.4 billion (1400 stacks of a million dollars) to Mexico!
Congress recently reduced funding for our own border security efforts, particularly for the border fence, giving money to a foreign country to secure their border would seem almost too unbelievable to be true.
Bush will spend this for Mexico but not for the USA.
Unfortunately, it is true and the plan is called "The Merida Initiative." The funding for this initiative is tucked into the 2008 supplemental budget...
We could expect no less from the corrupt politicians in our government.
Many of the meetings to create "The Merida Initiative" were held in secret by government representatives of both Mexico and the USA, without congressional input.
The proposed Merida Initiative is set to go before congress soon for approval. The entire funding package should be rejected outright and the $1.4 Billion should be immediately re-allocated and put to better use in securing our own border by hiring more Border Patrol agents, completing the border fence, speeding up the deportation of illegal aliens and upgrading the training and firepower of state and local law enforcement agencies in border states and ports of entry.
Let's secure America's border first, before we try to secure another country's border.

Keep The Faith?McCain (and Amnesty) Will Fail
By Joe Guzzardi
Let?s start with the good news. John McCain, the likely (but not absolutely certain) Republican nominee, will never be president.
(What are my credentials for such a bold statement? Wait until the last paragraph of this article!)
Coming after eight years of the disastrous George W. Bush administration and its legacy of war, lunatic immigration enthusiasm, indifference to the middle class and the crushing mortgage crisis, McCain would have a tough climb even if he were the ideal GOP candidate.
But in most ways, McCain is the worst possible candidate. He’s Bush all over again?maybe worse. Open those borders! Let?s stay a hundred more years in Iraq! (See McCain?s speech on YouTube here).
Good luck to McCain campaigning on a platform that echoes Bush and his 30 percent favorable poll rating.
Now for the bad news. If McCain doesn?t become president, then a Democrat will?most likely Hillary Clinton but there?s still plenty of time for Barack Obama to maneuver his way to the nomination.
Both are proud of their amnesty stances. And each insists, wrongly and hurtfully, that more non-immigrant worker visas are essential for the American economy to thrive.
To be sure, it?s a bummer that Republicans don?t have a solid patriotic immigration reform candidate that we can count on at the forefront of the race.
But have faith! Don?t panic! Amnesty will not come automatically regardless of who is elected. History and momentum are on our side.
Have readers totally forgotten how far we?ve come and the magnitude of our 2007 victories?
Here?s an example of what I mean.
Throughout Clinton and Obama?s campaigning and especially since McCain?s resurgence, my in-box has filled up with the direst messages?? It?s all over now,? ?This is the end!? and ?Amnesty is inevitable!?
Rightly outraged correspondents are aghast that Obama endorses driver?s licenses for illegal aliens. To them, it is beyond the pale.
And I agree that, after watching N.Y. governor Eliot Spitzer get put through the sausage grinder on alien licensing, it is astonishing that any candidate would touch the subject, especially when it is so easily dodged by merely saying that states?not the federal government?regulate driving.
But that?s my point: who really cares what Obama thinks about licenses? He has no control over it. Any at his own risk.
And the same can be said about presidential opinions on amnesty: that issue is determined in Congress, not the White House.
To better understand the strength of our position, let?s review what?s happened in the amnesty wars since Bush took office.
Bush, at the outset, blindsided many (not all) of us. We didn?t foresee his fanatical devotion to open borders.
As hard as this still may be for some Republicans to swallow, it is impossible?as a practical matter?to be a bigger open borders advocate than Bush.
Remember that Bush?s first out-of-the country trip was to Mexico and the first foreign leader he invited to the White House was Vicente Fox. And Bush had barely survived the dangling chad vote count before he floated an amnesty trial balloon in the spring of 2001.
Then, after his 2004 re-election, Bush vowed to use what he perceived as his accumulated ?political capital? to push for amnesty. Result: nothing!
And yet again after the 2006 mid-term election and as Bush worked non-stop with the pro-open border Democrats who controlled Congress, he still couldn?t push through an amnesty despite a series of passionate pleas he made in Arizona and during a rare (for a president) personal visit to Capitol Hill.
In short, for eight years Bush was repeatedly embarrassed on the immigration issue by both Republican- and Democratic-controlled Congresses.
Since Senators Clinton, Obama and McCain were all present and close-up witnesses to the series of beatings Bush took, is it realistic to expect that the first matter of business for whoever is elected will be amnesty?
Not very likely?and that?s not just my opinion either.
During a trip to Washington D.C. in December I attended separate meetings with immigration reform leaders that included NumbersUSA Executive Director Roy Beck, Mark Krikorian and Steve Camarota of Center for Immigration Studies, Hudson Institute Senior Fellow John Fonte and the Federation for American Immigration Reform. The overwhelming consensus is that amnesty is ?too toxic? a subject and that it will not rear its ugly head until 2010 at the earliest.
This is a huge change. Remember that in January 2007, when the 110th U.S. Congress was sworn in, nearly every immigration reform advocate on Capitol Hill assumed that the Senate would pass an amnesty again after a tough fight (as it did in 2006), and that we would ultimately have to stop it in the House of Representatives.
Beating it back in the Senate was seen as requiring something of a political miracle, given the odds against us.
For a solid six months, newspaper editorial boards, the majority of columnists and reporters as well as the leadership of businesses, unions, civil rights groups, universities, religions (most visibly the Roman Catholic Church) and ethnocentric lobbyists predicted that ?comprehensive immigration? legislation was inevitable.
They were all wrong. Instead, the bill was stopped in the Senate without ever getting to the House.
Here?s what happened instead:
|
|
The Senate defeated amnesty and a green card increase in May?and again in June! |
|
|
A smaller amnesty, the Dream Act, also considered inevitable because of its impact on ?the children ? went down in October. |
|
|
As a result of three consecutive defeats and despite a massive assault by the print media and the Chambers of Commerce nationwide predicting bushels of unpicked rotting fruit, an AgJobs amnesty never surfaced. |
|
|
The new Democratic leadership in the House headed by illegal immigration fanatic Nancy Pelosi did not even attempt to move an amnesty bill through a subcommittee?let alone the floor. |
In the meantime,
|
|
Rep. John Gingrey (R-GA) introduced H.R. 938, the Nuclear Family Priority Act that will reduce the numbers of family sponsored immigrants (chain migration) and limit them to spouses and minor children. The bill currently has 31 co-sponsors. |
|
|
Rep. Robert Goodlatte (R-VA) has added 58 co-signers to his H.R. 1430, the Security and Enhancement Fairness for America Act that would eliminate the 50,000-diversity visa lottery. This is a significant move forward in reducing legal immigration. |
And, most significantly, Congressional Democrats proposed tough enforcement legislation
|
|
Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC) introduced the SAVE Act (Secure America Through Verification and Enforcement) that bulks up the E-verify system to identify legal U.S. workers. The bill has been co-signed by 142 representatives?50 Democrats and 92 Republicans. |
|
|
Mark Pryor (D-ARK) and David Vitter (R-LA) forwarded legislation similar to Shuler?s in the U.S. Senate. |
Use 2007?widely but incorrectly predicted to be a disastrous year for patriotic immigration reform?as a guideline.
And, big difference, in 2008, we are forewarned and forearmed.
Not the slightest clue exists that Americans are more receptive to amnesty than they were in 2007. In fact, the reverse is true.
Judge for yourself where we standing by asking this simple question: would you rather be on our side, winning the battles as we fight them, or on La Raza?s team, consistently losing while its captain, Janet Murguia, becomes more frighteningly unhinged with each defeat?
Sure, it would be nice not to have to go to the mat again and again. I?m at a point in my life where I?d like to write fewer columns so I could spend more time upgrading my butterfly collection.
But I?m confident that no matter who wins the November election?the bad, the worse or the worst?we?ll beat back our opponents as consistently and as thoroughly as we have for the last several years.
We have brought immigration into the limelight of presidential politics?a huge triumph in itself?and we?ve won on the playing field.
So don?t fall victim to negativity. Based on our recent record, there?s no real reason for it.
And my credentials for saying this? I don?t like to blow my horn. But I predicted that the McCain-Bush-Kennedy Immigration Surge/ Amnesty bill would fail and when it was exhumed, I predicted it would be reburied. I predicted that front-runner Giuliani would flame out. I said that Mitt Romney should stop Hispandering and run against illegal immigration?without which, as Steve Sailer has pointed out, Romney ?would have been tarred and feathered and run out of California on a rail?. And I warned New York?s Spitzer that his driver licence plan would end in Gray Davis-type humilation.
So I repeat: McCain won?t be President. Amnesty will not pass.

Mexico seeks US probe of border tear gas

MEXICO CITY - Mexicohas formally requested the United States investigate recent incidents in which Border Patrol officers fired tear gas onto the Mexican side of the border, the government said Thursday.
After being upbraided by the country's top human rights agency for failing to press Washington enough on the issue, Mexico's Foreign Relations Department issued a statement calling the tactic "unacceptable."
The Border Patrol says the tactic is
necessary to protect its officers from increasing attacks by people
hurling rocks and other objects at them from Mexico. "Independently of
whether these incidents are a response to hostile acts against Border
Patrol agents by private citizens on the Mexican side, the Mexican
government considers these actions by U.S. federal authorities to be
unacceptable," Foreign Relations said in a statement. The department
said it sent a letter to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico
City on Jan. 15 requesting "a thorough investigation." It added
that a Mexican boy was injured in one of the incidents, but did not give
details.
The Border Patrol reported 987 attacks ? many with rocks ? on its agents during the 12-month period that ended Sept. 30, the most since it began keeping track in the late 1990s. U.S. officials say they have talked to Mexican authorities about the issue. The Borde
