NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico ? Texas officials cleared the way Monday for the execution of Jose Medellin, one of 51 Mexican nationals on U.S. death row, for his role with five other members of a Houston gang in the 1993 murder and rape of two teenage girls.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles on Monday rejected Medellin's request for a reprieve. Medellin, 33, is scheduled to die by lethal injection at 6 p.m. CDT today.

Allison Castle, a spokeswoman for the governor, "This is an individual who along with five others brutally and viciously gang-raped, stomped, kicked, slashed, strangled and murdered two young teenage girls. We don?t care where you?re from. If you commit a despicable crime like this in Texas, you?ll face the ultimate penalty under our laws."

"Jose Medellin is nothing more than a poster boy for the death penalty," said Jennifer?s father, Randy Ertman, who now lives in a country residence near Somerville with Sandra, his wife of more than 30 years. "He?s been on Death Row longer than Jennifer was alive."

The execution is scheduled for after 6 p.m. Tuesday. Medellin, 33, has declined the customary last meal and nearly all media requests for interviews, said Michelle Lyons, spokeswoman for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The Merida Initiative - a $1.4 Billion Dollar Border Security Package for Mexico

President Bush is pushing for a massive $1.4 billion, multi-year foreign-aid package for Mexico that is designed to help that country secure their southern border...

Yes, Bush has done everything in his power to leave our borders unprotected but wants to send $1.4 billion (1400 stacks of a million dollars) to Mexico!

Congress recently reduced funding for our own border security efforts, particularly for the border fence, giving money to a foreign country to secure their border would seem almost too unbelievable to be true.

Bush will spend this for Mexico but not for the USA.

Unfortunately, it is true and the plan is called "The Merida Initiative." The funding for this initiative is tucked into the 2008 supplemental budget...

We could expect no less from the corrupt politicians in our government.

Many of the meetings to create "The Merida Initiative" were held in secret by government representatives of both Mexico and the USA, without congressional input.

The proposed Merida Initiative is set to go before congress soon for approval. The entire funding package should be rejected outright and the $1.4 Billion should be immediately re-allocated and put to better use in securing our own border by hiring more Border Patrol agents, completing the border fence, speeding up the deportation of illegal aliens and upgrading the training and firepower of state and local law enforcement agencies in border states and ports of entry.

Let's secure America's border first, before we try to secure another country's border.

Mexico seeks US probe of border tear gas

MEXICO CITY - Mexicohas formally requested the United States investigate recent incidents in which Border Patrol officers fired tear gas onto the Mexican side of the border, the government said Thursday.

After being upbraided by the country's top human rights agency for failing to press Washington enough on the issue, Mexico's Foreign Relations Department issued a statement calling the tactic "unacceptable."

The Border Patrol says the tactic is necessary to protect its officers from increasing attacks by people hurling rocks and other objects at them from Mexico. "Independently of whether these incidents are a response to hostile acts against Border Patrol agents by private citizens on the Mexican side, the Mexican government considers these actions by U.S. federal authorities to be unacceptable," Foreign Relations said in a statement. The department said it sent a letter to the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City on Jan. 15 requesting "a thorough investigation." It added that a Mexican boy was injured in one of the incidents, but did not give details.

The Border Patrol reported 987 attacks ? many with rocks ? on its agents during the 12-month period that ended Sept. 30, the most since it began keeping track in the late 1990s. U.S. officials say they have talked to Mexican authorities about the issue. The Border Patrol recently equipped agents in California and Arizona with a pepper-spray launcher that has a range of more than 200 feet, and says they are only used defensively.

On Wednesday, Mexico's National Human Rights Commission urged the government to do more to stop the incidents and take "urgent and decisive action."

The organizations, which announced their new name Thursday in a conference call with reporters, include the National Council of La Raza, a Hispanic civil rights group; the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops; the Service Employees International Union; the National Immigration Forum; and the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank based in New York.

?This is the year to get this done,? said Tamar Jacoby, a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. ?Everybody, no matter who they are, is sick of the illegality and the porous borders. Businesses are tired of lying to the government and having to break the law just to get the work done. Latinos want to see their friends and family able to work with dignity. And soccer moms and dads want to see Congress solve something.?

Bruce Josten, executive vice president at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, said he expected President Bush to address immigration in his State of the Union speech Tuesday.

?I have absolutley no doubt that he will raise this issue and he will press and stay on the message he has been on since a candidate for this office for a comprehensive solution to immigration,? Josten said.

White House spokesman Tony Snow confirmed the topic.

The speech ?will address major issues, including the war on terror, energy, health care, immigration, and education,? he told reporters Thursday.

The AXIS: Despite the backing of the US Chamber of Commerce, the Bishops, Arch Bishops, and Cardinals of the American Catholic Church, Big Union (AFL-CIO represented by SEI), a putatively conservative think tank (Manhattan Institute), El Presidente Bush, the DNC including all but a bare handfull of Democrat senators, approximately half of the GOP senators (including Frist, the GOP senate majority leader), MoveOnKoSoroStryker (arguably this IS the true leadership of the DNC politburo), and the MSM which is always sympathetic to socialist/leftist causes, but especially for amnesty...

Can you imagine the expression on the face of El Presidente Bush when he found out that The PATRIOTS had been flooding their senators and congressmens phones, faxes, and emails with demands that this bad legislation be defeated... and it was.

The AXIS made another stealth attempt with a renumbered amnesty package (S.1639). They tried a tactic of making the legislators unavailable except through special hotlines to allow illegal aliens to call in, excluding The PATRIOTS. These numbers were made public and citizens started using them too. Once again, The Patriots prevailed over The AXIS.

The midterm elections in 2007 was a turning point. It turned the senate and house over to Democrats. The new majority was made possible by new Democrat candidates who ran on platforms that were, in most cases, more conservative than their opponents. Time will tell if this is true.

The AXIS was not through with their attempts though. Instead of the comprehensive, big package approach, they shifted gears and now are using the incremental approach of attaching small items to other unrelated legislation to slip it to us a little at a time. The DREAM act was such a piece of legislation.

The AXIS had one victory in December of 2007. The managed to defund and kill the border fence that was authorized in 2006. This is a reason that patriotic citizens must stand together.

[The "death by a thousand cuts" analogy has been made as relates to the slow infiltration, occupation, and take over of our southwestern states without a shot being fired except by criminal gangs of illegals. El Presidente Bush has no intention of enforcing immigration law strenuously during his tenure, so this will fall to whoever is elected as the next president. By that time it may be necessary to use military units to clean out and retake our territory from the occupying hoard while guarding the border against military incursions from the south.]

Whooping cough is BAAAaaaaack!

[Sorry 'bout the long hiatus away from the blog. I have been doing some posting over in my main blog but have really felt burned out. Here is an article that covers a part of why we MUST get control of our borders.Last spring, one of my grandchildren was disgnosed with whooping cough and all the rest of us were put on antibiotics because we had been in contact. My wife and I were on a 5 day ZithroMax treatment. We have no idea how the grandkids may have come into contact with pertussis but this is one of those diseases that was thought to have been stamped out in this country. Wrong! Un-vaccinated illegal aliens are bringing in all sorts of diseases and bledding hearts are all for letting it continue because it enriches their wallets. Blame Bush, Pelosi, McCain, Brownback, Kennedy, Clinton, Obama, and a majority of the elected Democrats in the US House and Senate. Many senate Republicans are at fault too.]

The president wants to enforce a decision by the International Court of Justice that found the convictions of Medellin and 50 other Mexican-born prisoners violated their rights to legal help as outlined in the 1963 Vienna Convention.

Border Patrol agents dont have the responsibility of apprehending illegal immigrants, Carlos X. Carrillo, chief patrol agent for the Laredo sector, said at a town hall meeting Wednesday.

"The Border Patrol is not equipped to stop illegal immigrants," Carrillo said, noting that illegal narcotics are also not on the agents priority list.

"The Border Patrol mission is not to do any of those things," he emphasized.

"The Border Patrols mission is to keep the country safe from terrorist and terrorist weapons." he said. Carrillo added that when and if terrorists come into the country, the agents will be ready.

During a presentation to about 50 people, he also explained the different deployment tactics agents use to identify who crosses the border.

A hot issue during the meeting was the construction of a fence along the Rio Grande.

Carrillo said the Carrizo cane along the river is an environmental challenge. He said that before enforcing any type of fence, the Carrizo canes need to be addressed, allowing agents to patrol and spot traffic in the river.

Mayor Raul Salinas spoke to the audience about using taxpayer money to build a fence.

"I want a secure border, but I want more common sense," Salinas said, adding that the fence would affect relations with Mexico.

A concerned citizen asked about deterrence.

Carrillo said deterrence comes from working with the community. He added that having a certain number of agents working an area indicates to the community their presence in the area.

A concerned citizen, who lives on property about 34 miles out of Laredo on Interstate 35, said she has seen from 20 to 50 illegal immigrants daily. She said agents have addressed the situation before, but they can only do so much and the situation continues.

Carrillo responded that the Border Patrol will look into the issue.

To report any suspicious activity, Carrillo said, residents should contact Immigration and Customs Enforcement at (800) 973-2867.

Why no fence yet?

I was asked "why no fence yet?"...

We have a president that refuses to enforce the law. The legislature and president passed into law over 700 miles of fence and vehicle barrier but Bush is holding it hostage for amnesty for illegal aliens. No amnesty, no border security. Presidential amnesty extortion, and dereliction of oath and duty. Bush thinks we are stupid and that we would give him the amnesty for the act of authorizing a triple layer fence for less than 1/3rd of the US/Mexico border.

We may assume that Bush and Kennedy (along with Brownback, Hagel, Specter, Martinez, Obama, Clinton, Kerry, and more) will conspire against the citizens of the USA again just as surely as we expect to be hit by a terror attack because [1]Bush has the powers and laws to close the borders NOW, [2]but Bush, in a juvenile snit, has left the borders/ports wide open.... "No Amnesty, No Border Security!"

Both Bush and Kennedy are traitors and co-conspirators.

Just that simple.

We need to demand that Bush be impeached and removed from office. He should be put on trial for treason after that.

Bush, McCain and other panderers must be crying crocodile tears by now.

Obviously there are a bunch of the pandering politicians that want us to just go back to sleep while they decide how to slip by us how to legalize millions of law breakers.

Now that we have temporarily stymied them, it is no time to go back to sleep and let them advance their plans by other means.

Since we will not sit back like good little children, what they want next is:

Now is the time to put the smae pressure on our congressmen and senators telling them we want our current immigration laws enforced and we want that border fence/wall NOW!

Next, we must DEMAND enforcement of laws concerning the hiring of illegal aliens that are currently on the books! Demand that deportations continue even if they are of the showplace variety that Bush has used to make it look like he is doing something. Even these will encourage soem self deportations.

If it takes the impeachment of Bush for dereliction of his oath and failure to uphold laws protecting our borders and ports of entry, then so be it!

Q: Why are so many Republican Senators openly championing illegal immigration, that is anathema to the conservative base of the party?

A: [1] They have never been truly beholden to the base except at election time. Illegal Alien selling Pot-cicles arrested in Mission Texas

MISSION, Texas (AP) ? Police say the jingle of this ice cream truck meant pot-sickles. Police say elementary school students tipped them off to an ice cream truck driver who was apparently selling $5 and $10 bags of marijuana from the truck. Most customers were in the third, fourth, and fifth grades.

?It?s a scary thought, but that?s the info we received,? Mission police Chief Leo Longoria said.

Raymundo Flores, a 40-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico, was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of marijuana. He was transported to Hidalgo County jail after a judge set bond at $30,000. His case will likely be turned over to federal immigration officials, Assistant Police Chief Robert Dominguez said. ?

That is chump change to the Bush Cartel. They'll probably bail him out, hustle him back to safety in Mexico, and then offer him immunity to testify in the prosecution of the Mission Police force for brutality, or impeding commerce, or theft of his business and livelihood. Johnny Sutton will be the star Bush Cartel prosecutor on the case.

Wake up people or you will be the new minority in as short a period of time as 10 years. Your children and grandchildren will have to learn several languages to get by. English may be relegated to second-language status. Medical care as you know it now will be gone forever.

Amnesty for illegals is about to happen unless you let your representative in the House know in no uncertain terms that his time in office is over unless he protects you, your children, grand children, and heirs downline. Most senators are like Bush. They really do not give a damn what you think unless it is time to get a vote from you. For example: US Senator Debbie Stabenow [D-Mi] this last year in the midterm election voted against S.2611, lets see how she votes on S.1348. She voted for Social Security for illegals and then voted against S.2611 when she saw that it might hurt her re-election to vote for it.

George Bush no longer has to listen to US citizens. He is a lame duck in the last term of his presidency. He is virtually untouchable.

The ONLY thing that will get his attention is the real possibility of impeachment. Democrats will not do it because they now have someone who can be eventually bent to their will in the Oval Office. That he can be blamed for anything not politically correct is part of the equation. Last year there was serious talk of impeaching Bush from Democrats. Not now. They now consider him a usefull idiot. Besides he will help Dems gain a new temporary minority to represent. If any RINO thinks the legalized illegals will be Republican, they must be huffing glue.

As for policiy matters, Bush has Iraq/Afghanistan overseas. A necessary war that keeps Al Quaeda tied down there. He sends our troops over there and leaves our borders completely open here.

Then there is his domestic focus which does not include citizens. He is 100% behind amnesty and citizenship for illegal aliens. It doesnt matter that in 10 years there will be 100 million aliens pushing citizens out of the way as the citizens become the new minority. Opinions of citizens do not even register. Bush wants to dissolve our borders with Canada and Mexico and form one big North American Union, much like the European Union with new laws, courts and money. Obviously we do not count in this calculation. He wants increased immigration from other third world countries. We have to keep a ready supply of unskilled low wage laborers to be assured of a serf class. The American middle class will become part of his dream as he will be part of the ruling class.

Does this make you feel better about El Presidente Jorge Bush? The Democrats (at least their leadership) all figure on being somewhere in the ruling class too. The union workers will get the shaft as the low wage imports will screw them. Big Union figures that they will win regardless with a new underclass to represent. Big Business wins because of cheap labor. The Christian coalition has members of the Amnesty Axis because they think it is the Christian thing to do, by shredding the only safety net we have. Another analogy is to think of the USA as a lifeboat. It can carry a certain number of people. When you try to add more, it will capsize and all might drown. Think on it!

Only the citizens get screwed, no thank you, no reach around, no vaseline. And WE have to pay for the Bush grand amnesty dream!
