Health Care For Illegals - Part and Parcel of Obama and McCain Amnesty Dreams
Remember back to the big panderfests of the 2006-2007 legislative years when our elected representatives were clawing and scratching to see who could grovel the lowest before the illegals. Senate Bill 2611 was one of the results. We have the list of all those who voted for it. Obama and McCain are on the list.
On this topic when you point a finger at one candidate, you must include the other.

Democrats' single most important domestic proposal — universal health insurance — may blow up in Barack Obama's face when voters are exposed to the deadly details.
Obama has said, proudly and often, "I am going to give health insurance to 47 million Americans who are now without coverage." But are they "Americans?"
That 47 million statistic includes illegal immigrants, who virtually all lack insurance. In fact, about one in four of those lacking insurance is here illegally.
Care for illegals is the biggest unmet medical need in our nation, and Obama's program targets it squarely. But do we really want to give them federally paid coverage equal to what US senators get, as Obama proposes? (...and as McCain also hopes? He is letting Obama be the lightning rod, but he too holds this as a fervent desire.)

ScumWare - a virus called AntiVirus 2009
I have just returned from my son's house. He called me for help because something had popped up on screen last night looking very WINDOWS official saying that his virus scan program was out of date and did he want to update? He hit "yes" and the scumware loaded.
It uses the same Security Center Shield as Windows and even installs its own "Security Center" on the WinXP control panel. Once installed it faked a scan and told him that he had 71 pieces of various types of malware and did he want to remove them??? When he said yes it popped up a screen saying it would cost him ONLY $49.95. When he closed out the acreens, and tried to load his old virus scan progrm the other kept popping up...
At this point, he called me for help as he is a complete computer noob. I tried a bit of stopgap help and tried to have him use the free Trend Micro Housecall. That ran for a while and then froze. Nothing for me to do but go take a look at the thing.
When I got there and looked at what was left, his computer was naked; AVG, Spybot S&D, ZoneAlarm were all disabled. I think that this scumware - hijackware "Antivirus 2009" is really a virus. I am glad I brought my bag of tricks. As the old time cop shows used to say, "Be on the lookout". This is most likely spread via shady web sites using popups. Have you seen any of the popup type screens that do not obey the no-popup setting in Firefox? How the heck do they do it?

As in the past when Martin Luther chose to break away and founded his pseudo-Catholic sect in Germany, the Lutheran Church, a NEW heretic group, the Roman Catholic Womenpriests (RCWP) has emerged after clandestine, unapproved ordinations on the Danube, claiming legitimacy for woman bishops, priests, and deacons . The claim is made that current male active Roman Catholic Bishops in Germany performed the ordinations according to Church tradition and law. These RCWP bishops are proceeding to spread the heresy here in the USA with ordinations of heretic woman priests and deacons. A few of these heretics are former nuns.

RCWP Response Regarding Papal Excommunication Decree
Roman Catholic Womenpriests reject the penalty of excommunication issued by the Vatican Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith on May 29, 2008 stating that the “women priests and the bishops who ordain them would be excommunicated latae sententiae.” Roman Catholic Womenpriests are loyal members of the church who stand in the prophetic tradition of holy obedience to the Spirit’s call to change an unjust law that discriminates against women. The position of the Pope and US Bishops of the Roman Catholic Church is clear; that women who are participants in RCWP are excommunicated. They can not be "loyal members of the church" . They are NOT believers of the word of Christ as written in the following bible passage

The Pope has said that these women are excommunicated. Thus as it is bound on earth it is bound in heaven.
It is quite obvious that they do NOT believe and thus can not be true members of the Roman Catholic Church. They are repeating and renewing the heresy commited by Martin Luther in a new schism. This is obviously an attempt of Satan to divide the Church in the USA.

Gasoline and Diesel Prices... Do you feel like you've been raped?
Do you have a choice? Can you just park your car and walk to work, or take public transportation? Most of us can NOT!
Pundits like Rush Limbaugh and others pooh-pooh the idea that speculators are driving the price of gas at the pump.
I just did a quick drive around my local area to see what the posted prices for regular gas are. Within a couple miles of where I am typing this from, the low price was $4.22 and the high price is $4.25. A couple weeks ago we had at some of these stations selling it for $4.12 so there has not been a huge amount of movement, but it has been upward regardless.
But have you noticed how prices shoot up overnight at the slightest hint of anything affecting oil, not just the supply? Speculation? Who is speculating?
When oil prices go down, gas prices stay up with hints that the overnight increased (gouge) price may slowly fall over the coming weeks.
Gas prices follow (and even anticipate) oil prices upward movement but not when they fall, so you figure out, is there gouging going on, and who is gouging who. Follow the money... who is making "record prifits" while the country suffers? It is not like we have a choice.
One thing is certain, our high gasoline prices are pleasing to the Democrat controlled congress. 10 years ago Der Schlickmeister vetoed oil exploration in ANWR and off the continental shelf when we could have been drilling and producing now. Now they say that we can't drill our way out of the current crisis. With the Democrats, everything is a crisis and it is pleasing to them They are happiest when the country is suffering.

Liberals have come up with two mantras which we hear on every talk show, in every press conference and in every speech addressing the high cost of gasoline.
[1] The first mantra is that it will take at least 10, maybe 30 years before we see a drop of oil coming from the ground at the aforementioned sites.
On the first point, correspondent Ken Wood pointed out that Larry Kudlow recently featured on his television show James T. Hackett, President and CEO of Anadarko Petroleum Company. Whereas some liberals are saying it could take 30 years for the oil to be available, Hackett said it would take two or three years, depending upon where the oil was drilled. Indeed, I saw one oil exploration expert on Fox News Channel who said that if the right equipment were available it would take only one year to get the first oil since the oil companies know exactly where the oil is located in the outer Continental Shelf. One oil shale expert told proponents of drilling in the House of Representatives that the first 800 million barrels of oil from shale could be available in two or three years. The remaining estimated two trillion barrels of oil from shale would take longer to have ready because they would be more difficult to extricate. But the initial 800 million barrels would help the U.S. economy.
[2] The second mantra is that greedy oil companies already have 86 million acres of leases provided by the Federal Government. They only want more leases to satisfy their greed.
On the second point, I received two different answers. Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK), who used to be in the oil business, said the reason oil companies are not drilling on the 86 million acres is that there is no substantial oil available on those lands to make drilling economically viable. He said the government only permits exploration on those leased lands, so oil companies have explored them and found that they would produce little. The second answer came from Hackett. He said the federal government is, in effect, guilty of fraud. They accept the lease money and the annual rents but have refused to grant permission to drill there. He implied that some oil had been found that would be worthwhile to extract but since they cannot drill the consumer sees no benefits. Either way, to accuse oil companies of greed is an unfounded assertion.

McCains self image: In the mold of Theodore Roosevelt
Meanwhile, if you examine positions taken by McCain, he is more closely in the mold of Teddy's cousin Franklin Delano Roosevelt. He envisions himself holding a big stick, riding roughshod over the corpses of conservatives while retooling the Republican brand in his own image, a wobbly moderate large government politician. McCain dreams of shifting the conservative paradigm to straddle the line allowing Democrats to also claim membership. This will be his marriage proposal gift to Joe Lieberman to entice him to accept the vice presidency.
"Little Johnny" McCain surrounds himself with New Deal liberals and moderates and is reforming the Grand Old party into the New Deal Republican Neo-Democrats.

Obama already has all he needs by reading reports from the liiberal MSM plus polls to establish a liberal baseline.

ABC News' Sunlen Miller reports: Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., argued in San Diego today that just because Sen. John McCain has made multiple visits to Iraq, that does not mean that he has the correct perspective on the region.
"John McCain has been in Congress 25 years, no doubt about that. If this is a longevity measure, then John McCain wins," Obama said to reporters. "I'll recall the visit he made last year in which he was surrounded by helicopters and SWAT teams and came back and reported how safe everything was in Baghdad. You know, I don't think that that was indicative of what was actually happening on the ground at that time."
Obama is heading to Iraq later this month for what will be only his second visit to the country -– compared to McCain’s eight trips.
In response, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds says, ""If Barack Obama believes that visiting Iraq and meeting with commanders will not give him any new perspective, then we can only assume he's going just to smile for the cameras."
Obama shot down the question that the disproportionate number of visits has left him with a lack of knowledge about the region -– citing past positions he's taken about the Iraq war.
[ed: Like a position that The Yellow Cake Dems Said Didn't Exist has been removed and shipped out to a safe processing facility, and that Bush lied as an excuse to invade Iraq? I am still waiting for a Democrat response to the report of 550 metric tons of yellow cake uranium being removed from Sadddam's nuke facility.]

Tony Snow, the former White House press secretary and
conservative pundit who bedeviled the press corps and charmed millions
as a FOX News television and radio host, died after a long bout with
cancer. He was 53.
A syndicated columnist, editor, TV anchor, radio show host and musician, Snow worked in nearly every medium in a career that spanned more than 30 years.
"Laura and I are deeply saddened by the death of our dear friend, Tony Snow," President Bush said in a statement. "The Snow family has lost a beloved husband and father. And America has lost a devoted public servant and a man of character."
Robert Anthony Snow was born June 1, 1955, in Berea, Ky., the son of a teacher and nurse. He graduated from Davidson College in 1977 with a bachelor's degree in philosophy, and he taught briefly in Kenya before embarking on his career as a journalist.
Snow died at 2 a.m. Saturday at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Snow is survived by his wife, Jill Ellen Snow (Walker), whom he married in 1987; their son, Robbie; and daughters, Kendell and Christie.

Obama and NASCAR
NASCAR has been edging toward politics since it was noted that a majority of "NASCAR-dads" are conservative which used to translate as Republican.
While poking around the WIKIO politics section I spotted this article. Seems that NASCAR's BAM Racing Team has offered Barrack Hussein Obama a chance at NASCAR racing respectability as a car/team sponsor. Just imagine, a picture of the Obamessiah on the hood, roof, and trunk of the race car giving everyone his liberal blessing as he roars around the track in a constant left turn. This would be a natural for a leftist/socialist like Barry as he is always turning left naturally.
Just like bowling, racing is not in Obama's blood and the offer was turned down.

JOLIET, Ill. (Map, News) - NASCAR's BAM Racing team has presented Barack Obama's presidential campaign with a potential sponsorship deal in the Sprint Cup series later this year, but it doesn't look like an Obama car will be burning rubber on the track anytime soon.
BAM team spokesman Rhett Vandiver told The Associated Press on Friday that the team made a sponsorship proposal to the Democratic presidential hopeful's campaign, and has made similar proposals to the campaign of Republican John McCain and at least one third-party candidate.
Late Friday, the Obama campaign said there would be no sponsorship.
"The Obama campaign will not be sponsoring a car in the Sprint Cup series, though we will continue to look for ways to reach out to voters and convey Senator Obama's message of change." said Bill Burton, an Obama campaign spokesman.
